Fantastic experience: I have just returned from 6 weeks in Europe, organised by the lovely agent Evelina Siegrist-Tucci at Cairns Central Travel. Evelina was wonderful, listening to exactly what I wanted from my trip and supporting me with achieving all of the travel goals I had! She was readily available, caring, and helped me make decisions that were paramount for my safety, ease of travel as well as getting the most out of the trip! She truly was great! My mother also wants to thank her a million times over for keeping me safe (choice of accommodation location, tips for public transport, advice on travelling solo and always being available even while I was away)! I will be coming back for her help with every trip now and would highly recommend her service!

Negative experience: Walked into this place for the first time. Asked if the place was closing because the door was half pulled across. The lady said “it depends on what you want, what do you want”? I’m sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt you. Next time close your doors so no one is an inconvenience to you. Not welcoming. You are a travel agency and what I wanted was to book a trip. What else would I want. Went somewhere else that was way more approachable and willing to help.

Fantastic experience: I recently went on a 30 day cruise around South America and departing from Bangkok through the middle east to the US and then to South America. All flights, connections, Visas and cruise information was meticulously sought from Travel agent Billie. Her attention to detail was amazing and the whole journey was a great success. Negative experience: I recently called the Cairns Travel Agency to inquire about travel to Africa. Peter provided me with the necessary fees to start to answer my questions, but unfortunately, he seemed quite busy and somewhat rude during our conversation. Despite this, I maintained a positive attitude and thanked him for his time. However, I was taken aback when he expressed frustration about being busy and mentioned cutting phone lines due to stress. It was disappointing to encounter such rudeness, but I remained polite and simply thanked him again before ending the call.

Negative experience: Not the best person or travel agent to approach. Worst customer service, Peter has been so rude over the phone and not even considerate to hear what the customer needs. Peter is so stressed to deal with his customers. Peter’s words over the phone was so disrespectful would never ever recommend any one. Its a shame to have travel agents like this. If your so stressed let someone else handle your job. Being rude and disrespectful over the phone is not accepted!

Negative experience: Spoke with the rudest, most unhelpful man ever, Peter, who insinuated that we were stupid and should be capable of booking these flights on our own. Will NOT return!

Negative experience: Walked in the door and was told that they don't need any more business by the owner as they are too busy didn't no that was my fault for looking at booking a trip if the lady wasn't so rude I may have made an appointment

Fantastic experience: Billie Williams arranges our flights for my family and I from the UK to Brisbane, which in a world pandemic is no easy task, She was very efficient and prompt with correspondence, we had all documentation needed to enter the different countries we were transiting through, well before the trip so everything was organised and made for a lot less stress in the airports. Fantastic experience: The staff is very knowledgeable and always finds the best fares/routes in record time! I've tried booking online and wasted hours, then gone in to see Billy or Peter at Cairns Central Travel and walked out with exactly what I wanted at a better fare than I could find myself. Now I don't even bother trying to do my own bookings, I just call or email or head in to Cairns Central Travel and save myself time and money. Good central location on the upper floor of the Centre near the food court.

Negative experience: I went in to ask for some advice on a online booking. Yes i knew they couldn't change anything. The lady me told me there was very little chance of changing my flight and there was absolutely no chance of getting accommodation in the Cape York area. Heads up , I was able to change my flight and I have accommodation on Thursday Island, even better. There is a lot of accommodation available.

Negative experience: Spoke to Peter, (the owner) recently about obtaining his help to organise visas and flights on a relatively urgent basis for an overseas trip ,,, Peter was agreeable to this in our first conversation and I left it with him, however after about two weeks nothing had occurred and my emails not responded to, called in to find out what was going on and Peter just abandoned the matter, of course then meaning I have to start again and potentially lose all this time spent already in waiting ... not good service if a business says it will do one thing then waits a period to advise it will not do this thing ... seems unreliable to me, be cautious if you are a business traveller and need to travel on fast track or on critical dates ,,, tried calling peter to resolve but would not take the call and just ignored me, a bad experience really

Fantastic experience: We have been using Peter for nearly twenty years. He understands what we want and always adds his own suggestions so we have been to places we may never have been otherwise. Right now having a wonderful time in Cancun en route to Cuba. The Cancun stopover is a huge bonus at Peter's suggestion. We moved to Brisbane nearly 10 years ago but Peter is still our go to travel agent.

Fantastic experience: I had never booked a holiday overseas before and was worried, but withing 2 minutes of arriving my mind was put completely to ease, Peter and Tomoko were fantastic and an absolute wealth of valuable information, I could not have done this trip without their help! I really wanted to go to the snow, immediately they asked me what I wanted to do there (skiing, just being in it, etc) and spoke to me about places that then suited my interests. I felt that they really cared about me enjoying my trip and really took the time to make sure I was completely happy with everything. I had a fantastic time and I will absolutely be a return customer.
