Fantastic experience: Had a beautiful day at Fitzroy! The transfer over was with Sunlover was great. Friendly staff, super spacious boat and a sun shiny day! The UNO cards with wine on the way home were a very good end to the day.

Fantastic experience: My sister did a scuba and the experience was fantastic, especially the dive team were very very helpful to her. We all did snorkelling and sea walking, again the team were very polite throughout. Very good food.

Fantastic experience: Very exciting experience! Had the chance to dive at Moore Reef with sunlover, and it was just great. Could experience their instructors professionalism and was actually surprised by the smooth approach they had with scuba beginners (intro dive) as being their first immersions, the operation and explanation must be the clearest possible to run a smooth dive + their friendliness Also the pontoon had a nice and comfy deck to chill, food was very yummy All staff were proactive and kind. Recommended

Fantastic experience: We really enjoyed our time at the Moore Reef. The staff were friendly and excellent, and the entire family enjoyed ourselves. Some expectations should probably be set: - Book your tickets probably 1-2 days before your planned trip. This way, you can be sure that there isn't a tropical storm at the reef. Check BoM's satellite images - This is one of the bigger companies going to the reef. There are a LOT of people, including tour groups. If you want a more romantic, private tour, this isn't for you. That being said, there was plenty of staff on board and plenty to do. The pontoon is huge and there are tons of space and snorkeling area for people. - We booked our additions during the boat ride, which I recommend, again, so that you can accommodate for weather. - The Guided snorkel tour is recommended as you go beyond the allowed snorkel area. This brings you to the shallower areas which had more vibrant corals. - Sea walker is good if you want good photographs underwater. The photos when you are snorkeling are not flattering. With the sea walker, you are more stable, and the pictures turned out amazing. - The boat ride takes 2 hours. Yes, 2 hours. This includes a drop off at Fritzoy island. However, once we reached the pontoon, there was an additional 15 minute of wait time for the staff to get the pontoon setup. This is fine, but could have been communicated better. The boat (with plenty of young kids) were about to mutiny after the long boat ride. - Alcohol can be brought onboard, but if you are planning to go underwater (Sea walker/scuba), you will be asked not to drink. Prices are expensive but not outrageous. ($9 for a can of beer) - Everything you need to snorkel is provided, but I will recommend bringing a towel, as those are not provided. You will be wet, and without a towel, you will be dripping trying to get dry. - The boat reaches the reef at noon, so there is a lot of people queueing for lunch. A theme on this boat is don't be the first one and join queues. Rather, I will recommend going straight into the water or join one of the boat rides. Lunch is provided till 2pm, and once we were done with our activities at 1:30, there was still plenty of food available. - Multiple life guards are constantly on watch, so we felt really safe. The enclosed kids swimming pool was an excellent spot for our 4 year old, while our 8 year old enjoyed the water slide and went snorkeling with me. In summary, this is great for families. A bit more communication to set expectations will be welcomed. Expect crowds, but you will still have plenty of fun and space for the day.

Fantastic experience: Just came back from the reef - amazing day. We chose Sunlovers as even though the pontoon is smaller it was close to the corral so we did not have to swim as far, and also as there was a slide. Unfortunately it was raining so no slide but my son did not care as he was snorkeling the whole time. My wife has a walking stick and two bad feet. The crew could not do enough to ensure she was able to move around and have a great time especially Mason and Georgia who went above and beyond. Lunch was good and there was plenty of it, and it was nice to see that they did not over charge for the drinks, ice-cream, etc. I agree the WiFi did not work well (I was curious and found I needed to stand at the bar) but with the majesty of the ocean and the reef - who needs to be online? Fantastic experience: Don't listen to Dylan, he said you can ride the current in the snorkeling area until the life guards come and take you back in. What really happens, is they just blow the whistle and tell you to come back. I would have enjoyed the tow. Haha in all seriousness, this tour was very well put together: Super friendly and helpful staff, plenty of time to do the free excursions and also a good spread for lunch. You can't really ask for much more while checking out an amazing section of the reef. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: We recently booked Sunlover for our end of year team trip and had a perfect day! From the sales staff (Irish) right through to the staff onboard, the service was attentive, accommodating and friendly. The pontoon is well set up with unlimited activities. Lunch, could not fault, great fresh selection. If you are looking for a great option to suit everyone in your family, I would highly recommend Sunlover!

Fantastic experience: My sister, Mum and I had a wonderful time with Sunlover! We started our trip at Fitzroy island! The safety provided from the crew on the way to the island was outstanding! Our second day on the pontoon was full of snorkelling, diving and sun rays! The Buffett was fantastic and again the crew was friendly! However the biggest shout out goes to Joanna and Cora on the front desk! None of it would have been possible without them both! Fantastic service provided by them both!

Fantastic experience: This is a really enjoyable reef tour. Comfortable 1 hour boat ride to their pontoon at the reef. The coral around the pontoon is beautiful and there is so much sea life. We saw thousands of fish, turtles and got to pat a friendly Māori Wrasse. Lunch was decent and the kids loved the waterslide. All in all a great day, highly recommend.

Positive experience: We did the full day Moore reef cruise and it was a fantastic experience. Plenty of fishes and coral reefs to see around in the Moore reef region including a huge sea turtle. The best part of the Moore reef plantoon is the ocean water slide which is not found on other reef tours. The staff were really helpful and caring throughout the day however lunch was pretty OK and nothing great.

Fantastic experience: Me and my partner had a great day out on the reef. 4 hours was plenty of time to snorkel the whole area, and go on a semi-submarine ride, eat lunch and relax on the top deck. We were very lucky that the tour was not a full house, as I can imagine the swimming area would be a bit overcrowded if it was. At times there were less than 10 people in the water as there are a variety of activities to do, which was perfect. It’s a stunning part of the reef, very colourful and pristine. We saw thousands of brightly coloured fish, and a couple of turtles. Early June was a great time to go (before school holidays). All the staff were super lovely and attentive, it’s very accomodating for kids particularly. Overall we had a great day!

Fantastic experience: This was such an amazing trip on the great barrier reef for us as a family. Both my 4 and 10 year old boys absolutely loved it We will never forget this expeience and hope other families out there will get to one day be as lucky as we were and get to snorkle in the great barrier reef for the day.

Positive experience: We had such an awesome time on this tour to Moore Reef. My son and I did the introductory SCUBA dive and it was fabulous. We felt so safe and cared for the entire time and the underwater sea life we were shown were extraordinary- especially the turtles that we got so close to. Thanks so much for the experience Joseph- you were fantastic. My husband, a non swimmer, did the helmet walk and loved it so much. We also purchased the underwater photos that were taken- such great quality photos and so many which will help us remember the awesome experience. The only downside to the day was the safety briefing session. They commenced the session just as the seas became very choppy and it was held in the lower level of the boat that, at the time, had no air conditioning going. Hot, stuffy area with lots of people was a recipe for disaster. Vomiting going on everywhere but we were told if we left the area before the end of the session, we wouldn’t be able to dive. So we stayed but I got nothing out of the session because it’s too hard to listen and pay attention when your head is in a bag and vomiting constantly!!! Luckily we have dived before so we knew the rules/ safety guides. I suggest that they try and do this session earlier in the crossing before the waters get too choppy and to put aircon on so it’s not too hot for the large groups of people. Other than that, it would have been the perfect day all round!!!

Positive experience: Overall a very fun experience with many activities available to pick from. We didn’t book any of the snorkelling tours or scuba diving but it’s not necessary since you’ll be able to see the coral and fish up close by snorkelling off the pontoon yourself. The staff were amazing and friendly, however the pontoon could be expanded to accommodate all the passengers on board the cruise boat since it got a bit crowded when everyone was offloaded onto the pontoon. The buffet lunch was also decent, nothing amazing but somewhat fulfilling. The main highlight was definitely the snorkelling experience, it was very easy and fun to snorkel off the pontoon and you could see all the coral and fish up close, under the watch of lifeguards. Would definitely recommend booking with Sunlover Reef Cruises.

Fantastic experience: Long day but great fun. Submarine and glass bottom boats are perfect for young kids. Lunch was very average bring your own snacks and drinks.

Fantastic experience: What an AMAZING experience we had on Sunlover Cruises. We booked the previous day from one of the information booths in the mall and were so glad we did! A full 8 hour day out to Moore Reef where we swam with sea turtles, all kinds of fish and marine life; we even saw giant clams and a shark! Not to mention the absolutely 5 star buffet that is included in the price. Absolutely worth it for anyone visiting Cairns!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience and well organised tour. Make sure though you plan your activities as you feel 4 hours isn't enough if you don't activity like scuba diving especially if travelling with family. We had a great time. Food was decent and staff very friendly. Lifeguards went above and beyond to help my mum who couldn't swim. Only feedback I have is that the stingsuit do stink and if you can get your own it is advisable. But overall I think I must do I Cairns

Fantastic experience: We were a 5 group. They try to keep you together through the experience. The reef is amazing. I have to admit I thought it would be a normal diving trip. Nevertheless, once it started I was astonished: fishes, reefs, turtles. The instructor was so kind, really doing a good good job. Even the photographer has an good vibe and energy. All the photos were amazing!

Fantastic experience: The cruise has capacity of 400 but around 100 people boarded due to covid. Sick tablet helped and also 6 month old baby was fine without it. My 10 and 11 years old kids did guided snorkeling for half an hour. Cause guide who is a marine biologist knows what lives where at the pontoon area, she will take you to where nemo lives for example. Also lots of knowledgable talking during the snorkeling. My kids really enjoyed it. Thank you Tanya. No facility to change nappy but they kindly offer the corner area to do it. Facilities and lunch you may complain but excellent, kind, experienced staffs and their team work over come it. Me and baby stayed dry enjoyed semi submersible tour and under water obsevatory but 4 hours at reef was short for my kids. Middle of October, sunny day, unforgettable memory.

Fantastic experience: The hour and a half boat ride to Moore Island was rough so be sure to take sea sickness tablets. It's totally worth it - an unforgettable experience with knowledgeable and passionate staff. Don't miss the guided snorkel tour!

Fantastic experience: Excellent day trip with first rate crew onboard. Pretty sad that boat only 1/5 full due to covid but that meant plenty of room for everyone. The reef is like snorkeling in a fish tank. Unbelievable.

Fantastic experience: Excellent crew and very helpful coz half the cruise was throwing up while traveling to the Reef but the staff was very polite and helpful. The food was good with quite a few options. Hats off to Iris (dive instructor) who was the best snorkeling trainer and she is the reason for a 5 star rating. She helped me complete my first dive with great ease. Good cruise, great staff, good food and great experience.

Fantastic experience: What a brilliant day! We decided in the moore reef pontoon. The slide is a bit of fun. The crew were so friendly. My hubby is in a wheelchair and every crew member jumped at the chance to help us anyway they could. I felt like royalty. The food was good but the best part of our day was Afu taking us on snorkel safari. We got dragged around on a floaty to see the best parts of the reef saw a turtle and ao many different fish this really is a massive amount of awesome to take in. A gorgeous underwater world. Next time we gotta go scuba diving. Everyone on this crew is just so happy to share info about the reef and have a laugh and chat. If you are looking for an accessible fun day this is it! The crew was so accommodating. And being in the water is just unreal.

Fantastic experience: We had so much fun! Thank you sun lover cruise for the experience! Definitely worth remembering!!!! Staffs are very helpful and always there to answer your questions ! Food is great except yet i feel like its not enough to feed the whole guest! When it was our time to eat for lunch there is nothing left! Lol i guess everybody is hungry after all their water activities! Life guards are everywhere so you will feel safe to snorkel! Please help conserve the Great Barrier Reef! Some corals are dead. I don’t know if its because of the guest or what! Photos are of course very expensive! Huhu But its worth it!

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic time. Even in rough conditions, once you get to the pontoon it's actually quite calm and the visibility is excellent. A Special thanks to Pablo for taking the time to make the more inexperienced snoklers feel comfortable, relaxed and able to experience the unbelievable sights underwater.
