Fantastic experience: We travelled the Ghan from Adelaide to Darwin and then Coral Princess down to Perth. Holidays of Australia managed every step of our trip, which was incredible. Complete attention to detail and a very special shout out to Bruna. Outstanding service would thoroughly recommend, thus we have subsequently booked our next sojourn with Bruna at Holidays of Australia.

Negative experience: Low effort customer service. Difficult to even get a reply to emails. Do not recommend. I assume I wasn't spending enough money for them to make an effort.

Negative experience: I entered a competition with Million Dollar Fish and somehow this company got the email address and started spamming me.

As part of the competition, there was an opt in for the sponsors, which is why you are receiving these emails. For Holidays of Australia & the World, we send two emails per week with holiday options, and for NT Now, once per week. There is an unsubscribe button if you don't want to receive these emails. Negative experience: Having enjoyed a Ghan holiday with them in 2019, now we’re finally over the Covid palaver, three weeks ago I booked to go on the Indian Pacific in October but very sadly , have now had to cancel because of limited mobility issues. I was anticipating that I’d lose part of my deposit but not the whole lot! I wish I could earn over $2,000.00 in three weeks!’ They’ll easily be able to sell my reservation to someone else. Not happy Jan (Sam)
Hi Penny, we’re sorry to read your review and that you have to cancel your trip again. I can see that your consultant has made contact with you directly regarding your booking. As she has highlighted, the conditions provided at the time of booking do state that the reservation deposit is non-refundable. As the final balance is not due until June, perhaps you can hold off making a definite decision on your holiday plans until then. – The team at Holidays of Australia
Fantastic experience: I recently contacted this company and spoke to Bruna concerning a possible Cruise to the Mediterranean. Bruna could not do enough for me and a friend as she was very helpful with all the questions we had. I would recommend Bruna should anyone wishing to go on any Cruises. Thank you Bruna

Negative experience: Tour was excellent...BUT...Apalling PR !!! Waiting for the coach to arrive at Hilton Hotel Darwin we meet other passengers - 1 of whom is permanently disabled & in a wheelchair resulting from an accident many years previously. We are advised that the Company is aware of this situation as his situation had been made very clear to Holidays of Australia prior to booking. The coach arrives & the driver has NOT been briefed of this & his coach has NO PROVISION for this passenger to board. The driver stands aside with his arms folded as "it is not his problem". 2 passengers (one of whom is me) offer to assist. We struggle to lift the gentleman out of his wheelchair & carry him up the steps until he & his wife are safely in the front 2 seats. For the remainder of the day at every stop, this is repeated, with only the 2 of us capable of carrying the gentleman in & out of the coach. The driver would not assist in any way. At the end of Day 1, our Hostess discusses this problem with the Head Office & it is decided that the Company will assist by providing a hire-car for this couple to enable them to remain on the tour, however the wife must drive & follow the coach which she proceeds to do for the next 11 days from Darwin to Broome. At some stops this couple are unable to join the rest of us passengers due to lack of wheelchair access. In my opinion, the Company - 1. had no right accepting this booking, knowing the situation. 2. had an obligation to the rest of the passengers to ensure the wellbeing of ALL. 3. had an obligation to provide a coach which would cater for the disability especially as they were forewarned. 4. Owes ALL passengers some type of compensation for the inconvenience & the couple who were forced to travel separately from the others a full refund plus an apology.

Negative experience: Sydney to Perth - Indian Pacific rail Trip. We were forced to forfeit a travel deposit of $1200 in October 2021 (20% of the Ticket Price) for travel 22 December 2021 from Sydney to Perth on the Indian Pacific. REASON/ISSUES: 1. COVID-19 Lockdown NSW (October 2021) the legal standing was that WA would not permit entry of travellers from NSW into WA; 2. The train Operator - Journey Beyond Rail could not guarantee that it would be back in operation; 3. The travel agency - Holidays of Australia, was insisting on full payment of the balance of the tickets or cancellation of our booking and forfeiture of our deposit rather than to refund the $1200 deposit given the legal circumstances. 4. The travel agency further suggested that if we paid in full we would receive a Credit to travel within the next 12 months on the Indian Pacific. Unfortunately, travel next year does not suit us for health reasons & annual leave reasons. 5. The travel agent assures us that this is fair and in accordance with the travel terms and conditions of our booking - DOMESTIC TRAVELLERS BEWARE. It seems ironic that the Tourism Council of Western Australia will be holding a workshop 9/11/2021 of "Marketing to the Domestic Traveller" - the domestic travel Contracts will need to be reviewed.
Positive experience: I booked a trip through Holidays of Australia and received such great customer service. All of my questions and concerns were answered - no matter how many i had! They had a great selection of packages available too.

Fantastic experience: Had a most wonderful holiday in Palm Cove, Far North Queensland arranged for me by Holidays of Australia and the World. I had not ventured to this part of the world before but wow - all I can say is amazing and a great recommendation by my consultant Paul. Paul booked me into the most amazing accommodation which I understand is part of the Holidays of Australia Group call Villa Beach - Palm Cove. It was by far the best, most beautiful, cleanest and best appointed accommodation I have stayed in. Just amazing, absolute beachfront, huge balcony, sunsets, lapping waves and amazing peace, quiet and tranquility. Thank you Holidays of Australia - you always look after me and this was one of the best! 11 out of 10!

Fantastic experience: Great service, knowledgeable agents who looked after every detail and made our family holiday to New Zealand amazing. Stayed right on the harbour and walked across the road to join our cruise to Sydney. What a fantastic holiday for the whole family.
Fantastic experience: HoA provides a unique opportunity to experience different forms of transport within the package. On this occasion we used the Ghan, Queen Victoria & flew back to BNE on SQ. The accom provided has always been top line, no scrimping, such as Cordis in AKL & Goodwood Park in SIN. Very helpful telephone staff & if there is an issue, such as we had previously with AAT, we received an immediate refund , no questions asked. Have full confidence is using their services again
