Positive experience: I've enjoyed nothing less than flawless all-round service excellence from Flight Centre over the past 15 or so years with many last minute and often logistically complex overseas holiday bookings made in person across multiple stores in this time. My latest experience at the South Bank store has however caught me completely off guard with their commercial conduct slipping significantly in terms of quality control and professionalism from what I'm used to. Friendly and helpful as the staff themselves were, my latest holiday booking experience did however also include: - an airport transfer was booked for a completely different day to the flight (not very useful. I didn't provide explicit instructions as I thought this was obvious. This was later amended after I discovered it but at a still undisclosed extortionate cost, see below) - excessive delay in receiving a refund for a trip published as available but failed to be delivered (I had to call the supplier directly myself to escalate things to get this significant amount of money back) - additional funds were taken from my account without any prior disclosure or even any post transaction notification (money has been taken from me but I am still yet to receive a tax invoice or anything formal that detail these additional charges for what they are for, where they align with the T&Cs and their actual itemised values.) - a hotel booking was doubled up behind the scenes, quietly corrected, all unbeknown to me, but I was not provided with new valid voucher details. At check-in, the booking voucher I was provided with was identified by the hotel to be cancelled. The emergency assistance contact number on the Flight Centre branded hotel voucher itself doesn't actually ring to anyone, it seemed to be a dead number. All making for uncomfortable confusion and tension whilst in a foreign city at the end of a tiresome day. Individually, these matters aren't too significant but there were far too many instances for what ultimately was a short simple trip booking on this occasion. My long standing confidence and trust in Flight Centre has been eroded as to me, the breadth of these shortcomings suggests a systemic decline in quality control, ready to bite again by surprise at anytime. As such, it's difficult to isolate this experience as a one-off to just this particular store, individual travel consultant, or this booking. EDIT For clarity following the response below, I did not make any cancellations in any part. Also, due to the excessive delay in the refund for failed services, I had a giant credit balance sitting with Flight Centre. Some of these funds were approved to go towards an alternative trip, per the formal invoice process described. The additional funds were also taken from this credit balance and only discovered by complete surprise when I found a discrepency between the approved invoice (including remaining credit balance) and the eventual refunded amount. Indeed unusual but Indeed no process followed and still no invoice nor formal detail has been provided by Flight Centre to date for these additional charges. It would appear that credit balances are not secure at Flight Centre and exposed to open spend without due process. Again, quite a significant and concerning decline in systemic quality control from past experiences of excellence.

Fantastic experience: I left plans for a trip until the week before, then was struggling to find accommodation and hire car, having only a week's notice. When I called, Roy immediately took on the challenge and was SO friendly and helpful!! He found a needle in a haystack hotel close to where I'll be attending a wedding! He put SO much work into my last minute desperate call for help and has been so communicative and sent through multiple options and got the price down to what I was expecting, all the while being confident and friendly! I got lucky that he answered my call, because he's gone above and beyond to help me sort this trip out! I also mentioned a later trip that I was needing flights for over Christmas, and he found 2 great options with my specifications! I'll DEFINITELY be using Roy for any future travels because he took a huge load of stress off me and managed to find options that were a LOT better than I expected!! Thank you for your help Roy!!!

Fantastic experience: Roy at southbank flight centre has done a fabulous job of booking flights, a cruise , accomodation, train travel and transfers for our upcoming trip in September. We flybto london then starting in southampton boarding a cruise around England, Ireland and Scotland. Then off to london, Amsterdam and Praque via train. Negative experience: Spend an hour at the office in mid november with an agent discusing a trip Im gonna take. Agent was gonna mail me options. A week later I checked if she could send them through, she apologised and said will do so by the end of the day. Wrote to her twice more and never got a reply. Its been a month now. Its ok if I cant get service but no one can refund my time. Save yours and go somewhere else.

She took my initial call and gave me some simple ideas when I was very confused trying to book a Christmas holiday for a family with three children under 4! She put together some excellent flights, booked the entire thing and followed up a month of so later to see how we were going and ensure we had travel insurance and put together some excellent flights! 100% recommend!!

Negative experience: Terrible for free local parking. Suggest you have a budget & know exactly what you want to do. Chances are you can get it cheaper doing the bookings yourself by a considerable amount. Travel insurance & anything they can book & bill for will be heavily promoted.

Negative experience: Flight Centre has now outsourced. I am trying to book an international flight, after 4 phone calls with no human communication. I have given them the benefit of the the doubt after being hang up on, 4 times. After choosing another option, I spoke to someone and was put on hold for more than 2 minutes. Not good enough I'm going somewhere else

Fantastic experience: Myself and my partner needed to book our flights to Europe. Millie was an incredible help!!! We sent her the dates we wanted and she told us of the best flights/routes to take. She kept us informed along the way and told us the best ways to get cheaper flights - such as leaving on a Tuesday! She was an incredible help and we couldn’t have done it without her - now off to Europe next year!!!

Fantastic experience: I was here to cover riverfire for my workplace. The view from top is great and the riverfire view from here was amazing. I enjoyed my day here and uploading pics taken from balcony. If you can get access to balcony on 15th floor, you must do that, view is mesmerising

Positive experience: The support was excellent when I went to book my tickets and when I wanted a change. I was very happy with the service and Jack was extremely patient. However I am currently overseas and need to change my itinerary and I have tried to get in touch via international calling, emails and Facebook but I have not received a response. Quite disappointed by this mixed response.

Negative experience: Uhh never been in the building but they like to put sketchy things in the windows. Me and a bunch of people across the road have spent too many sleepless night at the hands of the sketchy mannequin on the 11th floor. Do not rate and would not recommend.

Negative experience: I have purchased flights to Canada with an operator via the phone, in SouthBank Brisbane. Booked flights but didn't get told everything what I was paying for. Cheated out by $5600.00 where I have asked for a receipt 3 weeks later still have not received this. I followed up a week after I booked tickets too see where my receipt was and was told their was another fee I could have paid if there was a cheaper price came up and flight centre would do reimbursement, but this did not happen with the operator. So after checking online the next day I could of saved at least $2000, but now I am out of pocket. I would absolutely not book or recommend anyone to go through to Flight centre as they charge huge fees and DO NOT provide good service.

Negative experience: I went to this office last week to sort out my sister's flight and the lady I saw wasn't willing to help. She gave me a number to call but it turned out that the number was for cruise ships. I went to North Lakes Flight Centre store the following day, and was able to get help. I would not recommend this Flight Centre office to anyone due to the lack of professionalism

Fantastic experience: Utterly amazing and fast service, needed an evening flight changed to a morning flight and I was in there for no longer than 5 minutes, hassle free for a lower than expected price, will definitely go back for future travel issues and holidays.

Negative experience: How can your consultants not have a conflict of interest when they work for 2 competing travel agencies? Skye Howie is listed as a travel consultant for The Adventure Traveller and she also works for you.... Flight Centre as I recently found out when I went to book a holiday to the US? I wonder which travelers are getting the best deal? Guess it depends on what employer is paying her the best commission...........
