Bournemouth Tourist Information Centre: Reviews
Fantastic experience: This is a lovely city along the coast, I can’t wait to come back
Fantastic experience: This little tourist information centre is a lot more than it seems from it's demure exterior. The shop has a good selection of souvenirs along with all the maps, travel brochures and time tables you may need. On our first day in Bournemouth, the staff were incredibly helpful in giving us advice on how to see the local attractions. Two days later, they were also available to help with a minor medical need. They really do go above and beyond to help create your perfect holiday.
Fantastic experience: Thanks for telling us about the Russell-Cotes art gallery, if we hadn't visited the tourist information we would have missed this wonderful experience. Thanks again
Positive experience: I don't use it as I'm a local.
Positive experience: informative and friendly service. guide books and leavelets such seasonal festive events, beach hut rentals, cruises (gurney island), green trails, day tours, local souvenirs and counties' maps etc. just wonder if they will be able to provide info to non-english speakers tourists such Japanese, Russian or others.

Fantastic experience: The shop and centre is amazing and sells a great range of products and also May I say the the lady who worked both on Saturday and Sunday just gone on 15th and 16th April the lady who had long black hair I believe I just want to say she was really so polite and friendly and I wish more people was like her. I’ll be looking forward to having a laugh with her and seeing her again soon within the next few months. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the lady’s name who I mentioned above sorry! Thank you Jordan Harris
Fantastic experience: Really pleasant staff in there, and a lovely range of souvenirs of Bournemouth. Brought a lovely little bear from there which wasn't expensive at all.
Fantastic experience: Went in on my visit to Bournemouth, the staff incredibly helpful and efficient, despite it being being very busy we were seen in a short period of time and the staff were able to recommend many things to do and organised our bookings, highly recommend going here if your unsure or need help on your visit to Bournemouth
Negative experience: Great place to visit but the public toilets are horrible dirty, long queues, no bins, dirty beach...it's such a shame because the place is amazing
Fantastic experience: Good and helpful
Fantastic experience: Asked a very particular question, "where does the river go after the gardens" and they were very friendly and informative with the answer.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely lovely girl .Melissa. (on the till receipt) went above board, to help. She was a joy . Can't thank her enough. Solved all enquiries. thank you. Diane Hawkes.
Fantastic experience: Great Customer Care! I arrived yesterday on an early flight from Liverpool to visit my son. He was unable to collect me from the airport due to work commitments, so I grabbed a taxi to the Pier area. I was too early to check into my hotel so headed for the Tourist Information Office. Too early for them too it was pouring with rain and my phone had died One of the staff, Melissa took pity on me and pointed me in the direction of the nearest cafe and even provided me with a street map so I could get my bearings. I dried out and fortified with strong tea went back when they opened at 10.00 and she was very cheerful and helpful. First impressions count. Bournemouth - you have a gem !
Fantastic experience: Neat gift shop
Fantastic experience: Great place to visit to get ideas. Staff were great and very helpful. Close to beach and other attractions too which is a bonus.
Negative experience: Really rude middle-aged woman behind the desk at the tourist information who was incredibly snobby. Whilst I was in the centre, there was another woman who asked a simple question regarding getting to the railway station - this lady tutted in such a condescending manner. This was totally unnecessary and so out of order as this lady is supposed to be working with the public. Such a shame given the fact that I have never visited Bournemouth before and this has put me off the place.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful views
Fantastic experience: What a brilliant little place to get all your information including a very useful map. Have some lovely bits and pieces to buy aswell.
Negative experience: Avoid a day trip if you are disabled as you will get a parking ticket in their car parks even when displaying a blue badge correctly and even when you are tax exempt unless you want to register at a cost of £25
Positive experience: Good place for picking up a fistful of leaflets about local attractions. Knowledgeable staff to answer your questions. And a good range of quality cards and souvenirs - a long way upmarket from the tat you see in the beach shops.
Fantastic experience: Friendly people and good advice.
Fantastic experience: Excellent place for local information and easy guides to get around
Fantastic experience: Helpful and well placed
Fantastic experience: Lovely
Positive experience: Good place to find out about what's happening in Bournemouth. And buses times and where to visit while you are staying in Bournemouth to.
Fantastic experience: nice place to visit got all info which we need
Fantastic experience: Accueil chaleureux il te donne les cartes que tu as besoin l'été c'est très bon bondée du monde dernière semaine du mois d'août c'est le Festival de l'Aviation.
Positive experience: isn't this the stable now?
Positive experience: Good information, standard info centre.
Negative experience: If you coming to Bornemouth with motorhome dont bother. They go out of there way to stop motorhomes parking in or around Bornemouth even the traffic warden are embarrassed. They just dont want you to park anywhere, plenty or spaces for cars but you cannot park anywhere all carparks have barriers.
Positive experience: Good information in a strategic location
Fantastic experience: The new information centre is very central, next to the pier. The attendants are welcome.
Fantastic experience: Very nice place with very fine sands
Negative experience: They don't know a lot.
