Negative experience: Yes, they are pet friendly. At $30 a night I will not be back. I know, leave the dog at the kennel. She is just a puppy. Make sure you get to breakfast early, or you may go hungry.

Negative experience: If I could give this company a negative I would. Their policies are terrible and the representatives are awful except for Angelica whom was the only one who actually tried to help me. I appreciate all of Angelicas help even though she couldn't assist me due to such a poor system they have in place. Negative experience: When I made the reservation they told me they take pets. When I showed up at the hotel they told me they do not take pets. They turned me away. Negative experience: I would say you did good bc two representatives assured me I would get a FULL refund within 2-10 business days. I was double booked there and charged on my personal card NOT the conference rate. Here we are right before Christmas and I still do not have the full refund as indicated. The last rep I spoke to said they had even spoken to a manager. I certainly hope you all DID in fact record the calls. Sorry I could not post without giving at least one star. Negative experience: I had no idea this was a third party booking site. We are traveling for a sudden death in our family and finding out that I can’t cancel was a real hit. Negative experience: This company scammed me on two fronts, first they had a misleading advertisement where they framed their google search results as if they were the specific hotel I searched for. I booked online thinking I was booking directly with the hotel (reservation # H9930440). I immediately noticed that I had booked the day before (12/10) I intended to travel, I looked for a simple way to rectify the reservation - there was no way online and their confirmation email never displayed their company name. I eventually found a phone number to call and discovered it was hotelplanner.com (possibly affiliated with Expedia.com). The agent on the phone claimed that they could not move my reservation to the next day because there was no availability for 12/11. When I indicated that the hotel's website showed availability, they had no response. They offered to cancel which I did, but when I asked for a refund, I was told that it would be up to the Courtyard Marriott (Vallejo) to authorize a refund. I later received an email from Hotelplanner stating that the Courtyard had refused to authorize a refund. I called the Courtyard directly and spoke with Mark, the GM and he indicated that the hotel never authorized a refund nor was this in their pervue to do so. I circled back with Hotelplanner.com and relayed this information only to receive the same "form" email from their customer service denying my refund. This company presented itself as unprofessional, lacking customer service, and borderline fraudulent. Their online phone number is [email protected] +1-800-497-2175. Stay away.

Negative experience: Deceptive advertising! I intentionally selected a hotel with "free cancellation" advertised. Only once the reservation was done, did I get an email notifying me that it cost nearly $14 for "free cancellation." Then later I discovered that only true emergencies were eligible for this free cancellation, so you'd need to submit weather report or doctor record to prove a need to refund. Change of plans? Tough luck.

Negative experience: dont ever use them. They charge you a month ahead of your reservations and then say they are part of the hotel and the are just a third party. Call the hotel direct your better off these guys charge almost twice the price and you have to fight with numerouse calls to get your credit. Negative experience: Not a good conversation. The man had a thick accent and was difficult to understand. He kept talking and not listening. He said parking was complementary but then said there’s a fee for long term parking but would not tell me the rate. Said there’s a shuttle to the airport for $25 then said the shuttle was free. Negative experience: SCAM ALERT!!!!! WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK A HOTEL!!! My husband thought he was booking with Dutch Inn & Suites in Orange City, Iowa after googling the name of the hotel. He thought he was speaking to someone at the hotel itself. He ended up booking the wrong dates and called an hour later to remove one night, only to find out that we would be charged a cancellation fee which was almost the same amount as the room for the night. We made several calls, with the same response. In addition, there was a refund protection plan for around $38 that only covered "if you get sick with Covid 19, someone dies, or you have an accident" but you'd be charged anyway and have to send in proof of any of the above, then they'd make the determination your possible refund. The hotel manager denied being affiliated with HotelPlanner, and said they are with Expedia, but he will not provide us with a receipt for the room proving this. NOTE: The hotel was very clean, no problems with that, but if you are wanting to stay here call their direct number.

Negative experience: I tried booking through Hilton's website and was not told it would be a third party booking me. They charged over $200 in taxes and "fees" only for two nights. The hotel itself was only around $200 for both nights, so I was charged double. I don't know how "Hotel Planner" got my booking if it was supposed to be directly through Hilton. Negative experience: My issue is with the reservation desk that I called to make my reservation. The lady I spoke with told me there were no rooms with 2 doubles available for the day of need. She then told me that there was 1 room left with a king and a double for $481 for the 2 nights i needed but nothing else was available. My mother passed away and my family was traveling to Greenville with no other options so I had to book it. Come to find out the hotel had all sorts of doubles available at less than $150 a night! Negative experience: I am very disappointed with the way my reservation was handled. I was not offered the reservation protection insurance when I first booked my reservation. After repeated phone calls to try in attempt to have the insurance added to my reservation, I was told the reservation could not be changed and the insurance could not be given to me. She spoke to the manager and even showed a bug she found and the manager was very helpful but their hands were tied; she told us to contact the company I booked through. Negative experience: My experiences with this hotel so far have not been good. Booking as a wedding guest I was over charged by two hundred dollars. Then having to wait for them to look into the booking - I was only refunded $120 and had to call again. Which means another waiting period while they look into it again. I asked for a supervisor or manager and they could not give me one. The wait while we look into it but keep checking your emails is awful. But Anne and Andre have tried to help.

Negative experience: Lied about property amenities, claiming they weren’t going to charge my card, just validating it(dollar ping) then lied about refunding our money when we didn’t stay there, and the hotel staff confirmed our refund be given back. Negative experience: I was told there was a room available at Woodsprings Suites in Plano Tx. on Avenue K for a total of $104. I drive to hotel and they have a sign out front rooms from $59. But the main problem there was the person working in the office said she had no available rooms. She had got the request from your company but there was no room. I call the number back and was told the only room available in the vicinity was a $200.* room. I did not want to pay that much. I found a room at the original hotel I requested before the Woodsprings ordeal. The man from your company said he was working on getting my $104. Credited back on my account but it would take 2 to 10 days. They sent me to a hotel with no available rooms give me a confirmation number and still no room. But I must wait 2 to 10 days.

Negative experience: Never book any hotel through this company. I called to book a reservation and was misled to believe I was speaking with the actual hotel. I asked about the wedding reservation block and was told it was being applied to my reservation. I then found out that I was not given the blocked room rate and was over charged by more than $800. The total charge, $2,310 was immediately put through my credit card. I called 3 hours later to cancel and was told that a ticket was being submitted for my refund. I then was told via a text message that the refund would be for $200 less than the initial amount and refunded via a voucher for travel. I have since been on countless phone calls for a refund to my credit card. This is a terrible customer experience and 5 days after the purchase I have yet to speak to a manager or have this issue handled in an acceptable manner. Do not book through this company!

Negative experience: H9810273 I thought I was reserving a room through the actual Courtyard Marriott site. Instead it was through this 3rd party-hotelplanner.com. I did not know it was prepaid, that it was non cancellation/nonrefundable, and I did not agree to a refund protection policy until AFTER the transaction went through and I received an email. For 2 nights it was $618.75. (I have now reserved with the actual Courtyard Marriott and it will be $387.00 they got me for almost $300 extra.) It’s Christmas time and my reservation isn’t until July, so I needed to cancel and just reserve. When I realized it wasn’t Courtyard, I felt that this was a scam. I later also realized this company inflated the price and added a lot of fees. I called to cancel and spoke with someone that I could barely understand. He said he would send the request to cancel and refund. I have replied to an email from a Katrina V. stating that my bank is investigating this as well as Master Card and that if I do not receive verification immediately that my full refund has been issued and I do not receive it in 3 days, my attorney will be seeking legal action. All of the reviews on this page which sound exactly like my experience will be all the evidence needed. Do not ever use this company. I will also be filing a complaint with BBB.

Fantastic experience: Lee Ann was absolutely amazing!! She took one of the most stressful days I had been having, and completely helped me change it around. My parents are visiting a very small town in SC, and my dad is a double-amputee in a wheelchair. They needed a hotel for the week, but as I called around everyone gave me the same answer - they only had one handicap accessible room, and it was either already occupied or a smoking room. I was devastated. I had spent almost two hours on the phone calling around with no luck, and they were already almost there. Then, I called one last reservation line, and God placed this angel on the phone. She was so helpful with everything. She looked into so many places, and tried her best to find something that worked. It took an hour, but she was actually able to find exactly what we needed, in our price point, and she ensured it was handicap accessible. I booked it right away, said my many thanks, and then laid on the floor to recuperate. Without Lee Ann my parents would have been forced into dire straits. I have to give her her flowers, because she worked triple time for me and my family, and in this day and age it's so rare. She is really a jewel, a diamond in the rough, and she deserves all accolades for her patience and kindness. I simply can't say enough about how she helped me. I'm forever grateful.

Felt pressured and manipulated to make the booking on the phone call when I was asking about a lower price I was seeing quoted on the website and was told that those prices were no longer available. Negative experience: Total scam. I thought I was dealing Directly with hotel. I asked if I was and the Hotel Planner representative said I was. I wanted a room for 1 night on December 9th leaving on December 10th with extended parking to December 19th. The representative acknowledged my request worked up a price and sent me a quote just for the hotel which is higher than I could get with dealing directly with hotel. In confirmation there was no mention of extended parking. When I asked about a further confirmation about extended parking the Rep said she would send it and then hung up. My charge cartd has already been charged which would not happen if I was dealing directly with hotel. I am going to try and cancel but there will be a charge for cancellation. Who are you? What is Hotel Planner? How do you come off saying you are the hotel when you are not and the hotel does not even know you are booking on their behalf. The Hotel Planner rep should be fired.

I was even charged an inflated rate that the hotel was like that is an inflated rate charge. I paid extra for protection to cancel my reservation. Positive experience: Do not use. Total ripoff. Tried to book rooms via phone and final price for two stays was twice what was advertised. Told them to cancel both reservations. They then informed us that there is a one night cancellation fee. They still didn’t cancel the reservations. I had to call back. The cancellation fees were far in excess of one night’s rate. We were out over 500 dollars. In their defense they did give us a full refund after I complained, but I shouldn’t have had this hassle in the first place.

Negative experience: It was a night mare. The communication completely failed on the first interaction and we end up cancelling the wrong reservation so I had to rebook it through the hotel directly. I was told if I bought insurance I could cancel up to the day of the stay, which i did because my mother is frail and was not certain she could travel. Positive experience: I made a reservation yesterday for next Saturday for a 1 night stay. I asked for the preferred rate for our Convention which we have every year. The clerk did not know anything about it. I called the front desk just now and was able to get the preferred rate and made a reservation. Fantastic experience: Very accommodating due to the fact someone breached contract of smoking in a non smoking room and my HUGE emphasis was please have a non smoker employee please check out a room I am assigned to to ASSURE. LNOSmoke smell/odor. Great staff…. But he put me in a room that was SUPPOSED to be non smoking but someone smoke in a non smoking room…heavy smoker smell. So THIS time I emphasized the huge request of a room without a smoker smell/odor. Very accommodating and understanding feller who I called on the google search info phone number. Less than 100$ . I just need a place near UAMS to rest my head after a 3-4 hour drive. The Mexican restaurant within walking distance (literally in almost the same parking area as hotel!!!) is a REALLY good Mexican restaurant!!! Pinhole this helps ! Mark

Negative experience: When I booked a room with them, they told me it would be 204 per night with my AAA discount. When the transaction came across my credit card alert, it was for $712. I called immediately to cancel It was only then they told me that it was non-refundable They only canceled the reservation and not the transaction it kept the entire amount for themselves. I ended up playing twice for my hotel room, over $1,100. If you book with them, make sure they tell you final cost and their exorbitant fees.

Negative experience: I will never use this again. This turned out to be a $70, for a 15 minute phone call. I thought I was going to be able to arrive in Branson on December 20th, but then found out I would not be able to take off from work on that day. I called needing to cancel my reservation approximately 2 weeks after scheduling it. Mind you, this is still over a month and a half away from the reservation date. It's not like I called at the last minute to cancel and they wouldn't be able to rebook the room. So anyway, they charged me 30% of the cost of the room. What a scam. Negative experience: Thought I was booking through the hotel. Totally misrepresented themselves. I luckily purchased a cancelation protection plan. I was charged $826 for my 5 night stay. I got ahold of the hotel itself and was quoted a price of $354! Canceled the reservation. It took me 14 phone calls, 4 1/2 months and threatening to turn it over to and attorney before they finally credited my credit card the money back. What a bunch of scam artists!! Buyer Beware!!!

Positive experience: Manuel was very nice. & helpful. However. He said we were getting 2 of the last 3 rooms & it was 4 stars. This place is empty.& a dump. The rooms are tiny & beat up. I’m very unhappy with the accommodations!

Negative experience: Do not use this company to book hotel. Terrible customer service. We booked a room with them that they told us was pet friendly and we found out upon check in that the hotel was not pet friendly. Unfortunately all other hotels in the area were completely booked. Just save the frustration and do not deal with this company.

Negative experience: Made reservation for 2 day stay. Tried to change to 1 day stay. Told I had to cancel 2 day and rebook 1 day. THEN only refunded my debt card for 1 day stay. I cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival. I am furious!! I guess I have to fight for my full refund.

Negative experience: Horrible pathetic experience. Made hotel reservations for a month from now and the representative never mentioned that we would be PREPAYING for our wedding party. Our bank sent a fraud alert right after making the reservations. Now the amount for our reservation is going out of our bank account! We called to have the contract changed to have it paid at checkin and they declined that option and if we were to cancel the reservations they WOULD NOT refund any of our money!! This was just a few hours of making the reservations and waiting for them to call us back after a “ticket” was put in. Never again will we book anything with hotels using Hotelguides.com.

Negative experience: This is a scam company. They pretend to represent 'all hotels', the same way a real OTA like Expedia would. They 'sell' reservations that don't exist, pretend they are at the physical location of the hotel, and pretend they work for the hotel - They DO NOT. They have no affiliation with any hotel, they have no accounts with any hotel. They will ask for your credit card info and personal details including name and address in order to steal and then sell your identity. Hotels have absolutley NO knowledge of the reservations they 'sell', as they will take your info and make a reservation on their own using the hotel's website or by calling the hotel directly, pretending to be YOU. They make money by booking these reservations on your behalf pretending to be you, and then pocketing whatever fees they have collected from you which are typically 50-100% higher than the actual booking cost. They also pocket any cancellation fees, date changes, etc when you call them to change the reservation. I have had an influx of guests looking to book at my hotel, who have called this number first and gotten scared by the lack of transparency and information they can provide about any given location. Be careful when booking online or over the phone, and ALWAYS ask if you are speaking with someone at the hotel, get their name, compare the phone number to the hotel's phone number on google, then get them to confirm it by sending you an email from the hotel's direct email, or by calling from the hotel's phone number. They target smaller hotels because it is easier to fake being from a small unkown location than a chain. When I contacted them and asked to speak with someone in charge, they just transferred me to an automated line that asks if I want to make a reservation. They are scammers. When in doubt, NEVER give your credit card info and personal details over the phone. Most hotels will not ask for your address when booking. Call hotels directly, or book through their real website, or use a trusted OTA like Expedia, booking.com, etc.
