Negative experience: Worst travel agency to choose while booking they will talk in very polite. After booking the reality will come into picture like they will ask upfront money to cancel the tickets and shows night mare to refund the ticket money.

Negative experience: I recently visited the Alanita office to book a flight and had a disappointing experience. The travel agent, Venkat, was disrespectful and appeared disinterested in providing assistance. Given the poor service, I don't see any advantage in visiting their office for booking. I would advise others against it.

Fantastic experience: I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the Alanita Travel team. Let me share my ticket booking experience. I booked tickets with Alanita Travel for myself and my wife for a trip to India. Before we were set to leave, my wife had a sudden health issue and required emergency surgery, which meant we had to cancel our trip. Initially, the airline rejected our waiver application, but the Alanita Travel team consistently followed up and advocated for us. Thanks to their persistent efforts, the airline eventually approved the waiver, and I received a 100% refund. Thank you, Alanita Travel Team

Negative experience: Agent name called Sunder is very disrespectful and asked me to talk to customer care over phone. If I ask any questions then he simply turns his head away and gives no answer. They changed payment to zelle or cash only which makes the payment difficult. Not everyone uses zelle or holds cash. Totally spent 2 hrs for getting the job done. Not worth to come here to save few bucks.

Negative experience: I dont even like to give a star...but no other option allowed in Google. All travel agencies are allowing 24 hrs free cancellation but this is special and saying refund is only 25% of the price paid. Be careful in booking via this...

Negative experience: They constantly bait and switch. I have called them back within 5 minutes of getting the quote to pay and they increased the price by around $100 from the quoted price. They do this every time doesn't matter if it's couple hours or 5 minutes, for me I think this is third time I can remember, enough is enough. I am going to complain to transportation.gov (Buying a ticket), CFPB and credit card company this time. Update 10/09/2024: Eric from Alanita called and was asking to delete the review but agreed to investigate first.

Negative experience: I recently visited the Alanita office to book a flight ticket, and my experience was quite disappointing. The travel agent named Manasa i encountered was disrespectful and seemed disinterested in helping out. Given this poor service, I don't see any benefit in visiting their office to book a flight. I would recommend others exploring other options for booking your travel needs.

Negative experience: Always compare with other websites before booking with Alanita .Changing travel dates will be difficult with Alanita and they quote high price compare to airline website when need to change the travel dates.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Mirza for my travel need. He is great guy to work with. He understood my reservation need, explained all possible travel options & provided me best rate. Overall experience with him was great & definitely recommend.

Negative experience: I would say, you see them on a physical store or online, don't walk, run away. Going through a travel agent should make your life easier, not otherwise. I don't blame the agents on phone they are courteous, do best of their ability but they just follow orders. I cant believe they still have some grand fathered methodology if you request a change or cancellation (and they take only Zelle, no credit card for those changes, charges). Big long form, links, email confirmation blah blah to process the change fees in zelle. I was like we are in 2024 and so many better place available to make your travel easier, comfortable. I had a cancellation, they send me form, wanted me to fill it, pay in zelle just to be sure they are collecting and committing you legally and paying, but they had the audacity to say, they wont confirm the cancellation even though I went through the process, in an email. Different set of rule to commit, bind, for customers vs them?? They seriously have trust issues with customers, they made me to send screen shot from my credit card for the payment and after that (this was was too much for me, never had to do with any booking ever) agent from India made a conference call with my bank and had bank, us agree in the call that the charge was good to process and I could buy the ticket. I would never use them again. Spend extra 50-100$ somewhere if it is costlier than them, get the peace of mind during, prior to travel.

Negative experience: Horrible and the worst experience on customer service. They are not responding properly. Please dont go through the QATAR and INDIGO, they have not told about the INDIGO service. INDIGO flight service is worst. Also tried to ask customer agent to book on QATAR while coming back . But they are asking for extra amount for the same(we have already spent huge amount for tickets) while booking itself they suppose tell about the INDIGO service..But they didnt..Guys Beware !!!

Negative experience: I had to travel from toronto to richmond virginia, after a long discussion of 1.5hr with agent when everything is finalized I was informed that they do accept only usa debit or credit card. I told them I hold international credit card from Canada which I used in USA without issue but the agent and manager too did not accept to take details of my credit card from Canada.

Fantastic experience: I am very lucky to have availed the services of an experienced travel agent like Mr. Sundar. Both the times we went to him, it was an urgent situation where we wanted a specific combination of flights and he took care of our necessity with very good planning and foresight. We are extremely thankful to him for guiding us and advising us on our travel itinerary which involved traveling with my Aged mother who wasn’t keeping very well. Everything went as planned and we had a very smooth journey. I will highly recommend Alanita travel agent at Frisco- Mr. Sundar for any of your travel needs, whether for pleasure or work. Negative experience: Horrible service and the worst experience ever to book a ticket through Alanita!!!! Book through them as if you want to book an insurance policy. They make you do so much paper work and emails that it frustrating to the core. There is no service as we expect from a travel agent. There are many better options than this one. I booked a ticket from them for me and my so. and had the most hard time to book and to cancel. They did not even check the expiry date on the passport even though they ask for PDF copies of your documents. Be careful guys. I don’t trust to share Amy documents with them .

Negative experience: If you dial your local Alanita travel office, your call will connect to the HELPLINE. Even Helpline doesn’t know the local office working hours. Every location should put their own phone numbers on google map.

Positive experience: Vamshi was my agent who helped book the tickets for my family. He was very patient and took the time to clearly understand my reservation needs. He checked all possible option combination to get the best price and most convenient travel option. He gave good recommendation and overall experience of interaction was great. I strongly recommend Alanita Travel and Vamshi.

Fantastic experience: Vineeth's customer service was exceptional. I had interacted with multiple representatives but Vineeth stood out as he not only accommodated my date requirements but found a cheaper fare along with detailed step by step assistance without giving any false information.

Negative experience: Our family used Alanita travels in the past 2 years to book international flight tickets about a couple of times and also domestic travel in the USA once without any issues with last time we used about a year ago. But, this time we tried to book international flight tickets and I had the WORST experience. First they asked me to scan the front and back of the credit card and also front and back of my drivers license and send it to them which is very risky (which I never had to do anywhere else) in case their database gets hacked. I still did it and they charged my card for the tickets and it went through after multiple confirmation emails from me and also confirming some bank transactions they made as a test before they charged the rest of the amount. Then after the card went through for the whole amount still they were calling me almost 5-6 times daily, day and night pestering with phone calls during my working hours and also in the middle of the night saying that the credit card I used did not have a phone number associated with it to verify. I updated my phone number with the credit card company and every time a different representative from Alanita Travels calls me and speaks to me and I update them that the phone number has been updated and still they keep calling and those representatives don’t talk among themselves and they kept pestering me for almost a week and finally I told them to cancel the reservation and when I booked directly with the airlines it came out almost the same price they were offering me. It was not worth going through all that PAIN. I felt it is very RISKY to go through Alanita travels since you will end up revealing your entire credit card and drivers licence information and it will put you at risk of identity theft and also they might never be able to verify your credit card and end up cancelling your ticket and you may end up loosing time before all of this is done and the ticket prices may go up when you book it yourself. These might have been recent changes in their policies since I did not have to jump through this many hoops the last time I booked tickets with them. PLEASE DOBYOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO THROUGH ALANITA TRAVELS EVER TO BOOK YIUR FLIGHT TICKETS. Search yourself through Orbitz or Expedia and you will end up getting better prices for much less hassle. I usually never leave reviews let alone negative reviews. But for the pain I went through with them this time I had to give a very lengthy negative review. I could give no stars but that was not an option.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly agents. They have always been patient and helpful. I have used them many times as it is so convenient. The payment for the tickets is a bit of a process, but it is for our good.

Positive experience: Over the last 15 years, I have booked many international flights and trips through Alanita Travel. If you have a pretty straightforward itinerary and don't intend to make changes, then you will most likely get the best price through them. The only drawback is that sometimes their callbacks take a long time. In the event you want to 'cancel' a booking within a few hours, they will charge ~$30 ticketing service fee per passenger that you cancel as long as it is within a few hours of the payment and booking. Why would you want to do this? Because you got a cheaper ticket somewhere else. Divya did a lovely job helping me purchase my tickets and accommodating my needs. Why am I removing one star? It's because of their overly complex and unreliable payment process. It has gotten shadier over time but for whatever reason, it works you're willing to jump through their hoops.

Fantastic experience: Emmanuel was really helpful in finding the right flight for me and kids with the most reasonable price. He gave plenty of options and patiently looked up all the details as my trip included different travel dates and requirements for each passenger. He answered all the queries I had and suggested many better options and combinations, digging into all the details. I'm happy and would definitly recommend Emmanuel & Alanita for a satisfying booking experience. Eugene

Negative experience: A. Dec 21 - Booked Emirates tickets for 4 passengers - total paid $ 5515.84 . Jan 19 - canceled 2 tickets . Feb 2 canceled the remaining two tickets due to a death in the family . Paid $350*4 by Zelle = $1400 as cancellation charges . Feb 15 - Received refund from Emirates ; 1125.96*3 + 937.96 = $4315.84 which is $ 1200 less though it was a fully refundable ticket. Alanita agreed to pay the balance of $1200 . Alanita paid only $600 by check number 024349 dated Mar 6 . After reaching out multiple times , Alanita did not even accept that they have to pay another $600 . After posting this review and threatening them with official complaint , they accepted that they have to pay and eventually after much delay ( almost 2 weeks )communicated the check was mailed today . Does this sound like a very honest operation ? To me it is not . B. I was in India due to the sudden death of my Dad . My return flight was canceled by the airline due to a strike in Germany . Due to the state I was in , I took the wrong decision of booking an alternative flight on Mar 5 9:30 pm India time paying $5995 for 4 passengers. The original airline got me an alternative flight at 3 am IST and by 6:30 am IST , I canceled my tickets and was charged $35*4 = $140 as cancelation charges for Alanita and $ 960 as cancelation penalty for the airlines. C. The airlines directed me to the travel agent for cancelation , Alanita demanded $1100 as cancelation charges , I had no other option but to pay not to lose $5995 by not canceling the ticket. Since there is a rule by US Department of Transportation , that there is no cancelation fees if canceled within 24 hours of booking , I have asked for a refund of $960 which was charged as cancelation penalty for the airlines . This is against the law and I believe Alanita took advantage of my situation .

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. I paid for my tickets right away after they gave me price and they said you will going to receive my tickets within 1 hour. But I receive my tickets after 24 hours and they charged me extra $80 just because they didn’t process at that time. The fare went higher so because of their fault and they are not listening to me what I am saying. Agent SUNDAR said the flight was booked full that’s why he didn’t able to book my tickets then how should it be possible to give me the exact same flight after I paid extra money. Waste of time and money with alanita travels. I had to go in the middle of my job to get my tickets because it was 24 hours and I didn’t got a tickets. They are liar and cheaters. I would give negative for customer service. Very bad experience at Frisco Texas location agent sundar was so rude. Please don’t take a chance with this fraud travel agent company.

Negative experience: They advertise very low prices but when you book they don’t give you that low price and there is always a catch. They don’t necessarily give you the disclaimers and lock you to the non refundable ticket. Vey bad experience when you have change of plans. Better to book though airlines to get a better service and response.

Positive experience: Called their Customer Service number for international travel. They took my contact details and one of their Travel Agent Vicky called me in about 10 minutes. After sharing my travel details, he found me a ticket in one of my favorite airlines at a decent price. Sent the itinerary via email with links to make the payment and confirm the booking. Took less than 30 minutes for the whole process. Would recommend them.
