We are a shuttle service with routes running from Las Vegas to as far North as Great Falls, Montana. We have been operating for over 20 years and our fleet covers 12,000 miles each day. Negative experience: So far, my daughter's bus was late, then at the airport in SLC there was no bus to transfer onto. Everyone is standing around, including the driver. Not impressed so far.

Fantastic experience: I took the shuttle today 12/9 from Layton to Cedar. The drivers were very nice, the bus was clean and comfortable. There was a charging port which came in handy. The best this about the trip was there was a stop to switch buses & drivers for the south bound passengers. The bus that was coming North to meet us was delayed due to an accident. So the South bound bus took us Nephi instead of Spanish Fork, which was further South. They did this to make up the time that would be lost due to the delay of the North coming bus. We arrived in Cedar only about 3 minutes late. Way to go SLS.

Negative experience: My husband and I took the Salt Lake Express to and from the Las Vegas airport last week. The trip to Las Vegas went fine but the return trip didn't. Our shuttle was scheduled to leave Las Vegas at 12:30 am. We got off our flight and made our way to the pick up location half an hour early. We called the Salt Lake Express office to verify that we were at the correct location. We were, but we're then informed that the shuttle would be half an hour to 45 minutes late getting to the airport. We waited and the shuttle finally arrived at 1:20. The current passengers got off the bus and retrieved their luggage. After that the driver turned to those waiting to board and told them to get their luggage quickly to the bus because he was running late. There was no apology for being nearly an hour late, no thank you for your patience or explanation of why he was late. We got on the bus and departed at 1:30 am. The bus was noisy....the engine whined every time the driver accelerated. When we hit bumps, the windows rattled and shook. The temperature fluctuated up and down and we were either comfortable or cold. There's no way for us to know if he was speeding but he was definitely honking the horn and moving fast. If this kind of delay had happened on the first leg of our trip, we would have missed our flight . We will definitely not be chosing this company for any future travel needs .

Negative experience: DO NOT take Salt Lake Express! The shuttle NEVER showed up at the pickup location, and they didn’t even bother offering me a solution. I had to spend over $100 on a cab to get to my destination in time for my next bus. If I hadn’t taken the cab, I would have missed the next bus and, consequently, a flight. This service is COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE.

Negative experience: The Salt Lake Express is very unreliable and will not get you to your destination on time! I was on a bus this Saturday going from St. George toward SLC. The bus driver clearly knew that there were issues with the bus because he was driving very slowly and he took 10 minutes at our stop in Parowan to let the bus restart. We switched drivers in Fillmore and the first driver clearly did not fill our new driver in. He had to pull over on the side of the highway and eventually was able to get us to Scipio before informing us that the bus was unable to make the rest of the trip. I guess the check engine light was on and the bus wasn’t able to go over 55 mph. It took 3 hours for them to send a replacement bus! I was supposed to get to Provo at 8:50 and ending up getting there at midnight. I called their customer service yesterday and they said the best they could do was give me a $30 credit to use in the future. I frequent this route often but I will never use this company again. Their customer service is embarrassingly terrible and the company as a whole is awful at communication. Do not ride the Salt Lake Express!

Negative experience: The bus was very nice and comfortable however when I got to Vegas the instructions on how to get to pickup was very unclear. I called the company to get directions to pickup and they were not very helpful in finding it. He also informed me the drive would be about 5-10 min late due to construction. Well he was actually 45 min late. And there was no construction along the way either (other than the construction at apex point which was not causing any delays). I also pre-paid a tip for the driver. He did not assist with any of my bags. When I got to Sgu he didn’t even open the bag bays. He just stayed in his seat. So I had to crawl under the bus in a suit to get to my bags. I’d rather spend the extra money and take the St. George shuttle next time. The customer service is a lot better.

Negative experience: I had purchased a round trip ticket from Salt Lake City to St George. From SLC to St George the bus was about 40 ish minutes late to arriving to its destination but the worst part of it all is that the trip from St George to SLC the bus had broken down essentially leaving us stranded in the middle of nowhere until our rescue van could come pick us up and I don't remember how long that took because it took forever.

Negative experience: For years I have given the salt lake express the benefit of the doubt but I will never take another shuttle ride again. I have rode the shuttle to various locations and have never once been within an hour of the estimated time of arrival. Today I rode the shuttle from St. George to orem Utah. A 4 1/2 hour ride according to their website. As I’m writing this review we are currently 2 hours behind schedule and I still have 1 1/2 hours left of the ride. Absolutely ridiculous. We stopped at a gas station for 45 minutes waiting for the next driver to show to.

Negative experience: I had 6:15 door to door pick up to the airport for my father funeral. Being an injured vet in a wheelchair myself this ADA vehicle seemed perfect, until my first call when 2 minutes late with mg luggage in the driveway. They have to contact the dispatcher first which took 15 minutes, he then contact the driver who require 30 more minutes to pick up the vehicle. Because of our 6:15 pick up would be delayed until 7:30’s we felt forced to cancel our flight rather than miss it getting stuck at airport. Due the preceding holiday wknd I verified my pick up the previous fri. Nice friendly staff...yet I missed my Fathers funeral.

Negative experience: *** Nightmare experience *** I bought a ticket for my 17-year-old to ride from Logan to the Salt Lake City airport where he could fly home to CO after a visit with family in UT. He went to the stop 10 minutes early. I told him, “It’s at the university Inn and he said “oh yeah I’ve seen the stop no problem”. Stood by the Salt Lake Express sign. Well, the shuttle never came. It turns out that the stop he was at hasn’t been “in use” for 6 months (customer service guy says as if we’re the dumb ones for not knowing that). The real stop is around the corner in the hotel parking lot. The driver never called (they have the passengers number). Now my kid is stuck in UT, 500 Miles away. No more shuttles today. Can’t get to the airport for the flight home. They refunded. Great. But I don’t need the $$$, I need my kid home. SO disappointed. I shared a great idea with the apathetic customer service guy: TAKE DOWN YOUR SIGN if your bus doesn’t stop at the BUS STOP. The sign makes people think that your bus stops there. ♀️

Fantastic experience: I've used SLE so many times to catch my flights out of Vegas I can't even count. They are reliable and courteous. Donnie was my driver on this run and he was the friendliest one yet. Great conversation and very accommodating, give that guy a raise! I'll be back :)

Fantastic experience: Waited at the St George office for some time before catching the bus to go up to Draper. The staff were very friendly and cheerful, Randy S was very personable and made the effort to talk to everyone and brought down all other traveler's anxiety for their trip. Fantastic experience: I deliver for GoldCup St George and I've used your shuttle service several times and have recommended it to many of my friends and family. I deliver hot beverages every month to the St George office and have always felt welcomed by the workers there. Fantastic experience: I have used Salt Lake Express multiple times going back and forth from St George to Salt lake. I have gotten to know everyone working at the St George Office. Their manager Neidine is very kind and helped me when I was lost at the greyhound terminal in Salt Lake. I also met with the ladies and gentleman that works in the lobby when they used to have their office location at the Kmart plaza. I had the privilege to work the Matthew and also got to speak with Any, Maria and Michele W and also Tj. They are always friendly and helped answered all my questions. I also got the chance to meet Michelle J and Sandra and Brian and Janae a while back when I was catching a 4am shuttle to Salt lake. Negative experience: Nice drivers and good pickup locations. That said the bus broke down for 4 hours, sat on the side of the road on the bus with no ac in 100+ degrees. No refund. They refunded the unused leg of the trip ($30) since we didn't need it as we were too late for the purpose of the trip. Their contract does say they are not responsible for costs incurred for travel disruption like hotel and change fees, which I did not ask for. I guess they include refunds with that clause. In any event, I would probably recommend the St George Shuttle as they have a better on time record and a more flexible refund policy when they have an issue.

Negative experience: I’m a regular on the St. George shuttle and have taken the Salt Lake express to Vegas airport twice and had horrible experiences both times. If I could give it zero stars, I would. While the company itself did nothing wrong, I would never use this service again and never advise my friends or family to. Today’s bus left St. George with multiple men that smelled horrible and made the entire bus reek. All passengers were nauseous and uncomfortable the entire ride. The staff knew about this prior to departure as one of the men was in the main office waiting, and the entire office smelled too bad to enter. I understand it’s not their fault but it was truly unbearable for everyone for a multiple hour ride. On my first ride a few months ago, we picked up a drunk group of men in Mesquite who were on their way from California across the country, and they started throwing up drunk inside the van on the ride to St. George. They were drunk and laughing at the one who was throwing up with no regard for the driver and the other passengers. Again, the smell and noises were horrible and the entire ride was miserable for hours. I thought this was a one time fluke, but now I know to never take the Salt Lake express again.

Fantastic experience: Claudia Carlisle is fantastic. She is a driver that took time on her break to help me get on a different shuttle last minute. She went out of her way to make sure I wasn’t stranded. The email I received showed the Maverik pick up location on Bluff street, and come to find out, I was in the wrong spot. That really could have left me in a bad spot. I’m traveling by myself and would have had to wait 6 hours for the next shuttle. Locations should be updated regularly for travelers. Negative experience: I would suggest to avoid at all costs. Took a ride from Las Vegas Airport to Saint George. It’s 107 degrees and the AC stopped working. The battery light comes on. I told the driver it’s likely that his battery is dead/dying because of the heat. He calls it in and they tell him to just keep driving! He picks up another passenger at the Casino on the Nevada border. I tell him again it’s your battery/alternator and it’s best we wait at the casino in the AC then take our chances on the road. He pops the hood and inspects the alternator belt and said it’s good and calls it in. They still tell him to go on even though their is no AC and it’s 107 degrees outside This is nuts because they are literally taking a chance that they will have a van full of people stranded in a remote road when it’s a furnace outside. Sure enough back on the road and all the lights start flashing and the car dies. The driver casually mentions that the van we are in with a cracked windshield is doing good for having 300k+ miles on it!!!! It’s 107 degrees outside the AC hadn’t been working and they have no emergency water or battery fan Incase of getting stranded. The driver says that he called the shop and a new driver is coming should be about 20 minutes. One hour later no one has come and I catch a ride into town with some kind people who stopped. I call their dispatch and they hadn’t even sent someone yet and said they weren’t aware of the situation of a broken down shuttle. Who knows if by the time I’m writing this if people are still baking in the hot heat stranded on the side of the road. I would rather hitch hike than take this shuttle again. Editing my review to include that despite their standard reply below to poor google reviews, 48 hours later no one has called me to follow up after I reached out or offer a refund. Avoid this transportation company at all costs!

Negative experience: So glad my flight got delayed! I've taken this shuttle twice now, and both times it was late. I always give myself 2 hours from the expected arrival to my boarding time -- which should be more than enough time. If my flight wouldn't have been delayed, I would have missed it. That's not my main complaint, though. The customer service for this place is AWFUL. I called the morning of my shuttle, and asked if I could drive myself to the shuttle station, leave my keys at the front desk, and have someone come pick up my car later that evening since I couldn't get a ride there. I spoke with Matthew, who was very kind, and said that this was doable. When I arrived at the shuttle station, I waited at the front desk for several minutes while the receptionist, whose name is Michelle, was watching a movie-- completely oblivious to my existence. I finally got her attention and politely explained the phone call I had made earlier. Before I could even finish speaking, she cut me off and said "NOPE. WE DON'T DO THAT." She was very snarky. I politely and calmy expressed how the inconsistency among employees really inconvenienced me because I didn't have anything to do with my car. She was very unprofessional and gave unnecessary attitude. I hate to be a Karen-- and I very rarely am-- but I finally gave up, asked for her name, thanked her, and sat down. Long story short, if you are departing out of St. George, take the St. George shuttle. I've only ever had positive experiences with them.

Fantastic experience: Much more comfortable seeing than Greyhound in my experience. Restroom was broken on my shuttle but it was communicated when we got on and we stopped for a 15 minute break.

Negative experience: This company is very difficult to deal with. Busses always seem to he late. We’ve had layovers almost 3 hours long at the SLC airport. We’ve called and left complaints but they don’t care. They wouldn’t take our complaint serious. Merely replied “Okay Thank you”. They are the only game in town that goes from Rexburg ID to St. George Utah, so they can treat people how they want. I really hope another business opens up to knock them off their prideful apathetic horse.

Negative experience: Decided to take the shuttle which would leave me two hours to catch my flight at the las vegas airport. The shuttle arrived a half hour late. They stopped outside of Vegas for twenty minutes to get $20 worth of fuel, Which put us even further behind. I arrived at the airport but the driver didn't know where to go. Luckily I caught my flight but I walked up to the gate just as it was boarding. I'm not doing this again!

Fantastic experience: My shuttle trip from Salt Lake City to St. George was one of the best ever. The captain of the ship was Misael Aguilar who provided excellent customer service from doing a great job loading the luggage to a smooth ride. It was the first time I rode in one of the larger buses that included electrical outlets and USB ports as well as plenty of comfortable leg room. Misael guided us through the beautiful Utah landscape with an expert hand and really made my trip a pleasure.

Negative experience: We were over an hour late to get to our destination of St. George. Dispatch had no regards for our driver, Luke Davidson. While he was trying to fix a mechanical issue with their bus, Dispatch had him turn around for another passenger that had missed our connection, even though we were there for over 5 minutes the first time (Provo). Those of us passengers who had connecting busses to other locations, were screwed due to lack of intelligence on the dispatchers part.

Fantastic experience: After Greyhound SCREWED UP my trip beyond description (truly would be a incredibly long list to write). forcing me as a ticketed passenger to SLEEP ON THE SIDEWALK FOR 3 DAYS OUTSIDE THE LAS VEGAS BUS STATION because the only 'rent' a stall at the federally owned depot. It was a freaking NIGHTMARE. THIS outfit, THESE people were AMAZING!!! they have the most COMFORTABLE waiting area for a 6 hour layover. Complimentary COFFEE included!! Salt Lake Express needs to buy out the GreyMutt bus company and take over the bussing industry

Negative experience: I took the express to and from Vegas to St George, Utah. The driver on the way from Vegas was not very friendly and didn’t even wait 2 minutes for a passenger who was supposed to be on board but was not at the pick up location. There’s poor signage and it’s difficult to find the location of the pick up. On the drive to St. George, it was dark and late. He kept veering out of his lane and hitting the bumps on the side of the freeway. We were worried that he was falling asleep. My wife was worried. Even though I ordered door to door service ahead of time, I still had to wait half an hour in the cold for my “taxi” to arrive and take me to my hotel. I asked the staff at the counter but they were very dismissive and rude. The lady with false eyelashes didn’t even look up from her screen, just barked at me to “wait”. Next time I would go for a different company instead.

Negative experience: Get comfy, I have a lot to say. (1) when you get to the office, no one knows which bus is going where. So, people wander around talking to other passengers who also have no idea. Most just shrug. (2) I paid for a departure at 3:50 pm. We left at 4:50 pm and then were told we had to stop and get gas. Left St George at 5pm. (3) The driver is doing everything - cleaning the van/bus, fielding questions, checking people in, loading luggage, and trying to organize. This was a disaster. (4) There was so much luggage that about a dozen pieces were stacked in seats in the bus. (5) the bus is making horrible sounds. (6) not once did the company reps ask anyone about flights people might be late for or give us a revised ETA to the Vegas airport. (7) no signage, no safety. People leave luggage in the path of cars, kids and people walk to get on the shuttle. Cars nearly hit a person and almost ran over some luggage. (8) arrived at terminal at 6:20pm, a full hour and 10 mins late. Please, Salt Lake Express, figure out what customer service means and then start a shuttle service.

Negative experience: I have been riding this shuttle twice a week for months now. Before I start ranting ... I have looked past a couple of things.... 1. They have some relationship with Greyhound, and pick up Greyhound passengers coming from Los Angeles up through Utah. I do not recommend the shuttle to/from Las Vegas - you will be crammed in a small shuttle bus with transient people. Bring your nose plugs, and be prepared to literally rub up against people after climbing over them. 2. Watch for bugs. On one trip I ended up with bites all over my legs and arms. I went through bed bug precautions for weeks. Now the rant…This week I parked my car at the Trax station lot in Provo and waited for over 30 minutes for the bus (not unusual). In the past I have walked across the street and stood on the sidewalk, but learned they are usually late, so I wait in my car. I tracked the bus on their website, and as I watched him come around the corner, I got out of my car, grabbed my bags and started walking to the street. AND THEN I WATCHED THEM DRIVE AWAY!!! I called the office and said if he can't turn around, he can stop in Nephi and I will catch up to him. NOPE! The agent on the phone said she could give me refund IF her manager approved it. I said the manager needs to call me... Didn’t happen. And my weekend at home was not going to happen. I got a refund, but no apology or a hint of concern. If you want to be on that bus you'd better stand on that sidewalk until they eventually arrive (usually 30 minutes late). They just lost a customer that used their service twice a week, and they don't seem to care! I am not rude person, and consider myself a pleasant customer that always tips the driver. But that doesn’t seem to matter! Back to the airport for me!

Negative experience: If I could give this company a negative score I would! Horrible consumer service! HORRIBLE. The company transferred my parents from Layton to SLC. The shuttle did not pick them up! When we called and talked to "James" he said they could wait for the next shuttle . . . six hours! Four Elderly people were left to wait for hours because of the unbelievable incompetence. When I asked James how his parents would feel if they were left in an airport for six hours waiting - he said they would be fine! Do NOT, I repeat . . . DO NOT send elderly travelers with this company. They don't follow through, they don't care and they don't refund. They took zero responsibility for not picking up the travelers. THE WORST! Even with the ADA paperwork filled out they did not take any responsibility. THE WORST! JAMES was completely worthless! Zero help to try to make the situation right.
