Flynn Cruiseport Boston Black Falcon Terminal is a well-organized and user-friendly cruise port that offers a smooth embarkation and disembarkation process. Many passengers praise the staff for being friendly and helpful, making the overall experience more enjoyable.
Some highlights include:

Flynn Cruiseport Boston Black Falcon Terminal: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Well organized easy transfer from ground to cruise ship. Staff were friendly and helpful too!
Fantastic experience: It's super simple to get in and out of for our excursions.
Fantastic experience: Very nice Unbelievable..
Fantastic experience: At first glance, it doesn't look like there is much here. You have to walk to pick up an Uber. But the bus (SL2) is right on the corner. I met people going on a visit to Harvard. I personally went to Boston Commons.
Positive experience: The port itself is nice and has internet connection but the main downtown is far 20 to 30 min by car.
Fantastic experience: Quick, efficient, easy.
Fantastic experience: Easy on and off the ship. Grsat experience at our home port, though I did learn on our ship that boston is one of the most expensive ports, which is why we don't have much cruise traffic. I really wish we could fix this. More ships departing from boston would be wonderful.
Positive experience: Was decent enough, some of the employees seemed to be a little more rude and aggressive than others though
Negative experience: Does not provide liberty to crew members
Positive experience: Rating as a destination, as opposed to a drop off. Kinda far out of the way from local items - takes a long walk to get somewhere fun. Likewise, lots of cabbies driving terribly - usually too fast for the area. So walking through can make the drive a little more harrowing.
Positive experience: Lots of construction and difficult finding terminal.
Negative experience: Well being a crew member that works on ship the treatment you get is very bad from the port authorities and cbp so good port but treated you like an alien
Fantastic experience: Boarding went smoothly and was very quick.
Fantastic experience: Amazing embarkation process at Flynn Cruiseport. Quick and painless process with very attentive and kind staff.
Positive experience: There were no free shuttle buses to the city, which was a good way, and as it was raining, we didn't bother to go anywhere. And like a number of others just took advantage of the free WiFi in the terminal building.
Fantastic experience: Very organized. Friendly staff. Well run very clean
Negative experience: The port cannot process passengers effectively ! Very slow and chaotic !
Fantastic experience: So hard to find a park and ride. Avoid to arrive late or long wait for ride. Planning a trip with URVIP Transportation for a stress-free. Top notch limo car service with great chauffeurs.
Fantastic experience: Very efficient, helpful despite pouring rain.
Fantastic experience: Very good ferry port in Boston, we were not long getting onto the ship.
Fantastic experience: Great cruise port! The staff were nice. It was very industrial. But it was straightforward and easy to find cruise terminal.
Positive experience: It's okay
Positive experience: Not good not bad. Probably unchanged since the 70’s.
Fantastic experience: Great hotel and location
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing, I have no complaints.
Fantastic experience: AVery good tour of the immediate Port area as well as a fun cruise around St George Island.
Fantastic experience: 30 mins walk to downtown
Fantastic experience: I'm not sure I'm reviewing the right thing here, because I thought it was called Liberty. However, the terminal is clean, well maintained and efficient.
Fantastic experience: Easy travel experience and great parking if you arranged for it. New Hampshire to Boston, easy ride.
Positive experience: Clean and spacious terminal... The security staff are welcoming... And helpful.
Negative experience: Very chaotic, lines were not identified, boarding gangway was way too steep and was a real safety hazard.
Positive experience: Your basic cruise port. Nothing fancy here.
Fantastic experience: Love the secured parking
Negative experience: This cruiseport in Boston is OK, BUT I'm rating it down because you need to know that it will require EXTRA time both boarding and disembarking. It's a Boston thing. The traffic can just shut you down. I love Boston, but the traffic is brutal. Also, be careful when disembarking. This terminal for Princess didn't have a big US Customs facility. So, the whole ship had to do customs on the ship. Add that to Boston traffic and making to an early flight might be risky.
Positive experience: Decent easy-entry, easy exit port with a variety of local transportation choices...trolley tours, buses, taxis and ubers on-hand. Staff is organized, efficient and friendly. It's a difficult place to keep clean but we saw NO litter.
Positive experience: Great crew. But a little problem of communication between the crew to the passengers. Never new the up coming weather at the next port
Fantastic experience: Easy in and out. Shuttle parking was great.
Positive experience: Terminal is well supported by hotels close by. If you are cruising out of Boston the port area offers you options. Airport is very close
Fantastic experience: The embarkation process is efficient and well-organized. Staff are amiable and attend well to every passenger. The port is clean, well-lighted and well-ventilated.
Positive experience: Given that most cruise terminals are consistently a poor experience, this one is no worse than average.
Negative experience: Very unorganized. I hate leaving bad reviews but I like honest opinions. I can appreciate frustration when things are not going as planned but our disembarkation was utter chaos and the ladies running the process were some of the rudest people I’ve ever come in contact with. They have no tact or customer service skills. People asking simple questions were yelled at. I’d suggest getting an Uber. It’s the same cost and less hassle.
Fantastic experience: Great peoples, nice and very organized.
Positive experience: Very poor facility. Needs more attention and more staff. Waited far too long to board ship due to lack of port staff and/Adequate plan to handle the crowd.
Fantastic experience: It's a clean, spacious, and well lit port. Easy to get to if you're on foot. There's also free WiFi to connect to so you can access the internet if you don't have it on the ship.
Fantastic experience: It was the easiest port we've ever dealt with
Negative experience: This cruise terminal needs to be re-designed. The road to the terminal was mostly stop and go on a weekday. The cars leaving the terminal were stopped by the cars entering the terminal. When our driver stopped to let the leaving car through, we were honked by the cars behind us... What a nightmare!
Fantastic experience: Smoothest embarkation ever! We came a little early for our time slot, but we dropped off our bags,, passed through security, checked in, and were immediately allowed to have our room keys and proceed onto the ship. I was very impressed with the process!
Negative experience: Insane line to board Holland America cruise ship.
Positive experience: It was a decent cruise port. When the boarding line is long, the baggage drop-off is on the wrong side of the terminal. You have to walk the length of the terminal 3 times (from the shuttle to the baggage drop-off, to back of line, and then while in line back toward the baggage drop-off).
Fantastic experience: Lines very long, but it went quickly. Very nice staff and they were very efficient.
Fantastic experience: Friendly and efficient staff. Quick and easy boarding process!
Positive experience: Well laid out to move cattle. I'm sorry people hate these places. All of them are not a pleasant place to be..
Positive experience: 7-Day Cruise to Nova Scotia last stop returning to Boston was Portland Maine
Fantastic experience: Very efficient onboarding. Well organized luggage claim disembarking. From a consumer’s perspective, we could not have asked for more.
Negative experience: Long lines to wait, over an hour!
Fantastic experience: Convenient located. Just hop off yo get tour buses. Small shop inside. Bit of a walk to town but close to some restaurants
Positive experience: Pretty close to downtown
Negative experience: Nice enough. Would not let us walk to town. Shuttle bus to draw bridge. About 15 to 20 minutes between shuttles. Pier next to active rail tracks.
Fantastic experience: black falcon pier Oscar Austin
Fantastic experience: Simple to navigate to your cruise ship and well done by the staff. Only one example of an angry woman who should find a job without customer interaction. Hope she's off when you visit.
Positive experience: It's a big city cruise port. Nothing local. Do an excursion.
Positive experience: Considering how much traffic there is there and so many people getting into vehicles to leave, it flows very smoothly.
Fantastic experience: Amazing cruise port just next to airport
Positive experience: There is not a lot here compared to other ports I have been to. The baggage handing staff was exceptional. Embarkation/disembarkation was a bit chaotic compared to other ports. Alot of hurry-up and wait scenarios. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Fantastic experience: This was our fifth time using the Flynn cruiseport. Once sailing on Royal Caribbean, and 4 times sailing on NCL. Easy embarkation and even easier disembarkation. Wish there were more cruises out of Boston.
Fantastic experience: Very easy parking! Close to ships to board for cruise! Very good price! Should use if going on a Cruise
Negative experience: Too small for cruise ship crowds (lines chaotically spilling down the outside of the building and no protection from inclement weather), badly in need of a remodel (decaying concrete, hasn’t been painted in years). Functional once inside, at least, and Massport authorities here much less likely to yell than those at Logan, in my experience.
Positive experience: Slow getting into actual terminal because of long lines. I suggest going an hour earlier than your boarding time. Be prepared it was even worse getting off NCL especially if you are not an U.S. resident. Two hour lineup for customs inside ship then again after customs on ship before getting into terminal to claim luggage. Because of this I almost missed my flight which was booked for 1:30.
Positive experience: Well never cruise with NCL AGAIN.The destination was wonderful at Bermuda. Had some issues with our toilet not working. Then the quintessential shopping experience was a joke. We left the ship at 8a and nothing was open . So the sightseeing was wonderful. But no shopping. We also paid extra for priority loading and offloading. However at the end of the cruise back in Boston NCL DIDN'T FOLLOW THERE OWN RULES FOR PRIORITY AND THOSE WHO DIDN'T PAY JUST JUMPED INLINE. When I asked about priority offloading there response was "No one will listen to us and we just let them first come first serve. My wife and I waited 2 3/4 hours winding around the ship before we could get off. Again destination amazing but the ship needs to do better for the customers.
Fantastic experience: Excellent & efficient cruise terminal with excellent baggage handlers. Parking garage in walking distance & taxis in abundance. Restaurants & entertainment within walking distance.
Positive experience: A big confusing warehouse area. The areas are not clearly marked as to what ship & where luggage drop off is. Pretty fundamental check-in area.
Positive experience: Stopped your briefly on a cruise. Heading up the east coast from New York. As cruise ports go it's all right. Nothing particularly special but located conveniently near lots of nice restaurants. All those strangely I didn't find any real shopping. Or at least the kind of stuff you would expect for knick knacks when on a cruise.
Fantastic experience: Very well organised for smooth transit.
Negative experience: This cruise port hates UBER! They have NO SIGNAGE, NO DESIGNATED MEETING Spot, and when we asked the port guide where we can meet an Uber and she tried to urge us to take a taxi. When we said no, she then pointed in the OPPOSITE direction of where Ubers actually gather. The taxi union has this pier doing their bidding.
Fantastic experience: Boarded Norwegian Pearl to Canada. Driver brought us right up to entry. Some traffic but went quickly.
Positive experience: We had a great New England Royal Caribbean cruise out of this port in October. Very organized and kept us moving.
Positive experience: Port has good wifi. There’s a seaman centre for crew working in ship. There’s a reebok showroom nearby. Downtown is 10minutes by car and 20minutes by walk.
Fantastic experience: Easy access to the terminal, ample transportation to and from the complex, with ample parking
Negative experience: Had to wait long line outside. Then another biig line before security check . Nobody to tell you what is next. Disappointed.
Fantastic experience: Very well organized cruise terminal in Boston. Luggage porters very friendly, helpful and very accessible made a very good first impression. Security guards were also very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, polite and professional in the interactions. Check in was fast, efficient and without any issues. Received my key card and boarded the ship all within fifteen (15) minutes, from time of arrival in cab and dropping off luggage to checking in and heading up the gang blank and boarding the ship. One of the quickest embarkations that I have experienced amongst my fifty-six (56) cruises.
Positive experience: Organized chairs available but no water...large building but don't arrive before your assigned time as you will be in chairs for a long time waiting.
Fantastic experience: Easy in using a Lyft. Quick ride from Embassy Suites at Logan Airport. Also, it is quick and easy to drop off luggage with the porter and go through security to check in for cruise.
Positive experience: Yeah, that was the port I caught a Norwegian pearl out to bermuda everything went smooth.
Positive experience: Not that you have any choice. You go to the terminal at which your ship is moored. They were relatively efficient. We did not have to wait more than a few minutes at any station. It is devoid of charm, which is to be expected.
Negative experience: It’s literally a nightmare getting in and out of here. I don’t blame Boston or the port authority for this. It’s not like Boston is a huge cruise ship destination. So why invest so much in making this better. Just be prepared and patient. It’s a stressful process.
Positive experience: Parking, there is no parking at the terminal. You must use an app, and reserve your parking at a local garage. Holland will list the parking area they are running a shuttle to. There are many parking areas within a 15 minute walk. Check in, need your passport, and boarding pass, I used the app, and had a paper backup. Luggage drop off is not clearly marked, the entrance is one way, drive past the Autodesk building, take a right, they will have a sign telling witch terminal your ship is at. The ship names are similar, so make sure you know the spelling of your ships name. Embark, was no line, they assist you at a kiosk, they scan your passport, take your picture. Keep your tickets out, you will show it multiple times, till they scan you in at the gangway.
Fantastic experience: Super friendly, helpful porters. Love Boston!
Fantastic experience: Easily accessible and great dock workers to help you with your baggage.
Fantastic experience: Very efficiently run, wait was minimal, very friendly people.
Fantastic experience: One of the best organized cruise terminals I have used.
Positive experience: It was close to the ship with easy entry and exit. Clearly lit and not exposed to the elements.
Fantastic experience: Great place to offload from the cruise and head into town. You'll need a shuttle or ride to get into the city to play!
Positive experience: Not much to see here. A short walk from ship to outside.
Fantastic experience: Holland America made boarding our ship quick and efficient. 2000 passengers were all issued barcodes in advance and we were processed as if we were processed as if we were in a UPS parcel facility.
Fantastic experience: They are so efficient /Cruise Lines/ drop offs & picks ups on Fridays times are very close. PEOPLE-PLEASE MAKE SURE U TIP THESE HARD WORKING PORTERS!! EVERYTHING is like clockwork-they are a SIGNFIGNANT Part of this..Where your Luggage goes- is it heavy- THINK?? They work HARD!
Negative experience: No passenger services. No shopping. Retail areas are too far away to walk
Fantastic experience: Clean, well staffed, friendly staff, efficient. One of the best/easiest ports to cruise out of.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing elderly ladies at the reception! We felt ourselves really welcome, and all procedures took us some 10 minutes.
Fantastic experience: Easiest cruise ship terminal I have ever gone through. Fantastic experience.
Fantastic experience: Very nice place, limited parking and you have to pay for parking. People and workers are very friendly and nice.
