Fantastic experience: This was a great tour. Really enjoyed all our guide shared about the local herbs and spices, and that she had some leaves so we could sample their aromas. She continually shared throughout the drive about your wonderful island of Dominica. The Gorge swim up to the falls was my favourite experience :) The sampler tent was also good.

Positive experience: Shore Excursions Group is a nice way to book excursions for a cheaper price. We booked a canal tour in Amsterdam. Even though I had inputted our cruise details into the shore excursions group website, which enabled excursions to match our ports & dates to populate for choosing. The meet up instructions for the tour stated the meet up location would be a 20 minute walk from the port. Our cruise however docked in Iljmuiden which was actually an hour away. The shore excursion group website should be able to update meet up instructions based on the ports linked into the cruise we input. This resulted in some confusion.

Fantastic experience: We truly enjoy using Shore Excursions Group as an alternative to the cruise experiences. Generally speaking they more more options with fun filled choices. In Barbados, we really enjoyed the tour and would love to do more monkey, snorkling, sea turtle adventures in the future!

Fantastic experience: Loved the excursion with the winery tour/lunch and visit to Mt Vasuvious. Great guide and driver. The climb was a challenge but we did it.

Positive experience: We booked 3 tours with this company and unfortunately right before our last tour we got sick, we called the company excusing us from the tour and we requested a courtesy refund because they explained to us that sickness was not a valid reason for the request. Call me old fashioned But I’m all about customer service and we felt that they failed at that.

Fantastic experience: We booked an excursion in Hawaii and one in Bore Bora along our cruise with Shore excursions. b Both trips were excellent. Everything went as well as we hoped for. Substantially less expensive way to go then going through the cruise ship we stayed on. Recommend it to anyone.

Positive experience: We recently booked an excursion on Grand Cayman Island with Shore Excursions Group. We were sailing on Celebrity Apex, and we didn't find any ship based excursions that interested us, so we checked SEG and found the 'West Bay and Seven Mile Beach" tour. The tour guide met us at the port on time and where the directions stated. Overall, it was an OK experience, but probably not worthwhile for someone that's been to the Cayman Islands before. The excursion consisted of a small group in a minivan, viewing a couple of tourist attractions, but also stopping at tourist trap shopping spots. The A/C in the van didn't work well and it was a hot day, so the drive around the island was uncomfortable. Also, for the beach stop, the driver recommended a spot to grab a quick lunch across from the beach, but it took almost an hour to get a fast bite - don't make that mistake if you book this excursion!

Fantastic experience: Great experience booking all excursions! We were on a cruise and all directions were easy to follow and the teams heading excursions were amazing. The st Lucia sailing team on carnival catamaran were outstanding! Big Mama in Dominica what a guy! So much information given and such a fun tour!

Fantastic experience: We booked an excursion to Pinney’s beach, Nevis, through Shore Excursions group. The pick up and collection were bang on time, instructions for meeting point were clear. We were given two sunchairs (one each for our party of2) and they were sheltered from the sun by a gazebo-type structure. Beach was clean and staff was helpful. No food or drink was included at the beach but you could pay for it if you wanted. Boat trip to get there was about 1 hour and we were offered a drink. Due to high waves we were left at Nevis harbour and taken to the beach by bus (10 min drive or less).

Fantastic experience: Ancient Ephesus and House of Mary/ cruise port excursion. We were met on the pier, easy to find the guide. Nice small group of just six people. Comfortable mini bus with air conditioning. Guide was really great and gave us lots of interesting information. Ephesus was really busy but we were escorted through effortlessly and got to see all the sites along with all the background information to give context to what we were seeing. After the tour ended we had time to visit the local market in Kusadasi before returning to the shop. Excellent value for money and 1/2 the price of the cruise line excursions.

Fantastic experience: We have used Shore Excursions Group for eight different excursions over the past two years and EVERY ONE has been a great experience. Whether in the rainforests of Alaska or the ruins in the Greek Islands, everything went as planned and without any delays or hiccups. The individual Hosts at each location/port we found to be Informative. Welcoming. A wealth of information and hospitable right from the get-go. Special Kudos goes to Emre (Ephesus, Turkeie) and Zafeira (Rhodes, Greece). Textbook case of customer service and hospitality - two great ambassadors not only for their countries but for SEG as well. Fantastic experience: We had a great time seeing the coastline and driving into the white stone-topped mountains above Ensenada, MX. Cetta Vineyards/Winery is a BIG deal!! We were amazed by their production facility and tasted 4 generous pours of white & red wines. All delicious!! Their store has a huge variety of wines to purchase. Our tour guide provided bread from a local bakery, cheeses and olives grown in the vineyard, which were the tastiest green olives I’ve ever had- very mild! We visited another small vineyard not far from the first, where I was able to video hummingbirds feeding on bougainvillea flowers. Beautiful! Our guide provided pizza at the second winery to accompany 4 pours. I did taste the wines but did not finish them as they were very strong flavored wines. Lovely excursion! Easy to walk to our meeting point from the ship. Would highly recommend this scenic wine tour!

Positive experience: I have just finished 6 shore excursions provided by Shore Excursion Group in Oct /24. All of them were very well organized. Compare with the ones provided by the cruise company, they were almost the same quality, but cheaper prices. They know all the cruises's schedules. You never have to worry about getting back to the ships late. I would highly recommend to everyone. I have booked more of her excursions for my next cruise in May/25 already.

Fantastic experience: We've used Shore Excursions Group to set up excursions in Bora Bora and also Cozumel. Each time, we were treated to a wonderful experience provided by top-notch tour providers. We've found that Shore Excursions Group has unique offerings not provided by the cruise companies, and at excellent prices. Communication is excellent. We have already entrusted them with arranging excursions on an an upcoming trip in the South Pacific. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: Booked an excursion in Roatan called “Three Stop Snorkel “ tour with Shore Excursion Group”. 30-45 minutes snorkeling time at each spot. Was pretty good viewing but certainly not the best. Crew was very good. Huge catamaran boat with probably 80 people. Too many people. Geez. They provided margaritas and beer and water on board. Beach stop was pretty nice. Water wasn’t too clear. Maybe from the rain they had recently. Idk.

Negative experience: There was much confusion getting checked in for the excursion and the communication was not good at all. The confusion and run around by the excursion company at the offices was unbearable. On our bus ride to one of them we were stopped twice. Once by the office saying we had a couple that was on the wrong bus after the company told them this was the bus to be on and the second stop was to pick up a couple who had been left behind because they put them on the wrong bus to begin with. Once we got to the excursion site it was very good.

Fantastic experience: They set us up with an excursion with a much smaller group than what we would have had with the cruise line. Pickup and drop off were on time and the guide and driver were excellent.

Fantastic experience: Great company to work with. Tours are similar to ship excursions some small groups, some larger but good, reputable companies. ShoreEx is very responsive and helpful. Have absolute confidence in getting back to the ship on time or finding the vendor when in port.

Fantastic experience: We have had multiple great experiences with Shore Excursions Group. We have always gotten back to the ship in plenty of time and the costs of the excursions have always been way less than booking directly through the cruise line! A few of our scheduled excursions have been canceled because of weather and our money was always promptly refunded. I would definitely recommend Shore Excursions Group!

Fantastic experience: We went on the Quebec Countryside tour in Oct 2024 during our New England Canada cruise. We enjoyed the small group tour of the Old Quebec and the Countryside which included a great stop at the beautiful Montmorency Falls, and a few other places. We could enjoy the beautiful fall colors too. The tour guide was very informative and gave us interesting details.

Positive experience: Good price for excursion to Amalfi Coast. Medium group size. Challenges included pick-up point not where cruise ship tour buses are (had to exit secure area, but easy to find afterwards), air conditioning was working but not very well so bus was hot, and our tour guide did not prepare ahead of time resulting in not being able to do the boat ride he offered to add on at a marginal fee (he had not reserved the boat so they were all sold out by the time he tried to reserve it). However, having a smaller group, we had more time at each stop to enjoy the ride and did not have to do the classic long wait/line-up in the ship atrium waiting for all passengers to be accounted for. Furthermore, the assurance of returning on time otherwise company pays you compensation, provides lodging, food, and transfer to next port of call, means significant peace of mind where I would strongly recommend this group as an alternative to the cruise line without worry.

Fantastic experience: We've always taken shore excursions offered directly by the cruise ship operator. For our recent 28-day cruise we booked four excursions with the Shore Excursions Group. We are so happy that we did! All the tours were great, efficient and seamless. The tour guides were either equal or better than those offered by the cruise ship. Also, the excursions offered by Shore Excursions were always at lower cost resulting in a much great value for us. On future cruises we will always look at the Shore Excursions Group first!

Fantastic experience: Safari Mario Moorea is an excellent way to see and experience this beautiful island. Our guide Temu (spelling ) was awesome. He did not rush us at stops, he said he would watch the time so we could enjoy ourselves. He gave an in-depth description of the island , its culture and superstitions. The vehicles used are compact pickups with well pad seats and a sun cover. This enables you to go up into the mountains of the crater for astounding views. Highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience: Did the Lisbon walking tour in October 2024. Excellent guide, got to see lots of places and views that we would not otherwise have discovered on our own - including a view of the city. They also took us to have really good pastel de nata (egg tart) and some tapas - all inclusive of the tour price. Given the pricing, it was incredible value and just the right length. Purchase process was very straightforward and directions on where and when to meet were very thorough and clear. Would highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to book with them again!

Fantastic experience: Boston Seafood Stroll was fabulous. Great history along the way and fabulous food at 3 places... lobster roll, raw oysters, clam chowder, fried clams. Schooner Sail in Bar Harbor, Maine... amazing replica of an old 1800's schooner. Many people helped raise the sails. Beautiful day and great weather.

Negative experience: We had a group of 6 that booked the KOPER & IZOLA BIKING TOUR for one of our port stops during our cruise. The day before the tour it was raining in Koper. The tour company sent a message to give us instructions on where to meet the next morning so there was no indication of any change in plans. The next morning we were all prepared for the bike tour, dressed casually in our biking attire. We found the spot to meet and talked to someone from "Koper Trips" that said our biking tour was cancelled due to the rain the previous day (which did not make any sense). The day of tour was completely sunny with no rain in the forecast. No clear explanation was given (and no offer of a refund), but we were told that they rebooked us on an "UPGRADED" 5 hour tour and sent us with a driver "Boris" that could barely speak English. We had no idea where the tour was going or what it was even about. This felt very much like a bait and switch. I suspect they had room on another tour and only had the 6 of us scheduled for the bike tour. He drove us to a castle about 30 minutes away where we met up with the tour guide who was driving another van with 6 other tourists. I asked the guide what this tour was and where it was going and he said we were on the VILLAGE TRADITIONS TOUR. He seemed a bit annoyed when I asked. We proceeded to look at the view and the castle that we could not go into since it is now a restaurant. Seemed like a pointless stop on the tour. We were then driven to a church that was about 40 minutes away. Again, we were all dressed in biking shorts (above the knee) and some of the women had sleeveless shirts...not quite the correct attire for entering a church. The ladies felt very uncomfortable. The tour consisted of a lady that did not speak English turning on a English recording and pointing at the paintings on the ceiling and walls as the recording played. Meanwhile the tour guide and Boris disappeared for about 45 minutes and then met up with us to take us to the next stop. We then drove another 45 minutes to the wine wall. The guide gave each of us a wine glass and 3 tokens that we could buy a glass of wine. There was no food provided, we were just told that we would be leaving in an hour. The guide and Boris disappeared again for 45 minutes while everyone quickly drank 3 glasses of wine. The wine wall was a nice novelty, but I don't drink wine so it was not something I would have chosen. Based on the description of the VILLAGE TRADITIONS TOUR, the next stop was supposed to be a visit to an olive oil farm where they were to provide tastings of olive oil, wine and food. Well this didn't happen for our group; Boris just dumped us off back at the cruise port over an hour before the tour should have ended. So overall, our group of 6 paid over 546 Euros though Shore Excursions for a 2 hours riding in a van to 3 stops and 3 glasses of wine each. This was the worst tour I have ever been on and feel completely ripped off! I will never book through Shore Excursions again. I would rather pay a bit more and use the ship's excursions since they would not tolerate this bait and switch practice.

Positive experience: We enjoyed most of our excursions on our Mediterranean cruise, BUT your Istanbul day should make clear that it is a WALKING tour. After a 20 minute bus ride to the main square, we never saw the bus again until 7 hours later!!

Fantastic experience: TAORMINA AND SAVOCA WITH THE GODFATHER A group of us (6) took this tour and we all thoroughly enjoyed it…we highly recommend this tour. And our tour guide (sorry don’t remember his name), was absolutely wonderful. Both towns were amazing to explore and we had a fabulous view of Mount Etna.

Fantastic experience: We did a hop on hop off bus tour in Athens Greece through Shore Excursion, it worked perfectly, I got my tickets, printed them out at home, also had them on my phone, presented them to the bus people and was handed a ticket that I used the rest of the day. I have used Shore Excursions in the past, and every time, they are exactly as defined and what I purchased, will continue to use them when I can.

Fantastic experience: We have used Shore Excursion Group many times for our cruise excursions and have always had great options, support, and prices. We will continue to use their services.

Positive experience: The excursions were great. Quality guides with lots of experience made each excursion memorable. Be advised, however, that SEG will not help you if a tour operator or guide has an emergency necessitating them canceling your excursion. We were notified at 7pm local time that our Coliseum excursion the next morning was canceled. SEG was not willing or able to help us get another excursion in Rome (note how many excursions in Rome SEG offers on its website); we were left with nothing. Very disappointed that SEG has not developed a process for assisting its customers in this situation, and that it is not interested in doing so.

Fantastic experience: We booked with Shore Excursions for Skagway on our recent Norwegian Alaskan cruise. Firstly, the cost was much more reasonable than the Norwegian excursion. Rather than riding a train, which is point A to point B and back, ours was a bus ride with a delightful driver. He knew all the history and other interesting details. He also stopped several times to let us off to photograph waterfalls. We even had time for a hike up to the Reid Waterfall. And the company is fully aware of the ship’s itinerary, so don’t be afraid of getting left behind. We were returned with ample time to stroll around Skagway before returning to the ship

Fantastic experience: We booked three excursions on our Alaska cruise with Shore Excursion Group. The 1st was the White Pass Rail excursion for Skagway. 2nd was Best of Sitka and the 3rd was a walking tour in Victoria Canada, each tour guide was full of great info. All the transportation vans, buses and train was an excellent way to travel for each excursion, The views and stops each tour provided was excellent. We had 7 in our group and we were very happy with Shore Excursion Group, We would use this company again, actually I am working with them currently for our cruises in May to Portugal, Spain, France, England and Iceland.

Fantastic experience: Private Ancient Ephesus, Miletus and Didyma Exclusive Mykonos Old and New Intimate Santorini We had 16 people with us and each of these tours was a private tour just for us. The guides customized the tours for our group (visiting a beach, dropping the wine tours/tasting, spending time at sites that were amazing). We would totally book with Shore Excursions Group again. They found us top notch guides and we were very happy with the adventures!

After the hustle and bustle of so much of our trip, we needed this… a lovely boat ride, snacks, swimming in the sea, music, a delicious lunch and great conversation with the crew. Fantastic experience: Great tour guide! Lots of information. Comfortable transportation! Highly recommend! We loved Olympia and Mykonos. The electric bike excursion in Athens was so much fun as was the kayake excursion in Santorini! In Malta we felt rushed, but beautiful just the same.

Fantastic experience: We booked the train tour in Skagway Alaska. Really enjoyed the tour and train ride. The tour guide was very friendly and informative. All of this was for a better value than what was being sold through the cruise line. Will definitely be booking again

Fantastic experience: Used Shore Excursion group to book the Golden circle tour in Reykjavik. Tour was excellent, clean comfortable bus and knowledgeable guide. Was about a third of the price for the same tour with the cruise line. Will use this company again.

Fantastic experience: We booked the White Pass Rail excursion for Skagway. A bus transported us from the harbor to Fraser, BC. Our tour guide was full of great info. She made a few stops along the way so we could take photos. Once we arrived at the train station she checked us in and showed us which car to board. The views going up & coming back down were great. We were very happy with Shore Excursions & the beautiful scene along the way. We would use this company again.

Fantastic experience: They provide smaller groups with local guides. We had such a great experience with our first excursion with Shore Excursions Group that we canceled our cruise-organized excursions for our next trip and booked with them. We especially loved the Ocean Raft Adventure in Sitka, AK.

Positive experience: We took three tours Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. Ketchikan was great. The guide was excellent. Juneau was ok. The guide kept turning around to the passengers while driving which was disconcerting. Skagway was half and half. The bus trip and the driver were very good. The train was not so good. It was extra slow. Taking about an hour over the anticipated time. We were coming down with something which impacted our enjoyment. I would still recommend all of the trips.

Positive experience: Split, Croatia- Kotor, Montenegro- Almafi Coast, Italy - Small groups, knowledgeable tour guides except for Almafi tour, air conditioned mini van. Given free time for shopping, touring around town. Almafi Coast tour is not as expected. The driver just took you from town to town without saying anything. He is very nice but does not speak much English. You learn nothing, you don’t even know which town you are at until you see the signs.

Fantastic experience: Did four Shore Excursions in Greek Isles. Tour guides were excellent. Buses were air conditioned and first rate. Everything went perfect. Thank you for an excellent experience.

Fantastic experience: On my recent cruise to Alaska, I found SHORE EXCURSIONS to be friendly, considerate, highly-organized and professional, in all respects. This includes the home office staff, those aboard ship and the individual guides on each of my 4 excursions. Early on, personal circumstances required that I cancel an excursion, prior to the trip, but outside their posted range for refunds. I called them, and after explaining my situation, they offered a full refund, immediately, which both surprised and pleased me, of course, as I didn't expect them to override their established policy. And, they make it very difficult for sometimes-confused tourists to get lost on their way to an excursion, providing very specific written instructions, and having plenty of staffing on the piers/other staging sites to correctly-redirect. I am very pleased with this company, and will not hesitate to utilize them again, on my next cruise.

Negative experience: The Excursion itself was barely okay. The day we had was entirely cloudy and raining. I realize it is Alaska and the weather is in a rainforest and iffy regarding sun. We could literally not see anything across Mendenhall Lake nor the glacier. The float trip once it got to the the river was okay, but you are essentially looking at residential (run down) cabins and housing on the river. The guide (Javier) was great though! Despite the weather and given the experience I would not do this excursion again nor recommend this trip to other Alaska cruise trip travelers. Pick something else, and hope the weather is okay/better.

Fantastic experience: Our host was very informative! She even helped take pictures of us. We were in a small group which was awesome! She gave us plenty of time to check out the sites and plenty of photo opportunities. She also gave us a lot of information about the area during our Excursion. I say she because unfortunately I forgot her name

Negative experience: Booked the amalfi coast tour with shore excursions group. I hate to say but I do not recommend. Our guide was great and so nice but the itinerary was incredibly disappointing. All we saw was Positano for one hour and sorrento for two hours. Our tour ended at 3:30, 5 whole hours before we were supposed to be back on ship. There's so much more we could've seen. I think it was short due to the other guests' cruise ship leaving earlier. But it was inconsiderate of our schedule. Just something to be aware about, when you book with these groups you have to share with other cruise company passengers that may have a different port schedule. :/ overall not worth the $160 a person.

Fantastic experience: The tenders were late getting us off the ship which made us late getting to our meeting place for our excursion. (10 minutes). I tried to call but couldn't get through. 5 minutes later I got a call from our tour guide asking if we were attending the excursion. We were 5 minutes away and she said she would wait for us. I was so impressed and thankful that she called. Great customer service. I never expected they would make an international call to locate us. I wish I could remember our tour guides name but she was amazing and very knowledgeable. Thanks for making our once in a lifetime vacation so memorable.

Positive experience: We took the Best of Bermuda Complete Island Tour at our port stop there during a transatlantic cruise. We appreciated that the group size was small and the mini-bus was clean and comfortable. Our guide was knowledgeable and we did complete the entire trip from Dock Yard to St Georges. Our only complaint was that timing was poor so that we only had 15-20 minutes in St Georges and no time in Hamilton as we had to get into the ferry line immediately on arrival there. That it was a Sunday and most of the businesses were closed made this less of a concern.

Fantastic experience: Shore excursion group provided numerous excursions for us on our European adventure. We are also using them on our upcoming Alaska Trip. Everything ran on time. They actually received permission for the bus to take us right to the ship for the drop off. Always 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: I did two excursions on my Alaska cruise with this group and it was wonderful. They were easy to find, reasonably priced, professional, the tour was as stated. I did the helicopter ride to the top of a glacier and did the dog sled ride. We were able to interact with the pilots and dogs and take a turn being z brake person on the sled. It was a wonderful experience. The other was a bus trip to the Yukon where we had lunch(they had a vegan option which surprised me)and pet the puppies, then we took a train ride back down to town. It was a 3 Guage railway and we could ho outside on the train. Again just a great experience.

Positive experience: I took the shore excursion to Giant's Causeway with a tour of Belfast, out of Belfast. It was excellent, with great commentary and driving. We had just the right amount of time for lunch and Giant's Causeway. The tour through Belfast was illuminating, I previously had no idea how ever present the conflict remains. I did not give five starts for two reasons. The instructions were that the bus would leave at 7:30 am, would not wait if you were late, and there would be someone present to provide directions to the bus. There was a large group of us that immediately got off the boat, worried that we would be left behind. There was no one available to provide directions. There were random buses in two separate directions. At 7:30, all of us anxious, we walked over to a set of buses we thought were correct. There were drivers and guides milling around, and yes, those were the buses. No signs. No directions. We were not allowed on the buses, so we were all bunched in the roadway. We left at 8:15. That was a shambles. At Giant's Causeway we were let off on at the side of a very narrow road leading up to the park. They explained that if they used the bus area for the park it would be 15 pounds more per person. I would have happily paid 15 pounds more to have a safe drop off and pickup, where the bus could be easily identified.

Fantastic experience: We had the best trip up to Trollstigen, Norway from Alesund port! Margita was phenomenal and so knowledgeable. She was waiting for us right when we got off the cruise at the port. We stopped for lunch at the cutest deli with the freshest bread and pastries. She gave us so many interesting facts and took us to great stops. We have a 6 and 8 year old, so it was a long car ride up to Trollstigen, but they loved every minute of it! Highly recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Great quick tour. We wanted to see the highlights of Ephesus and not an in depth exploration. We were traveling with a toddler so it needed to be quick. Our tour guide was great and informative. We skipped the carpet tour because we had no interest in being pressured to buy a carpet and knew we weren't going to buy one. Our guide was waiting right outside the port for us and the group was nice and small. Bus was a very nice tour bus.

Fantastic experience: Direction/instruction was provided from ship to Excursion Group meeting location. Which was very useful to know how to proceed to Progresso from the ship. Shore Excursions is a third party. Our actual tour was by Green Iguana. Those guys were knowledgeable. I felt safe the whole time. Their tour was hands on which helped the kids stay interested in the history of the Mayans. I would use this company again.

Positive experience: The tour of Seville was disappointing. The distance of 90 min both ways did not allow time to break and lunch. An extra hour and less time in the cathedral would have been better.

Fantastic experience: I use the Shore Excursions Group every time we do cruises. They have great alternatives to the cruise line at better prices. We have never experienced an issue being back to the ship on time or any close calls. The tour guides have always been great and informative. We did have an issue ONCE where they could not take us on the prepaid excursion we booked and they replaced it (at the pier) without any complications. We didn’t really enjoy the tour that they replaced our original one with and they made it right very promptly. So even though we had the one issue & it was resolved amicably we continue to use them and recommend them to other cruisers.

Negative experience: I recently booked a few tours through Shore Excursions Group due to their partnership with Costco, and I was deeply disappointed with the experience. What they don't tell you upfront is that all of their tours are subcontracted to different local tour companies, so you have no idea who you'll be dealing with until it's too late. It's really a shame that Costco has partnered with them now, as this lack of transparency can lead to wildly inconsistent experiences. On one trip, you might get lucky with a reputable tour operator and have a great time, but on another, you could end up with a terrible one. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened to me for both of my tours. The first tour we ended up with was poorly organized, the guide was unprofessional, and items were stolen from us after the tour guide encouraged us all to leave things on the bus because no one else would be on it. Unfortunately, he picked up unauthorized guests when he was not supposed to and $160 of souvenirs were stolen. His response was, "I didn't think they'd steal anything." When I reached out to Shore Excursions Group, they just stated that they're not liable for any theft. The second itinerary (too late to cancel after the first terrible experience) was not as advertised. We were supposed to snorkel over shipwrecks and with sea turtles and were brought to a beach that was touristy and far away from the advertised space we should have gone to. When I reached out to Shore Excursions Group to address these issues, they were completely unhelpful. They take no responsibility for the subcontracted tours and basically wash their hands of any problems you encounter. While it's convenient to browse through different excursions on their site, it's simply not worth the risk. Without knowing who is actually running the tour, you have no way of ensuring you're booking with a reputable, safe, and reliable company. Until Shore Excursions Group starts listing the tour operators they work with or taking responsibility for the experiences they sell, I won't be booking with them again. Just editing to add that while someone reached out and asked me to contact them about my experience, I have not heard back despite emailing over a week ago. Editing to add that I have still not been contacted despite reaching out to the person who contacted me on this review. I've even reached back out to them and still have not heard back. No one really wants to help you - them reaching out on this review asking for more information is just an illusion.

Fantastic experience: We recently booked all of our excursions for a recent cruise around the Aegean Sea via Shore Excursions Group. I had the pleasure of working with Denise Williams before and after our cruise. Denise was extremely helpful with securing our selections...and after our cruise when we had a less than satisfactory experience with one of our bookings. The excursions we selected featured small groups with knowledgeable and passionate guides who enjoyed sharing their local knowledge and experiences with us and our group. I would highly recommend Shore Excursions Group for the reasons stated above, but would especially want to give special notice to Denise, as her customer service was exceptional.

Fantastic experience: We had very good experience over all,. the tour guides were great, every excursion was right on schedule. Our cruise did not arrive to the planed port due to whether and Shore excursions promptly refund our money , there was a time where we arrive late and they waited for us. The price was fair, I will use this company again!

Fantastic experience: I have used Shore Excursions group for 1.5 now (in Australia, New Zealand, Caribbean, Greece, and Croatia). Have had ~ 10 outings. The prices are a big savings from the cruise ship ones and I have always felt comfortable that I would be safe on my adventures... as well as back to the ship on time! For my comfort level I buy the insurance (not much extra for the peace of mind it offers), but luckily have never had to use it. One of my favourite features is plugging in your specific sailing and having all the options at your finger tips!

Fantastic experience: This family river raft trip near the mendenhall glacier was one of the highlights of our alaskan cruise. The guide was so fun and helpful! The price was much less than if we had booked with princess. Transportation to and from the ship was seamless. It was a blast!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time with Shore Excursions in Sicily. The tour was so straightforward to book and their instructions to our meeting point were very easy to follow. We only had a half day in Sicily with our cruise itineray and they made the most of it with a boat tour & the chance to jump into the water! Then we had free time in Taormina & our guide gave us great recommendations of what to try! We all really enjoyed ourselves on this excursions and would certainly use Shore Excursions again in the future!

Fantastic experience: Used Shore Excursions Group to book at tour in Santorini (from our cruise stop) and really enjoyed our tour! Tour guide was professional and made sure we saw everything in our tour even tough our time was cut short due to crowds. Great communication before and during our tour. Would highly recommend this group.

Fantastic experience: We were on a 21 day cruise in the Mediterranean and went on several excursions from the Shore Excursion Group. They were not only much more reasonably priced but also had a better selection. They were fantastic

Fantastic experience: We took a sailing tour in Rhodes, Greece which was wonderful. The company picked us up at the gangway of our ship and took us to the yacht. Our ship had docked far away from the regular passenger dock so they called us to confirm they were coming to get us. The yacht was wonderful and they served us a simple but delicious lunch.

Fantastic experience: The checkin process was seamless when we disembarked at the port. The bus was comfortable and the tour guide was knowledgable. We enjoyed the tour but would have liked some time to ask questions about what we were seeing. The shopping time in Hamilton was fun. As a whole we were very satisfied with the tour and would recommend it to others.

Fantastic experience: Used Shore Excursions Group for an excursion while in Honduras. It was one of the best excursions I have ever done. From the sloth encounter to the snorkeling everything was perfect. I did a similar excursion with a cruise line the previous time I was in Honduras and without a doubt the more enjoyable time was had booking with Shore Excursions Group and also cheaper as well. I have booked with Shore Excursions Group several times already and will continue in the future. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: We enjoyed three excursions with this group in the southern Caribbean while cruising with Royal Caribbean. We found the drivers and guides to be friendly, knowledgeable and delightful. The tours were enjoyable and well organized and we would use this group again!

Fantastic experience: We did the walking food tour in Nassau. It was excellent. Definitely hot, and bring comfortable shoes! Though a “tasting” tour, we left full! The tour guide, Lisa, was fantastic- she made a mixed group of strangers feel like friends by the end. It was nice to visit local places, as opposed to commercial spots, and to learn the history and culture as well as taste amazing flavors.

Negative experience: The helicopter excursion is very expensive for what it is. Many many hours driving, we stopped few times to take some pics. Them helicopter lasts only 40 min, where you only see the island we saw 2 waterfalls from afar and we landed. So not worth it. Payed $ 1,700 for 2 tickets. My daughter and me think it was just a waste of the day. Annoying!

Fantastic experience: Taking the coach ride up the mountain was significantly more economical than the train ride, and I fell that we hit all the highlights. Great ride with a great tour guide. We had ample opportunities to stop for pictures and scenic vistas and the guide had great stories.

Fantastic experience: I've used Shore Excursions Group to book man tours in the past. I like how you input your cruise ship and date, and they reveal your itinerary with their available tour options... makes it super easy! They don't always offer tours in every port, but any and every tour I have booked with them is guaranteed and has been great! My experience has shown me that they are reliable, on time, well organized and high quality. This specific tour I am reviewing was in Invergorden, Scotland. Our ship did not have any full day tours, which is what we wanted. But ShoreEX did! They set us up with guide Niall and it ended up being a private tour!! We were able to visit the battlefield/memorial of Culloden, the Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle. It was the best tour of our trip! Niall was highly educated, well spoken, warm and passionate. He was full of great surprises and we highly recommend his tour!!

Fantastic experience: We used shore excursions for our recent cruise to Alaska and were very pleased with their professionalism, and we saw some amazing scenery, and had great experiences. Whales, Skagway Train Ride, and Ketchikan Totem park.

Positive experience: Istanbul - Shore excursion full day A lot to see, a lot to put into one day. Guide were knowledgeable and helpful able to adapt the speed to us. My wife was nursing a sprained ankle so the group had to adapt to her walking speed unfortunately. This left us a short time at the end for the market. Overall still a great day and all got the chance to see everything.

Negative experience: Don’t walk, RUN from this group! They put you with shady tour operators, faulty transportation, give incorrect directions and refuse to give a refunds as promised. We booked 3 tours with them. On the first one the van we were being transported in broke down. The second one we were given faulty instructions on finding the tour operator’s meeting place and were left behind along with 3 other groups who had booked with them. On the third tour, we were assigned a jeep that had several warning lights displayed and the tour did not include a number of points that were advertised. This tour advertised swimming in a beautiful underground cavern. It ended up being a dirty pond near the beach with brackish water. Over the phone I was promised a full refund for the tour that left us, but it was never fulfilled. When I emailed about it they refused to refund it. Bottom line is, don’t book with this company.

Fantastic experience: Excursions went well, with planning, coordination, information, and updates excellent IMO! A great feature was some assurance that the ship would be notified and not sail without you if things went awry! Or…..in the case of a real mess there would be some assistance to salvage the cruise in some fashion! We will feel comfortable in using them again!

Negative experience: I used Shore Excursions Group for the first and last time on my latest cruise. I am a family of four and my son had a fever on the last couple of days of our cruise, the days of the excursions, of course. We did not leave the ship because of that. I did buy the EXCURSION PROTECTION PLAN for both of my excursions and all I can say is READ THE FINE PRINT!!! After a TON of back and forth with the company they are only refunding us for 2 people per excursion. Thank God I took him to his doctor when we got home because they HAD to have a letter signed from his doctor. All of us came home and had Covid. But because of the fine print I guess that Shore Excursions Group thinks that at least 2 of my family members should have still went on the excursions. I will say I tried to cancel before getting to port but there was no easy way to do that. I will never use them again between only getting some of our money back ( which of course I am grateful for) the lack of ease to cancel while on a ship and the customer service back and forth I just needed to warn others.

Fantastic experience: Summertime Gems of Bermuda. It was one of our best excursions ever. Hiking, caves, jumping of cliff, snorkeling and beach - lots of activities. Our guide Dale was excellent, made sure we felt safe with each activity and was very informative.
