Fantastic experience: The staff was excellent. Very nice venu

Positive experience: Nut allergy warning: be careful of almond liqueurs. I kept to beer to be cautious. Indoor is large and outdoor has a few tables. Parking is street or a small lot with about 20 spots. Fun little dive bar. Two pool tables, air hockey, a photo booth, and some different seating. Large tater tots took about 20 minutes to come out, so food will be a little while if you order any. The tots were decently crispy and definitely sharable. Shrimp was OK. Drinks are fast if there's no line. Very reasonable drink prices ($6-9 for a 20oz goblet, $12-15 for frozens), and eight frozen cocktail options are great. The rotating IPA was the Brash Cali Green while I was there. After tax and tip I paid about $40 for three goblets and large tots. I would recommend they make bathrooms gender neutral or make it clearer if they are... Surprising line for male restrooms in the evening. Obviously, depends on the crowd. Great for a date, hanging out with friends, or anything else.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. Good music/ good atmosphere. Lots of interesting decorations. Varied/ interesting sounding drink options with funny names. I didn't get anything to eat but those who did it looked appetizing. Goodmusic selection. Good decorations. If you're out here to meet women there were a lot of women there only some of them were accompanied/ attached.

Positive experience: It's been a minute since I've been here the place has expanded and so have there prices. Paying $11.00 for a White Claw is way excessive it's not an Absoult Martini. I figure there are other drinks there that are more in line with a proper price. It's a go check it out for a drink. I would definitely ask for a drink menu or the price of drinks before ordering .

Fantastic experience: The Cat 13 Hurricane here is phenomenal. Banana Cream Daiquiri is unique and tastes like an island dream. The bartenders here are friendly. This place is a perfect dive. Beers on tap, bottles and cans available. Decor is interestingly perfect for this place. Bar food is good, I recommend the jalapeño hushpuppies (that I wish had a cheese in them option), and the Andouille sausage Po Boy. Five stars all the way for what it is.

Fantastic experience: My second time here and I see why I like this place more and more! Just a very cool vibe very good drinks. The bartenders were wonderful yesterday, just took care of us made sure we were good. So customer service is A1! They do serve food, which does look delicious but I haven’t had any yet so maybe on my next time visiting I’ll grab a bite to eat,they have a good amount of parking one thing for all you dog lovers. They are not dog friendly, but this is a very cool spot to come and hang out.

Fantastic experience: Cute place restrooms are disgusting and smell like sewage but I mean are we surprised? It is a pretty big bar with pool tables air hockey photo booth and a claw machine. Music is controlled by a juke box. Great ac! Outdoor patio and free parking in the lot next door. Food they have a food truck outside not sure if it's part of them but they also sell food my friend got chicken nuggets and they were gigantic! The hush puppies were pretty good. Overall a good vibe bar staff is attentive the miches are really good

Fantastic experience: I don’t want to give a great review because I don’t want to ruin the vibe of this place. It feels like native Houstonians come here instead of people looking for a trendy place to ironically hang in a dive bar. The drinks are great. The bar food is some of the better fried food in Houston, but don’t come here if you drive a Tesla or an Audi. Save it for those of us who like the black light and the sassy bartenders who rock.

Negative experience: GIRL AT THE BAR ADDS HER OWN TIP BEWARE ALSO SHE WAS EXTREMELY RUDE !!! i went on sunday around 11pm ( and just wanted a daiquiri and the bartender (she has brown hair & was wearing a white belt) was very rude. she told me i couldn’t get a daiquiri to take home without getting food.. fine so i leave and the security guard (HE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING BTW!!!!) then tells me i don’t have to order a meal they have bags of chips and egg rolls for 1 dollar which the bartender didn’t disclose to me at all so i go back in and tell her oh the security guard said we could get something for a dollar to get my daiquiri and her whole demeanor changed like i should’ve gotten a meal to satisfy her? she instantly caught an attitude and slammed the order number in front of me and didn’t even say oh have a good night nothing. then i go to my account today to see she added her own tip. i definitely will be trying to get in contact with a manager ! AVOID THIS PLACE AND GO TO A BETTER BAR

Negative experience: These workers always be lying about the time the food stops serving. One day its 1:30 am another day its 1:20 am another day its 1 am another day its 12:30 am. Basically as a customer i have to depend on their vibes on when food is available or not i guess. Such a waste of a drive to want food and a drink. Not enough chairs either. Disastrous

Fantastic experience: You won’t find a better dive bar in EaDo! The service is great, the food is delicious, and the DRINKS!!!!! Keep me coming back!!! Tammy and Khrystah are the absolute best. They make my difficult days at work so much better when I stop in for dinner and a few drinks to forget the drama.

Negative experience: Actually ew, there were roaches everywhere. I’m not sure how management even is still allowed to keep this place open. I ordered food from here and immediately sent it back bc I found a roach in my chicken tender basket. So disgusting. Once I saw the roach I asked for a refund and the bartender said she would not refund it just “void” it. Not sure what that means. The staff was rude also. You can’t have roaches and be rude, pick a struggle. :) Can’t respond to you, but I’ll edit it, it most definitely did happen and I have video evidence. Control your staff. It’s disgusting the way that this girl approached me. I left her a $10 tip bc it’s better to kill them with kindness. First and last time there. I wish the best for you guys! Get rid of the staff that’s dragging you down! all love here!

Fantastic experience: The food is actually bussing here! We got the 12 PC Shrimp and the Mangonada Daiquiri. Very nice vibes. Parking is free. Entry is free. They have 2 pool tables, 1 air hockey table and an juke box. It cost $1 to use each machine. I will say that the music is more on the old school rock and pop side.

Positive experience: $60 for two daiquiris(Pineapple Express and The Bends) and two po'boys. According to the menu what we ordered should have been $45 and not $60. Pretty brazen price abuse given that the drinks were out of a slushie machine and not handmade cocktails, and the QR code menu said they were $8-10 apiece when we were charged $15 apiece A decent place at menu value, but an armpit home in the wall dive bar for what we were charged.

Fantastic experience: We always have a lot of fun here, and drinks are great. Food is usually on point, and prices are fair all around. It does get busy because of popularity, so service at the bar is sometimes a bit of a wait but not a deal breaker.

Fantastic experience: This place is super cool. To start there is plenty of parking. A building is a super cool open concept with plenty of games to play such as pulling air hockey. Seating is endless indoor outdoor, which is great for the summer. Your drinks come in a chilled glass to taste that much better. The chicken is good. I’d recommend the tater tots over the fries.

Negative experience: Accused me of throwing a pen at the bartender. I'm disabled and have trouble with my fine motor skills and coordination sometimes. It slipped from my hand onto the bar directly in front of me, it fell vertically from me and didn't even roll off. I was so confused when she accused me that it took a second to register what was happening. Told them I'm disabled and they said it didn't matter. They tried to keep my wife's debit card as well. Looked online and saw that there were other disabled people kicked out for similar reasons. I guess we make them uncomfortable. I just want to live and do mundane things like have a drink at a bar without being harassed for something I can't control.

Fantastic experience: Unique dive bar that serves some interesting frozen cocktails along with the usual fare. Their food is all pretty good. My favorite are the hush puppies, I enjoy them every time. Staff is great, but sometimes gets a bit overwhelmed during peak hours.

Fantastic experience: This is now easily one of my favorite dive bars in the Houston metro area! And it definitely doesn’t hurt that I love me some daiquiris to boot! This establishment has very strong & reasonably priced drinks, an eclectic & diverse crowd, & a chill clean atmosphere with super friendly staff that provides excellent service! Everyone is friendly & respectful of one another, the music selection from the jukebox is great & at your leisure, the food menu is definitely popular & looks/smells absolutely delicious & there’s a nice spacious patio out front for any smokers. Voodoo Queen is the place to be in the Segundo Barrio so check it out if you’re around or up for it sometime. Try yourself a Mangonada daiquiri or 2: you definitely won’t regret it! Come as you are: No dress code no VIP no frills!

Fantastic experience: The girl behind the counter was so sweet and helpful. I really like the bar, they have 2 pool tables. There are a few tables by the bar, I think a table or 2 by the pool table and several bar seats. The food here is really good (I had the chicken and shrimp basket), I had a category 13 hurricane and boy does it pack a punch. Let's just say I drove home slow, I definitely recommend.

Positive experience: As a commuter by bicycle, this spot doesn't allow you to bring the bikes on the patio like before. Idk what happened but I always appreciate a business of understanding when they can accommodate someone making a pit stop while on bike. Food is always good. Atmosphere is more posh after the rebuild. Great establishment to support if you're driving in from out of town but good luck on parking as it's very limited and a neighboring business is too stingy to share a makeshift lot for them considering it's literally next to them.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to voodoo for many years and it's great! But I am posting a review to let everyone know that there is a City of Houston employee giving out tickets all of a sudden (as of last week according to an employee) for people parking on the side of the building, facing the coffee factory, saying we're blocking the sidewalk. So just fair warning to anyone who frequents voodoo to not park here anymore, even though yes we've been parking here for years with no probs and no there is NO signage from either the city NOR the bar!

Fantastic experience: Came here on a Sunday with some friends and family. It was very chill, and the drinks were very interesting. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a laid back place to sit and talk (At least on a Sunday)

Fantastic experience: I love this place! The daiquiris are so good, and the souvenir cups are the cherry on top. Service is great too. Ordered chicken tenders and they were taking a while to come out, so staff let us know what was going on and a few minutes later gave us complimentary jello shots. Negative experience: Linda, Kay s or whatever her name is, she assumes stuff and is absolutely rude as can be. I love this bar and I understand it’s a dive bar but she needs to check herself. Kay/Linda I wish better for you and your power trip. I will still come back but if you serve me I’m tipping you zero every single time. You disrespect the establishment you work for. Ango corporation, I’ll be reaching out about your employee, if you read over your reviews I’m not the first one to complain about her and I won’t be the last. Don’t let such a great place be dragged down by someone who can’t control her anger.

Negative experience: Third time here. Bad experiences all 3 times. The Bar manager Kay , I think is her name " get a zero for Customer Service. She cut me off the 1st visit after 3 beers (Guess she was having a bad night). Second visit, I seen her argue with a customer. Tonight, she literally came from behind the bar and yelled and screamed at a customer of 6 years (regular) because the disc got stuck at the Air Hocky game. The customer (new friend) we met there for the 2nd time pushed up against the table to get the disc to release, and Kay came from behind the bar yelling and screaming over the jukebox, using profanity, causing a scene. It was beyond belief how she treated us. We closed our $90.00 tab on a Tuesday and left. Other customers met us outside to apologize to us and said that they witnessed the entire situation. It's pathetic that she is allowed to act like that. It was uncalled for and totally a situation that could have been handled better. She unplugged the table before the game was over. Shameful.

Positive experience: Was extremely hot and humid (105 degrees). Food was ok, was small in size, cost of 12 oz Bud Light $5.00 only 1 was enough And it wasn't ice cold. Ok atmosphere, might try again when weather cools down about 35 degrees next time I travel from Pataskala Ohio to Houston Texas If I can afford it

Fantastic experience: I love this place! I got the Lay-z Islander daiquiri and it was so so good. It tasted like a coconut flavored icee and all the daiquiris come in a 22oz souvenir cup. I also got the fried shrimp poboy and I didn’t really like it, but that’s a personal preference. I still had great service, great atmosphere, and great drinks. I will definitely be back!

Negative experience: Not even close to the bar it was before it burned down. They really had a good concept with actual tiki drinks. Now it's all frozen BS drinks, rude bartenders, and their rude friends.

Negative experience: DOES NOT ALLOW ACCESS TO VETERANS WITH SERVICE ANIMALS. Been here a ton of times in the past and the last several times with my service dog; it has always been a favourite spot. Tonight we were stopped at the entrance by a young black man who I guess was the bouncer. He told us he had to go in and check with his manager to see if I would be allowed in. He returned a few minutes later and informed us that I he would be denying us access into their establishment. I would recommend you take your business elsewhere, at least until they rectify their protocol.

Positive experience: Cool atmosphere just not really digging the 1 bathroom for men and 1 for women. By mid night men were going into the women's and women were going into the men's. And the line was getting pretty long. If that don't bother you then you'll enjoy this place.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I went for drinks at voodoo yesterday at voodoo Daqs and were most definitely not disappointed. The atmosphere of the place was pretty chill, the bartender was very helpful and attentive, the drinks were on point as well. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try, you get a pretty cup too.

Positive experience: Great place near my house for a last minute stop during the night, after a night out drinking and bouncing around this is definitely the place to come get some daiquiris and some munch. We got some chicken tenders and fries and it was a solid meal to sober up after the last drink of the night. Sat outside at the benches with some friends and had a good time. Would recommend if you want a more chill setting after a long day or a night out.

Fantastic experience: Great food, affordable drinks, and a chill environment. Inside has pool tables and an air hockey table along with seating on the outside in front of the bar. Parking next door is a pain, so ubering there is your best bet. Way better experience than dealing with Safelite.

Negative experience: I want to address something. Tonight after a long evening of working my friends, my wife and I went to VOODOO QUEEN for a night cap. We had one drink and were there for about 30 minutes waiting on a few more friends. One of the waitresses approached us and said that the bouncer had seen one of us doing drugs (totally not even a remote possibility). We immediately felt super uncomfortable closed our tabs and proceeded to leave. I was shocked appauled and insulted. When we spoke to the manager about the bogus accusation all she said was she would talk to the person but asked if we could leave. Man this is totally unacceptable from a place that we have been to so many times and a place that sits in the historic east end…

Positive experience: My first experience was amazing and went back for a second time and it was cool until I had to interact with the bartender who has a nasty attitude. I asked where the bartender was that had been serving me and she rudely asked why. I told her that something I ordered didn’t taste good. Being charged for something that was disgusting and told that she can’t put it back isn’t a response you give a customer is rude af. I probably would return as long as I don’t have to deal with her. I could’ve reacted but I’m really working on myself.

Fantastic experience: Parking is easy and free. Staff is welcoming and quick to give you drinks as soon as you walk in. Their drinks and strong but yet easy drink. We ordered a Mai tai , SpongeBob ( pineapple chucks soaked in 1800, topped off with chamoy ) and a Michelada. They establishment also has games you can play inside. One negative. It’s hard to get the bartender’s attention when more than 10 people are at the bar. Takes them more then ten minutes. The fried shrimp basket is good

Negative experience: Was one of my favorite spots until i experienced one night ill never forget. A woman who claimed to be management, not only verbally assaulted me but also snatched my drink away as she refused to give me money back. I was with my husband and a group of friends and we never experienced racism like this especially in black history month. I have the entire video and will be posting it to my 50.5k followers to prevent anyone from going through what ive went thru. The security also physically assaulted me which traumatized me in a way I’ve never would of imagine. The owner need to be around to prevent this type of behavior. But unfortunately i believe they don’t really care

Positive experience: We went here for a night out with friends. It was a very diverse crowd which was awesome. The food was good but definitely your typical bar type food. We enjoyed our meals. They had a lot of fun drinks options with generous sizes. They could get a little sugary given the sizes but thats not to be unexpected. Would definitely go back in the future if we were back in that part of town.

Fantastic experience: Very cool little Daiquiri dive bar. Tons of character, the Daiquiris taste great and they typically have about 8-12 different flavors along with your typical easy found beers and liquors, but obviously the Daiquiris are the reason you come. They also serve some really solid food that is reasonably priced, the kitchen does close before the bar does so I believe they only cook until like 10pm or midnight, just don't quote me on that. Tons of street parking, avoid parking in the dirt lot next door however because that lot is dedicated to the bar across the street strangely enough. Vibe is very chill, definitely worth checking out at least once to see if it's your thing.

Fantastic experience: Voodoo Queen Daiquiri Dive is a very fun, and lively contrast to your typical sports bar, the bartenders are very friendly, knowledgeable, and offer great recommendations! The ambience is filled with tons of neon lights, quirky decorations, and popular music. The Daiquiri's themselves are AMAZING, I highly recommend the banana daiquiri!! A sweet, and filling treat!!
