Negative experience: Because you can't leave ZERO stars. Recently AAA took $500 out of my bank account in additional fees. I was sick & not checking my balance as I normally would. When I contacted customer service I was yelled at, their rep screaming "we do not make mistakes. If ther was an error & you didn't catch it immediately, that's your mistake. Not ours". Faulty reasoning but I'm still out $500 that I cannot recover. After 20 years as a member I now have zero confidence that AAA will provide customer service if I need them
Fantastic experience: Brandon helped my boyfriend and I get international permits , he was super sweet and informative . Gave us a few recommendations for our trip to Japan ! Made our experience comfortable and easy . Grateful to have had his service !

Negative experience: Never thought I would see the day when I give AAA a one star rating, but that day has come. The other day I accidentally set my keys down in my utility trailer then proceeded to lock it with the keys inside. I couldn't get into my car or the trailer so I called AAA to get a locksmith. They refused me service. I told them in an email how I felt this was incredibly lousy service, especially since I've been with them since 1997 and only used them a few times in all those years. I received a very generic email response saying how sorry they are. You can be as sorry as you want but I want my $165 reimbursed for the locksmith that you should have sent. I'm waiting.
Negative experience: Been with them for over 15 years, very disappointed with the roadside service, completely dropped the ball on numerous occasions, left me stranded a whole weekend. Never showed up after multiple calls and follow up calls . Now to top off the cancel my roadside and won't say why. On top of the insurance rates going up by at least double. Good riddance I guess.
Fantastic experience: I have not had to go into the store yet for service but I have used AAA insurance for flat tires, battery and getting stuck going off road. Every time I needed AAA they responded ASAP and sent a very qualified and efficient person that solved the problem in no time at all. I think AAA is the one insurance that is a actually worth the money. They are totally reliable and respond 24/7. AAA never lets you down. I'm a huge fan.
Negative experience: AAA is a total rip off I have been with them for 20 years. I have an excluded person on my policy. I asked them numerous times to remove the person because the person doesn’t live with me. One agent told me it doesn’t matter as long as the person doesn’t drive the car. My policy was supposed to renew in July 2024. I just learned that my insurance was canceled. I bought an $80,000 car not too long ago. I had no idea that the insurance had canceled; therefore, I was now driving a car with no coverage. Thank God I didn’t have any accidents during that time. I received an email and two text messages letting me know that my insurance was canceled 34 days ago. When I went into AAA to talk to two agents and a supervisor they claim that the insurance was canceled due to a form I didn’t fill out regarding the excluded person that had been excluded 10 years ago. I have not had to fill out this form for the past years, just so happened this year. They claimed they mailed the form to me. They said we also mailed you a refund that I didn’t receive. I told them my selected method of communication is email or text. I didn’t receive anything. They didn’t email me to let me the policy was going to cancel. However, 34 days after the policy was cancelled, I received 2 texts and an email letting me know my insurance was cancelled and asked me did I want to reinstate it. Here’s the kicker. They will not reinstate your insurance after it’s been 30 days. You must rewrite a new policy. Now my insurance went from $211 per month to $357 per month. One agent said I was on an old policy so it was much cheaper. When I insisted that they reinstate the policy, their only response is “ I’m sorry underwriting will not reinstate your policy. We have asked before. They will have to rewrite a new policy.” An agent said that the cost for insurance have changed. So AAA is fraudulently canceling all of their long time loyal members like me to put us on the more expensive plan. I am so done with AAA. This business, years ago, cared about an individual. They care less about their customers. I am looking for another company. They told me if you take your car off, your house insurance will increase. I laughed and told them what makes you think I would leave my home in your incapable hands.

Negative experience: I called AAA at 9:45am on Saturday and needed a tow, 4 hours went by with no further contact . It was over 115 degrees put. I finally contacted AAA which said super service was handling my case . . So I called them directly and then proceeded to tell me a lie they had no drivers. . They deined my service call because they didn't want to drive to santa clarita Several hours later I was picked up by another different towing company. Nearly 7 hours in full sun at 117deg is un acceptable . This has happened before ..and is likely to happen then now.. huge disappointment I left a worthless complaint with them and was told I would get a call Monday. Tuesday comes along still no call..so I text message them ..within 2 min a perfect public relations bullogne director called me to make excuses for everyone.. he went on telling memes. He asked me if I needed anything , and I said sure you can take me to dinner.. for my trouble..nope , can't do that.. enough of the bullstuff and hung up
Fantastic experience: Had to register our sons out of state vehicle and change the title in our name. What took over 2 hrs at DMV office only 15 min at AAA. Couldn’t complete process at DMV due to missing paperwork. After calling AAA for help with missing document, they told me to come in and they can take care of it for me. I know now to always double check what AAA can do for you before going to DMV. Thank you for your great service

Negative experience: My AAA car insurance went from 192 dollars per month to 397 dollars per month as of July 1st, 2024. No car accidents, No tickets, etc. They said my insurance went up due to driving close to 15k miles per year. Definitely switching now, they are out of their mind.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service with AAA agent. I requested a home insurance declaration document and Advised that it had to be faxed or scan to another insurance carrier. The agent advised that she could not fax it and hung up. Agent Katheline provided horrible service.
Negative experience: So I've had the worst experience with the DMV department, specifically with window number 2. She gave me the wrong info for almost 10 years. I was doing a title transfer and she told me that I couldn't complete the title transfer till the vehicle could past smog. So she non opped it for me. Fast forward to 10 years the car passes smog, I go in to complete my title transfer and I owe $900+ when I have non opped paper work signed by lady in window 2. She then tells me to go to DMV to see if they can wave some fees. I go to the DMV wait 2 hours even though I pay for AAA membership. Come to find out this lady never non opped it. That you can't non opp in the middle of a title transfer. So I've waited 10 years to get a pink slip cause this lady doesn't know DMV procedure. So I still had to pay the last 3 years registration costing me $465. Last should be fired and I should get compensated because I've been a member since 2006.
Negative experience: Triple A road side assistance is a scam we break down on 14 from waited 2 hours just to get and advise from a supervisor from triple A to get my own tow truck and claim a reimbursement now they don't answer my calls and do t call back this happens almost two months ago already submitted a reimbursement application I took me 15 minutes to get my own tow truck got the feeling that tow companies don't want to deal with triple A
Negative experience: When you call they will just transfer you around and and eventually hang up on you I called 6 times and every time the same thing trash place

Negative experience: Do not trust this branch. Laura Cristobal was our representative and she manipulated our information to give us a “discount” we did not ask for, causing our policy to be canceled. When she called with the bad news she pretended she didn’t know the details of our conversation, as if it hadn’t been her all along. She even refused to acknowledge this whole mess was entirely her doing. We just went in to sign a paper removing our daughter from our policy, how are we now at the mercy of underwriters, hoping to have our policy reinstated? By the way, her supervisor was very little help.. she really just wanted to cover up Ms. Cristobal’s mistake. It almost feels like common practice in this branch. DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Fantastic experience: I researched for two days for auto insurance. All the popular agencies are on four hubs, meaning you have to complete a long questionnaire... example, Mercury or Freeway or Progressive. That would be twelve questionnaires all connected to the same four hubs. Anyway, you hear about AAA being great insurance but pricey... being that they offer so many options with discounts. Well, the best I found with the hub circle jerk was $210 a month, six months up front. At AAA I got a better policy with the roadside assistance and Disney stuff and campgrounds free for $71 a month, on auto debit. Starting the policy, title transfer and registration was $315. Now I go back in 14 days with a smog test and walk away with tags good until 10/28/24. I highly recommend AAA, see for yourself, it's bigger than the DMV and does it all, including home, life, boat, airplane insurance etc., etc. and comfy seating with water, drinks, snacks and so on. You know what they say, to corner a market you just have to show love, and that they do.
Negative experience: At the beginning everything was ok, after I cancelled my policy on December 2021, still taking money from my checking account for the last 17 months, after I confronted them, they toll me the Iwas getting a refund ,that was 70 days ago( June 2023), and no refund, My question is how long the US postal service take to delivery a letter, this people they're not your friend, they just wanted to take your money whether 0they want. Just put attention on your statements. They are thif, (l drones).
Negative experience: If you’re getting an international drivers permit from here, make sure they stamp the right places. We are now unable to rent our car and are in a jam because of the carelessness of their stamping on my husbands international drivers permit. This is so unacceptable. I get that mistakes happen, but if the worker wasn’t sure about where to stamp, they could have checked.
Fantastic experience: Love the fact that all I have to do is walk in and check in and somebody comes to get me. This is only available for handicap.

Negative experience: I called AAA at 1:00 this morning because I had a flat in Rosemont at the Arco station. I have to deal with the automated system and they told me that someone would be there within the hour 4:00 in the morning some guy help me to get going. Thanks for the letdown triple a.

Fantastic experience: Changed the check in process to point you to a line for DMV service. Quicker! So, so much better than the outside wait queue during Covidmax.
Negative experience: I don’t recommend coming here at all. Especially if you are trying to do dmv paper. If you’re just paying tags they can manage to get that done , but if you’re looking to do more don’t even try. I tried doing my motorcycle with them and they made my title go on hold because they put they my motorcycle needed to get a smog. I had to call the main branch of the dmv and even then after I called it took and extra 3 months to even try to get it fixed. They can’t even answer simple questions of what is needed to register a vehicle. I went in before hand to have all documents ready when I went to register they said they couldn’t help. Either they need new employees or they need to close this branch down. I even canceled my aaa account with them.

Negative experience: On a Tuesday night my daughter & baby have been waiting over 2 hours for a local tow truck. Called back was told it would be another 40 minutes. we could have pushed the car home by now. If they are that backed up then something is seriously wrong with drivers in the AV or they need to hire more drivers. This definitely is NOT premium service.
Negative experience: Have to pay some DMV fees when I call the DMV they say I can do it at AAA well I go to AAA for they to say I need to be a member and the DMV doesn't know that, I told the lady that they should know that i wouldn't wasted the little bit of gas a had to come all the way here she say well that is also how we get more business so people just become a member to me that is wrong.

Negative experience: I had the misfortune of having to have my car towed but thank goodness, I thought, because I had AAA towing. I called at about between 1:45 - 2 PM and given a pickup time of 45 minutes. Just a few minutes after disconnecting, text message of arrival time of 15 minutes. After both times passed, I called AAA and told no trucks were available, but rest assured, AAA would pick up my car. At 4:45, I called AAA again. A very RUDE ‘agent’ told me no trucks were available and for me, they would never be available! WHAT? The Texas agent I got on the phone told me that if I was in a hurry maybe I should just get out and walk! I am a 70+ woman, I use a walker to assist me walking! The street I was on was not a developed area and had dirt shoulders, I would have to walk in the road! I was so disappointed, hurt and ANGRY with the way I was being treated! At 5 PM, I called another local tow truck company who picked me up with in 15 minutes. At 8 o’clock that night I got a call from AAA wanting to know if I still need a tow because my call for service was still in the queue. The lady called on an unidentified phone number so it automatically went into my spam box, she informed me that they were going to take my car out of the queue but if I still needed a tow, call back and they would put me back in the line. My membership is due to renew next month, AAA can take my renewal and put it on the side of the road and wait like they told me to wait. And if they get tired of waiting maybe they should WALK to my house to collect the money because I am not sending it to them! 15yrs a gold member and I have used their service 4 times! Never again!

Fantastic experience: Grest place. I arrived late in the day but no one was rushing to leave at closing time. DMV services were quick and easy. I also had a small problem with my membership, which was corrected in five minutes.

Negative experience: DO NOT use AAA for home insurance! They WILL NOT cover your water damage or mold issues even when our particular issue was stated to be covered under home insurance policy. They changed their requirement of what proof we originally needed for coverage then ultimately went with what the adjuster said versus what proof we were originally asked to collect. Mold can contribute to very serious health issues and something my medical doctors have told me I can't be around. It seems to me from my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with AAA that money is more important to them than a human life.

Positive experience: I've only been to AAA twice for DMV purposes. I was in & out fairly quick even when there was a bit of a line once. The one thing I never remember is they deal in only cash or credit cards. No debit cards.

Fantastic experience: Opens at 9am. Members were lined up as early as 8am. Probably 2 dozen members waiting in line.. A few members, not in line, just entered from other direction without fail. Doors opened up promptly at 9am. I was helped fairly swiftly as the second person waiting since 8am. I was able to get my disabled placard replaced in about twenty five minutes after entering at 9am. Staff was friendly a.nd professional.
Fantastic experience: I’ve always enjoyed doing business at the Lancaster, Ca AAA on West Ave K. I lived in the A V for 20 years and the employees there ALWAYS did their job wonderfully. They are more like a small town unified agency helping than like a huge conglomerate nationwide agency! I moved almost 100 miles away and my local AAA which is smaller never makes me feel like you guys do! Hats Off and thank you! A longtime and satisfied member.
Negative experience: BAD EXPERIENCE TRIED TO REGISTER A VEHICLE AT THIS OFFICE ON TWO OCCASIONS. WAIT TIME WAS OVER AN HOUR PLUS. I BECAME A MEMBER TO AVOID GOING TO THE DMV. MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL IS NOT AN OPTION. SERVICES UNSAT
Negative experience: Went for maps and a free travel blanket. Got an email to pick it up but when I got to AA, no one knew what I was talking about. Showed them email and said they didn't get them yet or they may be in the back. My first bad experience there.

Fantastic experience: I went with my daughter to transfer title on 2 vehicles, my daughter is not a member at present, and it was a very pleasant experience. We were both treated with respect and understanding as soon as we walked through the door. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. When my 17 month granddaughter got fussy, another associate brought her crayons and something to color on. Angela, the AAA associate for the title transfers, was so helpful and nice. She walked us through every step that we needed to do. In fact we have to return tomorrow because everything wasn't ready on my part. But Angela got everything started, so all we have to do is provide the paper work required and we will be all set. She didn't make me feel bad about having to return. In this trying time we need more people like Angela and her Co-workers with excellent customer service skills. Thank you AAA!

Negative experience: terrible service, they gave me the excuse that I had to make an appointment to do paperwork for the dmv, because it took more than an hour, and I arrived on a Saturday at noon, and they closed at 2 in the afternoon, which means that It does not matter if you are a member which I am, providing services does not matter to them

Negative experience: Terrible terrible no one answers the phone I’ve been calling since 9 AM to 11 AM and I had to actually drive there I left three messages with CHRIS the manager but he never return my calls when I was in the office I called the phone didn’t ring actually nobody’s phone rang so I guess they just turned off the ringer‘s on their phone they rather have a big crowd outside during in the heat during the pandemic
Negative experience: They don't cater to the elderly at all, they should at least have some setting outside, instead of just sending you out to a hot car, I love AAA but I was not happy with them at all yesterday.
Fantastic experience: Still have to wait outside to be let in but they do have you fill out any paperwork needed while waiting so when they let you in everything is super fast. I had to transfer title and pay tags on a car and I was only there maybe 15 minutes.
Negative experience: Horrendous! Everybody and their brother was there today! I felt like I was at the DMV or SS office, except at least those two have a number system. BUT the woman running the queues was on it and very patient and courteous!
Negative experience: What has happened to roadside assistance!!! Call for assistance at 8:40, received text that a driver was dispatched at 8:48 and should be here at 9:30. Called a second time at 9:49 to see where driver was that was dispatched per their text at 8:48; was on hold 23 minutes before getting helped (now 10:11) only to be told that their shift change was at 10:00 and they wouldn’t reach my tow destination and be able to return to their base by shift change time so they didn’t send whoever was supposedly dispatched at 8:48; (why was that not communicated and I had to call to find this out 20 minutes after supposed dispatched driver was a no show?) now told it will be another 30 minutes for driver to reach me (10:45); got call from driver at 10:50 to say he’s still about 15 miles away from me (about 10 minute drive per mapquest) he finally arrived just now at 11:05! 2 hours and 25 minutes from the initial time of calling for assistance!!! And now the tow truck driver cannot be approved to go through the security gate at the secure aerospace facility where the car is because he’s DRIVING WITHOUT A DRIVER’S LICENSE!!!!!! WHAT?! How can AAA use a tow truck driver with NO DRIVER’S LICENSE??!! Are these providers not vetted before being contracted by AAA!??!! These contracted drivers are a representation of AAA!! This is so inappropriate!! The security officers almost called the police to come arrest this driver due to him not having a driver’s license!! This driver was from R&J Towing!! People beware!! I guess we now have to ask our tow truck drivers if they’re licensed before they are sent out to assist us when we’re broken down!! We’ve been members for 32 years and now need to look for a more reliable, communicative, LEGAL and timely roadside service! What kind of irresponsible, illegal, shoddy operation is this??!! This has been the most unprofessional, horrible service!! It’s 11:32 and the broken down car is just now finally getting picked up (if this driver is licensed and allowed through the gate) after a third call to AAA roadside service to explain why the first driver who arrived 2 hours and 25 minutes after the call for assistance could not enter the facility and get the car due to NO LICENSE!! A 3 plus hour ordeal at this point!!! This is not the kind of emergency roadside assistance I want to continue to pay for!!!!! At 11:49 the tow truck finally has the broken down car on the truck and in route to our home!!!!! Ridiculous!!!! Something needs to be done about this!!!!
Fantastic experience: Even though covid 19 is still lingering, AAA was one of the many entity where service was fast and efficient.
Negative experience: Hello! If you are looking for a notary, I'd rather choose elsewhere. I can't speak for any other service. The personnel at the reception was great. First off, I went one day and I had to sign up for an appointment a week later ... I went back there with a few forms. The notary that attended myself posed several minor issues while she was dong her job that were irrelevant and just worried me for no reason. The main issue is that they do not provide witnesses ('it's illegal' according to the notary). In my case, and with the COVID19, it is not so easy to find 2 witnesses that are not listed in the documents. I had one with me. I needed one more. I went away with half the work done, no advice and being treated as by the stereotype rude, state worker. My friend called UPS. There's one nearby. One notary only. No appointment, or same day appointments. Provided one witness, and it was recorded, so the story of being illegal (when you are in need, come'on). Polite, sympathetic, patient. Same price ($15) because I am not an AAA member. My friend is, but it's $10. I was a AAA member in the past, but I realized most people think it's great b/c they have not been elsewhere and it is sort of a brand. Thanks UPS!
Fantastic experience: It was great. For the same price I got LESS insurance somewhere else for six months, they got more BETTER coverage for the entire year...plus I got a coffee mug haha and the guy that helped me was really cool

Fantastic experience: Talked to Mandy. She got me hooked up with earthquake, renters, and car insurance. I am a club plus member and I love AAA. Very kind and courteous. I was in and out in a timely manner and enjoyed the whole experience. Very friendly, honesty and a pleasure to do business with. I highly reccomend. Ended up being cheaper than my policy with freeway insurance. I'm so happy I switched.
Fantastic experience: I was greeted with upmost professional respect at the door in which I was attended to the counter by Paula who helped me with solving with excellent service my car registration and membership renewals.
Fantastic experience: I like that being an AAA member allows me to renew my car registration without having to deal with the DMV. When I went, there was a line but they were organized, COVID compliant and the only weird or disappointing thing is that they DID NOT ACCEPT DEBIT cards, but that is not made clear on their website or even the "stickers" on the doors. However, I was still able to get done what needed to be done and they were fast, efficient and thorough.

Fantastic experience: !!! I highly recommend this location!!!! AAA is taking all precautions to protect patrons and employees from Covid-19. I have been a member for a number of years. However, with the DMV closed, I noticed even Non-Members can use their services. They are Extremely Organized and Efficient at this location for assisting Everyone!! They have 3 separate lines outside based on the service(s) you are coming for. Employees are outside to speak with and bring you all forms you need to complete along with a clipboard while waiting in line so there is no time lost. I was there on a Saturday and expected a lot longer line and wait time than I experienced. At this time AAA doesn't take appointments. It's all based on first come first served.
Positive experience: I needed DMV services and AAA delivered. Very well organized and they get you in out quickly.
Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Waited over 20 mins just to pay membership fee only to have them taking other customers first. Paying the memberships is the fastest transaction there is, only to be ignored.
Negative experience: Went there to notarize docs. Website and agent said 1st come, 1st served, come before 5pm. When I got there, they said by appt only, and couldn't help me until Friday, 1/26.
Positive experience: Waiting around to be seeing was a bit much - but it was shortly after lunch so maybe they weren't All back from lunch yet.. But service / once inside was as usual good and speedy.
Fantastic experience: Have seen personnel working through out the pandemic season. Fast pace service and easy way to do bussesness with them very prompt on the road when we need assistance , and takes good care their customer's .
Negative experience: It seems like Covid is the excuse again. I have had very few complaints with AAA in all the many years I have used them but today was the max. This Covid thing, which I know is very real, seems to have even caused the undoing of many businesses which I really don't understand. I called regarding a DMV issue. First, I received 2 long messages why I would have to wait longer because of Covid and then I got another recorded message that she could help me just as a human would...oh, so not true! She was absolutely no help to me at all! If it weren't for my appreciation of their roadside service, I would cancel immediately!
Fantastic experience: AAA always has very nice associates and does their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. It is well worth the memembership especially considering the DMV services they offer.
Fantastic experience: I had a great time when I was at AAA all I had to do was mention what I wanted show my card everything happens like normal one in told him where I wanted to go I needed a trip ticket they not only gave me the trip ticket but they gave me information on every state on the way and it after I got to the state I was requesting they gave me information about that state also I'm very happy with AAA

Fantastic experience: Came here to renew my car plates and it was the most awesome experience we've had in a while. Customer service is great and fast
Negative experience: Very disappointed in my visit to AAA today. Covid-19 has been around for 10 months now...have LARGE signs that tell people which line to stand in. Instead, everyone was running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It appeared as if they had never done business before.
Fantastic experience: That won't let you in but very fast service this morning. Got my INS card and registration all done ...less than 20mins

Fantastic experience: Friendly service. I recomend getting there early as there are 2 lines. One for membership and Insurance and one for DMV yes you can pay registartion at AAA.

Negative experience: Took my dad to renew his car registration... they had a sign taped "remember we only take cash or check." Is this true? Why would a company as large as AAA not take debit/credit?
Fantastic experience: great service mostly spoke to the consultants over the phone but it was super easy and I was able to talk to them later when I was not busy! I made it super convenient and I love the service

Fantastic experience: Best customer service I have ever received considering their equal to every other company comparable to life. Not insurance the reinsurance that if you need to tow they'll pick you up if you have the money.
