Positive experience: The resort was beautiful and the rooms were nice. However there were many cons. 1) Wi-Fi- it was an additional cost. For those with thier own data plans, the resorts "blocks" your usage depending on your "resort". My phone Wi-Fi always worked in the main lobby and in the areas of their higher end property. 2). The Food- shrimp scampi is not made with tomato sauce. Our first night's dinner was supposed to be Mediterranean and there was only one Mediterranean item on the menu, instead I had Thai shrimp. I would say that three maybe four of their 12 restaurants were consistent in their food. Dinner reservations was almost impossible to get even though we were told to book them two days in advance they were always sold out or full even when the restaurant did not look full because they wanted to push you towards their mediocre Buffet. 3) Service- so I don't expect my room to be cleaned every day in those instances I will put the please do not clean sign on the door but when you do clean my room I expect you to refill everything so if you take my face towel replace the face towel if I drink out of a cup please give me a new cup. So usually when I travel, I do not leave a tip until the end of my trip, and that tip is truly based on the service that I received. So my traveling buddy in her room left a daily tip for when she wanted her room clean one day she left a tip... the tip was taken, but the room was not cleaned. 4) All-inclusive- there are no snacks provided to you in your room or even at the pool. There were a lot of pool bars but no food and I understand that you wanted to keep the Critter population down so they did not allow you to eat at the pools even though they allowed you to drink to the point where people were obnoxious. So there was one little rest convenient restaurant that had sandwiches or ice cream or cookies but that was a walk so it wasn't anything convenient about that. So they were severely lacking in this area is it related to quick items. And if you went to the gift shop to buy a bag of chips which you shouldn't have had to do because this is all inclusive restaurant a package of Lay's potato chips was $17 that is absolutely unacceptable.

Positive experience: We stayed in the El Moro building and our first night was spent on the north side of the El Moro building and it was a Saturday night and it was sheer torture because they have a bar right next next to it and there was extremely loud ugly music till 4:30 AM robbing us of our sleep I'd do not want to live through that ever again. The next day we asked to have our room changed and we moved to the south side of the El Moro building and from then on we could actually enjoy our stay. That noise is unacceptable and it's not compatible with any form of tourism unless the tourists are totally DEAF! The other thing we discovered was that the room doesn't have any heating we were cold when we arrived from an eight hour flight on the plane and there was no way of raising the temperature in our room! When we changed to the south side of the building that was more sun exposure and over days warmed up the room! Please make some space heaters available for tourists who are cold when vacationing there in winter!

I explain to Nick that I canceled this upgrade and would like my payment refunded. He said that I cannot cancel until I've paid back the $400 Vida cash I used in September. I told him I was not made aware of this when I spoke to Juan to cancel. He told me someone called after I had spoke to Juan to tell me. I never received a call or voicemail and I told him as much. He said if I paid the remaining amount of the $400 today then they would cancel my upgrade. Obviously, I can't afford it all at once, that's why I'm canceling. Once I get this straightened out I am never using this company again.

Fantastic experience: Karina Martins went above and beyond!!! Our MSC cruise leaving in a couple weeks got cancelled due to maintenance issue with the ship. Karina worked till 10:30pm on a Friday helping us secure another option that would work for us!! We could not confirm it until we had secure different flight times so once that was done the next day, Karina again followed up with us on her day off and finalized and confirmed the new cruise booking!!! Karina definitely deserves a promotion! Her excellent customer service, can do attitude and persistence excels all other agents I have ever worked with!! So impressive!! Negative experience: This business has gone downhill fast. I booked a cruise and an issue arose. I called Vida. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a guy from India explaining every detail of my problem and the likely fix. I tried to talk to my travel consultant but was refused. I must document the problem first I was told. At the end of the 30 minutes I was told by the guy from India that he would submit my problem and my travel consultant would most likely call me back in 48 to 72 hours. What kind of horrible business practice is this? The 72 hour deadline came and went and still nothing. The cruise-line refuses to help and only tells me o must con tact Vida. Unfortunately Google has lumped the reviews for the business Vida Lifestyle with the reviews about their various properties. I think this is wrong. Don’t let the reviews about a sunny vacation distract you from the bad business practices of The Vida Lifestyles.

Fantastic experience: Ventus El Cid Spa & resort in Puerto Morelos, Mexico (just south of Cancun) was recommended by Vida Lifestyles travel consultant. It was a bucket list trip for me to bring my 72 year old mom. Resort was excellent. Short drive from airport. Room location and view was great. Everything is close and convenient and walking distance however there is option to catch golf carts for those with mobility issues. Food was fantastic, with great options at both buffet as well as a la cart restaurants. Lots of pools to choose from. Service was very good and friendly staff. I would book again. Also, the little town of Puerto Morelos is worth visiting for a break from resort. Very nice, clean, friendly and good restaurants. We ate at El Charro, just across from the super market parking lot.

Fantastic experience: In my holiday which was booked for last November 22-29,2021, Vida Lifestyle did not let me know that the hotel had been bought by Hilton and that the name had changed from "Grand Fiesta Americana Vallarta Adults Only" to "The Hilton". It was supposed to be adults only, but that also changed and there were families holidaying there. It led to some confusion for my driver to find the hotel. I had made multiple calls to the phone number provided, (which did not work) and to Vida, but no one seemed to know of that change in ownership. Thank goodness I had copied the address. We did enjoy our stay there and would go again, however it did cause some anxiety.

Negative experience: We have been a member of Vida Lifestyle for many years and would never recommend them to anyone. They sell you things and promise to help out if you have any issues. However once they sell you something you will never hear from them again. We have gotten taken advantage of more times than I can count. We have lost money and when we call to get explanations it goes into the black hole. The properties are beautiful but the Customer Service is the worst ever. Negative experience: The Vida Lifestyle — Company arbitrarily suspended account over one small disputed transaction I have been a member of Vida Lifestyles since February 2017. I have accepted at least two membership upgrades. All of these upgrades have been paid in full. In April of 2021, I used service to book reservation with Extended Stay Hotel Galleria Houston. The accommodations were horrible and hotel management supposedly agreed to credit back monies for the stay. After several weeks passed and no evidence of the credit, I called Vida Lifestyles to request assistance. Though I did not document name of party, someone from Vida Lifestyles advised need to resolve with hotel directly. Having already attempting to resolve with hotel, I initiated dispute with credit card company used for original transaction. Upon Vida Lifestyles learning of the dispute, this company froze my total membership. Vida blocked my login to a completely paid in full subscription without any notice, email, phone call or text. Upon contacting the service, Vida Lifestyles refused to lift the suspension, advising that I would have to wait until the dispute 90 day process was completed. I the interim, Vida Lifestyles has blocked my access to paid in full privileges and refuses to reinstate membership.

Fantastic experience: Iys convenient. However I did have an issue with my reservation to Pacifico in March. I had corona virus and couldnt travel I asked if I would lose my points if I cancelled. Fantastic experience: Well, while we enjoy the Vida experience, sometimes the different amenity levels are confusing or haven't been adequately explained originally. Then you receive one of these solicitations and hopefully get a sales person who will not fast talk you into something that you probably not really need. Negative experience: I am very frustrated with Vida Lifestyle. They take months to update your account with points, dollars or payments and still get things wrong. I have never had to deal with a company with so many inconsistencies and mistakes. Fantastic experience: We had a perfect week at El Cid Marina Spa Hotel at a great price by using Vida dollars to slash out of pocket cost. This El Cid resort is all inclusive and in Riviera Maya, near Cancun. It was recently expanded with a "sister resort" built along side. Both resorts flow seamlessly into each other and guests are free to use the amenities and restaurants of both resorts. The original resort is classic Spanish architecture - mission style, stone columns; while Ventus, the new side is white, sleek, and contemporary - but both are lushly landscaped, immaculate, with beautiful pools, amazing international restaurants, and provide nightly live entertainment in various venues. Fantastic experience: Andrew was very easy to speak with and he explained the options available to us with our needs & wants in mind. He didn't try to push anything on us in which we were not interested. He respected my request for more time to discuss the options he recommended so that I could discuss with my spouse. For this reason, I notated his direct extension and called him back directly a few hours after our initital conversation. Most other sales people in the travel industry will try to push you to make an immediate decision and we don't like that. Andrew did not pressure us and, for that reason, we decided later on to call him back and make the purchase. This is a lesson that sales people and sales managers in this industry could better learn. His friendly and conversational manner set us at ease in making our purchase. I hope to work with him again on booking vacations.

Fantastic experience: I received a letter with my Vida Lifestyles card and request to activate it, so I phoned the given number and spoke with Dupre. He was very cordial and kindly explained everything to me about the Vida Lifestyle benefits and how I could reduce the annual fee from $499. to $59. I had never pursued the Vida Lifestyles membership because of the high fee, so was happy to find it could be reduced. At $59 annually, Vida Lifestyles will work well for me. I currently belong to Interval International and RCI, but will not renew these when they run out if I find Vida Lifestyles works well.

He has explained more to me in the 15 minutes while we spoke than anyone else has since I purchased the property. He put it in simple terms. Fantastic experience: We felt the service was very accommodating and friendly. Guadalupe from housekeeping did our room in 1021 all week and did a great job. The property is very beautiful and well kept. The pool areas were relaxing and great for all ages.
