Fantastic experience: I love this cafe! Such a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy a nice latte and spend some time with some adorable kitties. I would reccomend setting up an appointment to get some one-on-one time with the kitties for sure.

Positive experience: I really enjoyed this place and thought it was so cute and such a fun concept. I didn't realize you had to pay separately to actually meet the animals and be in the room with them , which was completely fine because it's all for a good cause ! I got to sit in front of the window so I still got to see all the pretty cats ! definitely interesting and alot of fun

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend that everyone tries the Perfect Pistachio latte (hot or iced). Perfect amount of sweetness in my opinion. 60 minute reservation is the way to go if you want to go into the cat rooms. 30 minutes is not enough time to pet the cats or get cat cuddles in my opinion. Weekends are much more busy so make sure you have a reservation lined up or the cat rooms may be booked!

Fantastic experience: Such a wonderful place!!! A great model for other cat cafes, and staffed with great employees who are very invested in the welfare of their residents and adoptable cats. I encourage anyone who has the opportunity and resources to adopt a cat to plan a visit and potentially meet your future best friend.

Prices were fair and proceeds all go to helping these cats live their best lives and find good homes. And the merch was crazy, if you want ideas for how to promote your business,this is the place to go. They had paintings, earrings, clothes, mugs, and basically everything cat related thing you can think of. 10/10 would gladly come here again.

Fantastic experience: My fiancé and I were in Indianapolis for vacation and this was the first cat cafe we've ever been to and it was an amazing experience! The staff were so kind and knowledgeable and it was just overall a great vibe there. Plus we could tell how well the cats and kittens were cared for there!

Fantastic experience: Love the cat cafe!! I come here all the time and bring my friends and family when they’re in town. I just think it’s the cutest place and love what they do for the kitties. All of them are adoptable from partnered rescues/shelters. I highly recommend coming here if you are looking to adopt because you get the chance to meet them first. I adopted one of my cats here and brought my sister while she was in town and she adopted one too! Adoption aside, this place is the cutest coffee shop to just decompress and play with some kitties for a little while!

Fantastic experience: I went for the first time with a friend from out of state. The set up is very cute small cafe feel. The blueberry latte is amazing. I honestly want to back for that alone. We did an hour with the cats too. They are so to die for. So many adorable sleepy kitty's. Street parking blows but something else was definitely going on when we went. Otherwise the entire experience was wonderful.

Fantastic experience: Had such a great time here, the staff and cats are so lovely and friendly. Staff know the cats well and care for them dearly. We visited during zen hours and some of the cats were sleeping whilst others were happy to play and interact, so it was the best of both worlds. Watch out if you bring food into the cat lounges, cutie Red was very eager to try and get a bite of pumpkin muffin! I'm visiting from another country but I don't think I could have resisted adopting if I lived in Indy! Thank you guys for an amazing experience and for all you do for your animals. :)

One of them got stuck on top of the scratching post and had to be rescued, the poor little thing

Positive experience: We visited 3 cat cafes in the area on a weekend getaway. This was my least favorite of the 3 only because it was the most chaotic. I get that there were adoptions going on in the back room- I’m not counting those people in my count of the guests. At one point I counted 22 adults and 5 kids in the room with the kittens and seats were not even available. From what i gathered people were not being asked to leave when their time was up and more people kept entering. There was one gentleman with a laser pointer going the entire time and no staff telling him or anyone else to chill the kittens were chasing it to the point of frustration.He had the kittens over stimulated and frustrated. We left after half hour before our time was up because it wasn’t comfortable- there were way too many people without a staff member in there to supervise. One gentleman gave us rules to not pick up the cats and let us in but he was not in the room except for when he let more people in through the door.

Positive experience: Cute kittens and nice selection of merch but super crowded. No limit to number of people in with the cats it seems. While the kittens no doubt got their exercise running around not very Zen.

Fantastic experience: Took my girlfriend there and was awesome experience. Very reasonable priced and good to know proceeds go to rescue. Awesome place

Negative experience: My two friends and I booked an appointment here to come and check out the kittens not too long ago. The atmosphere was nice at first, and the kittens were adorable! Towards the end of our appointment, my friend decided she really liked one of the kittens and wanted to put in an application. While she was trying to put in the application on the computer, my other friend and I walked over to the cafe to get a coffee/sit down. Not too long after, we both overheard the baristas and one of the workers from before talking about her. They were outright judging her for only wanting one of the kittens, while she was on the other side of the room trying to put in an application. For the future, please don't talk about your customers behind their back, or while their group is in earshot. I felt super irritated for my friend who really just connected with a cat and wanted to adopt him. It made the whole business look really unprofessional. Long story short, I won't be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I am not from the Indy area but each time I have had to come out here I make it a point to stop. I came out last week and brought my GF and we both had a wonderful time. The staff are wonderful and friendly, the kitties are adorable and I love the art work on the walls. If available, grab some of the cat nip they sell at the counter as well. My cats love this stuff.

Positive experience: Children under 13 are only allowed in with the cats from 10 am to 1 pm. Definitely get reservations if you want to spend time with the cats

Fantastic experience: We didn’t end up getting coffee here because of our schedule, but we did enjoy an hour with the kitties! So grateful they have an all ages time frame so that my 3 year old could join us. She LOVES cats and is so sweet and good to them. I haven’t seen any other cat cafes that would let her join. So impressed with the staff and our experience! We will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved the time we spent at this place ! We went for a 30min session and enjoyed every second of it. They’ve got two rooms one for kittens and one for big cats. Aside from the cats we also really enjoyed the drinks and the cookies. I personally got the Chai Vanilla Spiced Latte and i felt like i finished it so fast My boyfriend got another latte and he loved his as well. Will definitely be returning ! We went on a Tuesday afternoon so it wasn’t too busy answering it was throwback price. Not bad ! 10/10 recommend

Positive experience: This place was so much fun. There was two rooms we could visit during our time there. One had kittens and the other room had adult cats. This was my first time visiting a cat cafe and I definitely had a great time playing with the cats. My matcha was also delicious. It just took quite a while to get.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome, the cats are amazing, the employees managing the cats are great. The drink (Chai Latte) I got was terrible and the barista had a horrible attitude. Threw the drink away after a few stirs and sips. Still giving this place 5 stars because the work they do is important, it was very clean, well organized and fun.

Fantastic experience: I made a reservation online and it was super easy. Kalvin the barista was amazing! They showed me and my friend all of the cats and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and answer all of our questions. The cats there were really sweet and clearly well taken care of. Negative experience: I was hoping to rescue a cat here. My family and I came and fell in love with a kitten. We were encouraged to apply and told we’d hear back in a few days. We did not hear from them in days. It took us four days of calling before anyone even answered the phones and told us the cat had been approved before we even applied. Very disappointing. Would not support this venue, and am actively looking for more responsible cat rescues to support.

Negative experience: If you are looking to adopt a cat, do NOT go here! I went with my daughter and her fiance. We paid to play with the cats. She chose the cat she wanted to adopt and paid the application fee. Then she heard nothing. She called the location for four days with no answer. Finally, her fiance called and reached a person who told him that the cat was already promised to someone else before we went to the cafe. And they did not offer to refund the admission or application fees. WHAT A SCAM!!!

Fantastic experience: Lovely cat cafe. The owner is charming and helpful and such a great cat person! The cost was very reasonable - $7 per person for 30 minutes. In fact we extended for an extra 30 minutes because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Lots of beautiful cat art and merchandise for sale. Many beverage options; we didn’t try any today, but they looked yummy. I did have the chocolate muffin and it was delicious.

Positive experience: Cute little place. Thought $7.50 for 30 minutes of petting the cat was high. Lots of young couples in the place. Should offer a "date night" special of $10 per couple.

Fantastic experience: Warm, friendly and magical. They also as the name suggests help an assortment of wonderful cats get adopted. My experience with deciding to adopt and the actual process was completely positive across the board with terrific, personable staff. Bear in mind, I don't think they serve meals. Their menu is more like Starbucks but better with all the loving animals around. If you're not a cat person, they still have excellent coffee blends to help you get through your day

Fantastic experience: I’m from out of town but I came here twice on my trip and I love it! I fell in love with Squidward one of the resident cats. The coffee was great. The gift shop was great the cats were soo cute and precious. I made sure to make a reservation and get coffee and spend on the gift shop as well since I know it all goes to support the cat cafe to remain open and get these kitties/cats adopted. Fantastic experience: I was visiting out of state with a friend on their work trip. I wanted to grab coffee before my day so I figured why not a cat cafe. This place was really awesome. I didn’t think the price was bad for the cause. The lady that runs it is very friendly. I went early in the morning this past Thursday and it wasn’t busy. I went myself and at that time, there were maybe 6 people that trickled in during my 1/2 hour. I went when kids were allowed which was okay. There was a baby and toddler when I was there and I can see why from the review below that they watch kids. The little girl that was there when I was there was jumping startling the cats, and a little loud so it was a bit annoying because the cats would be freaked out. Overall def check out this place!!

Fantastic experience: I just discovered this place a few days ago and I already LOVE it! So much so that I adopted two kittens! Everyone is super nice and friendly and it's obvious the animals are well taken care of. The best part is that the cats are SO friendly and loving!! If one is asleep, then there is always another one you can play with! They are amazing and I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is looking to adopt a cat, play with cats, or just hangout and eat some cookies. The adoption process is very smooth and easy and it's really just a great experience

Fantastic experience: I plan on coming back so often! Not only was my lavender honey drink SO GOOD, but the cats were so sweet. It definitely was better later in the day as the room cleared out pretty quick closer to close if you’re not the most social person like me! The owner was so sweet and we had conversation until it was time to go. Price was fair, cats were ADORABLE, and it was so therapeutic to go there.

Positive experience: Great concept. I can tell they care about their cats and do amazing work to get kittens adopted out. One concern was the odor from the litter boxes. There were several, enough for the number of cats homed there, but when I came close to litter box areas the oder was significant. The rooms were very clean, however. We couldn't enjoy time with cats at the time we were there due to the number of people in the room, some that stayed way past their paid hour that were taking up an entire couch. The only room left to sit was the back room where there were no cats present to enjoy. Again the concept is wonderful, execution could use some work.

Fantastic experience: I went to this cat cafe so that a visiting grandchild from out of state could get his 'cat fix' - cats are his favorite pet ... and I'm done with keeping animals, so have none! At the Indianapolis cat cafe both animals and their living spaces are very clean and orderly; it's clear that the animals are very well looked after. The staff are adorable, cheerful, very interested in the animals, and determined that visitors are vigilant about certain do and don't things for everyone's safety and best care. The atmosphere is inviting. It's a wonderful way for those looking, to find a compatible kitty to ultimately take home.

Fantastic experience: What a great concept! Familiar with this sort of thing in Japan. Owners and volunteers were super nice folks. Great fun for the kids and family. I would recommend 60 min vs 30. Time goes by quickly when you need your kitty fix.

Negative experience: Not kid friendly. We were being watched the whole time to make sure our kids didn’t break any rules. If the kids started to get excited, the older woman I assume is in charge of the place, would step in and scold them. They have been around animals their entire lives and know what is an acceptable way to handle a cat.

Fantastic experience: me and my friend went here today for the first time, we got some coffe and cookies and sat with the cats for about an hour. it was really fun! the owner was very nice, and the vibes were very relaxing. def will be going again, probably going to bring our boyfriends soon for a double date

Fantastic experience: Great place with incredibly nice staff and a very clean facility. I didn't try the food, but the person behind the counter was super nice and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place and will absolutely return. I love what they're doing for the animals and would adopt one, or more, if I could.

Fantastic experience: We stopped in on a Sunday morning to have some coffee with cats and kittens. You can book a 30-min or 60-min time slot online for a small fee per person to go into the cat room. Most, not all, of the cats are up for adoption! They also have coffee and tea drinks with a selection of baked goods that you can order. I had a seasonal sakura drink with boba and and brownie; both were good. Also, the interior is full of cat artwork, jewelry and other paraphernalia for sale. It's quite the eclectic collection and a purrfect place to shop for yourself or a fellow cat lover. The cats were so sweet! We played with them and got to pet a lot of them. We had one cat trying to sneak into the kitten room, which was funny I had to catch him. No problems and a great time!

Fantastic experience: Incredible little-known spot in Fountain Square to enjoy time with cats. They offer a wide selection of teas, coffees, chai, and tea lattes, plus a few baked goods, then an opportunity to enjoy them in the cat rooms for a small fee. The owner/operator is super passionate about caring for the cats, and it's clear in everything she does. They work with several local cat rescues to bring in cats and adopt them out, and have facilitated 1,700+ adoptions to date. The cat rooms are very clean and don't have any bad smells. Kittens are unpredictable, but they're accompanied by several resident adult cats who are friendly and welcoming. There's also a ton of locally-crafted cat- and coffee- themed art available.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and I went today for the first time. The cafe area is really cute with art and merchandise everywhere. The cat rooms are amazing. They are very clean and plenty of room for the cats to run and play while also giving areas for them to hide if they are feeling overwhelmed. The staff there are very friendly and seem to really love interacting with the cats and give plenty of information to the visitors. One of the rescues they work with happened to stop in while we were there as well to check on a few of the kittens and give them medicine to help with some very minor issues. We will definitely be going back when we are ready to adopt a new family member.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful afternoon at Nine Lives! I reserved an hour and the time passed so quickly. Even during the afternoon sleepy hours, the kittens were excited to play and the adult cats were happy to get pets! I had a lavender and honey latte, which was delicious, and a vegan donut (SO GOOD!). I checked with the staff about bringing bakery items into the cat room, and they said it was totally fine and offered a box if I ran into any sneaky food thieves. They even offered me a bamboo lid for my coffee mug when I was heading in for my time slot. Everyone there was lovely and I had such a relaxing and cozy hour in the sun-filled cat room with a delicious coffee.

Fantastic experience: Super cute spot, drinks were great. They have a reservation system, but were able to take us as walk-ins. We were lucky to arrive when more kittens were being delivered. Small issue to consider - clear the cache of people's names on the iPad used to sign the liability waiver.

Fantastic experience: Kelly is super friendly and helpful! We had such a great experience. My daughter was looking for a kitten to adopt. I saw an adult cat (4yrs) advertised so we went to see her at Nine Lives Cat Café. She didn’t want to come out and show us who she is though. So we talked with Kelly who described her personality a bit and she also called the foster mom to have us speak with her. My daughter decided to listen to Kelly. We were NOT disappointed! We took her home the following day and she just blossomed. She is a curious little lovebug! Total lap kitty who has attached to my daughter completely. We are totally in love with this little sweetheart! Worth paying the cover fee to spend time with all the kitties!

Fantastic experience: 9 Lives Cat Cafe was SO FUN!! The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and the cats were so cute and playful! The facility is extremely clean and cat rooms are kept separate from food areas and general lounge areas. There's a great system with the doors to make sure no escape artist kitties get out and the drink list is pretty extensive! I enjoyed my hibiscus tea! There's also a variety of items from all price points in the gift shop to help support the cause! 9 Lives will absolutely be a repeat visit for our family!

We also enjoyed looking at all the cat themed art that was hanging on the walls for sale by local artists. They also have a variety of other items for sale too. We definitely recommend this place for some kittie love. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful time at the Nine Lives Cat Café! I’m glad I booked an hour because the time goes by fast! The staff were all warm & friendly & professional. My strawberry milk tea with cherry blossom boba was delicious. Of course, the cats & kittens were adorable! And it’s all for a great cause!

Fantastic experience: We visited this past Saturday afternoon and were greeted by a friendly barista who made great drink recommendations and served our tasty beverages. The berry chai milk tea with honey boba was excellent! Then, at out appointment time, we entered the area of the lounge where the cats/kittens are. It was clean, well-kept, and somehow didn't smell "catty" despite there being about 15 cats in residence. The cats were adorable (duh) and were very friendly to the visiting guests. We loved our experience here, and will definitely return next time we are in Indy.

Fantastic experience: It was as amazing as I expected. Great staff, great drinks and the cutest cats. My only complaint would be that tye macaroons were extremely sweet, but the chocolate chip cookies are on point

Positive experience: I took my nephews there for the first time last Saturday. We had a wonderful time! The staff were extremely nice, the coffee drinks were delicious as well. The only complaint that I had was it was too crowded between the two rooms of our liking. The woman in charge said the max capacity was 16 people total, and I believe we were around the 12-15 mark while we were there. Unfortunately, there were many kittens we were unable to play with because they were being handled by others. Which is fine, but I would have rather come when it wasn't as busy so we could have done more instead of sit and watch sometimes.

Fantastic experience: If you love coffee, desserts and cats, this is the place for you. It was hot today and I had coffee earlier so I got a strawberry lemonade, it was refreshing! This was my 2 sons and mine’s 1st visit and didn’t know that they had certain times that kids could and couldn’t go in to visit with the cats. Also didn’t know that we had to have a reservation to visit the cats. They don’t have much room for parking, but we parked across the street at Goodwill.

Fantastic experience: I came here on Sunday and had an amazing time!! The latte tasted so good and the customer service was impressive!! I loved going in and interacting with the cute cats!! This is literally one of my favorite places in Indy to hang out. You won't be disappointed!!!
