Fantastic experience: Coat received had manufacture defect. Contacted Miyar and received message back within an hour. They reordered the coat immediately and sent a return label to ship back the coat. We received the coat the next day in time for our trip out of state. Excellent Customer Service. Highly recommend this business.

The usual order confirmation email came through promptly, then a day or so later another stating that there would be a delay in shipping. Several updates came in the next few days, and the unit was shipped in what was still a reasonable timeframe for the holiday season! The actual product was in fact brand new in a a factory sealed package, just as expected. Great communication from the owner of Miyar Adventures throughout and I would definitely give them my business in the future!

I’ve been looking for something that has a bottle slot And I can access my flies from the inside or the outside of the pack. These 2 features sold me. The quality seems good also. well designed. so many options that I cant decide where to put my hemo. I’ll figure it out. I cant wait to get out on the water

Positive experience: As soon as I ordered I got a nice message from the owner of the company that thanked me for buying from them. That was a nice touch. And I’ll admit I was nervous and became skeptical of this company because it took so long for my pants to get here. But once they did they were exactly as posted. I bought a medium prana pants and they are an oatmeal color and the fabric is very nice and soft.

Negative experience: Not worth the time to place the order. I attempted to order a Garmin Forerunner as a gift. I paid through Shopify who I've used for years. According to "Jake" there was a fraud alert, and to prove I'm not fraudulent I needed to take a selfie with my ID and show the last four digits of the card I used. One of the reasons they justified it was fraudulent was that my IP address was from Houston Texas... well that's where the shipping address was too so I don't see why that's suspicious. I sent a picture of my ID bocking out everything execpt for my name and the billing address as cyber security people recommend never sending your ID and photo as it can be sold on the black market and dark web. I said if that wasn't sufficient to cancel my order so I could order elsewhere. So back and forth for another few days trying to get confirmation they were going to cancel my order and "Jake" keeps asking for my ID selfie. I've said in every email that I'm not doing that and they're welcome to refuse my business and refund my money. It takes about 8 email and almost a week for "Jake" to understand that I will not send a selfie of myself and ID and finally cancel my order. I'm blown away by the boot licking I was expected to so and how difficult it was for him to understand. Ended up ordering elsewhere and found it cheaper from a competitor. Send the refund with a note that they suspected it was fraudulent which felt like another jab. Well Jake, I'm real and I've got all the screenshots. I don't know if this is a bad actor in the company but I've ordered a lot online and never been asked for this much from any company ever.

Fantastic experience: I needed a flight-ready carry-on for an upcoming hiking trip to Italy. Miyar had exactly what I was looking for, on SALE!! A high quality roller duffel/backpack from Deuter that is exactly carry-on dimensions. Even though it was offered with free shipping it arrived in only 3 days (coming across the entire country). 10 days of hiking and moving to different hotels every day in Italy and it looks brand new. Never a single problem at the airports. I disassembled hiking poles and was able to stash them inside too. It was even weighed in Palermo by check-in to be sure it made the requirements (it did). So, so happy with it and Miyar Adventures for carrying quality goods and for getting it to me in time! Grazie!

Negative experience: I tried to purchase a Garmin watch over six months ago. They cited me for some sort of medium fraud. I tried contacting customer service about this but they refused to talk about it. So I went to dispute it on my credit card company. Finally Miyar and “Jake” responding and said I couldn’t cancel my order because it had already been shipped. I said I wanted to return it and “Jake” provided me with a prepaid packing label to return the item. On May 18th I received and email from “Jake” saying that they had received the item and offered a refund or exchange. Then my credit card company reversed the dispute because Miyar adventures stated to my credit card company that they never got the item back. I reopened the dispute with my credit card company 3-4 times now providing evidence of the email of refund and return label. Yet Miyar is still claiming they didn’t receive the item. I have tried calling the company twice now in the last week to talk about what is going on. But no one will respond to my voicemails. This company is a fraud. Multiple people are having the similar issues based on reviews. Stay as far away from this company. Over 6 months later I’m still battling this as I’m writing this review. The company is trying to get me to pay for something I don’t have. They are fake!! ***UPDATE*** They responded to this review, saying it was missed by me but that is false. I saw that email and I provided that email saying it was received, to my dispute case. Yet communication between the company and the credit card company, ended up closing the dispute where I still owed this company despite this evidence. I had to re open the dispute 2-3 more times and write a review just for Miyar to finally acknowledge what was going on MONTHS later. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!

Negative experience: The item I received was not what I ordered but was a less capable version. Researching other customer complaints shows this same " Bait and Switch " theme and after returning their item for exchange or a refund, the customer received NO item OR a refund and all contact was then ignored.... so I will just keep my inferior product and deny them a FULL robbery. STEER CLEAR!

Negative experience: My order didn't come. 5 times i send a request about claim investigation- no one respond. I'm already waiting 3 days without any information- no money, no order, no respond.

Positive experience: Great products and pricing. Items arrived on time and without problem. Only one thing kept me from leaving a 5 star review: I really dislike the extra charge for shipping protection. In a market where stores like Amazon and Walmart have practically universal return/replacement policies, the idea that I have to gamble 5 dollars to make sure I actually get what I paid for just seems silly.

Fantastic experience: I recommend Miyar adventures! We went for a 2 day trip up to Mount Baker, where Josh (Guide and officiant) married us on the summit. Truly an unforgettable and personalized experience!! In the preparation phase we received several documents that helped us to prepare for the trip, both packing lists as youtube videos. Before the trip started the guide took some time to look at all our gear. Our guide Josh paced us up the mountain, making sure we did not go too fast knowing what was coming further on the trip. He shared his insights and knowledge with us and we could practice using ice-axes as self arrest. We were very lucky having great conditions, make sure you keep an eye on the forecast ;)

Fantastic experience: I ordered an Outdoor Research Aspire II Jacket from Miyar Adventures with rush shipping. The jacket arrived on time, and it was perfect for a rainy hiking weekend outside of Vancouver, BC.

Positive experience: Had a unpleasant experience, that took a few days to resolve. They were great every step of the way besides that. Have done business since and it's always fantastic. Pricing is genuinely impressive, and I worked in the industry for 15 years even with my hook ups.

Negative experience: Absolutely awful experience. I ordered a lead melting pot on 5/10 as they had it slightly cheaper than most and I added another item to qualify for free shipping. On 05/14 my order still said “unfulfilled” so I called and left a voicemail with no call back so I emailed and got a response saying they assure me my order is shipping out. Friday 05/16 rolls around and I get an email from Jake saying, “Unfortunately, it looks like we don't have the Lee Production Pot IV Electric Melter90009 in stock. Occasionally, products are oversold before our inventory count updates, resulting in this error. We’re doing everything we can to get more in stock soon. If you don’t need this immediately, we can check with our supplier to ask about placing a special order for you. Let us know if you’d like us to do that, and we will share the expected timeline as soon as we hear back from them.” I was so irritated that I just asked for a refund for the whole order. I waited a couple hours and emailed again asking for an update on the refund and they gave me a partial because one item had “already shipped” but I could send it back once it arrived and get the rest of the refund. I checked UPS and it showed that it was still at their facility so I shared the screen shot. Jake told me he would check with the shipping dept again and get right back to me. Well, no response and the shipping label was cancelled with no refund. I emailed within their business hours and haven’t heard anything. I’m going to call my credit union and have the charge reversed. Gained a lost a customer pretty fast and this “out of stock / inventory issue” seems to be a common theme if you read all of the negative reviews. I never leave bad feedback but this was especially aggravating, if I could leave zero stars I absolutely would.

Negative experience: I ordered a product that showed up defective out of the box. Which was no problem and I requested a replacement product. Getting a label and sending it in was easy until it actually gets to Miyar Adventures. The customer support is terrible and have to be constantly prompted to receive a response. I finally just asked for a full refund which was granted.

Positive experience: Main web page says to sign up for a discount for non sale items. The web page for the watch I bought directly below the cost of it states to sign up for a discount. However after giving all you info this item is not eligible—so why do they have it on that page? Order anyway and was sent but literally took over a week do get to the Midwest. Can you really ship it any slower with the USPS? Watch is cool though.
