Negative experience: PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IS FROM EXPERIENCE. Ascendant holidays, a vacation club sales company in Orlando, FL. My family and I were misled by false advertising and deceptive sales tactics regarding a vacation package, which has caused significant financial strain. During our tour, we were promised savings through a points-based system, with 25 points annually. We were told destinations like the Dominican Republic and Mexico would only cost a few points each. After paying 20% of the package price in installments over three months, we gained access to the website. Only then did we realize booking through Ascendant Holidays was more expensive than booking directly through third-party vendors. There were also hidden fees, blackout dates, and restrictions not disclosed during the sales pitch. We were never told that we needed to pay off the 20% to access the website, which prevented us from evaluating the package during the three-day cancellation window. Had we known, we would have canceled the contract immediately. Additionally, Ascendant Holidays made unauthorized charges to my credit card under the name "Holiday Club," despite me never agreeing to automatic payments. They falsely claimed I had signed up for monthly charges, and the charges were made more than 15 days after my bill was due. My husband's credit was also run without our consent for a second time. We have paid over $3,000 for a package offering no real savings, and we have been unable to use any of the promised "free gifts." We were misled into a financial commitment that is now burdening us, and we have been left with no resolution despite multiple attempts to address the issue. I have reached out multiple times through phone and was told to send a an email. When I sent an email December 5th I still have not heard a response back from the contract team. Instead I was sent a contract of over 60 pages that they did not send me home with. I was told they contract team would be I touch. December 15th I responded again asking for a following as no one has messaged me back. I asked for a direct contact and mailing address to send a certified letter. It is not December 28th and I have yet to get a response. They sent a response to the BBB complaint I made stating they would be in contact. Instead we receive multiple calls daily about a payment from multiple numbers and all have different names “holiday club” etc in regards to paying them. This company is a complete scam. I will be taking legal actions.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just experienced my second stay at Vista Cay Resort and it was the getaway I needed!!! Although it was nice when I came last year in June, 70 degree weather in December was great! I thoroughly enjoyed this vacation thanks to Isabel Hernandez, my Vista Cay Ambassador. SHE’S GREAT!!! She made everything pleasant from start to finish! Her assistance, bubbly personality, professionalism and warmth made this one of the best vacations I’ve experienced - and I’ve traveled a lot! Vista Cay Resort has a great asset to the Company!!

Positive experience: Vista Cay definitely feels like home. The convenience to the 4, grocery shopping, attractions, and food makes it the perfect location for us. The pools, hot tub, and the general quiet of the property are huge. The reason for the four star rating is because a few things have not been updated/fixed since our last stay in 2022. The space we’ve stayed in has no deadbolt on the door for added security, and the latch is broken as if the space was broken into. The bed frame in the main room is broken or nearly broken; the slightest movement creates a very loud and obnoxious sound and it does not feel secure. The shower doors are off track and there seems to be a need for more sealant in the gaps. Upon checkout, we were essentially harassed by housekeeping to exit the space even with an hour remaining on our reservation. She continuously banged on the front door and incessantly rang the door bell for a full hour while we made sure all our items were packed and had our last meal. We even spoke to her and she continued banging on the door and ringing the doorbell after the first and second conversation . This is unacceptable period. Other than these reviews Vista Cay is our go-to destination when in Orlando. As long as the critical feedback above is directly addressed and fixed, our four star rating will change to a five star rating, but then and only then.

Negative experience: • Shower nossle in second room had to be held the whole time while showering • Water was cold when taking shower when other person was showering in other shower • Trim in the bathroom was coming off • No dish towels • There were ants in the kitchen • Concierge screen never worked • The wifi didn't work the first day and kept logging us off the other days • We did not get an amenities welcome pack • Front desk employee gas lit us when we called to ask about it - he said, oh no they are there, why don't you check again • Never got laundry soap (which we think was supposed to be in the amenities pack) and we had to purchase ourselves • This was especially frustrating because we have a 2 month old baby who needed to have clothes washed often • Door out to patio did not have a bottom seal so when garden workers were blowing leaves and such, dirt and leaves came into our condo under the door • Top outlit in master bedroom did not work on the right side of the bed • No fitted sheet in other bedroom only top sheets

Negative experience: STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are thief, liars, false advertising and don't care about the customer all they care is getting their fees and money from you. THEY DELETED our initial review, but here is the second part of it. They called us after writing a review, asking us why were we saying all those stuff, well once again they just confirmed we are right and they are here just to steal your money. They asked to sent "a detail letter" and they would get back to us in 72 hours.... guess what, it's been 3 weeks (360 hours) and nobody had the decency to reach out. Oh but they were really fast to send us the cancellation document, of after reading it you are signing your life away and can't say or do anything against them. You are not allow to say anything on social media or anywhere, you are not allow to sue or get anything from any other law sue. WORST TIMESHARE, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM THEY ARE THIEF..

Fantastic experience: I love my vacation ownership!!! I already have 5 years using this to travel the world and it has been insane. I’ve been in Maldives, the caribbean, Hawaii, Europe and saving tons of money because of this. My kids have been everywhere. Thanks to Carnival for create this membership for single moms like me!!!! Negative experience: One of the biggest scams I have ever seen in my life. These people lie. They sell you an expensive membership and tell you that they will get you a good deal so you don't pay interest. Lie...!!! Don't give your money to these people. Any travel website gives you a better deal. Remember these names: Yaniris, Daniel and Bella. Run away from them.

Fantastic experience: Vista Cay was one of the best stays that we had. Our condo was very nice and spacious. Felt just like being at home. They have a pool and bar area. We went towards the end of the summer so the staff have games and music. It was very fun we and relaxing. Negative experience: timeshare situation, you didn’t officially win anything. you have to give them $99 attend a 2 hour presentation. My husband and I for kicks attended , listened intently and kindly turned them down. the rep and her boss ( some tall guy with bad breath and an accent) both became unhinged after being rejected. This guy is screaming and throwing his hands around and being really weird about wasting their time. Well buddy I thought I won something so imagine how we feel. After laughing all the way back to our car. We decided to further the dig. We let the top down and drove past slowly. We shall enjoy our 99$ vacation that really cost us time and emotional damaged after being yelled at for nearly 10minute about why we won’t give them $400 a month @ 17% interest rate for god knows how many years. talking to us like we’re idiots about some Shield where they give us $900 bucks back all the while showing us zero literature. Go have fun waste their time as they have wasted yours. If you are looking for real reviews head over to YELP. Also I see they use the ( we don’t know you tactic when responding to reviews. ) Bring it on. I have screens shoots and emails of everything. Wish I had recorded the Brazilian guy loosing his mind about not being able to successfully SCAM US. Left with my credit and check book un infected. Guys don’t be afraid to REJECT them and leave after you have fulfilled your end of the contract 90mins and go.

Positive experience: The service was great and Bella did a great job making sure that we were okay at first. However after we renegotiated our contract I did not hear from her at all. The shower heads in the rooms need to be fixed so shorter people can adjust. I had to wash outside the shower then get in to rinse off. Lastly, I was told the presentation will take 1 hour and I was there for 4 hours which was a major lost of time for my short vacation. Being up front and honest with the time would have been more appreciated so I can plan accordingly. Other than this I didn’t have major complaints.
Positive experience: We enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were very clean. The best part was the pool for us. They stay open pretty late so you get a nice night swim. I wish it were open a tad bit longer though.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience at Vista Cay. Very easy and straightforward check in. Mariola was available at all times and provided all the necessary information at all times to have a great experience. We were amazed by the quality, cleanness and comfort of the unit. It was just over the top, we were not expecting such an exquisite taste in the decoration of the unit. Yatniel was incredible in his presentation as well as Frankie, they were concise, not pushy and very professional, which was very appreciate it. Thank you to all the great staff of Vista Cay. Negative experience: Got roped into a membership with ascendant holidays ..was told it would be affordable unlike any vacation/timeshare presentations we've been to. Got our first bill and it was over 200$ a month. It's not user friendly and alot of things we've seen are older and outdated unlike the units we werr shown during the tour. There are fees on top of fees and doesn't seem anywhere near as easy as they showed us on their computer. Also was told by the manager to call or text her if we needed any help but never got an answer when we did.

Fantastic experience: Great accommodation and service. There really wasn’t a need for anything as there were many restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance. The entertainment at the pool was also great! We really enjoyed our stay!

Positive experience: We became members to ascendant holidays about a year ago. We were given many gifts with our purchase into the company. So far our gifts have been enjoyable and we cannot wait to go on many more vacations. The 4/5 star review is because I specifically asked about extra fees and was told no but I keep coming across more here and there. Also when I’m looking at places to stay they all seem to be far from where tourists would like to stay. Finally they consistently call my significant other first when the financing is in my name and we’ve told them countless times to call me and not him.

Fantastic experience: They are very helpful and professional when it comes to booking reservations. They even offered and paid for our Vegas flight and gave us a week special for Vista Cay condo which was a luxury 3 bedroom condo with valet trash and gated community in a prime location near I - drive in Orlando! We had a blast spending time with the family.

Fantastic experience: I am just beginning my journey with Ascendant holidays booking my vacation spots. I had received a cruise voucher for a carnival cruise discount package. When I called the representative to get some quotes for cruises , they were very expensive! $$$. I decided to use my cruise vouchers from the casino and the packages were almost 1/2 the price of the Ascendant offers. I am looking forward to using my points to take on land vacation spots with Ascendant. The phone representatives were very helpful.

Negative experience: Went to a bird show (just to try something new) and there was a big basket full of lottery scratch off tickets with a sign that said Win Me so we filled out information slips and put them in the box. There was no other signage or literature around saying anything about your company or what it was for. We had figured it was just a giveaway the bird show was doing. Strike 1: You weren't forthcoming with what we were getting into. I later received a call saying I won the 2nd largest prize package consisting of multiple vacation stays. I was told all I had to do was show up and claim them. I was told there would be a presentation that I could choose not to attend if I wanted to. At this point I still wasn't sure what I was getting into. We show up at the scheduled time (I think it was 1pm) and there is a line all the way from the door to a desk in the very back. We stand in this line for an HOUR AND A HALF until we get to the desk, with no opportunity to sit down at that time. Once I get to the desk they tell me I have to wait for the 3pm showing. I said I don't understand, I had a 1pm appointment and I was on time. They had no response for that. I said can I just get my prize and go, since I was told I could do that, and they said no. Mind you at this point I still don't know what I am there for. Very upset and frustrated as I work two jobs and my little time off was valuable to me, not to mention I brought along my handicapped uncle, we begrudgingly have a seat. Eventually they start grabbing people to go on this "tour". We start realizing they take at least 3 groups of people who were in line well after us. 3:40pm and we were still sitting there. Finally a guy grabs us to take us on this tour. He was fine, he did his job fine. Then we come back and he sits us at a table to give us the spiel. So we were basically being put on the spot to decide if we wanted to purchase something that cost anywhere from 12-91 thousand dollars. I don't know about you, but if I'm going to make a purchase that large, I need time to think about it. So then he brings over this lady. You guys probably call her a closer. She tries to be all bells and whistles like, and I say do you have any literature showing me your packages. She says no. I said I don't believe it. You're selling these extremely expensive packages and you have ZERO paper literature I can look at? She says no. Then she starts getting snarky with the looks and tone because I'm not just giving in to the purchase. I can't stand that feeling from a salesman and I was practically in tears with rage from whole situation. I REQUESTED again, if you give me something to look over and study, I might just talk myself into buying your product. They throw so much information at you all fast and furious like in an attempt to trick you in signing the dotted line... BS. You might have had my business if I was prepped in advance. Had time to look over what you have to offer and decide if it was something I would use and worth my hard earned money. By the time we left she sufficiently made me feel like sh!t and had ruined my and my uncle's entire day.

Positive experience: Everything was good except I feel I wasted my money taking my 2 year old on the cruise as he could not even enjoy the kiddy water area because he wasn't potty trained, although he wore a pamper and swim underwear.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Ascendant Holidays. Be very careful with these people and their false promises. The service provided did not meet the expectations set by their promises. Upon booking, I was assured of certain amenities and services that were either unavailable or poorly executed. We were never able to make a reservation because we found better deals elsewhere. I called and emailed several times to cancel due to the false promises made by their staff from the very beginning when we took the membership, and all they did was delay the process to wear us down and discourage us from proceeding with the cancellation. The lack of communication and responsiveness from their team only added to the frustration. I expected a hassle-free vacation, but instead, it was filled with inconveniences and unmet expectations. I will not be using their services again and would not recommend them to others. I advise against wasting your money on this company as I did.

Negative experience: Read reviews before you go! Honestly, the presentation and view of property was great! Natasha was very knowledgeable and we had a great time with her! It wasn’t until the sales manager or whoever he was came to try and close the deal ruined the experience. Very aggressive and rude! We went in knowing we were going to get a sales pitch at the end, and were honestly maybe considering joining but with his aggressive attitude it changed to an automatic no. If he speaks to me that way how can I expect for the company to test any concerns? Not to mention they made us wait almost an hour at check in because they skipped over us and then still went over our allotted time even though they said we would have it shortened due to our wait. If you don’t mind spending a couple hours of your day go ahead, but keep in mind you will get a sales pitch. If they know they will not get you as a member they become disrespectful and aggressive.

Negative experience: I purchased a vacation club membership from Ascendant Holidays on 05/19/24 and have been extremely disappointed with the experience. The vacation opportunities provided were not as promised and ended up costing much more than initially communicated. Additional fees to book resorts were significantly higher than expected. Moreover, my credit score was adversely affected despite assurances that it would remain minimally impacted. The promised communication and dedicated concierge service were not delivered, and the billing was categorized as a timeshare, despite the contract stating otherwise. I have attempted to resolve these issues directly with the company without satisfactory results. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision.

Positive experience: I gave it 3 stars because Kevin was very nice and conversational. Didn’t feel much like a sales pitch but very informative. The guy that tries to close the deal after him gave me bad vibes. Enough for me to not want to hear anymore offers. If I don’t feel comfortable with putting down 3500 without thinking and doing research on whether this is beneficial for me or not I’m not going to do and won’t be pressured into it either. Other individuals were very nice but after dealing with the other guy I was ready to go home.

Fantastic experience: This was our first time staying at Vista Cay and it did not disappoint. Check in was a breeze. A BREEZE! There was no signing lots of forms or anything! I walked in and out in less than 5 min! The room was clean and tidy. Supplies provided from soap to pots and pans! Pools were beautiful and big. Drinks were on point at the bar. Don't hesitate to book this place. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Me and my wife joined and became members of Ascendant Holidays in June of 2024. We were extended a weekend at Vista Cay Resorts. Leading up to the stay someone contacted us and let us know that are reservation was booked at we were ready for a great weekend. A few days prior to arriving we were contacted by Mariola who I believe to be was our personal concierge. She introduced herself and told us if we needed anything to contact her directly, she continued to exchange information with us and was always attentive on how our stay was coming along. Check in was extremely smooth, upon arriving to our room we found it remarkably clean. Had a little bit of issues with the WiFi and TV cable but the front desk staff resolved it very quick. The rest of the weekend went without any flaws, the pool was excellent and the pool staff at the bar very enjoyable and pleasurable. The female at the gift shop was the same in every aspect. We did not run into any hotel staff that you can say did not like their job, very professional employees and can’t wait to go back next year.

Fantastic experience: We came to Ascendent Holidays on June 23, 2024 with an invitation from a gifting travel agency, making sure it was not a Timeshare presentation (I had Sold TimeShare Ownership about 10 yrs ago ), since I was told it was not, they made it sound like a new way of VACATIONING so, I accepted.. Based on my pretty good knowledge in TS with RCI, II and exchange fees and all inclusive fees it was a no brainer. To us it make a lot of sense to obtain the membership, it might not be for everyone, but on our situation that my wife travel for her cosmetic business for conventions spends over $300 a night that have to divide the room with her consultant to share the cost and I love Carnival Cruises as advance GOLD VIFP Member (since 2012 been looking for some kind of Vacation Membership but for Cruises) and for a fraction of what we have spend this year, we decided to go for it. I WILL MAKE ANOTHER REVIEW WHEN WE GET TO GO ON OUR FIRST ASCENDENT HOLIDAY VACATION I also great full for the team member of the sales showroom: CIPRIANO, DENNIS, P.FELIX AND THE DIRECTOR OF SALES , I forgot his name ♂️, no pressure at all only different option until I got the 0% nothing out of pocket and additional incentives

Negative experience: Terrible Presentation. Our sales person, Soha got so frustrated with us countering her tactics that she said we’re crazy and we’re clearly the issue with their program. We asked three distinctive questions that couldn’t be answered by her or her two managers. Furthermore, the manager proceeds to boast how much he makes and this isn’t a scam. Good for you but answer our questions so we can truly consider. Overall, terrible experience. Once you challenge them, you're a problem and no longer a potential customer rather than someone who wasted their time. Sad.

Fantastic experience: They made the booking process so simple and helped find the best deal for a cruise. Made sure that we got the best rooms to help with motion sickness. Negative experience: WARNING: READ YELP AND BBB REVIEWS GOOGLE REVIEWS CAM BE DELETED AND BOUGHT. I did this because I was bored and didn’t care about wasting a Saturday morning: here’s why you shouldn’t. Heed the warnings my dudes. While the sales pitches weren’t all that painful (it was kinda fun actually I like looking at fancy resorts for hours idc) the “gift” and paying a deposit to even start the process at all is definitely not worth your time or money. You’re just going to keep running into new fees every step of the way and you’ll end up paying more than if you just booked a trip to some cheap Caribbean resort on your own. Take into consideration how much of the cost of airfare and hotels are being driven by taxes and random fees - those mean you’re still paying a LOT even without the extra $300 in deposits. Summary of deposits we saw before giving up: After you pay the first deposit ($100) and sit through the presentation they ask for a second deposit - ours was an additional $200 - to book. Even then you can only book for limited dates and departures from Sunday to Tuesday which is just not how most people travel. You also get zero insight into what you’re booking. Personally, I’m not playing a $300 lottery to see what roach infested hotel just to likely ALSO end up paying more in fees than you can book it for online. Don’t do it, people.

Fantastic experience: Vista cay - The Reserve was wonderful. The pools were so big, varied, clean and a great experience. The rooms were big and spacious and we enjoyed spending time on the balcony. They keep elevating the FREE VACATIONS- Europe 21 days, Hawaii Free + 1,000.00 airfare, FREE 4-5 DAYS at their resort, Vegas 3- 4 nights, all for the low price of 25,945.00- then down to last closer 16,595.00-brought in because they said last closer had to leave because EMERGENCY EXPECTED WIFE was ready to deliver baby - he left- (strangely enough we found him outside the garage parking lot chillin few hours later- so new LILLY CLOSER was absolutely rude, pushy, arrogant, ran our credit check, mind you we make $235,000.00 year, and credit scores of over 800 AND she comes back with we can get you 3,000.00 , Honestly, I told them we could just write a check for the total- After that I finally stood up , got my driver's license off table and walked away from this SCAM! TRUST YOUR GUT - IF it feels too good or if you feel very awkward or uneasy about the deals- just stand up for yourself and DECLINE- WALK AWAY!!!! Lilly you should be ashamed of yourself - However our initial presentation guy was a good guy Juan- kudos to him. The rest of this place was total NONSENSE. STAY AWAY EVERYONE...SCAM ORGANIZATION.... Update 6-1-24: Do not give them any SS # as they will OPEN AN ACCOUNT and get a Credit Card without your knowledge - I just reported them to Barclays RCI and the Credit Reporting Agencies - They don't care about you as evidence of improper misusage of personal information.

Negative experience: SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. Paid 40usd for my significant other and I and was promised a 5 night cruise once I attended a sales presentation which was supposed to be for 2 hours max. I waited 3 hours and then went to the sales presentation and never received any 5 night cruise gift. They operate in Orlando and upon reading other reviews it was not only me who was SCAMMED.

Negative experience: Staff does not value your time . They do not coordinate to attend you on time for a booked tour time . Sales representatives are aggressive and money hungry . The receptionist that check you in to collect your information have a rude demeanor and want you to sign waivers and documents telling you “it basically says this and this” but when you read what you’re signing there’s more to the story . Everyone should always read before signing documents . Do NOT waste your time attending for a promised “free gift”. Do note your deposits are not returned to your original form of payment they only are permitted to issue reimbursements as visa gift cards . Update: No resolution or outreach from your business via phone call nor email. They try to drown out or remove bad reviews.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at Vista Cay Resort, Orlando and it was just perfect! We had a 3BR suite and everything was amazing! Perfect for families w children or extended family! Full kitchen, Xtra large washer/dryer, dishwasher, huge refrigerator, large bedrooms w xtra comfy beds. Beautiful large patio! A 1 min walk to Publix and fab restaurants! Walgreens 1 block away! Close to interstate 4, direct to Walt Disney World, 1 mi to Sea World and a 5 min drive to Universal and International Drive! Only 12 min from MCO international airport. Félix, at the welcome office, is just wonderful! Greeted me when checking in! Very kind and accommodating! I STRONGLY recommend Vista Cay Resort when visiting the Orlando area!

Negative experience: First off they promised four times on the phone that daycare was provided, however when we arrived they shrugged and said they don’t provide childcare and their 3rd party sales company had lied to us and they were not responsible for what this company said to us get us in the door. I 100% disagree with this - Ascendant Holidays chose to work with this 3rd party and they are therefore responsible. We decided to just tough out the two hours with our cranky baby, however after waiting in line to check-in for 30min then waiting another 30min in the waiting room we were told that they had overbooked their sales presentation and that there was no room for us, ridiculous!! We were told to come back another day and offered $50 which would barely cover the gas for our trip home and another trip back, not to mention our wasted hour. So we got nothing for our time and they get a bad review and a complaint to the BBB.

Negative experience: Please don’t purchase a vacation package from this company. You will not be able to get a decent room in major cities. You will be pawned off to RCI which is a nightmare. If you like nice accommodations and amenities when you vacation you definitely don’t want to this company. They told me they were with Wyndham but they are not. Negative experience: 10000% a scam. we went to check out their "sales presentation", which was typical timeshare nonsense, to win a free trip to Cancun. 4 hours in, we were telling them that we want to leave and they held us hostage. Additionally, they told us that they just needed some information for a credit check, but they ended up submitting an application without our knowledge. when we looked into the "free trip to cancun", we realized there was over $300 in hidden fees, and no airfare included. These guys are degenerate high school dropouts that are looking to make a quick buck with commissions on credit card applications and perpetuity slave contracts by selling you fake dreams of a vacation. when we asked them to actually try and book a resort, they had 3 "directors" and "people from corporate" all try to book at a property they claimed to have, and it all failed. Afterwards, they tried to say "it was just a demo", but their scam tactics didn't work on me. I would give them negative stars if possible - their sales office needs to be reported and shut down ASAP. property looks nice though
