Negative experience: 5am I locked my keys in my car in 40 degree weather, AAA wasn't able to help for another 3 hours because there wasnt a tow available and at 8am i had to make an appointment. I was charged a renewal fee when I requested the service. AAA literally left me in the cold when I needed them.

Negative experience: My brother who's in another state was on my aunt's roadside service account that she had to pay $125 because my brother allegedly went over the limit of four assistance per year is what we was told but not only that they canceled her car insurance saying that she can't have a outer state driver on her roadside service and this phone caller from AAA this morning also said that if she want her car insurance to be reinstated she would have to pay $500 that she doesnt have cause she's on a fixed income so we went down there and the clerk said that they repeatedly sent her letters through the postal service but no such letter never came my aunt been paying her car insurance on time since 2013 and didn't even notified that her car insurance was cancelled until this morning and in office clerk told her she has to wait for them to make a decision if she'll get her insurance reinstated this is how they treated my elderly aunt and gave her a check for $48 saying they owed her after paying her car insurance since 2013 never missing a payment.
Negative experience: Their employees are arrogant. They won't even help you with any questions or concerns.

Negative experience: I canceled my auto policy and they wrote me a check that BOUNCED. Don't deal with this company. They won't let you cancel. It's a FELONY to bounce a check. They used to be good, but not anymore.
Negative experience: Pick and choose who you be lenient with. My friend used their triple a to help me cause I was stranded. The Hispanic man who showed up instantly had an attitude after seeing I was black and was very by the book even thought I can prove I have used this same service in the same area with leniency. I waited 40 minutes to not be helped and I will be filing a discriminatory lawsuit. Yall can’t make people be there sometimes and not other times. My friend was on FaceTime with a clear visible id and he would not allow it and when I said she can come he said we would have to reschedule another visit because it’s “busy”.. very very horrible and discriminatory service in a black neighborhood!
Fantastic experience: On my most recent visit to this Figueroa St location, I had the pleasure of being helped by Guillermo, who absolutely went above and beyond. He should get a bonus! I got there only 20 min before closing, due to a string of unlikely and unhelpful events, and was totally stressed out. It was the last day to renew my DMV registration before incurring late fees, and I’d just learned that I couldn’t get my smog check due to my car’s data chip being wiped clean after a part upgrade. On top of it all, I was told I needed cash to pay for the registration! I was a mess. Guillermo, with expertise and efficiency, guided me through the process - sent me to a BofA next door for the cash, while he walked my AAA membership renewal request to a sales desk so they’d be ready for me - which gave me enough time to get back to his section to pay the registration before they closed for the day. Then as they were closing, he took extra time to prepare a form for me to show police in the event I got pulled over before getting my tags. Whether you like a business or not always depends on who you interact with as the face of that business. Everyone I dealt with had a genuine smile and a great attitude. Real pros offering fast and professional service here. And I will sure never forget Guillermo’s kindness, patience, and extra effort. I will definitely return to this location.
Negative experience: As a member since 2005. AAA has gone downhill and they don't even care. I have auto insurance through them, the rates have gone up 65 dollars a month in the last 3yrs when NO infractions happened. I bought a house, was in a time crunch to get homeowners...wanted to use this company....oh, you gotta talk to Eric, he does home owners Transferred to Eric. No answer, no call back. Went elsewhere for my homeowners. I had no choice. Last time my auto insurance came up due tjeu literally told me I was gonna pay more because I didn't use them for my homeowners. I said I wanted to use you but nobody ever got back to me. Today, tried calling. Line was too long. Called back, immediately a woman answered and then hung up. Called back, a man answered, asked what state I was calling from and WITH ZERO EXPLANATION transferred me to a number that WAS CLOSED with no option to leave a message for call back. Stay as far away from this company as you can. Since 2005, I have used them 2x. The customer service has gone from 100 to zero.
Fantastic experience: I recently moved to California and had to register my car. I chose coming here over the DMV and glad I did! I was in and out within 30 minutes, new plates in hand. Lisa was amazing.

Negative experience: Dealing with AAA has been pretty terrible, their representatives tried their best but rarely know what's going and have little to no idea on how to correct an issue. My homeowner's insurance policies were canceled without any explanation as to why. When I called seeking answers, the reps I spoke with all provided different answers and none of them concrete. When I was finally able to speak with a manager, the only thing they were really willing to help me with was cancel my remaining policies. No one at AAA tried anything to actually resolve my issues and did not offer any sort of way to make the situation better. They have been the worst company when it comes to customer service.
Fantastic experience: I knew my registration was due this month but I didnt get it in the mail. So I checked with AAA and I was able to pay my registration and get my tags....so Happy!
Negative experience: AAA is no longer the gold standard it once was. Quotes are extremely difficult to get, payment methods are inconvenient, service is subpar, and their insurance coverage is highly overpriced. Simlpy put, dealing with AAA is not worth the hassle.
Fantastic experience: I went to this location to transfer the title for my new vehicle today. It was done very quickly without waiting long time. Very convenient. Also the customer agent was very helpful, professional and friendly.

Fantastic experience: First, let's say the customer service is a plus. I was greeted with a smile and good conversation. I went around 1:00 pm so there was no waiting in line. I so like that I can handle some of my DMV needs at this location. There is plenty of parking, and you feel really safe at this location because of the many security guards. My car insurance quote was normal, however, the deductible was high. I left my cellphone and had to return. The insurance representative had it waiting for me. If you need travel information, then they have lots for you.

Negative experience: This review is about AAA as a whole, not this particular office. I was left stranded due to a battery issue. They did not carry batteries for a Kia. I asked, if someone purchased the battery at Auto Zone, would AAA install it? No. I was told that they are difficult to install. A neighbor went to buy the battery for me and within 10 minutes, the battery was in place. Booo, AAA, booo!

Negative experience: I would rate 0 They had me waiting for 3 hours and 15 minutes I called around they have to arrive at 715 They have said they were 15 minutes away 4 different times and they haven’t even showed up yet I finally got a call from the tow man he is on the way at 715pm after hours of the customer service said 15 minutes and I’ve been with you all for almost 5 years so unacceptable horrible awful experience

Negative experience: I've been with AAA38 years. Must have membership for insurance. Keeps getting worse last 10 years. I had to wait for tow truck 1 block from my home, 8:45 to midnight. Driver finally arrived, didnt want to take the time to tow, or try to got into my garage. Wanted to leave me in red zone by 4 way stop. And his truck was Huge, 30 plus inches high. I assume he expected to get paid. Automated operators, not real people. Long waits over hour, gone are the within . I assume he expected to be paid.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service from Yolanda on the phone. Combative, rude, condescending. We had questions about our current policy and we asked for her to email us the info and she say "Why, can't you write it down?" We then asked for her email address so we could forward paperwork and she put us on hold instead. I will be filing a complaint with her supervisor too.
Negative experience: Be careful with insurance agent named Daniel Corchado. He will give u a quote at his desk. Then as you go to the cashier you will be charged an extra 10% . I spoke with his supervisor, Jovonnah Hyde, about this. She said that the insurance rate had gone up in since last quoted. Literally, 2 minutes ago. So if you want to pay more auto insurance. Get bait and switch. Come here Monday through Friday to get a false bill of sale

Negative experience: I recently called the customer service number to get a quote and was declined to get insurance with AAA. I think that was the best decision they ever made because I found insurance elsewhere where I have a decent premium. Beware that the insurance companies are using information they are obtaining from LexisNexis. After I gave information to the agent that helped me at the time I was told my husband had points on his DMV record and previous accidents from the previous insurance company that made them think our family were greater risk for their insurance company. My husband received his dmv record print out but only had one incident listed on there. I also did research and found out that insurance companies can not deny consumers the right to buy insurance even if they have more than one point with the DMV. The premium will be higher. I began searching for other quotes with different insurance companies and finally came across one that is working for us. I also recently helped a senior citizen who said her AAA insurance was charging her a lot for her liability insurance. She was able to get her insurance at another place for half of what she was paying at AAA. Furthermore I believe that our Hispanic community suffers the most when paying high premiums because they are take advantage of and can not do the right research.

Negative experience: The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, especially with a service I pay for. I’m shocked that Xiomara Rosa still has a job. I signed up for car insurance in January 2022 but have been unable to access my account for an entire year. I have had to make payments as a guest every month and have had no way of checking the details of my own account (like my address or contact information). When I’ve been unable to make payments as a guest - they’ve simply mailed a letter to an address in A STATE I DON’T LIVE IN stating that my insurance would be cancelled, instead of reaching out to me by phone or responding to my emails regarding my inability to login. Among other unprofessional responses, Xiomara repeatedly gave me the incorrect membership info to login to my account AFTER ignoring my requests for months. I asked that she either assist me OR forward my request to someone who can give me the correct information. No response for 6+ weeks at a time, every time. I contacted her supervisor (2 months ago), Bryan Zaragoza, by phone and email twice and have still yet to hear back from him. Still unable to access my account 12 months later, I demanded a manager’s contact information (multiple times, since she continued ignoring me). Instead, Xiomara responded with the phone number for the customer service line to “help me access my account”. Obviously it’s too late for that. Now, I’ve received an email indicating that my 2023 car insurance (which I did NOT renew) is ready for payment, as if I’d ever use this company again. However, I can’t access my account to find out if it needs to be cancelled. Service like this should be illegal.

Negative experience: definitely not recommend this company. The claim department never have people will take your call. when you cancel your policy, you need to call several times to ask return the money and it may takes about over a month,
Positive experience: Christina has a terrible disposition and demeanor. She is clearly miserable so she talks really fast, making it hard to understand her. Then when she explains, her impatience really gets to shine. How unpleasant. There’s four people behind desks, but only one person who helps with DMV transactions. This is the last time I’ll go to this branch. I will say that the LGBTQ+ person with the glasses and short hair was really nice.
Negative experience: Stranded for 4 hours and they still cant find me a tow. I'm literally stuck on side narrow street causing a traffic jam and they still made me wait 4 hours so far!

Negative experience: Very poor customer service interaction. Membership and policy obtained and then we cancelled within 24 hours. Found policy MUCH cheaper elsewhere. Have been back and forth trying to get a refund of prepaid premium and membership. Charging an 11% cancel fee to an active duty member. Wow AAA didn’t realize you treat our troops with such customer service. Cancelled 8/3 as of today 8/14 still no refund. According to Rachel at LA office we can expect her supervisor to review then issue refund in another 7-10 days. So that’s almost a month of holding funds. SAD business practice ** update, finally recvd refund on 9/5. Pathetic
Positive experience: A little miscommunication at first, there are alot of things you have to be careful about. Make sure to ask what your covered with like towing for example some things like that will cost you extra.
Negative experience: The worst possible help you can get I called them yesterday because I got locked out of my car I have 4 kids I was in a dangerous place and yet did never come To help me one day after I came back to the same place and called them again and they're still not here it's been over an hour and they haven't done their job what the heck am I pain therefore

Negative experience: The truck driver ledt me stranded wouldn't waot for me to get money transferred to get towed home. The office who i complained to saying i was dying of dehydration didnt care and hung up on me after redirecting me to 3 different people who didnt want to deal with me or my complaints about their employee. The operater was rude and interrupted me and ordered the driver to leave me behind in the middle of nowhere with no water.
Negative experience: I don't know why they still have this discriminative person working for Customers at DMV service. A Black Lady at the DMV service was so rude and cruel, I am thinking about Suing them....
Fantastic experience: I came into AAA for a lost registration, and come to find out it was suspended for no insurance which I called back in November 2021 to add on and the representative that I spoke with said it was added but it wasn't added. Then I called back in February 2022 and still the same thing. Fast forward to April 2022 when I need the registration it's suspended so I speak with Jovonnah Hyde and she clears everything up for me with ease, Which I should of done was came inside rather than a phone conversation..... But I just want to say jovonnah went above and beyond to make sure this situation was handled in the correct manner and I'm very happy with her level of customer service.
Fantastic experience: We love this AAA office. They make all the hard stuff easy: car insurance, VIN verification, car registration, drivers license renewal (unless you need to retake the driving test), smog certification, they can at least help with title problems too. They even have a great travel agency. And ski lift ticket discounts! You must be a AAA member, of course. We have maintained our membership for more than 30 years, not just for the roadside assistance but for full access to all this other stuff. I always go here first before going to the DMV, and 90% of the time, they can take care of it, whatever it is. Short lines, comfy chairs & travel magazines in the waiting area, beautiful building, friendly staff… well worth the annual membership fee.
Positive experience: Good location with a lot of parking. Only thing is that they do not accept Debit. You can get your car registration renewed here if you're a member without extra fees. Get insurance or if you want make travel arrangements.

I had to talk to a supervisor who did ease my concern. The supervisor explained to me how it works. Now, I'm ready if I need to go again and check.

Positive experience: I went to pay my brothers bill yesterday and they charge interest on monthly payments for car insurance so I was disappointed tho my brother was aware or it, he is in a Nursing home and suffering with Parkinsons and nearly can drive his car, they should be more considered of the elderly sick with this uncurable disease. WOW SAD.
Negative experience: I specifically told them to charge my card only one time don't do it next year..They charged me again the following year....I changed cards they couldn't get a simple request right.Also they kept wanting me to sign up for their insurance..I told them no .they kept trying to push it on me.
Positive experience: Nice open space. Several exhibits to see. Parking and building is enclosed within high walls so kinda feels like you're somewhere else and not within heart of LA. Good services. I give 1 less star because telephone service was horrible. Each time someone would give me a "direct line" but it all funnels to automated line.

Negative experience: Not necessarily this location is horrible, but the actual AAA service (or lack there of) is what irritates me. It used to be great, tows would take 20 minutes. Then all of a sudden it was a minimum 1-2 hour wait ! Once it took 5 hours !!!! 5 hours ! And then it became that there was no tow ticket on file. Wth ! They give me ETA, I call the service provider they told me and then they tell me AAA never sent them in any request !! Their service is a joke.

Fantastic experience: Cannot say enough Was here to do my DMV registration, the first time the (male)staff made huge mistake and because of his mistake had to visit the place for the second time, The second time I was helped with female (African American) I wish I remember her name she went above and beyond to fix the mistake that her coworker did, she was great and facilitated the process. Negative experience: Come prepared, bc get this.... they only accept CASH, CHECK or CREDIT. They will NOT accept DEBIT. Idk if this is the case for all locations, but it is for this one. Oh and the nearest ATM is a BofA bank half block to the right, or 711 1 block left and across the street...which is what i had to use bc the bank had a line for using the ATM that ran the length of the building twice! I wish i was joking. Was a bit off putting to say the least.

Positive experience: First time going to this office, was a very good experience. Due to Covid, a customer rep greets and prescreens you outside. The wait was not too long. I was only there to renew my registration. Another customer rep took my documents and payment and returned within minutes with my registration tags and change. And I was on my way.
