Negative experience: These guys are just a Bunch of Lazy Bums!!!. Slow, slow, slooowww, not presentable, not nice, make you wait for the longest time unnecessarily, they all need proper training for Customer Service in order to become helpful and efficient, should have some dress Code, etc , just Pitiful !!!.
Negative experience: My experience at the AAA office in Downey was extremely disappointing. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the place was dirty, overcrowded, and felt just like a DMV—which defeated the whole purpose of going to AAA for a quieter, more efficient experience. I waited, hoping it would get better, but then encountered a young lady with no customer service skills. She was rude and dismissive, didn’t greet me, and immediately questioned why I hadn’t completed the title in advance. I was there to register a car, with my son’s signed and dated title, but she told me I couldn’t register it without him present. Thankfully, I later went to the Wilshire AAA office in Los Angeles, and the experience was night and day. Carlos and Lisbeth greeted me with smiles, were patient with my questions, and made me feel welcome. They were professional and efficient, and really turned a frustrating situation around. AAA Wilshire is everything you’d hope for in customer service!
Negative experience: Over the phone, person sound annoyed and gave no options. I called GEICO, same coverage cost 4/7ths of AAA price and saved $1,000.
Negative experience: Called this branch cause i had some questions about my policy. The guy that answered didn’t give me his name and just said the department was closed and hung while i tried to ask him another question. I have never experienced this with other branches, very disappointing. Bad customer service.
Fantastic experience: This location is very helpful! I spoke to Dennis and he helped me register my car and wrote down every form I needed to make this complicated situation as simple as possible. I really appreciate his help and it made the whole process run much smoother!
Fantastic experience: Richard is an amazing instructor. He’s very talkative and informative. If you ever get driving lessons here ask for him. You’ll like his vibe.
Negative experience: I don’t get how this place has More than four starts. From all the offices I been around here this is the worst one. I had to walk out because they take for ever. I was there for more than 30 minutes. They don’t seem to have sense of urgency.
Negative experience: Really? When using a credit card you have to pay a service fee, wait in line on top of your membership? I rather go to the DMV kiosk.
Fantastic experience: I had my car broken when I pick up my granddaughters from school and I call for the first time, I been a customer for 4 years but they gave me a very quick service they were very profesional also who ever took my phone call was so polite and very patience with me I really appreciated their service I’m very happy with their customer service special the guy who help me his name is Erick Delgado thanks for everything was really quick service
Negative experience: 30 minutes waiting for registration service and then the person helping me is clueless with the paperwork. What a waste of time. This has to be the worst location for AAA.

Negative experience: Had wonderful experience with a worker who works with auto insurance. But the older lady who works at the front desk was very rude. Bad customer service. The young lady with long hair also in the front desk she was very professional. But older lady was very rude just letting you guys.

Fantastic experience: This location is the best AAA I have been to in Los Angeles county.
Negative experience: Normally we have a positive experience at the Downey office. Needed to pay registration. Checked in with one guy at window for DMVservices and a nice couple in front of me in line. The employee finished with the guy at the counter then helped the couple. Good, I was next. The line behind me started to build. The couple needs some interpretation help, so another employee showed up to help. Thought this employee would open up another counter. NOT. Now there are 9 people behind me and the only employee at the counter asks the couple if they’d like to apply for a AAA credit card for a free piece of luggage…..WHAT ???. They had to fill out the paperwork with income status like applying for a loan. When I finally got to the counter, I gave her my paperwork and asked why only ONE person was working the DMV counter. She said that they didn’t have enough staff and enough qualified staff to do the DMV services. I told her this was messed up and also gave my same concerns at the check in desk employee and was given the same short staff reason. This is our go to office. If this office can’t get their act together and train more employees to do the DMV services (which is probably 75% of customer’s needs), we will give Whittier a shot. I’ve also noticed that the Manager at this Downey office only answers positive reviews and ignores the reviews that should require some attention to fix the issues at hand. Sorry this is so long but I feel better now. Thanks for reading and a shout out dare to the Manager to reply to these issues and this review. Yeah right.
Fantastic experience: AAA is a very helpful place. All employees are very friendly and understandable. AAA has a lot of deals to choose from.
Negative experience: A worker from this AAA harassed my mother as she ate her bread in her car that she purchased at Porto’s. She had finished her payment at AAA and asked the security guard if she can park her car there while she went to Porto’s. He said yes since you already finished your service w AAA. So, a worker decided to harass my mom and take pictures of her car just because she was eating a bread from Porto’s in her car. She wasn’t able to explain herself because she doesn’t speak English fluently. He is so unprofessional and this will be reported. Unacceptable!!!!!
Negative experience: Went by to transfer my license plates and they gave me a clipboard and had me fill out some forms. Later a older woman with glasses and curly hair called my name and I walked over to her and she told me to place my clipboard down so I did and my forms was still on it. She aggressively snatch the forms off of it from the counter and I couldn't believe what just happen. Rude, unprofessional, I had to bite my tongue because I almost went off on her. Called triple aaa call center and asked for managers number and I called and she didn't answer. I left a voice mail and it's been 2 months and never got a call back. Never again
Negative experience: I will like to put 0 stars, this manager motives me to cancel my 5 year policy, she said that I need to add a family member to pay the registration, I always pay it at Whittier location and I never have any problem!!! Waste of time and energy we pay a lot for the great service that they used to have and convenience.

Negative experience: Should have just gone to DMV. Waited almost two hours for a title change and registration. Waited another 1.5hrs to come back with the smog check to get my registration. I purchased insurance and the representative asked me if I had a 4 year degree because I'd get better rates. I asked him if he could apply the discount to my 8 years of Military duty in the Marine Corps. and he said unfortunately not. So, triple A, I'm disappointed that my Veteran status for serving in the gulf War means nothing to you. So unamerican!!! Please change your policies!!!! Semper Fi!!!

Positive experience: Geezus this place is busy but as a member the wait was too long for a transponder. This place has a lot going on but at the same time members don’t get vip treatment. Maybe they are understaffed but I think there’s room for improvement.

Negative experience: Careless attitude, dirty and they do not value your time. It is not better than DMV if your only picking up a plate or plaque. Too slow and they do not have designated areas. Your all bunched up in one group.
Fantastic experience: This is a really nice branch. Porto’s Bakery is right next door. Great staff and insurance dept. Jaime Z was very helpful bring me a great auto policy. Check them out for sure.

Negative experience: Eleanor was “helping” me by telling me she can’t help me. When I asked her why, I don’t understand, she would just talk over me. Very rude. Not helpful and now I will have a distain for AAA in Downey or anywhere else. I understand she couldn’t help me but how about she learns some decency.

Negative experience: First of all the associate the check me in has zero professionalism 2nd the person that help me my insurance policy gave me the prove of insurance of a different vehicle and she said that she was gonna check me in for DMV after I waited for 1 hour I went to ask how much longer for DMV to call my name and the associate said I was not check in, I'm sorry but not as satisfied with your service.

Negative experience: Used their travel services for a vacation with my wife. The flight was terrible; there were two stops before our destination, both of which we had to de-board the plane; on one of those stops my wife's ticket was STANDBY, the airline would not let her board until all the other passengers were loaded and they were certain there was room for her. Some of the hotels were very decent, but some others were not good at all. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: I have been a premier member for over 20 years. I needed to get some documents notorized. When at the branch in Downey, I was told that only 5 signatures were included in the membership oer day. If I needed more, I would have to come back another day. Other, I could pay $6 per additional signature. One would think that after paying thousands of dollars for years. AAA wouldn't nickel and dime 5 signatures for $6. Disappointed
