Our comment from TraTraTravel about Kimpton Palladian Hotel:
The Kimpton Palladian Hotel is a unique boutique hotel located in the heart of Seattle, offering guests a blend of charming decor and convenient access to local attractions. Visitors often highlight the excellent location, just a few blocks from Pike Place Market and various restaurants.
Many guests commend the helpful and friendly staff, with several mentioning standout service from employees like Owen and Jesse, who have gone above and beyond to assist with issues. The hotel's eclectic decor adds character, making it a fun place to stay.
However, several reviews note drawbacks related to cleanliness and maintenance, including reports of unclean rooms and issues with amenities like insufficient ventilation in the bathrooms and inconsistent service. Some guests also reported issues with noise from neighboring rooms and outside the property, with thin walls mentioned as a common issue.
While the hotel offers a good dining experience at its restaurant and bar, prices can be steep for food and valet parking. Overall, the Kimpton Palladian provides a charming stay but may require attention to certain operational aspects to enhance guest experiences.
Kimpton Palladian Hotel: Reviews
Fantastic experience: This review is primarily to praise the work ethic of a man called Jesse. He is the new Director of Engineering at this property and he saved our travel plans in just his 4th day. We got locked out of the safe/locker in the room even though we knew we were entering the correct code. Jesse showed my instantly and the locker was basically corrupt/jammed. The master code didn't work, neither did replacing the batteries. So he decided to break open the safe, but that was hard enough. He then took it down to his shop and sawed it open for us within minutes. We had our little backpack in the safe that had our passports, computers, wallet and other valuables. We were in a time crunch too as we were getting ready to leave for the airport right before this happened. This man gave his 200%.
Negative experience: Stayed at this hotel 1 night on business trip. The next morning thought I developed a rash. The next day confirmed with a physician that I had bed bugs bites. Called the hotel the next day to report it, no apology or anything. The response was “nobody else complained or reported this earlier. We inspect our rooms regularly.” Moreover, he asked if I recall what room I was staying in. I said, I believe it was 311, which honestly I am not 100% certain. The person did not even ask for my name to verify. Honestly, unbelievable!!!! I don’t think I will be staying here EVER AGAIN!!!
Inna, I sorry that was your experience when reporting the potential case of bed bugs. While I am happy to report that we have had a 3rd party inspection and the room did come back an negative for any bed bug activity, it's disappointing that more concern was not shown at the time you reported this to us. Please reach out directly to our General Manager, Dale Johnson, who would be happy to follow up with you directly.
Negative experience: The room and services of this hotel honestly was good but I am very annoyed by their wrong charges to my credit card again and again. First, I booked the hotel through Chase Travel and all fees were prepaid. Chase gave me hotel credits to be used for breakfast. Second, when I checked out, I confirmed with the front desk that I owe nothing. A couple of days after I returned home, my credit card was charged the full amount of hotel fees. I called the hotel. The hotel told me those were temporary charges and should be reversed within 5 Business days. So I waited for a week but nothing happened. I called the hotel again and this time they admitted that those charges were wrong. They supposed to charge VCC (since Chase had paid everything) so they issued the refund. Again, during the call, they confirmed I owe nothing and sent me a PDF receipt via email stating the same. Five days later, my credit card was again charged for the full amount of hotel fees. The hotel somehow realized this problem and issued the refund again. A couple of days later, my credit card was charged for $30.11 per day I stayed. I was speechless to see the long list of charges/refunds in my credit card statements and this new charge. I called the hotel and they said this was the Guest Amenity Fees plus taxes and every guest has to pay. This is the first time I heard of this fee, 20 days after I checked out. They finally agreed to waive this fee and said they will issue a refund. Guys, if you don't want to waste your time calling the hotel multiples times about wrong charges even 20 days after your checked out , stay away from it.
Negative experience: I can’t believe the hotel management here. They refused me when I requested a refund to avoid the multiple drug addicts right outside the front entrance. The manager working 11/27/24 at ~3pm said no to providing ANY type of refund or assistance because it was against policy- what a joke. And then the front desk refused to tell me the name of the manager. Do NOT book here if you are planning to see family/need a safe environment or just want good customer service
Negative experience: AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS!! Checked into a room that was filthy and extremely loud (paper thin walls). Manager offered to move me to an 'upgraded' room and ensured me that they would inspect the new room prior to move in and they in fact DID NOT clean it at all! Hair, dirt/dust all over the floor and counters, plus a fresh coffee & dirt stain on the nightstand. Absolutely horrific - they should not even be in business.
Negative experience: If you have to work from this hotel you will not be able to connect to your VPN. And there is no desk in the room. Already went to the front desk and there is no solution to be made. There is one WiFi network and it is setup as such that it does not meet my employers minimum security settings.
Good morning, sorry to hear you are having connectivity issue, that’s pretty unusual for our guests! Please call the front desk and we can connect you with our support team, I’m sure we can get you back to work quickly!
Positive experience: Nice spot. Ate at the bar. Lots of sketchy people outside... feels a but unsafe
Fantastic experience: Great hotel and great location. Highly recommended. Service was great and the check-in and check-out process was excellent.
Positive experience: Great location, beautiful rooms, gym does the job, in room dining better than non boutique options in the area. Customer service can be hit or miss, BUT, Sam at concierge/front desk is a cut above! Dry cleaning partner Star Cleaners in Lynnwood is excellent.
Negative experience: If you valet here do not leave anything in your car, the hotel will steal it. Learned that the hard way.
Negative experience: BEWARE!!!!! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL WITH YOUR CAR OR ANYTHING ELSE! DO NOT VALET!! Last night I decided to valet my car with them. The gentleman who took my car was the same person who retrieved it for me. When I got my car back my belongings in the car were stolen!!! The valet/front desk person admittedly told me he didnt see anyone touch it on the camera before he parked it. And told me it was locked both times he got in it. However my property was stolen and no damage to my car so it had to be done with a key. When I asked for video to make my police report the manager told me he doesn't have to cooperate with me or the police. I basically paid for them to rob me. There are no signs or warnings and nothing said verbally that my car won't be robbed while in their care. I could see if a window was broken and it was a break in but this was with a key. My alarm was never set off. My things were in the back of my car and not visible unless in my car. My windows are illegally tinted so dark you can't see in and can hardly see out. The fact that they won't allow me to have video to clear their staff is mind blowing. And the fact that the manager Renee was so rude and told me he doesn't have to cooperate with me or the police makes it very difficult to understand why they wouldn't want to clear at least the employee who had possession of my keys. I want to warn anyone that this hotel is not safe and make sure that others know that they will possibly be robbed if they choose to use valet and the hotel will refuse any help in the matter even if they have cameras. The police said this is so they can not be liable they will probably just delete the video. DO NOT TRUST THIS HOTEL WITH YOUR CAR OR FOR THIS MATTER I WOULDNT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING. I would give 0 stars if I could
Fantastic experience: This place was so cute! The room was small but served it's purpose as it's close to so many fun activities and delicious restaurants. The ambiance of the bar and rooms was dark, older and a bit quirky with musician pillows/wall decore. Breakfast was delicious, we got the salmon benedict and the palladium breakfast which was eggs your way, bacon or sausage and French toast. The foccocia bread with dip is a MUST try.
Negative experience: Really, truly, nothing more than a gimmicky hotel with celebrity face pillows and dim lighting. Breakfast is not offered, and if you’re looking for food there’s a lovely restaurant connected to the hotel. Except it’ll be an average of $60 per meal. Really good food though. Worst part is this - for some unknown reason, they have a speaker outside playing music NONSTOP 24/7 all throughout the night. They do NOT turn it off. Good luck sleeping. Would not come here again.
Positive experience: We enjoyed our stay at Palladian. Good service, friendly staff, unique decor and good location.
Negative experience: My husband & I used this location to valet park for an evening event downtown. When we returned, my husband entered the bar to break a $20 to tip the valet, and instead of the bartender asking how she could help him, she snapped at him that the bar was closed. I found her tone to be off putting & odd, since it was barely 11pm & there were still patrons inside enjoying cocktails, but ok, whatever, he just needed change for the valet, not a drink. The other woman proceeded then came up to my husband as he approached the counter and said “what are you doing?!” to which he explained he was only there to inquire about making change. He was promptly told that the accountant had left for the night and they couldn’t break our $20 ans a result, all while she was counting the till. When he exited the bar to meet me in the lobby, I explained again to the front desk that we were trying to tip their valet and needed change, but the bar had been unable to break our 20, to which she responded “that’s nice” and walked away. This is not the treatment I would ever expect to receive as a paying customer, especially when it cost us $125 for a 4 hour valet. I was completely shocked and embarrassed to be treated as if my husband I were transients coming in to bother their staff. I will never give them my business again.
Fantastic experience: Great stay with an incredible location. Keeps you right by downtown without being in the mix for the noise and traffic. Rene that checked us in was very helpful and thoughtful. Will stay again and reccomend to everyone that visits PNW
Positive experience: The hotel staff was great. Hotel was clean on the inside. The restaurant was nice. However, I could not sleep due to all the homeless people outside my window screaming all night. Everywhere I walked to near the hotel (to include the exterior of the hotel itself) was covered in both kinds of human waste. The smell was overwhelming. There is also not an inch of Seattle that is not covered in graffiti now. If you plan to stay be careful walking in the area alone.
Fantastic experience: Interesting aesthetic. Bed super comfy. The suite with the bath tub is nice . Helpful front desk . The salmon breakfast next door is top tier . Only cons is the loading and unloading in the parking area is awkward
Fantastic experience: We throughly enjoyed our stay. The bed was amazing! So comfy and excellent quality sheets and bedding. We arrived early off our cruise ship in the morning. We were able to store our luggage while we went out to explore. They texted us when our room was ready. Well before 3. We greatly appreciated both of these services. Everyone was very polite and helpful. The location is perfect to explore anywhere in Seattle downtown. We felt very safe! I definitely would stay here again. Thanks for a great stay.
Fantastic experience: This is a Seattle downtown hotel appreciation post - Kimpton Palladian Seattle. From the outside with the older style brick facade, it looked like it needed a bit of TLC. Boy were we in for a treat on the inside! We booked the 1 Bedroom Spa Suite - it was beautifully decorated, the room was clean, and the A/C worked perfectly as we arrived on a hotter than usual weather. The sofa bed was perfect for my 7 yo and there were sliding barn doors to separate the living and bedroom. Although one side of the bldg was facing 2nd Avenue, where it have a lot of car traffic, the hotel have quality, soundproofing windows that you cannot even hear the traffic outside. We also got a corner room - even though it was not advertised, there was actually partial waterfront view. It is limited since the hotel is a few blocks away, with other taller bldgs close across the street blocking most of the view. I know this sounds funny, but we wished our own bathroom at home was as nice as this one! The staff were courteous and efficient, the iced water dispenser in the lobby was always full and they gave us a goodie bag when we said the summer phrase "Good for the sol!" which contained a small vial of their seasonal hotel scent spray so I can spritz it at home and imagine we are still on vacation haha. I really liked how this hotel is walkable to Pikes Place, Miners Landing, Monorail/Westlake Ctr station, the light rail to/from SeaTac airport, and the waterfront area. Another bonus perk: when comparing the 2 Kimpton Seattle downtown hotels, the Palladian was less expensive...we're definitely staying at the Palladian the next time we're visiting Seattle again!
Positive experience: There was a point where the front desk brushed us off when we called for our car because he claimed there was a bigger party expected to arrive so he couldn't help us. It made us feel like we were unimportant guests. The valet was very friendly and helpful. But the man with the glasses during our stay was less than helpful
Positive experience: We stayed here overnight when we attended a show at the Moore theater. The convenience was unparalleled for that venue! My favorite thing about this hotel is the whimsical portraits of Seattle celebrities decked out in military uniforms; our room even featured an awesome Morgan Freeman pillow! The room was comfortable, although the bathroom fan was so loud it sounded like it was on the verge of a breakdown. Parking was a big challenge. Although they have valet parking, the sign wasn't visible when we drove by (someone was parked in front of it) so we ended up going around the block a few times. There are only about 4 spaces on the curb to wait for the valet, so that was problematic.
Fantastic experience: Attended a work event and reception here. I did. I did not stay at the hotel. The service was fine and setting was nice. I cannot comment on the accommodations themselves.
Negative experience: Room looks nothing like it was worth ($500). Had an alley view, versus the sky and street as it had been advertised. Front desk skipped us to check in, said they would call us when room was ready (3pm) and we never received a call. Instead came at 4pm, and checkin time took nearly 20 minutes. The desk guy said "oh it's because the person before you was more directly focused" What does that mean? So because I was waiting patiently talking to the person next to me, you decide I'm not ready to be next? Weird service behavior imo.
Positive experience: Nice room. Comfy bed. Convenient location. Friendly staff
Negative experience: I booked a reservation for tonight about a month ago and requested two double beds. I never received any communication from the hotel directly or via Booking (where I made the reservation). Arrived at the property and struggled to find the valet parking entrance. Called multiple times without any answer. Messaged them and no answer. Walked in and Jesse, the person at the reception, was texting on his phone. He showed me the valet drop off and I drove around the block, parked, and walked in with all my luggage only to be turned away because they didn’t have two double beds — they gave out the last double room and never bothered to notify me or notify Booking. Jesse was not at all apologetic and simply turned us away. Thankfully the valet attendant was beyond kind and helped us with a recommendation for another hotel and with our luggage back to the car. The absolute worst. After reading other reviews, it seems the hotel tends to do this to poc. Shameful.
Fantastic experience: I LOVED staying here. Very cool vibe with great decor, super nice staff and great location. There was a free happy hour when I was there with a variety of wine and beer, not sure if this is a regular thing, but it was very nice to have. Just a heads up! If you want to use their valet parking you need to park just around the corner beside the hotel and go in to get the valet. It is $50/day and well worth it.
Negative experience: I purchased a monthly valet parking spot at the Kimpton through Spot Hero. The service over the past 3 weeks has been terrible - no one is ever at the valet desk, it’s hit or miss whether they will pick up the phone, the wait to drop off and pick up the car is often in excess of 10-15 minutes even when the lobby is empty. Today they left the car parked on the street where I dropped it off with the hazard lights flashing. Fast forward 9 hours and the car is in the same spot with a dead battery. They don’t have a method to jump start the car so someone is literally running (on foot) to Target to purchase jumper cables. I’m now 45 minutes behind schedule with no end in sight. I left a message for the General Manager but so far no return call. If this hotel can’t manage parking cars, I personally wouldn’t trust them with anything else.
Fantastic experience: I spent some time here last weekend. I loved everything about the experience. The staff, restaurant/bar, and the rooms were quite nice. My only gripe is that the walls are seriously paper thin. I was in a corner next to some stairs, and I just heard loud banging all throughout my stay, even at night. I also had some neighbors for a couple nights, and could hear them pretty clearly, as if I was sitting at a table next to them. They weren't even loud, just talking at a normal volume.
Negative experience: The Kimpton Palladian hotel is unfortunately exactly what you hope it isn’t. Sometimes with a historic building quirkiness is to be expected but there is never an excuse for lack of cleanliness. Here are a few examples: the carpet in the rooms is one you don’t want to walk on barefooted as it has a slightly sticky texture. My room had multiple hairs very visible in the bathroom - an easy fix in housekeeping’s final pass. The pillows had visible stains peeking out from the pillow case. And also the towels smelled of mildew. Actually the HVAC system was totally off when I checked in and the room always felt a little musty. Then there are the baffling details like the choice of an extremely cheap audibly ticking clock on the nightstand. Anyway, I had looked through the reviews hoping to avoid this situation so hopefully someone else finds this helpful.
Negative experience: I booked a room with 2 beds because my Muslim friend can’t share a bed. Called ahead, the manager Rebecca confirmed we would have 2 beds. Upon arrival they only had one bed. Wouldn’t help us get another bed, wouldn’t refund us to find somewhere that could accommodate us, so my friend had to sleep on the floor. Booked through my card provider and they have the recording of Rebecca confirming the room after she lied and denied confirmation.
Negative experience: Excited to stay here but left sorely disappointed. When we checked in the room smelled musty and we discovered that the fridge did not work. There was no bathroom fan, which likely contributed to the musty smell. The bathroom door was a barn door that did. It did not close all the way leaving about a 2.5 inch gap which means you can see in and hear clearly. Lot eattention to cleaning would have been nice. The rug was dirty especially near the bed legs. Wifi was spotty for work calls. The intentionally dim atmosphere was trying to be moody but overall came across as dingy. The location was nice, and close to things so that was a perk. Our biggest issue was checking out early. We called the front desk to see what is possible, if there would be a fee, when the earliest we could check out. They informed us we had a nonrefundable room which wasn’t true. They asked me to email them the confirmation and said they would call back. I emailed the confirmation and they emailed back saying they were mistaken we were all set to check out early and the difference would be refunded. I thought we were set, but then we were charged with a $250 check out fee. the nightly price was around $170-180. So that big of a fee seems steep. This was not disclosed to me in our email correspondence or phone call. Which is what I was specifically calling about. The information was hidden at the very bottom on the confirmation email. I feel misled by the team, and am very disappointed overall by the stay. When I called to ask them about the fee and see what could be done, they informed they they could do nothing as $250 was too big of a sum to refund.
Positive experience: Convenient location. Room was just ok - needs a bit more attention to detail in cleaning. Workspace is a bit odd with a small table jammed behind the TV - but it was fine. Bar and restaurant are good - although pricey. Gym is about what you’d expect at a hotel.
Fantastic experience: We are so grateful for the is hotel, and Anthony at the front desk. My husband and I came up for the weekend to see Jane Goodall (my idol) and everything went wrong. Traffic set us back an hour so we were late to the show, and then, we couldn’t find parking. Thankfully, Anthony found us a parking spot which really saved us. The next morning on our way home, I realized I forgot my wedding rings in our room, 2 hours after checking out. I called, and Anthony found them and held them for me until we could make our way back to the hotel. I will forever be thankful for the patience and kindness he and the rest of the staff showed us. Our dogs were also treated really well, our room was clean, bed was comfy, and it was a great location. Thank you! We will be back!
Negative experience: The location of the hotel is good. However, if you are traveling with a family, I caution you. The walls are paper thin. My family was woken up several times in the middle of the night by screaming from the room next to us. I called the front desk and they were not helpful. Other than that it’s a nice place.
Positive experience: For our first stay, and only one night, I'm pleased. We've stayed in lots of Seattle hotels, but this is the first time to the Palladian. We'll be back!
Fantastic experience: Perfect in all aspects so far. I really liked the room decor, it was spacious and clean. Some noise from being in the center but not something crazy given that I’m on the 9th floor. Service polite and quick
Positive experience: The Palladian is a hotel with a bit of personality in the downtown of Seattle. Rooms are clean, and relatively quiet despite the location. The hotel bar and restaurants (or the ones in the building) look nice but seem to have non predictable hours -- closing more than an hour earlier than their posted times.
Positive experience: It was a really nice hotel the rooms were a bit outdated. Great customer service. It was a really good vallet service. Their bar though was really overprised and I got a horrible drink. My white russian was twenty one dollars and it just tastes like Alcohol.
Fantastic experience: nice classic feel rooms. had a scrap of charm. a bit with the homeless and unfortunate in that block but not bad
Negative experience: Seattle is one of my favorite cities of all time, and for a time, I really enjoyed Kimpton hotel getaways in this busy city. But this hotel is quite literally a mess. First and foremost, it’s not a particularly clean hotel. The tile and water facets in the bathroom are old and dirty, the floors look like they haven’t been swept, and the wardrobe had a layer of dust on it. The shower is horribly designed (in our “spa room”) and the water temperature and pressure are completely inconsistent and will absolutely burn or freeze you. It also randomly leaks in the night and drops a bunch of water from the shower head. The phone hardly works, the TV has very few channels, and all the movies cost money. The duvet doesn’t even have a cover and there’s no fitted sheet, the duvet just has a bunch of flat top sheets sandwiching it. The pillows don’t fit in the pillowcases. The valet is $52/per night and parking is a nightmare. They will not hesitate to nickel and dime you for everything. Water in the room is $5 and $8. There’s no microwave. Walls are thin and there’s plenty of ruckus. We got charged over a hundred in room fees even though I booked our room with travel points. When I messaged downstairs on their websites “convenient messaging service”, no one ever responded. I was NOT impressed. Don’t stay here! It’s not worth the eclectic decor or the location near pikes place. Stay somewhere else!
Positive experience: While the hotel staff and location were great, the room had a barn door for the bathroom, meaning if you aren't alone, you got to hear every bathroom trip anyone made. Otherwise, beds were comfy, valet service was quick and efficient. Front desk folks were very helpful and lovely.
Fantastic experience: Very nice location, clean modern rooms. It has a very funky unique theme of different celebrities styled as period war generals / lords.
Negative experience: The hotel was fine. Good location, but hard to find parking, and I couldn't bring myself to pay $50 for valet parking. The part that I really didn't like was that they added charges for the mini bar when we didn't use it and didn't send a receipt for it either. It felt pretty sneaky. They did refund the charges when I called without any questions, which makes me wonder if this is common practice.
Fantastic experience: stayed here on a business trip. i love the themed and the "paintings " of celebs in old Nautical themes. although my room had a constant humming that was not from being directly next to the elevator shaft, it was great.
Fantastic experience: Loved the rooms, the bathroom, brass hardware and the happy hour. Beautiful and fun. Would totally stay here again!
Fantastic experience: Great location, service, and room suited our needs. Additionally, the decor was quite fitting for being DT Seattle. If you do stay here, be sure to visit Roccos a block away for the best pizza, ever.
Thank you so much for staying with us. So glad you enjoyed the decor especially Frazier and Dave Matthews. We agree, Roccos is awesome.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding service staff, clean, well cared for Hotel. Restaurant and bar included. Worth every dime.
Aw thank you Russell! We appreciate your kind words about our staff and your experience. Come back soon!
Fantastic experience: Loved this hotel The staff was the best So attentive Special shout-out to Owen at the front desk and to Rick in the restaurant They both went above and beyond to provide us with great info about the city and recommendations The food in the restaurant was delicious Enjoyed the free happy hour in the lobby Room and hotel had fun eclectic decor that made our stay special Location was perfect Would definitely stay here again
Wow you made us blush. We are lucky to have Owen and Rick on our team. So glad you enjoyed yourself at the Kimpton Palladian Hotel. Please come back soon!
Negative experience: The hotel is fine but has some major issues. The good: The overall design of the hotel blends well. I like the quirky aesthetic they have going on here. Service is great, gave me a call to ask if the room was good to go and if I needed anything, and made me aware of some maintenance happening with the water. The bed is very comfortable aside from the pillows. Price was fine for the area we are in and distance to everything is nice. The bad: The biggest problem I have is the horrible AC. Room gets plenty cool, yes, but is it LOUD, HIGH PITCHED, and constantly changing. It is a constant, unending drone that does not stop unless you turn the AC off entirely. If I did not have a very good noise machine I would not be able to sleep here, but even that struggled to overide the noise. I was told it was because "it's old" but that is not an excuse. You charge a lot of money for these rooms, I expect you to do the bare minimum that every Motel 6 and Holiday Inn is able to pull off. If this issue was fixed this would easily be a 4/5 and a recommendation despite the quirks written below. The bathroom has some major design flaws. The shower has no sliding door, it is just covered half way with glass. This means you cannot turn the shower on without standing in the shower already and getting blasted with ice cold water. When you are in the shower, since there is just an open gap a load of water splashes out, and cold air comes right back in. The bathroom door is a sliding door that is loud to open (good luck not waking sleeping people up when you use it at night), has gaps in the sides, and no lock. Toilet and sink are fine. The windows might as well be open for how much noise they let in. There are also some garbage hidden charges BOTH when you sign in and sign out, hundreds of dollars total. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel over the multitude of others in the area. It's a big city with many options so if you plan far enough ahead, you should be able to find something better around the same price. Choosing this over another could mean absolutely sleepless nights.
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. I assure you that is not the norm for our guests at the Palladian Hotel. I'd love to connect with you personally regarding your stay to see if we can somehow make it up to you. You can reach me directly at [email protected]. Thank you for considering.
Fantastic experience: You get what you pay for. The accommodations were luxurious with a bottle of wine waiting for us w a hand written note. It helps that nepotism got us this great room. Thanks Hill. The staff was very attentive and stored our luggage while we toured Seattle before our cruise in the afternoon. They were kind enough to store our luggage a week later when we returned. It's only a short 2 block walk to Puke Place Market where you can see the fishmongers toss those fish. Sitting in the lobby I noticed everyone getting great service. You will love your stay at the Palladian.
David, thank you so much! We appreciate you staying at the Palladian. We are BIG fans of Hill around here. Come back soon please!
Fantastic experience: Terrific hotel in a beautiful city. Great bar, gym, restaurant. Lobby is eclectic, rooms are fun, and most importantly the bed was soft and super comfortable. Loved the staff. Real and helpful. Yoga mat in the closet was a nice little touch. Will definitely stay again.
Thank you Scott for staying with us and for your review. We appreciate your feedback and look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Negative experience: I stayed for 3 nights and had pretty awful experience. Thought it’s 4 stars hotel but the room had sharp noise throughout the whole day/night. Called the customer service and requested them to check or if I can switch the room, there was nothing done. The second night I asked again and they told me it’s the old HAVC system making noise so asked me to lower the fan. I followed, nothing helpful, and it’d be too hot and stuffy if no AC running. So then they just not able to provide me a room to swap. I stayed 3 nights there and not a single night I could fall asleep, also, their window doesn’t help outside noise, I can hear every car passing by. I’m not going again.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm so sorry about your experience. I'd very much like to learn more. Please email me at [email protected]. Thank you.
Fantastic experience: Very awesome and unique experience. WiFi was great as a Klimpton rewards member. One of the best concierge services I have personally ever experienced. Would give 6/5 stars if I could.
Man! If we could take the extra credit we would! The team loved seeing the 6/5 rating and wants you to come back so we can keep the streak alive! Hope to see you soon and don't forget to make time for our evening social hour, we've added a new component, draft beer! Ben Thiele General Manager - Kimpton Palladian
Positive experience: Whoever thought the bathroom sliding door design was a good idea should no longer be employed. The doors have near an inch of space between the wall and the door even with the piss poor padding they put on them. The doors are barely even held together and any and ALL sound passes through. The bathroom also don't have functioning fans either to pull humidity out of the room. Everything else was great about this hotel but not feeling like I had any privacy while in the restroom was a gigantic letdown.
We appreciate your feedback and are working on a solution to the bathroom doors. We understand the value of privacy in the bathroom, I do hope you will give us another chance next time you are in Seattle.
Positive experience: This IHG hotel feels like a boutique hotel. The unique, spacious rooms are beautifully decorated. Our room even had a claw-footed soaking tub. The staff is helpful (thanks Adam!) and the restaurant next door, Shaker+Spear, is really good but a little pricey. Easy walk to Pike Place Market.
Thank you so much for staying with us. We are so glad you enjoyed the hotel and the location. The claw-footed tub is a guest favorite!
Fantastic experience: Had a good stay. The downsides were not related to the hotel, but their restaurant and the Lyft I summoned showing up around the corner. Room was quiet and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Thank you so much John! I'm sorry to hear about your Lyft. I do hope we get the chance to welcome you back soon.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful and stylish hotel near Pikes Public Market. We really appreciated the early check-in when our flight came in early morning. There are two very nice bars and restaurant. I highly recommend.
Thank you Trixie, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us!
Fantastic experience: This hotels awesome. Front desk receptionist Owen is the best. There is nothing he did not help us with. He was totally great and friendly!! He made out stay more than just a five star review.
Aw thank you so much for shout out for Owen! He's the best and we are so lucky to have him. Thank you for staying with us and we hope we get the chance to welcome you back again soon.
Fantastic experience: Really stylish hotel in the heart of the city. We had a great stay. My baby was a huge fan of the Keanu Reeves pillow :D
Thank you so much for staying with us and leaving a review. The celebrity pillows are so fun and Keanu is one of our favorites. Come back and visit us next time you head to Seattle!
Fantastic experience: Cute little hotel. Great location. Comfortable beds. Nice little treats available in the lobby at different times of day. Wine, hot chocolate, flavored water, and coffee.
Thank you so much for staying with us. We hope we get the chance to welcome you back soon.
Negative experience: Do NOT stay here - the staff were rude and unhelpful. Rooms were not tidy. Bar on main floor played music to weee hours of the night. Do not waste your money unless you want to not sleep #sleeplessinseattle
I truly am sorry about the experience you encountered. My team did their best to control the situation and I’m glad we could find you an additional complimentary room for that night as well as offer breakfast and waive the guest amenity fee. As mentioned before, I'd love the opportunity to invite you back to the hotel to allow you to experience the service the Palladian is so well known for. Please let me know if I can book a future stay with us so that you can enjoy a restful and relaxing stay.
Positive experience: Stayed for 2 nights over the NY holiday and booked a special rate including valet parking and $25 food/beverage per day credit. When we arrived parking was directly on the busy side street and they said valet was full and that we would have to park in a parking garage down the street and pay. This was very frustrating. Then the second day the bar and restaurant were closed so we were unable to use one of the F&B credits. Also no coffee even kerig offering in our room. The location was pretty nice and close to Pike place but on the edge of a few sketchy blocks. Overall the rooms were clean and the hotel had a vintage character vibe but wouldn’t stay here again for the price and service we received.
Thank you Georgia for your feedback. I'm so sorry about the experience you had. I would love to invite you back for a future stay. Please email me [email protected] if interested in giving us another shot.
Fantastic experience: We recently stayed for Christmas Eve and we had such a great time. We loved our suite and the added room for the kids. The kids absolutely loved their tub in the shower. The beds were so comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect. So much to do or see nearby! The staff was super helpful and kind. Everything was really great!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We hope we get the chance to welcome you and your family back. The tubs ARE great for the kiddos.
Fantastic experience: Awesome location, just a couple blocks from Pike market and just a few blocks to the 1 light rail for a 35 minute trip to the airport. The room was great, had everything you need. The king bed was very comfortable. Owen, the front desk agent, was helpful and efficient for an easy check-in. The bathroom felt clean and recently updated with an open standing shower that felt luxurious. Wifi was free and fast. Will definitely look to stay again!
Aw we love Owen! Thank you for recognizing him. We can't wait to welcome you back.
Negative experience: Paper thin walls. I heard every word of the conversation between my neighbors on both sides. (I learned they are going to the movies tomorrow and that they thought the Space Needle is overrated). Additionally, one of my towels had a large brown/yellow stain in the middle of it and the bathrooms having no vent or fan made the entire room extremely humid since the windows don’t open. The heater and air also make a very weird ringing noise (fortunately it was mostly drowned out by the conversations of the rooms around mine.) The blinds also do not adequately provide blackout conditions in the room which I thought was standard in hotels. Design-wise, feels like a hotel where Joseph Gordon Levitt would take Zooey Deschanel in 500 days of summer—something that was very trendy in 2009 and now it’s just kind of tragically uncool? I came for some work stuff and the desk area in the room is extremely uncomfortable and there’s not really anywhere else to work. The hotel staff is amazing and everyone worked hard to make my stay as great as possible but if you can’t sleep well in a room four nights in a row, it doesn’t really matter how nice everyone is about it. I feel bad leaving a review like this because they really tried to help and everyone was nice, but I had a bad time at this hotel. I don’t want my room to be loud, bright, and humid. I also don’t like feeling like I have no privacy. If I can hear my neighbors, they can hear my calls and conversations as well. The location is great and the staff is really nice and helpful. The hotel and its amenities are the reason I will never come back and I will never recommend it to anyone.
Gabe, I'm so sorry for the experience you had with us. The Palladian Hotel was built in 1909 and as a historic building noise does easily carry. As for the stain on the towels that is unacceptable and one of the many reasons why we recently changed our laundry vendor. Please email me at [email protected] if you'd like to give us another shot next time you are in Seattle. Thank you.
Positive experience: I love the Kimpton approach of doing something funky in a renovated building. This one is halfway there compared to their other properties. The bed was comfy but the rest of the room felt sterile. The room had the typical appointments. Location is convenient for Belltown and Downtown North.
Sorry we missed the mark, would love the chance to make it up to you next time you are in Seattle. [email protected]
Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel, beautiful rooms, beautiful bar area. However the only thing I disliked about the hotel, is fifteen minutes before checkout your room card Stops working and when you call and ask if you can do a later check out even thirty more minutes they tell you no, otherwise you'd have to be charged for another night. Nowhere, and I mean nowhere, has ever done that before. Everywhere has always been super accommodating, especially for the nightly price that you have to pay just to stay there. We also weren't told about anything going on as far as wine tasting, having to pay extra for things that you normally can find in a vending machine, nor about the restaurant that was connected to the hotel, etc.
Thank you Jessica for your feedback. It's much easier for hotels to accommodate late check outs if they know ahead of time. As for the keys, that is a security feature that is part of our lock system. I'm looking into it to see if there is a way for us to manually extend. Appreciate your feedback!
Fantastic experience: My wife and I recently eloped at the Kimpton in Seattle and the staff couldn’t have made that experience any better than it was! If you’re looking to elope in a small setting with beautiful decor and great accommodations, I highly recommend using the Kimpton’s elopement packages, and they have many to choose from. Catherine and Anne were absolutely amazing with communication, allowing an earlier check in when we were in a time crunch with the makeup artist, and overall we’re simply wonderful. Our suite had a view of the Moore Theatre which was great, and the room was very clean and had anything we needed upon our arrival. We will definitely return to Seattle and stay here again!
Aw thank you Briainna! Congratulations again and we were so happy to be a part of the special day.
Negative experience: Good for location to pike market and restaurant downstairs (Shaker & Spear). Don’t recommend this stay for experience I had. Receptionist was coughing due to sickness during check-in, charged $25 without prior notice for guest products that aren’t available in the room, rooms are quite small and decor isn’t very nice. Imo there’s far better value at other hotels in Seattle for same price.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm so sorry to hear that the guest amenity fee wasn't communicated to you at check in. That is a standard practice and a great opportunity for training our staff. As for the guest amenity fee it includes items such as WiFi, two bottles of complimentary water daily, and a $10 daily F&B credit. I do hope we get a chance to welcome you back.
Positive experience: The rooms are done up nicely but have a wet smell because the bathrooms don't have fans in their vents for steam. Both room and bathroom were clean. Good location but wish they had a self- park option instead of valet. I booked this hotel specifically because they said they had a freezer to keep our fish frozen from a fishing trip. Turns out they do not and we had to scramble to get another hotel to use their freezer for this purpose...
Thank you Natalia for your feedback. We are looking into that fan for your room. As for storing guest fish, unfortunately we can't store guest food or items in our spaces as we use it to sell food. It's a health code violation. I'm so sorry we promised something but that the team didn't understand that it wasn't doable. Definitely a training moment for our team.
Positive experience: No water bottles in room upon arrival. Decor had a weird pillow with a semi-likeness of Robin Williams in an 1870s era military uniform on my bed. The gym had two treadmills, one of which was non-functioning and the water dispenser in the gym had not been refilled as of 8am. The service was polite and friendly. Unfortunately, I was woken up at 3am with someone outside the hotel screaming at the top of their lungs. I've stayed in many places in Seattle, but will have no plans to return to the Kimpton Palladian.
Thank you Evan for your feedback.
Negative experience: I contemplated doing 2 stars instead of one. So I would solidly rate this 1.5 for its wonderful location, nice rooms, and valet staff. However, the service we received here was incredibly poor. We were checked in 45 minutes late, had staff walk into our room even though my husband and I yelled for them NOT to enter over and over again, AND got additional charges for services we did not use- the snack bar, mini bar, etc… [we don’t drink]. The staff did remove the charges when they realized their error at the end, but I was distraught at the idea of someone else being allowed to use our account and them not even checking… This stay turned out to be incredibly stressful. Shoutout to the valet guy who was wonderful though. He gets a solid 5 star rating from me.
I'm so sorry to hear this, I do remember your feedback right after your stay. If you ever do decide to come back to Seattle, I'd love the opportunity to give you the experience the Palladian is known for. [email protected].
Fantastic experience: I thought the room was amazing, had a very luxurious atmosphere without being to try hard or overly done. The location was within walking distance to my venue I was attending, with plently of local businesses and, Pikes Place.
Thank you so much!
Fantastic experience: Nice ‘boutique’ style hotel in an iconic old building. Adequate, if somewhat boring room but very interesting lobby with iconic pictures of famous local celebrities. High quality, if expensive, restaurant attached.
Thank you Chris for your review.
Positive experience: Just recently reopened! Pros: A cute charming place with superb customer service; beautiful rooms and very clean! Cons: For a basic room, extremely expensive (can’t use “inflation” as an excuse, can’t use “tons of events in Seattle as an excuse,” etc.). Basically, you jacked up the price so much that spending almost 500$ for a simple room blows your mind away! You can Clearly see where businesses are taking full opportunity to get every dime from you that they can! Parking was 75$. Three drinks (2 glasses of wine and one gin), was 60$. Even in simple guest houses in Europe, you’d get a simple breakfast. A coffee and simple biscuit w egg and cheese was almost 30$. Yes, I have choices so that’s on me but would not recommend for this price (a dingy motel downtown Seattle was 100$ less so we picked the better of the two). Looking out to Oct, we see your prices go to half the amount so will give it another try just because it was so cute. Overall, with valet parking (no real other choice) tip x 2, bellhop x 2, room, drinks and a tiny breakfast, it came out to be almost 730$. You can get a 5 star room in Paris at the last minute, in summer with parking and full breakfast for less than that!
Thank you Richard for your feedback. Summer in Seattle can be a lot we know! I definitely recommend booking one of our breakfast packages next time you come to save on some of the additional costs. I hope we get a chance to welcome you back!
Negative experience: This place is a scam as 4+ star rating is FAKE. To top it off, they employees, like Chris, who claim to be "in-charge" or managers but wouldn't give up until making the experience even worse for the guests. Its tiny, hole in the wall, and dirty hotel. I WOULDN'T STAY HERE AGAIN AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE, for 2 reasons. #1, The managers, like Chris, who would insult the customers. They dont understand their own job, responsibilities, would blame customers, and wouldn't miss a chance to insult them publicly. #2 The hotel has been renovated with new paint and paintings, however, the building is old (which is fine), dingy, and smelly. The rooms are way smaller thank shown in pictures, overpriced, and A/C doesnt work. A/C cuts off at 75F.
Positive experience: Cool place, nice rooms but starts to get old(er). Location is good but loads of homeless people around making it 3/5 for that.
Negative experience: How in the holy hell does this place have good reviews? We made our hotel decision based on them and it’s just not correct. Wishing we’d made a different decision. Terribly dirty, our pillows are literally yellow and smell like they’ve been used for the last 10 years. The room is dusty, and has a body odor smell to it. The AC must be broken because as I lay here at 2:30 sweating and hot I can assure you it is not 69 degrees in my room. This is not luxury or cute. It’s dirty, old, and way past it’s prime. Kimpton, do better!! This particular hotel is a stain on your reputation. But I will say, the staff is very nice. So that’s quality. But the actual hotel is just plain gross.
Fantastic experience: The Palladian Hotel used to be called the Calhoun Hotel. It was built in 1909 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013. This is a cool looking building and is a must see.
Positive experience: Went for Thanksgiving Dinner, I ordered the black cod, and while the fish was cooked well and flavors worked nicely, the portion was small and I felt hungry afterward, it wasn't substantial enough to fill me up...feel like they could have added some type of puree alongside.
Fantastic experience: The location was perfect!! It’s only a few minutes walk to many of the tourist sites. The location is near tons of great food and coffee. The staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming. They gave some great recommendations on local coffee shops to visit. Next time I’m in Seattle I will definitely stay here again.
Positive experience: I haven't stayed here since it was turned into a hotel, but I used to live in the building before it got turned back into one. I miss it. Great location and a 1bd 1ba 700sqft for $700/mo...couldn't beat that. It is interesting to see the changes. Perhaps I'll have to visit one day. Gave it a 3☆ b/c it's making me leave a rating but I haven't been since we had to move due to the hotel.
Positive experience: Overall it's a lovely Hotel Downtown Seattle , WA. Location is decent , staff is wonderful! Everyone working here is friendly && helpful. My opinion , a couple things that they should modify , in order to make the guests stay more comfortable. Like making Ice Machines available for all guests , all the time. Ect. 4 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fantastic experience: It is a beautiful place at the corner of 2nd avenue. It has Wifi its clean and has parking. It has a drop of at the side door and you can also use the main door. It is in downtown Seattle in a busy street though traffic is not bad.
Positive experience: Pros: -Staff [There was a women there, I forgot her name but she basically lived there. I felt kind of bad. I checked in at around 10pm and she was still there when I left my room around 11am] -Location -Call to order food from the restaurant -You can only get to the floor you need only if you have a key. If you forget your key you have to provide ID so the building felt safe Cons: -I got a deluxe king and there was nothing deluxe about it but the price. [Stayed for 2 nights, roughly $425 dollars] -No coffee machine -No microwave -There is no sliding door to close the shower, so water gets everywhere -No ventilation for the bathroom, so hopefully you bring some kind of spray -Beds where not the best -There was a crusty red carpet on the floor -There is no parking for the building itself. There is a parking garage they will recommend to you, but you have to walk there. At night it doesn’t feel safe due to high volumes of homeless people. Overall it was ok, but I doubt I’d stay here again.
Fantastic experience: What a precious little hotel! Most friendly yet professional Sahara met us at the check in counter and Made our check in process so delightful and personal. The room was so chic, clean and the location of this hotel is everything for my stay here in Seattle. Walking distance to the restaurants, market place and the pier! Definitely recommend! After roaming the city, came back to our room to a surprise that makes our stay that much more meaningful!
Fantastic experience: The Hotel Palladian is exceptional. We just spent 7 nights there as we wait for a new apartment to be ready. I had tears in my eyes when we (me and my pup) left as it was that wonderful. Yes. During a pandemic summer, we had the most beautiful experience. Sahara, Jonathan, and their team were the kindest, thoughtful, attentive, and service driven souls. Our room was lovely. We had stayed at over 50 Kimpton hotels since 2006 when we discovered them. This experience was a special one. We are beyond grateful for the safe and wonderful experience.
Fantastic experience: Sorry for the people who got the wrong hotel and are giving you undeserved hate, hope this review helps counteract all the negativity and helps restore your rating! Btw, your hotel looks amazing, hope I can visit someday :) Also just realized I've stayed at a Kimpton in SoCal and it was also very nice, so I'm sure your location is just as nice if not nicer :)
Thank you GKXPress! Much appreciated because the 1-star reviews are still coming in with comments surrounding Jaiden's video. Thanks, Pete
Negative experience: Awful customer service, ridiculous fees for visitors in the hotel room my husband and I PAID FOR. Manager should be fired for distasteful and rude attitude towards future customers in the main lobby. He obviously does not know how customers should be treated, especially in such a fine establishment.
Mochi - After researching several reviews that came in together, I want you to know that we are NOT the hotel attached to the Moore Theater and are across the street. I believe the Jaiden Animations group had an experience unrelated to our establishment. I would greatly appreciate you remove your review if this is due to the aforementioned experience.
Negative experience: TL;DR: Great for vacations, not so much for business travel. Plus the absent shower door just is strange. The hotel itself is in a great location for tourism, and offers a wonderful style, comfortable beds, and decent internet. The problems for a business traveler to this location though will prevent me from returning. I fly in to Seattle pretty regularly from the eastern portion of the United States. As such, I typically will rise earlier than your average west coast resident, and MUCH earlier than a tourist on holiday. Normally this is not a problem; every hotel room I've stayed in thus far has had an in-room coffee maker to hold me over until the house staff arrives with breakfast. To be clear: the first couple of days on the west coast and I am up around 3:30 AM and looking for a caffeine rush. Seattle, particularly SLU is a bizarre city in that NOTHING IS OPEN BEFORE 5:30 AM at the earliest. This is a singular aberration in my experience - every city I visit save this one has some form of 24 hour coffee house (usually a Starbucks) where the night owls can get some go-juice. Not SLU. You'd think that the city that saw the first of the most ubiquitous coffee houses would have at minimum one that was open around the clock near the nexus. No, this is not the case. Not even the local McDonalds are open until 6:00. Nothing. The city is empty before 5:30, as if all humans suddenly disappeared. Which brings me back to the Kimpton Palladian. It's 3:30, and I need coffee. No in-room coffee service? Shoot. Maybe in the lobby. Again, thus far, every. single. hotel. I have ever stayed in has coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day. Not the Palladian, true to form in SLU, nothing happens until 5:30, which at this point is 2 hours away. Ok. I walk to work where I can go to the 17th floor, and make coffee, which I did. For the entire stay. Never going to do that again. Other things that stood out to me include the shower, which requires you to stand in the line of fire just to turn it on. Most showers that require this awkward stance, which is becoming disturbingly common, afford you the protection of a shower door you can angle as a shield. Not the Palladian. Perhaps they're making up for the missing in-room coffee by dousing you with a shot of ice cold water before finally allowing you to clean up for the day. There was an ice bucket in the room, which made me assume there was an ice machine, as is the standard at every single hotel I have ever stayed in. Not the Palladian. Ice bucket? Check. Ice machine to fill it? Nah bro. Perhaps it's there for aesthetic purposes only. Enough of the bad. The good parts of the hotel can be summed up with a few points: * Excellent staff, who were quick to open the door for me and welcome me back or wish me a nice day on the way out * Awesome bar and bartenders. That's about it. In summary, It's a great place to sleep if you have a full day planned for sight seeing and activities around Seattle, but if you're there on business and don't care to explore, I'd have to suggest passing.
Matt B - Thank you for the review and apologies that we missed getting you coffee when it was desperately needed. We do have coffee makers available on request and we have an ice machine on the 2nd floor. This is definitely a miss that the team should have made you aware of and certainly something I will train the staff on appropriately immediately. I appreciate the positive comments as well and hope you will give us another try. Feel free to email me directly to set up your reservation with accompanying coffee maker; [email protected] Thanks, Pete
Fantastic experience: I can't think of a better hotel in the heart of Seattle. If your looking for both luxury and relaxation in the middle of bustling city this is your hotel. The decor alone is beautiful and one of a kind. The bar is really down to earth, staff is friendly and willing to assist. And the location is perfect! walking distance to great restaurants, the famous ferris wheel and a short drive to the needle, countless museums and tons of charm and culture.
Alonso - What a great read! And PennyRoyal is one of the best bars in Seattle, please ignore my bias. Pete
Fantastic experience: A great find for those looking for a hip, boutique hotel experience in the heart of Seattle. A block from the Pike Place market and several excellent restaurants. Staff went above and beyond in service. If that's not enough... They allow dogs. I met a great Labradoodle on the elevator.
Greg - Thank you for the awesome comments about our staff! Everyone definitely gives 110% every day and it's always comforting to see it paying off with reviews like yours. Pete
Positive experience: This place is really cool. I loved the décor and how cozy it felt. It doesn't feel like a "big" hotel at all. It's very clean and very quiet inside. There are only a few rooms per floor and they are arranged in such a way that you don't get a lot of hallway noise. It almost felt as if we had the floor to ourselves if not for the goofy newlywed couple who seemed to be enjoying the fact that marijuana is legal in Washington now. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. The valet men are also on point with everything and super friendly. The bed is SO comfortable. Housekeeping does a great job cleaning the room and were very respectful of our belongings. The location is great and everything is walkable from here, but be sure to bring some good walking shoes, because even though distance wise, things aren't far, Seattle is VERY hilly so if you're not in great shape (like me) you'll be huffing up a couple hills. Some people mention the bathrooms having no privacy and no fan and I can agree a bit. The room we stayed in was pretty small, so you really don't have much privacy in the bathroom. The fan problem is easily resolved by opening the window in the bathroom. That provides plenty of fresh air, and also helps disperse the fog on the mirror quickly. Ultimately, if you think you'll need some "privacy" from the person staying with you, take the elevator to the basement where there are public restrooms that are never occupied. They also come in handy when they are using the shower, or getting ready. We stayed in January and slept with the windows open. If you don't like noise, keep your windows shut and the room is dead silent. Hopefully, that construction across the street will be done sooner than later. I will review the restaurant and bar located in this hotel in separate reviews.
Mattie - Thank you for the thoughtful review. I appreciate the comments about the staff and decor! Our building has our quirks like any other but we certainly embrace them. Hope to see you back here soon. Pete
Fantastic experience: The Palladian is a great choice for your Seattle stay. It has a fun vibe, and locals come to the bar and restaurant. The rooms are nice though not noteworthy, but it is a fine hotel in a fun neighborhood. And you get to see what star pillow you get in your bed. This time I had Loenardo Dicaprio.
Rob - Thanks for the great review! Hopefully you have a chance to check us out. Maybe even check out the Rob Roy bar down the street after starting with a cocktail in PennyRoyal!
Negative experience: Moldy and musty rooms, expensive lack real amenities, and some of the staff not that helpful. Strict cancellation policy if you book here especially with 3rd parties, rooms assigned are either near a construction site or next to power generator.
Hi Lai - I apologize that you did not have a great experience. Please feel free to contact me directly and I am happy to work through any issues you had. My email is [email protected]. Thanks, Pete
Fantastic experience: Beautiful establishment. We only stayed 1 night because of timing and expense but we were deeply impressed by the noir art deco style. Parking cost is 50$ every 24hrs unfortunately. No way around it due to high crime in te area.
TL Reynolds - Thanks for the wonderful comments on our design! We agree it's very cool and one of a kind. Parking across the street unfortunately is quite expensive and while we are in line with the downtown hotels, don't forget that we offer complimentary in and out privileges which you do not receive at a parking garage. Hope to host you again soon! Pete
Negative experience: Reserved a deluxe king room. Supposed to have a king size bed and rain shower shower. Bed is a queen and no rain shower. Also no robes that were supposed to be included. Also, the restaurant and bar are both closed for remodeling which they conveniently failed to mention when reserving. Had we known we would stayed elsewhere. They waived the resort fee of $25.00 as if that is equal to the massive disappointment. I've stayed at Kimpton hotels many times before and had good experiences. This is a total failure of their primary business of hospitality. Disappointed in Seattle
Hi Gus, Thanks for your review. I apologize for the experience you had as this certainly does not align with our goals for your stay. I noticed you booked a King Deluxe room and were placed in that room type. Unfortunately we do not have any rooms with rain shower heads in the hotel and if you would be so kind as to tell me where you saw that, I will have it corrected immediately. Additionally, we do have robes on request available for all of our guests and will review with our Front Desk to reiterate that fact as well. Our restaurant was closed for 4 days and is now reopened with a brand new floor but Expedia does not have an area that allows us to notate this. Our Kimpton reservations team was aware and informed our guests appropriately. I would highly encourage you to book direct for this very reason. Please reach out to me at your earliest convenience to discuss more. My email is [email protected]. Thanks, Pete
Positive experience: The hotel is clean and the room was great. The bar downstairs is fairly priced and you can order food from the restaurant. So why 3 stars? The valet stole a black lighter from my center console when I valeted my vehicle.
Joey - I apologize for the situation with the lighter. Please feel free to contact me directly as that is certainly not something we tolerate from any of our employees. My email is [email protected]. Thanks, Pete
Fantastic experience: Perfect location to stay! Really unique and different style, really cool.Everything is in walking distance. Staff is friendly and rooms were really clean.
Thanks for the 5-star review Jeremy! Hopefully we can get you back here soon. Pete
