Negative experience: After being charged 4 times for our stay in Cancun & it being almost 3 months after the charges we still have not been able to get our refund. When we call to speak to someone in refunds we are immediately hung up on. Our correspondence in email form has been pretty much the same. I would suggest if anyone having the thought of dealing with LBF travel to stay clear, run. I can’t believe in this day in age that a company can be so devious.

Fantastic experience: I booked tickets for a flight from Iasi to Bucharest. Eventually everything went smooth, but on my first order I had by mistake added travel insurance that I didn't want. A few messages with the support team and the problem was quickly solved.
Negative experience: Change honeymoon flight the same day and without notification. Had to spend another 1k to fly with someone else. Customer service is rude, lacking and incompetent. There is no manager around even if you wait on hold for hours. Said they would call us back and never did. I didn't even want a refund just a travel credit would have been nice.

Negative experience: So,so nasty, representatives who work there don't work as professionals, they spend your time and for nothing, the I asked for confirm my reservation and the stupid representative he said yes I will and when he didn't so I lose my first reservation, then after 3 days with another crazy representative he did over 5 time transaction on my card and I told him stopped don't do it again I can see the transaction on my account, he didn't follow me and he keeps doing until he made around 6 transaction then I have to wait 2 weeks to get my money back, so if you looking to travel keep away from this bad agent, that was my first time with LBF travel and will be the last one and I will keep to speak with all my friends in CL and MI to avoid this company. I tried to call them over 45 times over the last week.

The airline rescheduled my flights without telling me and the travel agent took care of everything for me in just a few minutes. It was really nice to have them as a go-between when the airline was messing with me. They are legit and I'll use them again.

Fantastic experience: I reserved my flight on SmartFares online. I got an awesome price, but accidentally reserved for the wrong day. I called SmartFares right away and they gave me a no-hassle cancellation immediately, so I could reserve for the correct date. This was my first time using SmartFares, and I'm very pleased.
Negative experience: I got my airline tickets yesterday and received conformation code after I sent payment. I didn't get airline tocket in my e-mail within 24hr so I called them to out that my tickets got canceled. After being on the phone for 2 hours with the help desk got the same tickets that I originally had but I had to pay them $902.25 difference. I already booked hotel and couldn't cancel it. Very, very unpleasant and horrible experience.
Positive experience: I had a problem with TunisAir for adding check-in luggage as I paid for this addition and TunisAir have made me pay (as a penalty) for luggage! Saying that their system doesn’t show this addition. However, SmartFare responded to my claim and provided full refund quickly

Fantastic experience: In the past I've used several travel services and in special cases worked directly with an airline to book travel as efficiently as possible. For my upcoming trip overseas to Japan these usual sites were messy, confusing and unwieldy. Then I discovered LBF Travel where the airline information was clear and the site easy to use and there's been no unnecessary email sales flooding my service. I will definitely use LBF again in future.

Negative experience: In July, 22 I purchased economy tickets for an intl two leg journey. I then received a phone call from SmartFares (aka LBF Travel) saying economy was no longer available for the 2nd flight, only bus. class. I reluctantly agreed to purchase bus. class for $400 more. On arriving at the gate, I was told I had a basic economy ticket. I have tried to recover the difference through my CC services for 5 months to no avail. Twice, they've refused a refund after my providing complete evidence. I have read in reviews that other customers have experienced such 'bait and switch' tactics. I recommend avoiding this company. Caveat Emptor.

Negative experience: This company is a fraud. Be aware! They call their customers and ask for more money to complete their booking. As they have all your information they will threat you. They said that are an american company, but they are just an Indian call centre that does fraud to their customers. The real name of the company is: LBF Travel Inc, and SmartFares and they just pay a US business address. This company should be reported to the authorities. Many people has already complaint in different forums such as TripAdvisor or BBB.

Negative experience: I've filed a claim against this company and frontier airlines. They made way too many mistakes when booking my flight and my bags. I initially had a flight from Dallas to Oakland however I had it changed because of the timing of my trip. THAT FLIGHT SHOULD'VE BEEN CANCELLED. I then had the money from my flight that I paid for initially along with 226 extra dollars added to my flight. the person who was responsible for booking was named Sebastian. I was also told that my bags were covered , I then get to the Dallas airport and they can't find the bags I was charged for so I was charged an extra $79 for booking my luggage. It turns out that the 2194 flight from Dallas to Oakland was never cancelled so when booking my bags they did not include it in the newest flight that I paid for. This is also why when coming back, booking my luggage for my departure they booked the bags for 2194 and not flight 2710! which means I also had to pay ANOTHER $79 for booking my bag though I paid $59 initially for booking my bag in the first place. Disorganized and disorderly service. I would give 0/5 stars but I'm unable to do this, so this company gets 1 star from me.. stay away from the booking service . not worth the headache!

Negative experience: It's a scam, the usual practice of offering a fee and after the customer sends the payment the fee suddenly goes up more than 50 USD, and the only option is either you buy with them or ask for a refund for a booking that was never made, then if you decide to waste your time with a refund claim they will walk you in circles telling you that you have to wait up to 2 weeks for the procedure, again for the charge of an unexistence booking, no ticket, no invoice, just your money gone!. Don't fall for it!!!
Positive experience: Was looking for a business class ticket for round trip LAX-BCN in November. I set up alerts for when airfare dropped and was notified. I knew the fare quoted was a great deal on RT Business Class tickets from LAX-BCN on Turkish Airlines. I will have to wait to see if there are any complications moving forward between now and the trip and if any issues arise during the trip before giving them 5 stars

Negative experience: LBF travel is a scam stay away please look at all the bad reviews: I booked an economy flight that is non refundable unless the flight is late even 1 minute according to American airlines! They are in cahoots with Travel guard group for flight insurance. My flight was delayed 1 hour travel guard said to call LBF if you try the phone does not work you have to email them. Now how would you feel when you need there help. Well as you might expect from scammers they said no even whn AA said if they sold the ticket they would have refunded in these circumstances. I don`t care how cheep the flight if they refuse to be a smart business . You have been warned

The airlines would have credited me directly but LBF fraudulently said I paid cash knowing the airlines can't refund cash.

Fantastic experience: The agent, Conner, was complete in his work with me and my son. The trip to Bali was for 6 weeks. Both in the beginning and at the end, Conner answered all communication, primarily email within a few days. I am clear in my recommending agent ,Conner to all who would travel either foreign or domestic.

Now I am told by SMART FARES that I only get half of the amount I paid. AND I had to pay over $750 to get home. Sun Country told me they could get me on a flight four days late which meant I would have had to pay for a hotel and car rental for four more days. I AM OUTRAGED!!

Positive experience: My experience with Smartfares was great. The airline, Frontier, that's another story. I will never fly with Frontier again. Four hour delay and the most uncomfortable seating. My cheap flight was almost as expensive as flying with other airlines. I had to pay for the aisle seat and for the carry-on which added another $280.00 round-trip.

Negative experience: I ordered flights from this company for frontier airlines and had to change the flights. I called “LBF TRAVEL” they told me that frontier doesn’t offer refunds. So I called Frontier Airlines and asked about a refund and they refunded “LBF TRAVEL” and it’s been a month and I can’t get ahold of anyone to send me my money back. I keep calling “LBF travel” to ask about my refund and I keep getting the run around. BUYER BEWARE!! Negative experience: Very big cheating Travel service Company! 1. Bought a ticket online and they did not confirm till the Travel date! And they keep follow up passengers and say we give some refund and book less duration flight but again they talk nicely and charge what they want saying you bought a ticket via visa required country the customer service people are very big Chester’s especially a person name called Joy M! I can put larceny case on him! 2. Bought a return tickets again this Joy fellow talked so nicely with no confirmation till date and have to follow up for tickets and finally it’s not a international flight have to pay extra money for language! 3. Online price was 725$ / person and this fellow charged me 1004$ per person saying it’s a international ticket and extra legroom seats! Since I have a seniors citizen and that where I accepted the amount and booked tickets! 4. Till flight time time I don’t have confirmation and I need to follow up for tickets confirmation! After get into the flight thee is no extra legroom seats and end up sit in least economy seats! 5. Definetly I don’t recommend anyone and give reviews about their cheating to put a larceny case!

Negative experience: LBF travel charged us $1598 for two tickets that were worth $686. They then went and purchased the two tickets from United for $343 each. Because of the time restriction LBF put on us and not being able to get in touch with LBF we were unable to cancel the tickets. When our credit card company and myself tried to call them back they would hang up or block our numbers. They used another company's name" Travelers Help Desk " that is in the same suite as they are to confuse the transaction and made it impossible to get back in touch with them..

Negative experience: I made a mistake, I booked tickets from smartfare. I changed my dates and air India told me and e mailed me if I need to changed my dates because of COVID-19 so I don’t have to pay anything. Smart fares charge $716 for my date change. Smart fares service is. I never go with smart fares and I suggest to everybody don’t go with him.

Please spare the expense of purchasing a last minute flight as Smart Fares shows a pattern of taking people’s money for flights that are later unavailable, only to attempt to have us purchase a last minute ticket at a much elevated rate. My initial ticket was 61.00. The night before my flight, I attempted to check in to find out that my flight was “cancelled”. I was offered a credit of 21.70 and suggested that I purchase, through Smart Fares, a ticket for $366.00 via American Airlines. I refused! I purchased the same ticket from Expedia for 201.00. I will be contacting the Better Business Burea and FBI’s fraud line tomorrow to report Smart Fares aka LBF Travel and CEO Michael Thomas for fraudulence. This 302 Billion Dollar company is getting rich by scamming the public. Save yourself the last minute headache!! Many of the complaints were associated with Spirit Airlines.
