Fantastic experience: My wife Liz and I just returned from 18 fantastic days in Japan. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. We visited Tokyo, Hikone, Takayama, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa and Kyoto. Every city had its own character, charm, and allure. We saw the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, but also the hidden gems like the Lion Cafe, and the wonderful TeamLab Borderless exhibit. We had Onsen in Hikone and stayed in a traditional inn with glorious traditional meals. In Takayama and Kanazawa we experienced the old historic districts with wooden buildings, quaint Restuarant’s and lots of charm. Shurakawa-go was a treat with the old thatched room houses, snow on the ground and views of the Japan Alps. Kyoto was a cultural treat— we enjoyed the tea ceremony, the Maiko performance, and of course the sake tour and tasting. Overall we had a trip to remember and we couldn’t be happier. This review only hints at the great sights and experiences we had but we are overjoyed with the trip. In planning our trip we got so much assistance and advice from Kimkim and especially our specialist Sandy. We would not have had anywhere near the experience we did without the wonderful Sandy,. We went through several versions of itineraries and sights-to-see with Sandy. She listened to what we wanted and made all the arrangements. We enjoy a mix of days with guides and days on our own to explore. Sandy made this happen and the guides she arranged were all lovely people, so full of energy and charm, and completely aware of all the history and the lesser known places to see. Sandy made train arrangements and car transportation set up when we needed it. The car transfer from Tokyo to Hakone was great because we stopped by the lake near Mt Fuji and took the boat across the lake for wonderful Fuji views, Overall it’s five star review for Kimkim and Sandy. Fantastic experience: Iceland truly left me in awe with its otherworldly beauty, and our trip was unforgettable in every way. The landscapes were absolutely breathtaking—rugged volcanic terrain, vast glaciers, and waterfalls at every turn. The highlight for me was the charming town of Vík, a place so picturesque it almost felt surreal. Nestled by the sea, Vík offered incredible views of black sand beaches, towering cliffs, and the iconic Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Every corner felt like something out of a dream. Our hotel was nothing short of spectacular. Located between two towering mountains, it felt like we were nestled in the heart of Iceland's wild beauty. Waking up to those mountain views each morning was an experience in itself. The accommodations were cozy and modern, providing the perfect base for our adventures. Throughout the trip, we were consistently impressed by the warmth and kindness of the Icelandic people. Every guide we encountered was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. Their passion for Iceland’s history, culture, and natural wonders shone through in every tour. We learned so much about the island’s geology, mythology, and wildlife, which made the excursions even more enriching. A special thanks to Jenny for helping to book the trip. She was wonderfully patient, attentive, and extremely helpful throughout the process, ensuring every detail was taken care of. Thanks to her, everything went smoothly from start to finish, and we were able to experience the best of what Iceland has to offer. We arrived at midnight in Morocco to be greeted with a warm welcome by Ilyace who shared a bit of the history and culture of Morocco as he drove us to our first Riad of the stay. Ilyace literally went above and beyond; diligent about accommodating our needs and ensuring we got the most out of our experience. We spent a good portion of the travel with him touring all of Morocco as he was our driver to our destinations, that he came to feel like part of the gang. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, informative and a pleasure to spend our time with. Thank you Ilyace for making us feel at home in your amazing and wonderous country. And getting unforgettablely getting us the airport on time while being stuck in a gridlock for a marathon in Casablanca. Hanan heightened our taste buds to an exotic Moroccan food tasting experience. We spent the evening exploring local taste sensations and sharing recipes and fun times. Because of her we now want a tagine! And bring home the new food traditions we’ve learned. We’ve tried to find it here and boy do we miss the Moroccan tea. And finally Siad who was our master planner of our enjoyable and eventful trip. Siad was very attentive and informative. He provided us with all the information whenever we needed. We didnt need to contact him while there and Ilyace always there to instantly take care of anything. Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently did a 12-day tour with Wanderlust Voyages -- booking via Kimkim -- in Morocco. It was incredible -- and I do not have sufficient words to describe how strongly I recommend Wanderlust. We had a positive experience from the initial inquiry through to our drop-off at the airport. We chose to do a custom itinerary, starting and ending in Marrakech (where I was traveling for work). We visited Marrakech, the Boulmane Dades, Erg Chebbi, Fes, Chefchauouen, Rabat, Casablanca, and then back to Marrakech. We began our inquiry with Wanderlust with a detailed survey and Megan and her team did an amazing job of pulling together an itinerary that captured everything we were interested in, making recommendations about when/where to do certain activities, and identifying absolutely incredible riads and lodging. They were also incredibly quick in responding, making adjustments that we were interested in, and providing additional detail and information when we asked. Our itinerary was perfect -- and complete kudos go to Megan and the team for pulling together such a stellar trip! The only thing I would change would be to add another night at Erg Chebbi (giving us two total) so that we could have a full desert day -- but that would have required a longer trip. Everything from the riads they selected, to the balance of guided tours, free time, activities, and sight-seeing was perfect. This was the first trip I've booked through a travel agency, and I would 100% do it again. I also want to give a special shout-out, thank you, and note of appreciation to our incredible driver, Hassan Amraoui. Our experience would not have been the same without him. Hassan went out of his way to give us an amazing experience. He doubled as a tour guide, kept everything running smoothly, on-time, and hassle-free, and did it all with such positive energy & a smile on his face. We left Morocco feeling like we gained a true friend during our stay! Hassan, thank you! Our trip highlights included: - Marrakech & the many sights and activities that the medina has to offer. The detailed architecture is truly breathtaking, and each stop in Marrakech presents something special and unique. - Erg Chebbi. INCREDIBLE. The rolling dunes of sand are breathtaking, and the desert luxury camp is a must-see! - Fes was such a fun city & so, so different from Marrakech. We were very grateful to have a guide in the medina -- it's not an easy one to navigate! But, a must-see! - Chefchaouen. A beautiful town, and wandering through the medina spalshed in hundreds of shades of blue was phenomenal. - Hammam. A must-do! We did ours at Riad Kniza in Marrakech and it was the perfect way to relax, and wind down after a long trip. - We particularly loved our two riads in Marrakech: La Maison Arabe and Riad Kniza. They were absolutely stunning. Thank you Megan, Winnie, Hassan, and the many guides and riad staff who gave us such an unforgettable, magical experience in Morocco. We would love to return!

Fantastic experience: Our recent trip to Morocco, organized by Original Travels Co via KimKim, was absolutely fantastic. Upon our arrival in Buenos Aires, we were warmly welcomed by our guide, Flo, and Mhervin, who would look after us throughout our entire adventure. Their expertise and friendliness instantly made us feel at home in this vibrant city. One of the highlights of our trip was the Tango lessons and dinner show. The experience was simply fabulous! We were immersed in the passion and artistry of Tango, enjoying every moment of its rich pageantry. It was a true celebration of Argentine culture that we’ll cherish forever. Another unforgettable experience was our personal cooking class with Chef Paula at El Federal. What a delight it was to journey through the four regions of Argentina via its culinary offerings! Chef Paula was an exceptional instructor, guiding us through the preparation of traditional dishes. The joy of savoring our own creations was the cherry on top of a wonderful evening enjoying the food and our wonderful host. Flo, our guide, further enriched our trip with insightful walks and recommendations for dining at some of the best local spots. Our visit to La Bamba de Areco was particularly enchanting, with its tranquil ranch setting, stunning landscapes, and the opportunity to connect with horses and locals and horse whisperer. Ana also arranged a magnificent excursion to El Calafate, where we marveled at the breathtaking Perito Moreno Glacier on the Blue Safari. The overnight stay at Los Ponchos Hotel Boutique was fabulous, with comfortable accommodations and delicious food that made our stay even more special. We cannot thank Ana enough for the flawless air and ground connections she arranged for us, ensuring a seamless journey from Buenos Aires to El Calafate and back. For anyone considering a fantastic holiday in Argentina, we wholeheartedly recommend utilizing KimKim and asking for Ana, Flo, and Mhervin. Fantastic experience: I am a very type A person who likes to be in control so I was hesitant to use an agency to plan a trip for me. I have to say Kimkim far exceeded my expectations! Ana helped plan and then fine-tune the trip based on our interests and was very knowledgeable with her recommendations. We went from Oslo to Bergen to Tromso. When she was out for vacation someone else stepped in to make sure I knew they were here to help me and everyone as so communicative and transparent (shoutout to Tom and Tricia). They were on top of things even when it was too early to book something they had alarms on when new dates were released to make sure we got to do everything we wanted to do. The way the itinerary , booking confirmations, and tickets were delivered to us was so organized. it came with a lot of extras like how to use public transportation and an ethical travel guide. One thing I didn't realize before the trip that all of the excursions that were booked were with ethical and sustainable agencies and a few run by the indigenous Sami people of Norway. I really liked that aspect! During the trip we did have one part of an excursion get canceled because of the lack of snow and Tom messaged us 2 days before to let us know and gave us options to rectify the situation. There was another time where there was an issue with one of our excursions when we got there and we messaged and Tom jumped on it right away and figured out the issue so we didn't have to waste any time of our trip figuring out logistics. Overall I would definitely recommend Kimkim's services!

Fantastic experience: We found kimkim from an internet search for touring New Zealand. They provided us with an excellent, varied, fulfilling trip plan for our three weeks. Michelle was available to help us when necessary. If we travel to any of their other destinations, we will use them again to help plan our trip.

Positive experience: We chose to use KimKim for our second time since we had an an amazing ttrip with KimKim in Italy last year, May 2023. All of our expectations were met and we thought we would have the same experience this year with our trip to Japan. Unfortunately, this was not the case. From the moment, we arrived in Tokyo, there were problems. They were as follows: 1. The room in our Tokyo hotel was small and totally outdated for a 4 star hotel. The bed was small and up against the wall which only allowed us to enter the bed from one side. Needless to say, this was a major inconvenience as we had to climb over each other to get into bed. We contacted Asia Highlights and they rectified the situation the next day by moving us to another room which was bigger and more modern. This was the type of room we were expecting from day one. We spent 5 nights in this hotel. 2. Our guide for Tokyo was extremely poor. He was supposed to contact us the night before to make arrangements about when and where to meet the next day. We did not hear from him until we decided to contact him. Not a great first impression. Once we met him, Carter, we realized there was going to be a language barrier. His English was poor and his understanding of English was just as poor, making communication a challenge. He was very inexperienced an did not know the logistics of being a good guide. He lacked the knowledge and expertise of a guide and really did not not make our visit to Tokyo enjoyable. We kept giving him the benefit of the doubt, but his performance was sub par. 3. When we arrived in Hiroshima, we met our driver at the train station who would take us to our hotel. Unfortunately, the 10 minute drive to the hotel took 1 hour because the driver did not know where he was going. Again, a real lack of communication. 4. Finally, at our hotel in Osaka, we came across the same problem with our room as we did in Tokyo. The room was again small, bed to one side and the room was very dated. This time, we could not change rooms because all of the rooms were booked. Not pleasant. We are seasoned travelers and these accommodations were unacceptable. On a positive note, we were extremely pleased with our guide, Ho. (Kyoto to Osaka) He was a true professional and paid strict attention to detail. He made the rest our trip very enjoyable. He made changes to the itinerary as he saw fit and always took our needs into consideration when planning the days ahead. Asia Highlights also tried to make accommodations and were responsive to our many messages back and forth but it really did not make up for the poor execution of this trip. We booked this Trip last December and this should have given them ample time to provide us with the best experience possible. As the company that represents them, a better vetting process should be in place. In conclusion, this trip was highly disappointing.

Fantastic experience: The best way to plan a trip and travel out there!!! We will definitely use KimKim again!!! Having the ability to personalize our Vietnam trip with a local agent like Doris was so easy and stress free. She listened to our desires and make it happen! Any questions we had before we traveled and during, she answered! When we got in country, our personal tour guides, Thao and Long were amazing!! so knowledgeable and added so much to our experience! We learned so much more than we ever would have had we traveled with a big group or without a guide. This was a trip of a lifetime and I'm so glad we used KimKim to help make it happen!

Negative experience: Summary with details following: I would not recommend Bruno. He can be cranky and short tempered. This was a second trip with Kimkim and they were a disappointment also. I was planning another trip with Kimkim, that I have cancelled. Thankfully, I had not paid the deposit. Bruno was good during the planning phases with customizing our trip. The trip was a 5* trip for a group of 6 seniors (3 couples). One of the main reasons for using Kimkim was that they had someone local that we could chat with whenever we needed to. Once when I was asking Bruno questions he came back with a response "You are not my only client". I was not expecting an instant response. I don't know why he got annoyed. He scheduled us, based on our request, to go to Vrsic pass. The roads had been closed for a while and we just happened to find out when we mentioned it to the person at the hotel desk. As my agent there, he should have known this. We could have spent a couple of hours driving there and found out, but we lucked out. We had rented a van that turned out to be a diesel van. Not understanding the nomenclature, we ended up pumping regular gas in the van. In the US, the nozzle typically will not fit, but apparantly not in Europe. Lesson learned. It was a Sunday evening and the van started sputtering and we got an "engine failure likely" warning. Luckily, we got off the highway and managed to get to a gas station in the boonies. Bruno was very irritated and kept telling me it was my fault and wanted to make sure to tell me that I had to pay for it. I never had an expectation that he would cover it. He later told me that because of this he lost family time and wanted me to feel sorry for him. Remember, it was 6 senior citizens stranded in some unknown village not knowing the language and dealing with an irritated specialist, Bruno. We lost a day of site seeing and Bruno had to do some re-arranging of our itinerary due to this. Yes, it was not his fault for sure, but shit happens. If family time is more important, get a 9 to 5 job. One of the hotels (Pallazo) was a disaster. We stayed there for 2 nights and we had AC and internet issues the whole time. I had to move rooms twice (3 different rooms in 2 nights) and another couple had to move once and the third couple had to put up with boiling temperatures for one night. Remember, we had requested the best hotels and this was a disaster. The total cost of the 11 day trip was over $28K and I insisted on some compensation and the best they could do was a total refund of $340 plus $100 Kimkim credit for each couple. We were paying about $2500 per day ($5000 for 2 days) and the best they could do was $340. The credit is useless, since I don't plan on using Kimkim anymore. When I told Bruno that I would follow up with Kimkim, he told me to not bother and that they could not do anything. He was right. So having Kimkim as the parent organization buys you nothing, You just pay more since they take their commission off the top and provide no value when it comes to issues like this. Kimkim's planning online interface is nice until you need to remove people that may have dropped out. The emails continued going to the people that dropped out and the message authors were mixed up with some message. Basically it seems to have some annoying issues. The group organizer cannot add and remove people. Simple email questions in the chat window ends up going to everyone creating a lot more communications than necessary. I could not send a chat message to Bruno privately.

Fantastic experience: I had a great time on a solo trip to four cities in Japan on my three week stay. My contact person at KimKim was Eleanor and she did an excellent job at finding places and things for me to do while there. She worked with me and changed my itinary as I requested and found me some great hands-on experiences to enjoy while there. Visiting a sumo stable, seeing Sapporo from the top of one of the Olympic ski jumps, and visiting a small city during one of their fall festivals with yummy street foods to sample. I would definitely use their services again if going on a trip that wasn't a scheduled tour.

Fantastic experience: Thanks to the expert travel planning with kimkim we were able to experience a fraction of what beautiful sights Finland had to offer! I anticipate using kimkim again for my next big travel plans. :)

Fantastic experience: We are not young couple, that decided to visit Galapagos islands and Ecuador for our annual vacation. I want to thank our local specialist, Isabel, for the perfect organization of this vacation. The positive experience started from a mutual planning of the trip, half a year before the vacation: Isabel was sensitive to every word and wish and we changed and adjusted the plan a number of times, until we were absolutely pleased. In our case, I preferred to book the hotels and flights by myself, however, most of the hotels were selected according to Isabel's recommendation and they answered our expectation and even, in two locations (in Isabella Island and in Quito), exceeded them. The trip was organized in a way that we were followed by a guide or a driver most of the time. So, we could feel relaxed and enjoy the scheduled activities. Everything worked according to the plan, on time and without unpleasant surprises. It happened that by mistake, we took a wrong car to the airport and had to pay for it. Although it was our mistake, the agency returned us the price of this trip that was pre-paid. The ongoing communication with Isabel continued by WhatsApp during the entire trip, which was very comfortable. However, the internet in Galapagos is poor in some places and not always the connection was possible. The English of local guides in Galapagos was not always clear, sometimes it required effort to understand, but they were patient, and we normally repeated the question and understood the answer. In Galapagos we selected the option to stay in hotels rather than at yacht, and it was a good choice for us, because we were free to go around the island anytime and performed snorkeling, kayaking and hiking to the extend we wanted. The only detail that was not properly addressed was the size of the wet suit for my husband: he is unusually big person, so, in one place we could not get a suit for him. I would recommend addressing this information in advance. In continental Ecuador we were accompanied by a local guide, Rodrigo, who took us to Banos, Cotopaxi and Quito. Rodrigo was a very informal, calm and knowledgeable guide, and we learned a lot about the country, its history and nature, both are fields of our interest. The country is amazing and rich in resources and nature! Although, we encountered, unexpectedly, the electricity shutdowns in the continental Ecuador (I hope, temporary), the vacation could not be better!

Fantastic experience: Morocco...an amazing country for all of your senses! It is clear to me that I arrived in Casablanca with all of the pre-conceived notions (nonsense?) about Morocco you might expect. Arid landscapes, hot, basic infrastructure, perhaps even uncomfortable situations as a woman traveler. NOTHING could be further from the truth! From the start, Morocco exceeded every expectation in every way. From arriving in modern and cosmopolitan Casablanca and making our way to the lovely Barceló Anfa Casablanca hotel on well maintained freeways passing offices of many global multinational companies and shopping centers to the "shock to the senses" of Marrakech and all of the UNESCO sites and amazing vistas in between (and lets not forget sunrises in the Sahara), Morocco will take your breath away. The team at Kim Kim and in particular, Amal with Experience Morocco, crafted an itinerary that let us explore history, culture, and some of the most amazing food and wine I've ever had. Throughout we had our exceptional driver, Mustapha, overseeing our itinerary and concerned over very detail..and of course getting us to where we needed to be in the comfort of our lovely van with WiFi! No detail was overlooked. Amal and her team at Experience Morocco worked with us for weeks to get the itinerary just right. It did not end there, we had a final call with her just to make sure everything was as we wanted it. We had an amazing arrival booklet with everything we needed including tips, a day by day summary of the itinerary, summary of our lodgings, and emergency numbers. In addition she gave us restaurant recommendations and was always available for any questions before and during the trip. This is not the first trip Kim Kim has coordinated for us and there is no doubt we will be back for more.

Fantastic experience: KimKim organized my trip to South Korea from october 2 to 26. it was a memorable trip very well organized in all aspects. This is my third trip organized by Kimkim and I plan to organize more trips with them.

Fantastic experience: Kimkim is a fabulous travel agency and provided a unique adventure in Italy for us. We preferred private or small tour groups (~12-15 people) rather than large groups, independent travel on trains and rental car, and smaller boutique hotels or B&B accommodations. Kimkim satisfied all of our requests while remaining within our budget. It was wonderful to be met by a private driver and car at each destination and transfer. No need to negotiate taxis. Kimkim also provided travel prep advice and tips to make the most of each location that we visited. The experience was top-notch and smooth as silk! Although this was my first time using their services, I will definitely use them for future travels and have recommended them to several friends already!

Fantastic experience: I was planning our first trip to Japan and while researching I stumbled upon KimKim. What a fantastic find!!!! It is hard to find a travel agency with on location experience. KimKim has a terrific platform that helps to identify your needs and wants in a trip and then they connect you with a travel agent who is an expert in that location. We were connected with Leny in Tokyo. She was AMAZING!!! After filling out the questionnaire she came up with a couple of suggested itineraries. We then scheduled a phone call to discuss in further detail our thoughts about the itinerary. That really put my mind at ease, to talk to a real person and get instant feedback! We made modifications to make the trip exactly what we wanted. Leny was helpful every step of the way. She made a VERY detailed schedule for us. Organized wonderful tours and experiences. The hotels were terrific. Then she took customer service to the top level. When we were in Japan she was available for support throughout our trip! One time I could not find my train tickets and she mailed them again to me as I was at the station!!! Now that is support!! While being fairly well travelled, I was very nervous having never been to Asia. Leny put my mind to rest. She was absolutely incredible throughout this entire process. This was a very special trip to celebrate my birthday. It was a trip of a lifetime and I owe a huge part of that success to Leny at KimKim. THANK YOU LENY!!!

Everything was to the T from pick up, tour, hotel, bus. The hotel that she picked was great. Negative experience: We booked our honeymoon through Rutopia via the KimKim platform. It was the worst decision that we made during the entire wedding planning experience. Rutopia claim to be in-country experts who know the towns and indigenous communities of Mexico. That couldn't have been LESS true. Almost all of the activities that we did were subcontracted through one, if not two, other companies. No wonder they charged us so much to do so little. Every single thing that Rutopia booked went wrong. I wish that was an exaggeration. Here are just a few examples: - The hotel they had booked for us in Oaxaca was a glorified hostel that they had sold as a 4-star, luxury hotel with a pool. When we sent Rutopia photos of the water damage in the room and the hostel-like bathroom complete with torn shower curtain, they told us there were no other hotels in Oaxaca. A quick search showed it was in fact low season and most hotels were not only fully available, but discounted. We had to find and book our own hotel as Rutopia refused to offer any help or advice. When we asked if anyone from their team had ever actually been to the hotels they booked, they never replied. We were given a refund for the original hotel but this only emphasised how little of the over $10,000 that we had paid was being used to pay for our accomodation. - On our first day trip (which started with a 3-hour drive (which we expected)), the driver wasn't given cash to pay for the toll road so we had to drive along the backroads over potholes and about a million speed bumps. It was only when we asked the driver why he was ignoring the instructions that his satnav was giving him to get on the highway that he revealed that he didn't have the cash to pay the toll. We paid for it on the return trip and we were eventually reimbursed but, again, only after having to raise the issue with Rutopia. A $20 toll should be included in a $10,000 holiday. - All of our transfers to the airport were booked 4 hours prior to the flight, leaving us more than 2 hours to kill at the gate, including for a 7 am flight. When we told them we don't need nearly that much time, the reply was that the transport company was busy and had to fit us in when it worked for them. We chose to cancel the remaining transfer and pay the $7 Uber to the airport instead. - They even messed up the logistics on the experiences that are designed specifically by Rutopia (not subcontracted). On one day trip, they set the start time too late and we missed two-thirds of the activity. It was supposed to be an immersive amaranth experience starting with a nature hike followed by an amaranth cooking class and lunch. When we asked the hosts about the hike, they told us we'd arrived too late. The day trip turned out to be an hour drive, a "cooking class" that was about 20 minutes of mixing puffed amaranth with honey and making it into shapes with cookie cutters and then a homemade lunch of meatballs with amaranth as a thickener. The drive was longer than the "experience". Every time something went wrong, Rutopia offered no help. We were completely on our own and had to foot the bill for their mistakes. We decided to work with a travel agent for our honeymoon so we could relax and not have to deal with any potential issues. Sadly the only issue we had to deal with was a horribly incompetent travel agency who sold us a shoestring budget holiday for the price of a luxury vacation. Our initial experience was positive, we had a number of calls with a representative and we described what kind of trip we were looking for and the type of activities and hotels that we hoped for. Sadly it seems that this was just a front. Almost none of what we had spoken about was taken into account and a trip of a lifetime for 2 honeymooners who have travelled extensively before and are food lovers became more akin to a first time traveler's poorly planned budget holiday.

One of my favorite moments was the boat tour on the Thames, which offered a unique and peaceful perspective of the area. Overall, I felt like I got an authentic taste of the UK and came home with amazing memories (and plenty of photos!).

Positive experience: This company is not designed for an Avid Golfer like me. It's only design for a regular vacationers who do not play golf. If you are a golfer booked your travel itinerary on a company who specializes in golf and tours. This company's staff do not understand golf schedules and will charge you extra for an unforeseen golf pick up delays.

Fantastic experience: Kimkim was great in communicating and planning an amazing trip to Switzerland. Great communication before, during, and after the trip. We were able to describe the good and bad from previous vacations and they took that and helped create a memorable experience. Good picks on some of the guides that gave us a boutique experience in an amazing country.

Negative experience: We had hired Kimkim for a 5 day (4 night) tour of Peloponnesus. Paid 4800 euro for 4 people. The tour included hotels and guided tours of ancient sites, no meals or transportation save for one taxi. On balance, our experience has been poor. Counting up the cost of the hotels and of the guided tours we received about 1500-1600 euro retail value for the 4800 we spent. Additionally, the posted tour details were not correct causing confusion about the hotels we were to stay in and where to find the guides. The company responded quickly and courteously to our concerns, but it absolutely did not redeem the very poor value and bad choices they made. We have been ripped off. I would never use them again. Far better to book hotels and guides based on personal research without depending on this outfit.

Fantastic experience: My experience in France was simply everything and so much more. Kim Kim planned eveything I had wished of doing on this trip and the itinerary was just perfect!

Negative experience: We were traveling through Portugal and our rep Karin Eckhard stated she lived in Portugal which is the reason I chose KimKim. We were passed off to Helena Fernandez and Borja. There were fires through out next leg of our trip in Portugal and we expressed concern early on. They kept insisting on sending us where the fires were raging. Finally we rerouted to Barcelona. Helena and Borja clearly are not from Portugal and Karin was completely absent. It only gets worse when they send us to Axel Hotel in Barcelona which is a swinger's hotel catering to gay men. I expressed that we were 2 straight women and that the hotel wasn't our scene prior to going but they insisted it was their favorite hotel. We arrive to sex toys on display, digital and fixed art all featuring men+men and Women+women. We had to listen to men going at it while we tried to sleep through paper thin walls. We didn't even escape the snoring! Without a doubt I would never recommend any of the agents mentioned above. They insisted on sending us into harms way via fire and then sent us to a swinger's hotel for men. Use someone local to you that has traveled the area and pays attention to the news.

Fantastic experience: My son and I who are Philadelphia Eagles fans, visited Brazil, from August and September of 2024. Our 20-day tour of Brazil included stops at Sao Paulo, Paraty, Angra Dos Reis, Rio De Janeiro, Iguacu Falls, Jumo Lodge in Amazon Jungle near Manaus, the historic City of Salvador, Chapdada National Park at Lincois . Thanks to Kim Kim's tour specialist Sara Martinel, our tour and experiences of Brazil was beyond amazing!! Prior to the start of the tour, we shared with Sara what we wanted to do such as including but not limited to hiking on mountains, snorkeling in the ocean, visit the waterfalls and magnificent caves, snorkeling in the blue water cave and appreciate the history and culture and cuisines of Brazil and she made it happen! Our daily trips were well thought out and provided a variety of options and recommendations! She tailored our trip and itinerary such a way that we were able to travel on road between certain cities to enjoy and appreciate the landscape! Each day we were provided accurate and specific driving plan with stops programmed in and links to other optional places. Travel arrangements were beyond our imagination. From the moment we arrived at Sao Paulo, the transfer services from the airport to hotel and hotel to the domestic airports were like timer on a clock. The professional tour guides she selected for us were well informed and kept a pace we could keep. The list of tour guides we has were Alberto Cardoso and Andre Van Berg in Rio, Leon Courtman in Amazon Jungle, Ray Salvador in Salvador and Roco Belletti in Sao Paulo were amazing. These guides commented on wide variety of things in Brazil from Amazon rain forests to history of Salvador and other significance with each place and were recetive to questions and adjustment to the tour. The drivers we had were fantastic. Hotels and the Juma Lodge Sara selected for us were exceeded our expectations. This was my first time using Kimkim and we highly recommend to other. I can’t wait to use them again!

Fantastic experience: Amazing trip, well planned and supported. Kimkim staff provides 24 hour phone support during trip.. Mathia listened and planned the trip that we wanted. He would have helped with all our Norway trip, but we only needed help planning the road trip portion. Not being the usual travelers, we wanted to experience the Kystriksveien Highway (Norwegian Coastal Highway). He created a driving trip with accommodations and activities (kayaking and guided hiking) along the way. Accommodations exceeded our expectations. Dinner at Vega Havhotell was the best meal on our 21 day trip. Once we arrived in Norway, Mathia arranged for a call, checking to make sure we were comfortable with our driving schedule. He was able to make a last minute change in accommodations to better suit our driving plans. He not only provided ferry schedules for Highway 17 but emailed daily to determine how things were going. We definitely would recommend Mathia and kimkim to assist with travel planning. They listen and tailor a trip to suit individual needs. Knowing that Mathia or another associate was available 24 hours a day was reassuring; we know help was available should a problem arise.

Fantastic experience: We used KimKim to organise our family bucket list trip to Equador, including Quito and the Galápagos Islands. They organised hotels, transport and tours based on our requests and their knowledge and expertise. Our contact Angie (Angiel) worked with us to arrange from March and kept in touch throughout our trip in August. Our walking tour was both informative and engaging, allowing us to soak in the rich history and culture of the city. A highlight was the cooking class with our guide, Sebastian. It was a delightful experience learning to prepare traditional Ecuadorian dishes and enjoying a delicious meal we had made ourselves. Fantastic experience: My wife and I just returned from thirteen days in Italy with our two kids, (ages 13 and 10) and had a trip that created memories for a lifetime. I can’t say enough about Cecilia and how great she was in designing a trip for a family who had never been to Italy before and making sure that our itinerary met our needs. She found us great hotels that were both convenient location wise but also rooms that were comfortable for the whole family. Cecilia was very responsive leading up to our trip and made sure we were well educated on everything we needed to know before we left and provided us all of our necessary travel documents in one easy to use location that made our days travelling easy to follow. While on our trip Cecilia also made herself available for us to ask questions and was quick to respond if we weren’t sure if we were in a proper location for a tour or had a travel question as we moved from one place to the next. We spent three days in Venice, three in Florence, four in Sorrento and ended with three days in Rome. Sorrento was the highlight destination for the whole family with our boat tour of the Amalfi Coast as our favourite day of the whole trip. Fantastic experience: Our trip was well planned, and we had two Amazing guides Willy and Danny. They both were well enformed about Peru, its history, cultural diversities, food specialities and various geographical uniqueness. Willy and Danny provided excellent recommendations for food and activities to be done after our day trips or on our free days. There were multiple times where Willy and Danny took an extra step to make our trip memorable, they setup special lunch for us, made a picnic basket for lunch. Our local transport during our entire trip was very comfortable, and clean. We were very satisfied with our trip. Our trip planner Anne played a vital role, she was very patient with our questions and concerns. She was open to suggestions or changes requested by us. She did not push us to make any decisions which we were not sure about or uncomfortable with.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommended KimKim Tours to anyone planning a trip to Vietnam. All I did was tell them what type of activities I would like to do and places I wanted to see and they organized everything (hotels, meals and activities). Our tour guide, Mr Cường, was fantastic. He not only told us wonderful stories and facts about the places we went but he also helped us with logistics such as airport pick up, checking into our hotels, ordering food, transport from place to place and making sure the transfer to our cruise went smoothly because, let me tell you, the seaport is a mad house. Fantastic experience: Kim Kim and specifically Julia are amazing. She tailored our itinerary to our desired style of travel which is to rent a car and road trip. I highly recommend this style of travel, and Julia nailed the itinerary. Our trip was so amazing that after a week being home it is difficult to write this because I have post-trip blues and miss Norway. What a life experience and I truly love Norway. It’s a testament to KimKim and Julia.

Negative experience: We used Kimkim for our upcoming extended family and friends trip to Central Europe in late July/early August 2024 . We have a group of 10 people (5 parents and 5 teenagers). It is a 10-night trip to Vienna, Salzburg, Munich, Zurich, Lucerne and Interlaken costing USD5200+ person not including flights and most of the meals. There are two days with 2 hours of biking or scooter tour arranged for the whole day. The tours he arranged for us are all public group tour with the exception of one tour. -Started planning with the local agent in late Feb 2024 and paid 20% deposit in mid March. -we found out he booked hotel rooms with incorrect beds arrangement (i.e. one full/queen size bed and one sofa bed for a family of 4 with two 6 feet tall boy teenagers) and urged him to rearrange (must have two separate twin beds for the boys) accordingly on April 1st. -It took him almost two weeks time to change the hotel rooms after we further followed up with him on April 8. -While changing hotel rooms, he also changed one of the hotels location from Lucerne to Zurich for the last 2 nights of the trip. On April 12, he still claimed that "I could manage to organise all the chosen activities starting from Lucerne, so you can stay in Zurich, enjoying the city and see Lucern & Interlaken during daytrips" -On April 19, we urged him to update various itinerary changes and hotel information, as it had not been updated since March 18. It is so confusing and no one is able to tell what/when/where is the travel plan for various days. He promised to update it in a week but it didn't happen. -On May 24, full payment had made and the nightmare began. -On June 1, we reconfirmed with him whether we would visit Lucerne and Interlaken from Zurich, he ignored our question and didn't reply. There was a chocolate/cheese tour arranged in Lucerne before he made changes on the hotel. We could't tell whether the tour is still on as planned. -On June 3, we sent him multiple questions concerning our travel arrangement for Lucerne and Interlaken. We specifically asked him about the time schedule of our train from Munich to Lucerne, how much time we will have in Lucerne, how much traveling time on the road when we travel from Zurich to Lucerne/Interlaken for day trips, and of course the beginning and ending time of each activities he arranged. -On June 4, he sent us a very simple updated plan with date, program name and hotel name. This update didn't have information we requested earlier (i.e. train time, travelling time, beginning and ending time of activities, etc). However, we found that the chocolate/cheese tour was changed from Lucerne to Zurich. The train we have was not going to Lucerne but to Zurich. - there was a day that he arranged a 12 hour tour canyoning adventure in Interlaken. We found out there was actually minimum of 4 hours transfer time (~240km) with only 3 hours involve in canyoning and maybe a few hours of free time. - we then have multiple messages and a phone call with him about the itinerary on June 5. This was the first time he committed that we would not able to visit Lucerne at all. We were so disappointed and felt that we were cheated. - my family, a party of 4, decided to stay in Interlaken instead of Zurich on the last 2 days of the trip in order to minimize the travel time and also arranged our own transportation and activities to visit Lucerne. We asked him if it's possible to cancel our hotel rooms (2 rooms x 2 nights) in Zurich and get full refund. We repeatedly told him to confirm with us before he cancels if we cannot get full refund. Our hotel in Zurich was Sorell Hotel Zurichberg which is a 4-star hotel and costs USD390/night per room on the hotel website. This time, he acted really fast as he canceled our hotel room on the same day that we told him to find out if it can be cancelled and get full refund. He advised us we could only get back USD300 for 2 rooms x 2 nights!!!!!!! We were shocked and asked him if it was a full refund, he ignored and did not answer our question. We were extremely upset.

Fantastic experience: Did two trips with these folks and absolutely amazing experience - tailored, great comms on the portal with all information for everyone who is traveling - all details transparent and able to update intermittently. Great for group planning or family! The local agencies in the countries work like a clock and are proven service providers of exceptional quality and at the right price.

Fantastic experience: We used Paula Adams to help coordinate a group trip to Australia from the US. She did an exceptional job coordinating the logistics of the trip and suggesting some excursions and activities that we may have missed out on. Everything was seamless and we could just enjoy our vacation. Highly recommend kimkim and exploring Australia! It was truly magical.

Negative experience: We used Kimkim for the first time for an extended family trip to Spain. They contract with subpar companies such as “Hidden in Spain” that led us to experience a lot of delays, stress, anxiety and confusion. Once you book with Kimkim, they redirect all your questions and concerns to their local contractors so that we were forced to interact with Luis and Paola from “Hidden in Spain”. Only 1/2 of the info in our itinerary from Luis was correct. Pickup times, where to meet our drivers/guides, sizes of tours— very little matched up to reality. This made our family vacation (ages ranging from 9 to 80 yrs old) less than ideal, especially since none of us speak Spanish. Would not recommend Kimkim nor Hidden in Spain to those looking to book an enjoyable vacation in Spain. Had we known we would be left to our own devices once landing in a foreign country, we could have saved a lot of money by coordinating the trip ourselves. Spare yourselves a lot of stress and hassle and find a different company to use for your travels. We have travelled extensively throughout the world and by far this was the most disappointing and hassle-filled trip due to the lack of correct and clear communication and coordination from Hidden in Spain. As one of MANY examples: on departure day, we were told that a private van would arrive at our hotel to pick us up for the airport at 7:15 am. All 10 in our party woke up early, rushed through breakfast, and were waiting with our luggage at the curb promptly at 7:10 until 7:50 am. No van ever came (we called and discovered that our airport transfer was never confirmed by Hidden in Spain, so the van was not coming at all) and here we are scrambling to call 3 taxis on our own dime to transport us to our International flight on time. What a disappointing way to remember our last day in Spain. With so many other tour operators, do not select this company to work with!! Would give negative stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: There are many travel agencies offering local guides, but Kimkim is different. Besides the attention to detail that they took at every step, they offer a local concierge. When everything goes well, she offers reminders of the next day tour, name of a guide or driver and gps directions, which are very helpful and convenient, but when something goes wrong, like a blown tire in the middle of nowhere, 2 people from the agency were hard at work negotiating and arranging a new car, sending help to gps location and every other support that we needed in the foreign country without speaking Italian. THIS KIND OF HELP IS PRICELESS!!!

Fantastic experience: KIMKIM was extremely helpful with planning our trip to Croatia and Slovenia. We were connected to a local agent who kept in touch before and during the trip. He helped with all of our plans: rental car, drivers, tour guides, hotels, and restaurants. I don't think our trip would have gone as well without his help.

Fantastic experience: We have used Kim Kim 2 consecutive times for our international trips and would highly recommend them. Makes planning a trip to a foreign destination so much easier as they know the area, where to stay, which hotels or resorts are best for your plans, arrange all the excursions and experiences and, maybe most importantly, take care of all the transportation throughout your trip which can be a huge headache. We will continue to use them for our vacations.

Fantastic experience: Our experience with KimKim was amazing. They made our 10-day trip to Portugal a memorable experience by taking care of everything. The tours were especially off the chain - we asked for hiking experiences and we got them. Everyone one of our tour guides was a local and knew his/her stuff. 100% fun, 100% satisfied. Positive experience: We were very hesitant to use Kim Kim’s travel agency, since it was our first time working with them. But our travel advisor was great and helpful in answering our question and editing our trip as needed. She was also patient with us. The only negative thing, is that we did not realize we would have to use public transportation to get to all our excursions and tours. Although, using the public transportation in Europe was easily and efficient.. we would have been more prepared. Would book with them again!

Fantastic experience: Visiting Japan was a lifelong dream of ours. Since we’ve been together, we’ve talked about it, dreamt about it, and saved money for it. Finally, after 20 years, we decided to make it happen. Even though Mount Fuji didn’t show her face, we had a fantastic time and shared many laughs. To Son, who showed us around Kyoto and Osaka: thank you for the deep and interesting conversations about history and religion, and for taking us behind the temples! In Osaka, we cannot forget Tea. During the Foodie tour, he left us with smiles, full bellies from the incredible food, and great conversations about movies. We even enjoyed a drink together after the tour. In Hiroshima, we had Masako, who provided a very detailed and informative day. Thank you! Overall, it was an unforgettable journey. Thank you, everyone! We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and a wealth of new knowledge. KimKim was worth every cent.

Positive experience: We used kimkim to plan a 16-day trip around England. They were very helpful in suggesting places to see, arranging details of tours, arranging hotels and train schedules.
