Fantastic experience: My husband and I took our four children and my parents to this show a couple days ago. Our children (ages between 5 and 10) loved it! The host/judge/announcer was knowledgeable and witty. There was lots of fun banter between the lumberjacks and the crowd. My parents (in their 70s) also thoroughly enjoyed it. There are opportunities for crowd participation. Everything seemed to be about maximizing the fun for everyone. We thought it would be neat to show our kids something different, and so bought tickets on a whim. I’m so glad we did. When discussing our trip to Michigan with the kids, the Jack Pine Lumberjack Show ranked at the top of the favorite things lists.

Fantastic experience: This show was so fun and entertaining. I came with my 60 year old mom and 6 year old son, both were super into it. I would recommend this any day, the price was okay. I wouldn’t have paid more for it, but also wouldn’t say it was worth less. Also be aware you CAN BRING YOUR OWN COOLER! I wish I knew this before hand haha, it was a lot of fun and a great way to end our makinaw trip!

Fantastic experience: The Jack Pine Lumberjack Shows are a must-see see if you visit Northern Michigan. The Spring Board Chop, Speed Climb, Log Roll, and Boom Run are all extreme skill contests you'll get to see performed by the world's best Lumberjacks. Throw in some well placed humor, a nice covered grandstand, and you've got some affordable entertainment that the entire family can enjoy. I highly recommend this stop for sure!

Positive experience: A fun, family show! There is currently a $2 per ticket discount when you order online. Grandstand seating (covered area, aluminum bleachers) was nice and shady for the 7:30pm show. Reasonably priced concessions. TIMBEEERRRRRRRRRR!

It was impressive to see two Lumberjacks competing and involving the audience. Dan, who was the MC and judge was awesome. We also enjoyed chatting with him afterwards. The show itself was entertaining and kind of silly with cheesy jokes, but also fun to watch because.... lumberjacks. Two thumbs way up! I would go back, it's a fun inexpensive thing to do.

Positive experience: the show was adequate and entertaning for kids. i give it a 3 for average tourist attraction. Perhaps a bit pricey for about an hour of entetainment maybe compared to nearby Fort for less money and several hours

Fantastic experience: Such an exciting and funny show! We saw it originally almost 15 years ago and finally went back with our kids, they loved it as well as we did. They are young teens and were laughing and fully engaged the entire time. The competitors go all out, they are either fresh out of forestry college, or compete at the pro level in the Stihl competitions. Point being, they do not hold back! HIGHLY recommend checking it out, a show for all ages.

Fantastic experience: I went with my 3rd graders class for a field trip and all the kids loved the show. Very well put together with lots of jokes and fun competitions. Afterwards you would've thought the kids met celebrities as the "fought" over wood scraps to get signed by the lumberjacks.

I highly recommend that anyone in a "TIMBER" earshot to go see a show. FYI, we bought 2 adult tickets online and got $2 off each ticket.

Fantastic experience: This is a MUST DO attraction! First off, the staff is awesome. We stopped in before they were open and Dan happened to see us enter the parking lot and came over and allowed us to purchase tickets and even gave us a coupon to save a couple of bucks. You can't beat the price, about the same as lunch at McDonalds and far more rewarding. I express some concerns to Dan about my wife's health issues and he walked me into the arena and allowed me to see if she was capable (which she was) and even saved us some seats. The show is fun, awesome and educational. I will never complain about splitting my firewood again! We tend to take it for granted how hard and dangerous life was in the earlier part of America. The show offers several skills such as log rolling, axe throwing, pole climbing, spring board and many others. There is a lot of comedy mixed in as well. The crowd is separated into 2 camps so that each can cheer on their lumberjack and boo the other. Children were also incorporated into the show. We enjoyed it so much we will probably go again this labor day weekend. They do have a concession stand with snacks and souvenirs. I bought my wife a small bear which all three men signed. Thank you guys for a night I will remember always!

Fantastic experience: When I first bought tickets, I thought “oh it’s just going to be another touristy thing.” Boy, was I wrong! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the show, thought it was entertaining and fun! We laughed, we cheered, and we also learned something about lumberjacks. Before we left, I made sure to express my appreciation for the fun night! What a great experience in Mackinaw! Put any preconceived notions aside and have some fun!

From axe throwing to log rolling, there was never a dull moment. It's a fantastic way to bond, have fun, and create lasting memories together.
