Negative experience: I think it is worth giving 1 star. They did a discrimination with me not sure on what basis, I drove all the way 30 miles and what I was told that they are short staffed and they cannot take any more couple. But what I saw that more couple went in who came after me. It just looks like a big scam. Someone from inside told that I did not qualify for the presentation while front desk said short staffed. If they were short staffed then why did they even called me? It was a wastage of coming there and wasting all my Friday after hours. Already sent an email to the customer service, but not expecting any response... Be aware...

Negative experience: I pray everyone reads this and does not fall for it. This is a scam. Notice that the only 5 stars you see are people commenting on the presentation, there are NO comments from actual members who are enjoying the services. They tried to sell us on this yesterday and then their entire faces changed when we declined. It was heartbreaking because one couple thought they won a trip to Bali. There will be no trip to Bali. There is also no free vacation. This is a scam and a ploy to take advantage of families who can’t afford to travel. After paying them 10k and getting nothing you could’ve just taken your family on a very nice trip. Also paying 10k for a lifetime doesn’t even make sense from a legal perspective. The company could go out of business tomorrow. I just highly recommend you think logically and do not move forward with this. They don’t want you on your phone, they turn the music up very loud, and they want you to sign the dotted line before they answer any questions. Don’t do it.

Negative experience: RIP OFF/SCAM! Any free trips they promise are not free. They offer vouchers from 3rd party vendors, then make you pay the tax and you have an extremely limited window to claim the trip. They are vultures that's will pick your pockets clean of any money they can get their greasy beaks on. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!

Negative experience: DONT DO IT!!!!!! Don’t give them 50 bucks. Don’t give them 1 second or hours of your time. Read the reviews. Don’t expect to get your money back. Or free vacation. Building was sketch. I was convinced we were in a new escape room movie. Scam scam scam. Not to mention our salesperson was definitely on drugs.

Negative experience: If I could give them zero stars I would. We were attending a concert at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, TX when I was handed a ticket to enter into some kind of contest. Turns out it was a "spin the wheel" setup and I supposedly won a free vacation to Hawaii. That is where I should have known better and walked away. Instead, their salesmen talked me into paying a refundable $50 to attend a presentation for their vacation club. After attending the presentation, I would get my $50 back and the free Hawaii vacation whether or not we purchased anything. I will say they hire the best salesmen on the planet. The presentation was very well done and very convincing to everyone there. I did notice that everyone there seemed like low income families (no judgement being made here) and that enrages me even more now, looking back, that these people were scammed just like we were. We figured that it didn't seem too good to be true, it wasn't a bunch of free stuff, but if we went on 2-3 vacations a year it would save us some $$$ annually, so we decided to purchase the membership based on all the things we were promised and shown to be true. Once we agreed on terms, they took us a small single desk office to go over all the fine print (which was more paperwork than when we bought our house) and they recorded the audio of the entire exchange (and our verbal consent to terms). This should have been red flag #2. They gave me a $50 gift card and we left. Now comes the bad part. We were hesitant to buy for a while because the price was so high, so they bribed us with 3 free vacations (including the before-mentioned Hawaii trip) that we could use outside of our membership. Once we started to schedule these trips, we soon discovered that they were purchased by GEVC from a travel agency and that travel agency is horrible. Those trips had so many restrictions and added fees that the vouchers were basically pointless. Then we started to try and book a trip with our membership using the points. Once again, we ran into hotels and resorts saying they don't have any availability for us (they had plenty of availability when my wife called and didn't mention our membership with GEVC) and they also added "resort fees" which added up to almost what the full trip would cost without going through GEVC. This is when the panic set in. We tried to book several more vacations and the same thing happened. We realized that this membership was pointless and then felt the burn of scam. There was nothing we could do because we signed tons of paperwork agreeing to their scam. We got the first bill for our "annual maintenance fee" and didn't know what to do. My wife called and was told that we could just not pay it, that our membership would be in a suspended state, but then we could just pay the maintenance fees in the future to restore the membership status, no biggie. We then decided a few months later to try and plan a trip to see if anything changed but we couldn't even log into our account since our membership was suspended. We then got a letter saying that since we did not pay our annual maintenance fee they were going to "repo" our membership like it was a car or something. Oh well, lesson learned. Then we got another letter saying that not only has our relationship been terminated but we still owe money. They think we still owe money for a membership we paid several thousand dollars for and never got to use once. That's right, this is. TOTAL SCAM. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. I have no idea how these people are not in prison. Finally, the icing on the cake was that the $50 gift card they gave me got declined when I tried to use it at the grocery store. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!!!

Fantastic experience: We really weren’t sure what to expect but so happy we were able become a part of the GEVC family! Eli did a Great job explaining the program, Ryan was a great help & added some additional perks, & Melissa was so patient & kind with all the paperwork! Negative experience: This people are horrible once they get the money. I gave them money $50 in texas fair then they invite me for meeting without kids. once i go there they didn't talk and gave two voucher and said go through the paper and call them. Also I asked them to return the deposit $50 to original payment method. two weeks i didn't receive the payment then i call several times to customer care and asked for money. Then they return it. which is really frustration. I recommend not to go with this company. They are just playing with ours money.

Fantastic experience: I was VERY hesitant to go, but we attended the presentation in Irving. Jason and Frank were our sales team and were very knowledgeable and professional. The deal they offered just didn't fit our current stage of life. They did not harass us in any way when we declined. Within 15 minutes we were on our way home. We were offered either a gift card or a refund to our credit card of the $50 we had paid in advance of the presentation. I received our refund in 6 days as promised. Now I'm working with Casablanca Express for our cruise. It's a process but it is all spelled out in detail. When we signed up for the presentation we were aware of the requirement to pay the "taxes" on the cruise and the process. When comparing the price of the cruise from Casablanca to other online offerings, it's equivalent to a buy one get one free.

Negative experience: Our experience with G.E.V.C. in Irving, TX was nothing short of AWFUL. They lured us in with promises of a 90-minute presentation and free cruise, but it was a complete waste of time. If you say “no” to their offer, they treat you like you don’t matter, and you’re made to wait for hours before they give you back your $50 & let you go. It’s disrespectful and manipulative. The whole process felt like a scam, designed to wear you down. Their customer service was dismissive, and it was clear they didn’t care about actually helping you. You’re much better off planning your own vacation rather than going through them and paying them – trust me, you’ll save time, money, and frustration. P.S we got here at 1:45 and they didn’t let us leave until 5:30. If you have a baby don’t do it! They make you get a sitter since no kids are allowed,&as a nursing mom anything over 2-3 hours is a no go. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of G.E.V.C.!

Negative experience: You have to sit for a 90 minute presentation. Offer you a vacation package and if you don't buy they are rude about it! They give you a free 2 night 3 day vacation for 2 for coming to the presentation, BUT when you read the fine lines on the brochure you have to pay a deposit of $250 to book the vacation. So it's really not completely free!

Negative experience: So….. Eli the representative/salesman was lovely, truly a wonderful human and genuinely cared!!!! Loved him, this review IS NOT FOR HIM, solely this review is for awareness of the “FREE GIFT” The trouble started once we said we couldn’t financially afford to commit to purchasing, we just wanted our free gift that we “won” no strings attached everything included. Well, it is a massive run around that the people that are offering don’t even have the answers. You need to mail in your “free gift” with a check for $50 PER PERSON. ALSO, to note the sales rep on the phone sold us the “free gift” under completely different pretenses, so very misleading. So there ARE strings attached. Not only that but the bonus gift isn’t even what they said, a $100 dining gift card is actually a discount card applicable to specific locations for only a specific max amount per location. VERY LIMITED! Not to mention we were told it would be a 90 minute presentation, we arrived at 1:45 and left at 4:20!!!! What they have to offer is a great package and a great opportunity if you can afford it (best on the market tbh) but to get here is misleading, a lot of false pretenses and frankly a potential great waste of time as they specifically target middle class individuals who are enticed by the carrot at the end of a stick.

Negative experience: We came in after winning a free cruise at a TX Rangers game. They have you pay $50 to "secure your spot" but frankly from that it already didn't make sense. Why would I have to pay for something I won. However I figured that I either loose $50 or I loose a free cruise so I went for it. We went today and since the start it's a great sale strategy. From the very start you have your sales person with you until the very end. You don't get a chance to talk to anyone else or to have a moment to think about it. Two things that I found a little fishy was that in the group presentation the speaker was talking about the bad reviews and how hard it is to keep everyone happy after 50yrs of business yet there big sales pitch was that they were celebrating their 20yr anniversary. So is it 50yrs or 20yrs? Then at the end he said " I normally don't do this but I'll even throw in 1k to the first person who buys." But after when we were talking to the manager he said " Oh did he wave around the 1k certificate I gave him for you guys. " I know they don't seem like much but personally even the small things show the integrity and honesty of the company. That aside the membership itself seems good until you actually think about it. The membership is $11,885 + $395 of HOA so let's say 12k. With it you get 10k pts a year for a "free week stay" at a resort/villa. But if you think about it, a week stay to pay in cash would be pretty much the same or even less then the 12k you each year for the membership. After you get discounted prices on other locations. Now the discounts are good BUT the whole thing is JUST for the hotel. This doesn't include airfare, vehicle, food etc. They sale you on the fact that because it's cheaper you can go more but In really I don't think many people are going to go cause frankly in this economy just the airfare is sometimes more expensive then the hotel. Personally that 12k you pay for your membership Is more then enough to get you a good deal with your hotel, airfare, vehicle and activities included by just buying it on your own. Now Kelly, our salesperson, was absolutely amazing. He is really good at talking and has a very likeable personality. Had It not been for the fact that I pray before making big decisions I probably would of bought it at the spur of the moment. We were given a gift card at the end to refund the $50. Before leaving I checked the balance and it was $50. However when I went to go use it, it kept declining. I read some reviews that said similar so I am going to fight to get my money cause I did not just pay them $50 for them to try and sale me something. As far as the cruise the lady just gave us a brochure to mail out for use to be able to get our cruise but frankly at this point all I am thinking is "if it's too good to be true, it probably is."
