Tornado & El Expreso Bus Company El Paso

Negative experience: It's a shame to pay for a service and that during 12 hours of travel they don't even stop to buy water. This pair of women are rude and have provided terrible service, mistreating people. Terrible service, and it's all because of these two ladies. This has never happened to me before.

Positive experience: Excellent service, just one detail: the concierge at the El Paso Texas office took almost two hours to clean the restrooms and was very rude when I asked if we could go in. He seemed to think he was more important than he was. This happened on Sunday, the 17th of 2023 at 5:00 PM. The floor had already been drying for a while, and he made it clear that he would only let us in when he felt like it. I told the office staff, and they said he was in charge of that until he felt like letting us in. With all due respect, one deserves better treatment. Thank you very much.

Negative experience: Each time getting worse the schedule security, I lost 2 flights in Dallas because this bus runs very late from Midland TX to Dallas. They say it’s more than an hour and I left Midland today at 2 AM...for God's sake, correct these bad habits.

Negative experience: The service they have at the reception is not worth it. You call to ask for information and they just hang up on you because you are asking about schedules, prices, and hours. This morning, there was a lady who was a bit more patient, but a gentleman just hung up the call simply. If he doesn't like this type of work, he shouldn't be there. Hire people with more kindness; these jobs require it.

Fantastic experience: The truth is that the bus was a bit uncomfortable, but the driver was very kind. They should provide another bus so that he can be comfortable as well, and the passengers too.

Negative experience: It doesn't stop in small towns, and that makes you spend more to get where you want; they just move to big cities!

Negative experience: Today I went to pay with a card and besides the girl only saying 'one moment, I'm talking to the guy', she took a long time, and then I went to pay with a CARD and they told me they don't accept card payments, that they have never had card payments, and every time I have been there I have paid with a card.

Fantastic experience: The service is very bad and they are very unpunctual. What I dislike the most is that there are no early departures from El Paso to Dallas, just like from Dallas to El Paso, TX. Since there are no early departures, they should have a place where one can rest all day; it is very stressful. I have been a customer for 5 years, but due to the worsening service, I will no longer travel on these buses.

Fantastic experience: I took the bus from Dallas to El Paso, and the ride was good. It took 12 hours sitting down, but the price was good. Sure beats driving.

I made my reservation online but one of the girls said it's better not to do it that way because they send them by a truck that isn't theirs. It's better to call and do it over the phone. They were very kind. She helped us and made sure we had our seats. She also said that if someone is running late, just call and let them know and they will wait for you. That is indeed good customer service. Thank you very much!!!

Negative experience: Terrible, they gave me the transfer tickets three days later, when it was supposed to be in a few hours. They didn't change my ticket, I paid for a hotel and had to buy another ticket. The seats were uncomfortable.

Negative experience: The bus was to pickup customers @ 2:10am in Odessa Texas, it's now 3:00am. No show, had to call cs rep to find out it's an hour away, Humberto unpleasant and very aggressive reminded me that it's not an airplane which has no traffic to contend with, also threatened to change fare to different day since I expressed concern over lack of communication and proffesionalism. I know that one customer probably won't make a difference since I will not use this service again . Yet here it is x all those who take time to gather information before making unwise decisions and choosing a poorly organized and ineffective transportation company. CSR Humberto wasn't even apologetic, but rude and indifferent towards the inconvenience and problems that arose x the 3 hour delay, thank you Tornado, keep raising prices and lowering your customer service standards.

Then I took my trip with my daughter; it was the best decision.

Negative experience: This is real sad we lost are buss ticket for a wrong date and a mistake and we they don't want to move your ticket for another day they just keep the money and said if you lose your day to live you lose your money this is real sad because we all people work hard for our money and paid are taxes and everything they shouldn't have people like this open to the public . Negative experience: I did not respect a trip. Although I already had my ticket in hand, they just call to cancel the trip themselves... on the same day. And the worst part is 'their internal policy' of no refunds. They only change the date and see if there are availabilities. Terrible service. It was going to be my first time traveling with that line. Debut and farewell. Think very carefully before paying for a ticket with them. It was leaving from El Paso, TX at 8 pm on August 21, 2022.

Positive experience: They told my mom they didn't have any more room on the bus she needed then when I went in with her, they did have room. When I went in, the ladies seemed nice and patient.

Negative experience: Efficient service, it's just that they don't have a card payment terminal, yes gentlemen, EL PASO TEXAS, and they don't offer that service. The ticket does not indicate the arrival time, only the departure time. The person selling the tickets doesn't know; ask the driver, and they are that disorganized, but they attend quickly.

Negative experience: Bad service, I spoke with Sulema and she told me that she is the manager at El Tornado in El Paso, TX. The manager did not give me the ticket price over the phone and just charged me and more, and she came up with that they don’t allow asking the age of the passengers and that's why she didn't give me a discount for adults. She didn't know which bus it was, whether it was double or normal, and she didn't know which seat. I do not recommend El Tornado buses in El Paso. Very poor customer service interaction.

Fantastic experience: Great bus to get to Austin from here. Great options when compared with GreyPound. They're cleaner and friendly, the bus drivers seem to really care about their customers and won't leave anyone behind at scheduled stops. There is WIFI at the station and on the buses too. As long as you are not in the middle of the desert there's decent internet. Again, this company seems to value its cleanliness of its vehicles. Thanks for the comfort.

Negative experience: The truck is always delayed. More than 14 hours waiting in Dallas, TX for the other truck. The secretaries that assist you have their faces all upset and are very rude. The bathrooms in Dallas are very dirty.

Negative experience: The online seating chart did not coincide with the seating on the bus. I sat in a row where it was cramped due to an overweight person who took up more than one seat. The seats were small and stiff. I did not have a seating charger. I would not take tornado again.

Negative experience: They have very friendly staff at the station in Dallas and El Paso, TX, except at the Grand Plaza station in Fort Worth, TX, where I was not allowed to use the restroom. The staff there were very incompetent and tyrannical. I tried to file a complaint at the number they gave me in Dallas, and a man with the last name Salas said he would call me back, but I was never contacted to address my complaint.

All love for Greyhound, but Tornado any day. It's my go to for the red eye to Midland. Why drive through west Texas when they can handle it.

Positive experience: Inexpensive, fast and safe. The staff at the Paisano location was extremely nice. Seating needs more cushioning. The bus has two drivers. One drives half of the way and the next drivers takes over. Knowing this me feel safer. Most of the time there is only one stop for a break. It seems to be a popular company for many people coming from Mexico.

Fantastic experience: I just traveled from Dallas to El Paso and was a smooth trip. The drivers were very good. They made sure everyone was on board to not leave anyone behind. They gave us a good 20 minute break half way to refuel and had like 3 stops that I consider good compared to other companies. I liked that even though we had bad weather rain, and fog. The driver drove carefully and safety was first. I do recommend considering them for your next trip I had and excellent experience.

Positive experience: Online booking seemed to have worked at first; we received a message on the laptop that it was successful and we would get a confirmation email. After several hours, we still hadn't received an email, so I contacted the company via email and on Facebook. They informed me there was an issue with the website and the booking didn’t go through. We then booked at the office on-site on the same day of departure. The woman spoke good English and explained everything to us. We were able to leave our luggage at the office. The bus started on time and was completely full. After about 20 minutes of travel, there was the first 15-minute break. Two hours later, there was a brief check by border officials (passport and ESTA). There were no more breaks afterward, which was very exhausting on a 12-hour trip. The seats were comfortable and could recline. The bus driver spoke only Spanish, which is frustrating in an English-speaking area (country!) if you don't speak Spanish.

Positive experience: This bus has top and bottom seating. I was on the top #1 window seat which was a little nerve wreaking being so high up and seeing the road the whole trip. I struggled getting up the steep steps to my seat. I will say that it was a cold night and a very cold ride but it was a smooth ride. Hardly any stops on my way to Ft. Worth and it stopped to drop me off 10 minutes from home. Seats are too close together.
