Fantastic experience: Great place for insurance..... travel and more

Negative experience: Went to my local AAA office here in Whittier, California for travel quotes. Met with travel agent Hector Arias. We sat with him for about an hour. He wrote down our traveling dates, destinations we were considering, and our budget. He said he would search and get back to us with price quotes from the different destinations in a few days. Never heard from him again. I was really surprised/ disappointed with Hector. Is this the world class AAA brags about? It’s horrible service.

Negative experience: Guess im a little pissed when writing this, but wen in to renew registration,they would not take my debit card w visa logo, they need cash or an actual credit card. So had to leave after waiting in line and come back n wait again

Fantastic experience: Donna, is a great supervisor! I had a minor issue but she resolved it very quickly, effectively, professionally and very knowledgeable. Also, thanks to the employees whom were very professional as well. Thanks for being patient with me.

Negative experience: Writing this review in regards to our experience calling the AAA Whittier Insurance & Member services on Saturday 12/9/23 at 11:50am. My girlfriend was placed on hold for 30+ minutes after requesting a declaration of her policy. After feeling that she was left forgotten on hold, my girlfriend called the office from a separate phone number. Her call was picked up my a woman in Sales, who did not state her name. The woman stated that they are typically busy on Saturdays, which is completely understandable. My gf then asked for this woman’s name, and her exact response was “I already gave it to you, so it’s not my fault if you didn’t hear it the first time”, and then hung up the phone! In disbelief, we decided that we should go to the branch office in person because clearly this woman does not care about her job or providing any level of customer service to clients. We will be writing to corporate about this incident and switching providers for our entire family as a result of this appalling experience.

Negative experience: This review is for the AAA membership. Most people get the membership for the emergency roadside assistance specifically towing and AAA is very aggressive in selling their membership. I’ve been a member for about four years and I’ve used to service twice for simple job such as jump start and flat tire change. Today for the first time I requested a long distance tow. Not sure what the policy is with their contractor tow companies but I waited over 2 1/2 hours because the assigned station did not have a long-distance driver which I think is not true. What I believe is their contracted price with AAA doesn’t pay them enough so it’s not worth it for contractors to take a long distance tow if there are other jobs available where they make more money. So for AAA to sell such a service and does not have contractors are willing to take the job in a timely manner is a poor standard in their membership. I’ve waited almost 4 hours which, for my time is much more than the membership that I paid. Luckily this it wasn’t an emergency situation. AAA really needs to reassess their long distance, towing service and the contracted amount with the local tow yards.

Negative experience: Is this DMV or AAA.? Lines and waiting time in the back section for DMV services was ridiculous !! Only 2 people and we'll over 20 people waiting. What's going on? AAA was the best and now it's not looking worth the membership

Positive experience: Very helpful staff. Not enough serving the DMV clients in the back. Waited way too long to get called up to get service.

Positive experience: Overall they offer so many great services. Insurance, DMV services, Vacation services, etc.

Fantastic experience: Good customer service and good insurance but if you're going to renew your tags there have cash or a major credit card on you.

Negative experience: Been a member 6 years, last 3 times i have had a dmv issue there. Went there over 2 weeks ago for out of state title transfer. Gave me plates all seems good..Just got a letter yesterday from them saying I need a title history report to get my CA title. Went to dmv and they said there is no reason. Thanks for wasting 2 weeks of me getting my title.

Negative experience: Inquired about renewing my triple a insurance and I told the male representative I don’t want to pay $4,000 for the year and he hung up. Going elsewhere, problem solved.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been with TRIPLE AAA auto insurance for 3 years now and I have saved tons of money with them! When I first started looking for auto insurance I didn’t even consider them but I said, “Why not?! It doesn’t hurt to get an quote.” I submitted an online estimate and the next day Cindy Garcia reached out to me and provided me with a quote. A few other agents reached out as well but weeks later; Cindy reached out right away. She was/is very knowledgeable and friendly. I also recommended Cindy to one of my coworkers and he switched over to Triple AAA auto insurance as well. Cindy always provides great customer service, if you’re looking to save money, reach out to her for a quote today!

Fantastic experience: Dmv did not send my registration card, either because it was lost or never sent out. Therefore, I drove to the AAA store, before I knew it, I was in and out in 5 minutes! Documents were processed, the person who helped me, (also had some cool tattoos) asked me if I needed my registration card. When everything was completed, I received my card, and I was on my way… Very satisfied, thank you for the help! Will definitely be back in the future to process my dmv paperwork.

Negative experience: Called AAA because I had questions about renewing drivers license and also in regards to applying for a real ID and the recorded message said to go to their website for more accurate information. Went to website where it said they did provide the services, real ID required starting application process online. Decided to proceed with regular renewal going into local branch. Well obviously online information not the most accurate information as they told me at branch they are no longer doing drivers license renewals or real IDs, wasted time and a trip for nothing. Thanks AAA. They should update their information online or pick up the phone at branch.

Fantastic experience: Always a breeze when it comes to doing all my DMV related business here. I was in and out in under 20 min. Very nice alternative to going into the DMV

Fantastic experience: Everyone I've been in contact with here has been so helpful and nice!! The check in process was a little confusing. It was my first time here and since both check-in employees were busy when I walked in, I didn't know where to go, but once I figured it out everything was smooth from there. Definitely recommend this place!

Your lack of customer support for a simple address change has me wondering what was so difficult for your staff member to handle. No worries, I handled the situation directly with D.M.V. Negative experience: I went there to renew my placard for another 6 Mos. Usually everybody is super friendly, not this time, this gentleman helped me in the past, not friendly at all, not polite at all. I have been a member for 42years, very discouraged of this person still working there. By the way, that place looks like a toy store, too much stuff hanging on the walls of the cubicles.

Negative experience: Have been on hold for 45 mins now....no check back to see if i'm still on the line.

Positive experience: Seems a little disorganized, even on a weekday everything seems to take forever. Forget going on a weekend unless you have all day to wait. Other Auto Club offices seem to take much less time and much less drama. We have had issues with travel, insurance, and DMV, all relating to that office. Unfortunately it is only about 5 blocks from our house; so we always give it one more chance.

Negative experience: If you are going to have customers wait outside during extreme heat, can you please place an ez up to provide shade. Customers are wearing masks so what is still the issue? Provide sanitizer at the entrance and bring in a temperature check machine but consider what you're doing to your CUSTOMERS especially the elderly when you demand they stay outside!

Negative experience: Looong lines On the first Monday of the month and only 2 people working the DMV lines (non-registration). Two middle aged women who really really belong at the real DMV based on their attitude and speed of service

Fantastic experience: They practice social distancing, the line wasn't to long. They call you in one by one. I had 3 car registrations due, was in and out within 15-20mins. They take cash, check and credit card. No debit card with a visa or mastercard. Must be a credit card and you will be charged a 2.3% surcharge.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful I went in to get Notory stamp only 6 bucks with AAA CARD They do offer even if your not a member, don't no how much I'm sure not to much, keep that in mind...

Positive experience: I believe the service they provide is great. But i didnt know you cant use your debit card to pay for your tags it needs to be cash credit or check. The woman who was in the front to help first was incredibly rude and rolled her eyes at me. So i am pretty sure i will not be using this location anymore.

Negative experience: Very long wait, DMV rep asked i get a new smog certificate. Even though I had one done less than 90 days ago. Came back and the next rep did not require it. Way to go, im out 60 bux.

Positive experience: My husband and I had to renew our registrations. We were not allowed to walk in together due to covid; it annoyed me because I had just seen a couple walk in together, then another after we had finished. What gives? My husband was able to get his done, but I want so successful... the guy claimed I had not done my smog check and wouldn't hear it. Should've just walked into the DMV... With the lines they have now, it would've been a faster process. It took us 45 minutes at AAA. Smh.

Negative experience: Ehhh, their stuff there has gotten downhill, especially those that process DMV transactions. I wish I would have gotten the lady that assisted me with my title change, she was rather condescending and her tone was quite patronizing. The only reason I pay for AAA year after year is to avoid that same attitude, guess is back to the DMV if they're going to treat me the same way, at least I'm not paying for the mediocre service we've come to expect from the CA DMV.

Negative experience: I was treated poorly by a racest employee who assumed I didn't have a policy based on my looks gave me a terrible attitude. Because I asked her to double check her system that she made a mistake that I have been a member for over 20 years. I would never go back there or recommend you going if you're not white.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing. Walked up with my mask on. Provided the person working the outside check-in with my AAA information, she asked if it would be okay to get my cell number so they could notify me of when I could enter the building and get help. She offered a waiting area(socially distanced) in the shade, as it was a 108° day and suggested if it was more comfortable I could wait in my car. She said it was going to be about a 40 minute wait 21 minutes later I was in the building being helped by another very proficient AAA employee.

Negative experience: Apparently not taking phone calls right now, how is that helpful? Trying to find out if they offer a specific DMV service, and their website it too vague. Can't find out if they actually can provide a service before coming in? Not very pandemic friendly.

Negative experience: They used to have a good service. Now they charge for DMV work. They only take cash. I'm canceling my membership.
