Negative experience: Terrible service and reliability. The buses leave whenever they want; if you want to get on your bus on time, you might as well camp out for several hours beforehand to see if you get lucky. NOBODY TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANYTHING. Terrible seats, uncomfortable and UNUSABLE for a 2-day trip. Don't take these buses unless you want to have a bad time.
Negative experience: Not a serious business! Changed the time of departure from 3:30 PM to 2:30PM without any notice! The front desk guy said it is a problem from the head office, then I called the head office and said it is a branch office problem. All they are washing out their hands and not taking any responsibility. Unless this is your only option, take it, otherwise find a better option to travel

They act all dignified and even scold you. Expensive tickets, old buses, terrible service. If I could give it minus 100 stars, I would.
Negative experience: Suddenly they changed my bus, without informing me or checking that my luggage was going with me. I almost lost my suitcase on the other side, and I was left waiting for more than an hour for the bus to be ready.

Negative experience: My son had money taken from him during the border check. He is a US citizen and a Mexican citizen, holding dual nationality. I don't think it's fair to pay $300 for the ticket from Chicago to Queretaro, and the transport company cannot prevent this. I believe they are involved in the same scam. I will never send my son with this transport company again. Be careful in case this happens to you too.
Negative experience: Don't travel on this bus. They say to be at 8:50 AM to leave from Coeneo Michoacán to Chicago, and it turns out they make people wait in Morelia until 1 PM, then leave from there stopping at every little town. I asked if it was a direct route without stops at every ranch, and they told me yes, but now it's 6 PM and we're still stopped for more than 1 hour here in a small ranch. Who knows how many more stops they will make. The worst service is here with Autobuses Tornado. I will never travel here again, so better inform yourself well before buying the tickets!

Negative experience: I do not recommend them; they are in very bad condition, the trucks are very old and uncomfortable. On December 19, we traveled to Mexico. There was air coming in from everywhere, it was very cold. Everything was very bad.
Negative experience: Seats not comfortable, dirty, no space between one seat and another. Smoking is not allowed and the drivers smoke all the way, the bathrooms are disgusting and have a very bad smell, the worst movies. And worst of all, drivers with cell phones texting while driving.

Negative experience: I do not recommend it at all. In Chicago, I bought the tickets from the front, and they did not honor them. We were left waiting for 4 and a half hours to transfer in Nuevo Laredo. Super dirty, disgusting. The bus shakes as if it is about to break apart, and for a trip this long, they are irresponsible.
Positive experience: They are punctual in departure. The place is somewhat small and people crowd. The buses have an aesthetic rating of 7. Interior rating 7. Needs a bit more cleaning. Does not meet the WiFi service they offer.

Negative experience: Just because it was our first time traveling throughout the US, I had some personal belongings missing. I was told that the luggage was opened and the workers there had to return the things back inside. I was never able to look at what was going on, but my God, why would the luggage be open during the entire ride? They were all closed. Obviously, my things were stolen from these males. This happened while we were in the middle of crossing the US to the Mexican border. Never using this bus company again. I wish I had evidence in order to sue them. Zero stars from me.

Negative experience: The worst experience of my life, I wouldn't recommend it for anything in the world, the service was terrible from their staff except for one young lady at the window, the drivers were rude, the bus was dirty, it was a complete mess, dirty everywhere, one thing is that they are old buses at an outrageous cost and another very different thing is tolerating bad treatment and poor conditions for their clients, nothing at all is incompatible with kindness and cleanliness. With all due respect, their motto should be (no security, no comfort for our passengers). My experience was so unfortunate that I got off at the border and decided not to continue my trip on that transport. I hope this is a constructive criticism so they can see the significant areas of opportunity this company has to improve and it reaches the right people. Therefore, I absolutely do not recommend it at all, and be careful.
Positive experience: Well the person who was suppose to pick up was late 20 min or so. I ended up driving to the Chicago location for drop off. The people who work here are extremely kind. I do recommend using there services. We tracked the bus only because the person in it is someone that we care about and they really drive well. They follow speed limits and made it to each destination on time. The only thing I would say given the information that was relayed on me is that bring a comfy neck pillow and make sure you don't over sleep because if you miss your bus stop they will not drive you back. Over all she had a good experience I dont know if they have a charging station in the bus. I guess that will be on update for when she gets back ill ask.

Negative experience: Poor communication and they lie about there timing when passengers arrive since I have to drive two hours to Chicago was there at 9am and now being notified it will be til 5 pm .. especially when they are elder andher Mexico phone is not working .

Negative experience: Their bus ran me off the road while trying to change lanes and did not stop or do anything. Passenger took a picture of the bus and when we called the number they kept transferring me or just hanging up. Finally when I got someone to speak to me they said I had to call back the following day and would give me no names or numbers for anyone to reach. Do not use this bus company.

Negative experience: The most stressful trip and the worst, they are super uncomfortable with broken seats and they sell tickets as if it were first class, hahahaha not even fifth class. Moreover, they don't have water in the restroom for handwashing, which is essential during COVID, not even hand sanitizer, and the wait for the transfers, don't even get me started, it's long hours of waiting. The secretaries are super arrogant, and the only good thing is that they say it's direct, because if it weren't, we would be traveling all week. I think it's not fair for passengers like us who travel long hours, even days, with our little kids. Such incompetence on the part of the company; I would never recommend anyone to travel on this TORNADO line. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Negative experience: Terrible service at AUTOBÚS EL TORNADO with no parking or waiting area, they only think about charging and it is not a good place to serve paying customers like us, especially in such a dirty place with only one bathroom for children and adults!!!! It's a disgusting place and you can't ask anything because they are rude, they don't even do that right, and it's their job to inform and treat customers well because their business exists thanks to us.

Negative experience: This company just deceives people all for the sake of selling tickets. They tell you that the bus will leave at a certain time, but the truth is they make you wait until they want to. Well, it is simply until they fill up or try to fill the bus. I traveled from Laredo, TX to Chicago, IL, and they made me wait in the Dallas, TX station for 6 hours. When you asked how long it would take to leave, the only thing they would say is 'the bus is delayed.' But the reality is they were waiting for buses that were coming with people from other states to fill the buses going to different states, including the one to Chicago because they had many buses parked there. This company does not care about making people wait; they only look out for their business, and they don’t remember when they started there if they were direct and punctual.
Negative experience: Very bad service. On a supposedly direct trip from Querétaro to Chicago, 41 passengers were made to wait in Dallas for 3 and a half hours for 3 more passengers to board. Now we are stuck at a gas station. We've been stopped for an hour and a half and who knows how much longer they will take. This is ridiculous.
Negative experience: They sell you open tickets and tell you that you can exchange them, and when you call, they say that you can already exchange them. Don't buy them, I don't recommend them, they are liars.

Fantastic experience: I caught the bus out of Chicago, IL I was the only African American on the bus at 4 pm on 3-18-2022 on my way to LaredoTx, when I tell you everyone treated me wonderful from the passengers to the bus driver to customer service at every stop this was better than Greyhound, I couldn’t speak any Spanish but everyone tried to help me understand everything my drivers (which there is 2 on the bus one sleeps while one drives and vice versa) talked in Spanish then came to me and explained to me how long breaks were and where we were stopping keep up the great work Tornado bus, you guys are worth every dime I spent I don’t mind spending my money on great service like there’s, even the young lady that did my ticket over the phone was great. Negative experience: Tornado is just another company that does not care or cares very little about its customers. I called customer service twice to try and solve a problem with my mom's round trip ticket. It was a simple miscommunication on their part, but now they want to charge my mom twice. They said they would call back within three days to see if they could do an exception, but never even bothered calling. Ms. Juani who is supposed to be the manager for customer service claims this company has been in existence for 30 years, but they don't even know how to solve mistakes made by them.
Negative experience: Waiting for a bus in Champaign, IL. In ticket they say departure is 8.15 am. It became 9.20 am it’s still not here. Called the customer service and asked they said 30-45 minutes delay. After this time passed I asked again and they said they are not responsible from anything. They just ruined my thanksgiving week. Please don’t do any plan by trusting these people if you have money. I feel like I am cheated and lied by this company. Here is update: The bus came after 2 hours and I was missing my flight if I enter that bus. Then I needed to call an Uber to catch my flight. When my Uber came bus also came (at 10:22 am) I said I can not enter bus then I will miss flight. And I didn’t book a bus for 10.22 I booked a bus for 8.15 am. When I call the customer service they said 1. bus came and you didn’t enter so no refund Then I explain the situation to them. 2. Bus came and you were not there so no refund we don’t refund. This situation was pretty stressful and at the end they blamed me as a disrespectful person. I was waiting in that gas station from 8.00- 10.30 for 8.15 am bus. And it didn’t come. I didn’t book a bus for 10.30 am and they said no refund. I really don’t know what to do and in US there is no customer rights place that I can complain about this. Please let me know if there is anything to get back my refund. Thanks

Negative experience: This is the first and last time I use this bus line. We made plans with family, friends, and business meetings. We called the bus company and asked how many bags we could bring with us, and they said 2 bags per person. When we got to the station, they said we could only bring one of the bags, so what are we supposed to do with the other one? The bus was 1 hour and 20 minutes late. The bus driver just said, 'Okay, put your bags in the bus.' The bus driver and the lady at Waukegan station were not really professional. After we asked them to let us bring our bag, they said we could bring the 2 bags if we traveled 2 days later. We ended up leaving the bag at the station. We could not change our plans. Will not use it ever again.

Negative experience: The service was very bad since we entered Texas. They didn't stop to serve food until about 4 hours later. There were sick people with diabetes and 2 pregnant women who were complaining. They need to change their strategies. We were left waiting for 2 hours in a place that I don't know while waiting for a bus change, and they put us on a bus with very cramped seats; they weren't spacious like other buses they have. They gave us the worst bus, and there was no water or soda available. I had a very bad experience. Oh, and another thing, the drivers are not friendly; they are very rude.
