Fantastic experience: I came in with some challenging questions and issues to be resolved, but Esmeralda was very kind and helpful the whole process. I definitely recommend!
Negative experience: Extremely poor service. Someone named "Gloria" added herself and her account to my account. Never heard of her. "Esmerelda" refused to take her off my account. She said she would talk to her manager. Later. When I asked her how I would know it was resolved she asked me to leave. "You need to leave." Rude, offensive, and has no idea what to do. Rather than admit her lack of ability, she wants me to pay for the services Gloria uses on my account. Don't worry, Esmerelda, I am not going anywhere. I do not like being harassed and shamed publicly, and neither do other AAA customers.
Negative experience: I'm a 40+ year member of AAA and I experienced yet another let down in a time of need. On an early September Sunday I drove my 1974 Airstream Argosy to work which is 3 miles away from my home.. It's s 20 footer and as with all airstream be it a motor home or trailer it is quite light. As I pulled in to park, my front passenger tire went flat. I put a call into Triple A and explained that I needed to have some one come out to change for me as the floor Jack I use had been left out of the vehicle. I have expensive roadside assistance as after a previous dilemma I was told that my usual vehicle coverage does not include motor vehicles. At approximately 11 AM I called in to request assistance letting them know very clearly that this was for my motorhome. With in an hour a driver came out and told me he couldn't do it because it was an oversized vehicle. I was told that I needed to call back in and start a whole other request for assistance. Thats what I did and I waited for help. Through a series of texts and multiple phone calls I was told that help was on the way. Then it was that they were looking for someone that could do the job. Then it was It's a Sunday and they were still looking. By around 3PM they said they could have the vehicle towed to somewhere where the tire could be changed. I told them that was ridiculous as I simply needed to have the tire removed than replaced by the spare. By around 4 I was informed that they were still looking. I told them that I closed my shop by Five and that I needed to get home as well as have the vehicle taken of of the street as it was located in an area that was safe enough to have it sit overnight. I was then contacted at around 4:30PM and told that they had finally found someone who could get the job done but it would take an hour to get a driver out there. I gave in and said fine and that I'd sit in the vehicle till a truck arrived. I was then told that my out of pocket expense would be around $500.00 and I was shocked! I asked them what that was about and I was told that a $600.00 maximum is covered then it's up to me to pay the balance. $1000.00 dollars to change a tire right in the middle of San Diego was completely unjustifiable in my way of thinking. I was completely disgusted after 6 hours of the run around and told them to forget it. Moments later I was text that the call had been canceled. I then had someone pick me up and drive me the 3 miles to my house. I loaded the floor jack into my regular vehicle and drove back to my motorhome. By then it was after sunset and getting dark quickly. I precariously jacked the motorhome up myself and changed the tire. At 67 years of age it was not a pleasant experience but I got it done. I drove the motorhome back to my house and had my daughter drive me back to work to relieve my other vehicle. I never heard anything back from AAA. What would have happened if I was traveling out on the open road? How can I have a 300 mile tow allowance but can't get a tire changed three miles from my house? Who would be liable if I had been hurt attempting to do what AAA failed to provide? SO what good is it to even have this coverage only to be abandoned by the company? What a Joke! I won't waist anymore time to complain about other failures I have incurred.
Negative experience: I found the people in this branch similar to the DMV. Not friendly, somewhat sarcastic, and make u feel like a number.
Negative experience: Terrible Roadside Assistance Experience. AAA did not stand behind their warranty for a faulty battery they provided which died due to a bad cell the day after it was installed due to no fault of my own. I spent countless hours on the phone pleading my case but AAA would not stand behind their service/faulty products because of a terrible policy in their terms and conditions. They said I would need to take legal action if I wanted to pursue it further. Cost me $300. Absolutely terrible customer service.
Fantastic experience: Stephanie Fortuna was amazing! She helped me coordinate and book a family cruise for our group of 14. Majority of our group have very little travel experience and she made everything so simple! There was some chaos with some miscommunication with other travel agents and Stephanie stepped right in to clear everything up. I require a lot of communication and can be very detailed oriented and it didn’t bother her at all. Very professional, and we are Thankful!
Negative experience: Can’t even get ahold of anyone to talk to. What even is the point of paying a membership.
Negative experience: Jasmine Gamez is extremely negligent, I’ve called for three weeks about my refund and due to the amount of time it took for anything to be resolved I will not be getting the slightest amount paid back that I paid forward, this company lied saying they could accept me for hazard insurance, cleared my payments sent me an approval packet along with a AAA ID card and then canceled my insurance 20 days later. When I expressed to Jasmine the inconvenience this is causing she asked me to stop and think about how frustrating this is for her, I’m not quite sure why I need to sympathize with someone who’s being paid to do their job. This company is terrible avoid at all costs.
Fantastic experience: A huge THANK YOU to Marissa at the AAA office on Hotel Circle. She was beyond helpful in DMW services with getting my hot mess of a transfer title corrected and saved me from paying extra fees. It's so nice to get really great help especially around DMS stuff. Her help, honesty and value is 100% worth my AAA membership fees. AAA give her a raise! $

Fantastic experience: Forget the DMV. Stop waisting your time and go here!!! Wait times? Whats that! By the time my paperwork was done my name was called and I was out in no time! Thanks to all the staff for making this so easy!
Fantastic experience: Excellent service today, 7/5/24. The local passport photo place in Midway was closed today, so I went the UPS store on Roseceans, a customer ahead of me says says do you have AAA membership? They do them for cheap. I was heading there anyway for my registration renewal today! Wow, $10.00 passport pics, no waiting, DMV registration renewal, sweetest customer service, love this place so much! The passport pics in Midway would have cost $26.00. SO SO SO CONVENIENT!
Negative experience: All the signs in the AAA in mission valley was ask me how to save ask me how to get luggage for $1 why are they asking member to engage. When the agents are lack luster and not engaged at all the they all look like they hate their jobs and they hate people. Just like the CA DMV workers. I would give 0 stars if it wasn’t for the amazing security guard he is welcoming nice warm and engaged happy to be at work happy you came in. Is how he makes everyone feel because he is so good off the charts good!! The people who work in the office not so much. This lady in the parking lot door dings me and walks away says sorry because I confronted her. If you were sorry why would you just be walking away like nothing happened?
Fantastic experience: Just stopped by this location to take care of some pre-travel errands on a Saturday morning. It’s well-staffed, and the employees were friendly and efficient. In and out of there in less than 15 min!
Negative experience: DO NOT COME FOR DMV SERVICES IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME. Have been waiting over an hour just to see someone about a handicap plaq. Also felt dismissed by the ONLY receptionist. This branch does not meet expectations of AAA.
Negative experience: I’ve been to this location and others several times and this one is by far the worse aaa I’ve visited. Always a way longer wait and seems very poorly operated compared to other aaa offices I’ve visited.
Negative experience: Went in with my friend to pay for her insurance and felt dismissed by her agent. Mom goes to CV office and I use Clairemont and have never been disappointed. This office did not hit AAA standards. Bellow my expectations . We walked out and went to a different office that didn't dismiss us.
Fantastic experience: AAA offers fantastic services besides just roadside service, which is well worth their membership fees. Their greatest quality is they assist and step in for the San Diego, CA DMV when they are impossible and their turnaround time is bureaucratically an abomination. They free up so much time, have extremely quick easy interactions, and treat their members with dignity and respect. Thank you guys!!!
Negative experience: over 2 hour wait just to change plates out for custom ones. that took 11 months to be ready for pick up. so stupid !

Negative experience: Thieves. They refused to refund the difference of a bill paid when the error was on their end. They recognized that it was their error but made every excuse not to give a refund Not for profit lmfao, bunch of scammers.
Fantastic experience: Luis from the Angelo’s Towing (with AAA) was amazing. He was able to find us on the highway with a flat. He switched to our spare quickly (because we didn’t have a jack) he was super friendly and professional. Then our car died and he was able to jump it quickly before he left. I was very satisfied with our service and quickness. Thank you again Luis for your help. It was my first experience with AAA and it was very successful.
Fantastic experience: Got my tags faster than the DMV self serve tag kiosk! And they hooked me up with a dealership that's giving me a deal for $2000 less than the dealership I was going to go through!

Negative experience: Don't waist your time here for DMV services, DMV it self is faster, many other places in SD do DMV services for a fee. If you value your time, better pay. Very short staff attending. After waiting 1h at the window they said they don't accept debit card for DMV services, only cash or check, why when you check in they don't said that? DMV it self accept debit cards. Never again. away!

Negative experience: Came to change my name on my title of my car. I tried to do it about a month ago at the dmv but I hadn’t paid off my car all the way so they said I needed to do that first before I can legally change it. So I paid it off, called ahead to triple aaa to make sure they can do this service for me so that I wouldn’t have to go back to the dmv. So I get here, the lady at the front desk seems like she has no idea what I need to be filling out, so she hands me a single piece of paper to do the name change on the title and request a new replacement title… keep in mind I went through this with the dmv recently and there were a couple of forms that I had to fill out… I explained this to her and she was like oh maybe fill this one out too…. Ummm maybe? Isn’t this your job to know what forms I need to fill out… I ended up leaving because I felt that it would be a waste of time to possibly fill out the wrong forms, pay extra to do so and then have to come back later to complete it again… No thanks, I’d rather just suffer at the dmv once and get it right the first time. Train your employees triple aaa!
Negative experience: The customer service staff is professional and helpful. But AAA SoCal has a problem with the vendors that they are using. I had my car repaired at a AAA acredited store. Even though I paid probably paid double of what I should have paid for that fix, I got stuck on the side of the highway in the middle of the night because the part that they used failed within 50 miles. Today we requested a battery replacement and they sent the same vendor Advantage Towing twice and who denied service both times, even though the battery on our car was installed by AAA and was under warranty. It is hard to see the value in this service any longer...
Fantastic experience: This place is a DREAM! Forgo the DMV and just come straight here. I have been wrestling with the DMV for replacement stickers for months. Walking into this AAA location everyone was friendly, and I was immediately greeted and pointed in the right direction. After checking in I only sat for about 12 minutes before someone came to help me. Everyone was extremely helpful and in a good mood. The total opposite of the DMV. I was in and out in 20 minutes with stickers in hand. Thanks AAA!

Negative experience: The worst AAA I have ever been too! The check in clerk was short rude and very unprofessional demanding to see my triple A card after I told him I did not have it with me! I told him my name & phone number, I told him I needed my tags; explained I had already paid for them. He continued to ignore me! Then he demanded to see my dmv receipt and paper work before directing to the line I was to wait in! The entire experience was horrible I will never return here and recommend TRPLE A to investigate their protocol procedures in customer service! They have Terrible customer service ! I was treated very poorly with the rest of my visit!
Negative experience: AAA does not do Real ID even though their website says so. I wouldn’t even be mad if they hadn’t danced around the fact that they only verify documents and only with an appointment at only one of their places. , will not be renewing.
Negative experience: This company is an absolute nightmare to be a member with. They don't care about their members, they simply want to get every dime out of you that they can. The incompetence of the customer service team is infuriating. Please find a different company to get your insurance.

Negative experience: I’ve had good experiences in the past with AAA across the country but my first time using roadside assistance here had me waiting for 4 hours . I wanted to cancel immediately but they had already charged me for the full year and I couldn’t be refunded…. I would not trust using roadside assistance again and doubt I will be a return customer in the future. If you have to wait longer then the longest wait time or 4 + hours for service you don’t end up getting because of the wait maybe you should at least be refunded that month.

Negative experience: The staff is efficient but AAA has no consideration for the handicapped people who have to use this facility. Even the handicapped parking is very far from the front door. It seems all transactions must take place at the back of the office, so again, I have to walk very far to get business done. It seems to me they could have a desk near the front for handicapped folks to conduct our business.
Fantastic experience: This is a review for Angelos Towing service Driver Jaime Ocampo I have to say that this man did a out standing job taking care of my battery problem he was very professional at doing his job and he arrived at a reasonable time being that it was on a Friday evening and he was very fast fixing my car and making sure that I was totally satisfied before leaving . I gave him a five star review for his service. on 7/15/2022 between 7:30 and 8:30
Fantastic experience: I came here to get a car title transfer instead of going to DMV. They finished helping me within 10min and I got the new Registration Card paper. Recommend to arrive before 8:45am if you plan to come on Saturday morning since they open at 9am. The staff is friendly and helpful here.
Fantastic experience: Went here Saturday at 10:45am and had a very smooth experience transferring the registration of a car from our parents to us. Got the new registration and plates in less than 20 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The security guard even lent us a screwdriver and wrench so we could change the license plates. The AAA membership is soooo worth the cost for the roadside assistance and for the DMV related tasks !
Negative experience: Almost as unhelpful as the DMV, receptionist was awful a real tool. Not sure why I am still with this insurance company to be honest.
Fantastic experience: Today I renewed my registration. I lovely lady named Michelle helped me. I asked for car insurance info for my son, which she gave me. I left and then received a call from her because after I left she went out of her way to research my sons situation more. I was so happy to find out we could switch my sons car insurance to AAA. Fantastic experience: If you've been to one AAA, in my experience, you've been to all of them. Super organized. Super efficient. Staff is friendly and competent. Even if you only go there once a year, to pay your registration, it's worth the annual membership fee. And if you have a wife &/or daughter, it would be wrong for them each, to not have AAA.
Negative experience: This is the worse aaa I’ve ever been too. They have a line that bypasses people waiting for the dmv. Seems like all the people working on the dmv side don’t know what they are doing. I would avoid this branch at all costs. DO NOT COME TO THIS BRANCH.

Negative experience: My first time calling for roadside assistance due to a dead battery AAA kept me waiting on the phone for 3 hours decided to just call a family member to come help me out instead. Bad service!! Second time my car ended up breaking down on the road and this time they answered the phone sent me a tow truck ended up waiting 4 hours for the tow truck, and then the driver ended up calling me saying he's not going to be able to pick up my car anymore because he picked up another car instead, so I had to call road side assistance again but this time they didn't pick up my phone so I had to pay out of my pocket, so I called a towing company to come pick up my car and tow it to a mechanic!! I don't know why I'm paying for a service that doesn't work when you really need it!! I recommend to go somewhere else and don't pay your hard earned money to a company that doesn't appreciate your business.

Fantastic experience: I like triple a and all it does for customers but here recently we've had a string of bad luck my RV was vandalized and stolen and broken into and so I got it back and put it in storage took it out of storage I was talk to you by the cops said RV had to be moved I called triple a they say they're coming to get it they then call me back later on that night saying the driver has gone home and that it'll be 7:00 the next day will 7:00 they stay rolls around I'm not there I figure they got it now the RV is nowhere to be found the city doesn't know where it is neither this aaa I don't know what to do but I like triple a
Negative experience: On Sunday called for EMERGENCY road service. Was put on hold for 3.27 hours and finally gave up. They never helped me. I cancelled my membership on Monday after being with them for 26 years. They've really gone down hill.

Negative experience: Worst customer service I have ever had. I paid my bill in full for the year, a month later I received a letter saying I owed another $215 when I called to ask for an explanation for the extra charge they where not able to provide me a reason. the charge was removed or at least that's what I thought... two weeks later I went to go test drive a car, when I called AAA to get a copy of my insurance card I was told that my insurance was canceled over a $26 due balance. The person I spoke to this time confirmed that the pervious person took care of the issue and she was not sure why they canceled my coverage. They never contacted me about this absolutely unacceptable. She removed the fee and sent me the insurance cards. I ended up buying the car so I called to have it added to my policy and lone and behold the agent told me I couldn't make any changes because I didn't have an active policy... I told them that was incorrect and I have already corrected this issue twice already and I needed to speak with a manager. They put me through to the voice mail I waited 24 hours no call back. Called again, sent to the manager voice mail again no call back. After 7 days of trying to get ahold of someone I was finally able to get ahold of a manager. They then said I still owe them money when I asked for the reason they still couldn't provide an answer. I asked Romeo (the manager) why three other people told me my account was set which he also said he didn't know why because there system didn't have enough detail. Needless to say I have asked for a refund of my year payment and have moved over to Wawanesa. DO NOT USE AAA unless you like wasting hours (no exaturation) on the phone and want a company that tries to charge you extra with no explanation.
Fantastic experience: You can't get a license or even a replacement but everything else for the most part you can do. Total time to transfer a title was an hour. This includes wait time. Everybody was friendly and helpful. The clerk who helped us was due with baby next week. Today was her last day b4 leave. She was so professional and careful making sure everything went smooth. This was night and day compared to the DMV. AAA membership has its privileges.
Fantastic experience: AAA is probably the best money you can ever spend. Especially now when the DMV isn’t taking appointments so wait times are essentially measured in years. In and out, transferred a title, registered a motorcycle, and added it to my insurance in less than 30 minutes. AAA is FANTASTIC!

Fantastic experience: So much better than having to go to the DMV. My plates were stolen off my car. They were able to get me new plates and back on the road in 30 minutes.
Positive experience: I know we are dealing with the covid but are workers really needing to putting on blue gloves while sitting behind a plexiglass 6ft away just to take a couple sheets of paper, or was it because of another reason?, anyway it was quick and easy.
Fantastic experience: We went there for the Notary Service. You don't have to be a member. You check in (outside), they take your phone number and text you when it's your turn to come in. Then you go to the (Text return) line and wait for your rep to bring you in. Very easy, clean, happy and easy going people. NOTE: No public bathrooms, eek.
Negative experience: Not very happy at all with the service. I requested a tow truck to tow my car to a mechanic. I knew my membership gave me 7 free miles and anything over would be about $10/mile. My mechanic was 8 miles away so I figured I would just pay an additional $10 but they decide to route their driver through a longer route that is 12 miles and want to charge me $50 now. I asked why they are taking the longer route they said that's just what their system said and and did not want to change it to go the shorter route. Thought I could count on AAA with their customer service but no I cant.

Positive experience: I love the AAA... especially over any DMV visit. I will say that my experience at this location (during COVID) has been terrible. Go to the La Mesa Location... Reason why, the automated check in system is just silly. This is a constructive complaint as today & yesterday my name was removed off the list / kicked out of line like a defective product off a assembly line. Two start, with a +1 as the security guard kept me in good vibes with warm conversation.

Fantastic experience: Great travel and auto insurance, limited DMV services. Spacious building and pleasant employees. Large parking lot with trees. Near highways 8, 163 and 5.
Positive experience: If you are going to need to do a cash transaction and they give you a hour wait. Wish they would of said something. I don't usually have cash on me
Fantastic experience: It was a much friendlier, and personal experience,than the Ca.DMV. You get to wait in your car for your turn.

Fantastic experience: Great experience very safe and clean..hella fast and way less busy than any dmv ive ever been too and not even close.. everything was professional and very organized with covid 19 safety measures in place..
Negative experience: 45 minutes trying to insure and add my vehicle and agent had no clue that a 61 car that's smog exempt foes not need smog, tried to explain the law to juan no luck, went to hagerty and dmv in less than 15 minutes all together and I was driving my classic car to the beach.
Fantastic experience: First station/Walk in attendant greeted me, which was awesome. Waited about 10 minutes or so, not too long. Went to the window and was greeted by Ashlee who helped me yesterday. She was amazing and greeted professional customer service skills. She hand me over to Chris Cann, I think thats his last name. Excellent service. He was Great. Oh Nd I forgot about Ernie, who assisted me yesterday too. Great Job to all!!

Fantastic experience: Answered all questions and printed out a small book of pictures and directions to our destination. Easy to get to off hwy 8
Fantastic experience: I literally never use my membership, but the DMV work these folks can do, 1000% worth it, especially in CA. I really should take more advantage of all the other features I get in my membership, but this is like the cherry on top if you are on the fence about getting in on an AAA membership (at least in my opinion). Additionally, these folks are quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and really hospitable.
Fantastic experience: Puts DMV to Shame. My brother was able to get his Registration on RV, Boat with in minutes. Though there was CDC guidelines & about 5 people waiting, it went fast.
Positive experience: Feels a bit like the DMV. Antiquated payment process (you have to punch in your own credit card number and info versus chip or magnetic strip). Long wait times. Mix of some friendly and some very annoyed employees that like to complain. Notary is $10/ signature, which is a savings, so that's good.
