Fantastic experience: Helpful friendly almost anything of DMV can be done here i am glad that being a membership a insurance customer.
Fantastic experience: Came here to get my international drivers license. Everyone was nice and helpful. The cost was $20 for the license and $10 to take your picture. The whole process took less than 15 minutes.
Negative experience: Virtual assistant bot is awful. I want to speak to an actual live human.

Negative experience: I'm disappointed as we paid lots of money for insurance and other services, and when you go for DMV transactions, the waiting time is just as if you'd go to the DMV. Employees just walk around pretending to work, and there are only 2 people helping with DMV transactions. So why am I paying if the waiting time is just like the DMV?

Negative experience: Called to make a payment, The assistant that answered put me on virtual assistant. If I wanted to do that and go through virtual system, I wouldn't call triple-a. I'll just do it on my own. Agents need to be trained better and not ignore customers. Request that wanted to pay a payment and didn't even ask more questions around it
Negative experience: Jay in Smog is horrible. It takes 4 days for him to respond to my inquiry for a price without answering it at all. They left a voicemail with everything else that didn't ask about. My smog was done for a week when they left me a voicemail asking me to call with any questions. Time wasted, frustration gained. I'd consider another insurance company for my towing needs. Jay, you're awful I hope youre not in charge of anything or anyone.
Negative experience: I got my son his frist aaa card when he was in Texas, pay with my credit card. Told aaa this is one time Charge only. That was 5 years ago. My son used the card one time 5 years ago. Frist 2 years, not change. 2022,2023 and this they changed my card all three years. My Fault for not looking at my bill. This is Recurring change that I did not ask for. Who is doing this.. So be careful. Always look at your bill. I been with AAA for 29 years and that didn't help.

Negative experience: Shady people here. I needed to get insurance and at the time it was the "cheapest" for me at $330/m, I assume because of an accident on my motorcycle which I was not at fault for. I was in a rush and didn't care because I needed insurance. The man I spoke to asked me if I wanted the roadside assistant as well and agreed because why not? I've only ever heard great things about it. While signing me up the POS asked me if I had anyone I wanted to give free AAA roadside membership to as well. Thinking this is cool I said yes. Gave him my friends name and he told me all done. Thought nothing of it. I finished the paperwork signed and sent it back. Well apparently because I gave him my friends NAME he added him to the excluded list on my insurance without telling me that he was going to do it. Tried to call back couldn't get a hold of the POS that I spoke to. Whatever I thought that's that its my fault for not reading the contract. Well nope. I haven't had a single accident and only had one accident which was not my fault and over 2.5 years ago. SOMEHOW my insurance has increased from $330/m to $365/m after just 4 months with a renewal offer of $385/m. How in gods name does that make sense? I am almost 30 and I drive a freaking PRIUS FFS. I've tried calling to cancel and was told that it would be a 10% FEE for what is owed on the balance. Well I said ok lets do it and was told I would have to pay $480 on a total balance of $1000 how in the hell does that math add up? Never ever going to recommend their dog insurance to anyone. Go with Geico, Wawanesa, Mercury or ANYONE. You will get a much better quote and no shady business practices. 1/30/24 Cancelled and paid my final bill 01/10/2024. Received a call today 1/20/24 saying that I still owed $245. Said i paid it and was told there was no payment. Check my bank statement and saw the withdraw and informed her and then magically did she see the payment made 1/1024. Told me it was applied towards my regular membership on accident. what? I asked if i could get a receipt and she told me that they do not give receipts or payment confirmation. She said my bank statement is my receipt. what???
Fantastic experience: Smog Check - quick, very nice, and competitive rate!
Negative experience: ⚠️Warning⚠️ This location is EXTREMELY unorganized. NO ONE in claims answers their phone OR RETURNS CALLS. The supervisor Irene is absolutely horribly unprofessional and apparently the leader of DISORGANIZATION !!!! DO NOT GET AAA INSURANCE,,, their “legendary” service goal is exactly that, LEGENDARY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!! From their voicemails which are inaccurate as far as the days they are in, to the fact they DO NOT RETURN CALLS. This place is a JOKE. The very last place I would choose to do business with !!! You never know how “good” your insurance is, until you file a claim. Let me tell you, these people are ignorant, rude, and lazy.
Negative experience: This insurance company stinks. They tried to collect money from me for an accident I wasnt in. Someone gave them an incorrect plate number when they were in an accident and it happen to be my plate. I thought we cleared this up months ago with them and it was closed but last week a law firm started trying to collect from me. Someone there owes me an apology. I filed a complaint with the insurance commissioner of CA.

Negative experience: Don't sign up with this comapny. After 25 years, they raised my car insurance rates 40% this year-- no accidents, no tickets, no claims, no reason.... just profit. I called, and someone tried to convince me it was "inflation." At it's worst, inflation was 7% last year. I'm just so tired, and I really don't feel like finding another insurance company... but the rates plus the condescending, pathetic explination makes me realize it's time to switch. I hope your shareholders are fat and happy.
Fantastic experience: Thank you AAA for the terrific and informative travel guidance from Ann Sims in your Costa Mesa office. We began our planning stage in Sept.& Oct. of 2022 for our travels this past June/July 2023. She assisted us in creating the best tour for Scandinavia, which included a few days ahead of time to visit with family in Sweden. It was decided to select the Tauck Tour since the main objectives was to see family, go to Denmark and visit the stunning fjords in Norway. The tour was a true success in every way: service, motor coach driver, weather (especially being able to see the glaciers & fjords), small tour group-great people, itinerary, hotels, food, tour guide and local tour guides, etc.. We are now working with Ann on our travel plans for 2024. She is very professional, knowledgeable, patient, kind and enjoyable to talk with due to her travel experience. Thank you again!! Fantastic experience: I came here to get my Real ID Driver's license. This process can be painful at the DMV, however it was much easier and seamless here. This is my first time going to an actual AAA location and it did not disappoint. Big shout out to *Amalia Alanis* for all her help! She was very polite and sincere. She went out of her way to help me with the process.

Negative experience: Angel Gomez said I was getting 170 premium for 250 comp. And 500 coll. Deductible and I signed up but when I got papers it said 250-1000. So I called angel gomez he said he would change with same premium amount. But when I got papers again it said premium went up to 30 dollars. I than called angel for a week straight and to this day no return call. Contacted manager Russ and he was rude with no explanation of why angel won’t return my call. As if my signing up was all they cared about. No mater what I wanted. Because it was a year contract. They don’t care about customer service just about getting your contract.
Negative experience: Smog checks here are a rip-off and there's always a line of people waiting. You can save $20 by going to the Campus Shell station on Baker St and there's no wait.

Fantastic experience: I came in with a low tire pressure and asked for a smog check as well. I didn’t have my DMV papers with me but the gentleman working there was extremely nice and helpful. We had a nice conversation and he genuinely care about me and my car. I came here around 2:30pm on a Monday and there was no wait. Smog check and tire check took less than 20 minutes.
Fantastic experience: I came through the door and was greeted immediately. I was directed to a window with one person ahead of me. I got to the front in about a minute. She took my information and directed me to a large waiting area where I waited to be called. I waited, comfortably, for about 10 minutes. I was called, I paid for my registration and was out the door. Total time about 15 minutes.

Fantastic experience: Went in to get car registered. Due to my unique circumstance they were unable to help me, but guided me to the right location to get it taken care of. I was able to get smog done at this location. Very friendly, greeter at front, no lon lines when I went in. If it can be done here and you can avoid the DMV, always worth it.

But went to another auto insurance once looking for a better rate and coverage which I regretted very much so I came back to never leave again , I’m very pleased with AAA plus the convenience to get smog check on my car and all my DMV needs done there also and if you go to their office everyone is so nice and eager to make you feel at home and oh ! I almost forgot the famous road service which made them popular and well known for , listen I can keep going on and on with so much more but I don’t want to sound like I’m getting paid to say this just go see for yourself

Positive experience: Hey There, Most Of The Time AAA Would Get 5 Stars. However My Latest Visit Was Hella Disrespectful.. Apparently there's a promotion and giveaway a very nice traveling bag. Cool. Only requirement to receive the traveling bag is you sit for 15-20 minute interview on receiving insurance from AAA. Cool. However once I asked to receive my bag another employee she came out with two small bags look like they from 99 cent store and had AA A stamped on them and attempted to hand me that. Immediately I said oh no I want that other Style One. Guess what she said then y'all. Well did you read by any insurance I said no had nothing to do with the promotion she going to tell me okay I got one for you but make sure you come back with your wife to get the insurance. She should know I ain't going back down there

She explained AAA's resolution process to me in great detail. I immediately felt comfortable speaking with Carla, you get a sense that she cares right away. Excellent service was provided with a AAA+++ attitude.

Fantastic experience: In the last few years, I have gotten my car smogged at the Auto Club on Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa. Today was the third time. Each and every time, the gentleman who staff that area have been amazing. They are professional, courteous and informative. It was quick, easy and also inexpensive compared to other providers. I highly recommend you use them.
Negative experience: Tried to call to see if we needed an appointment to use smog check. Virtual assistant hung up on us twice before launching into an explanation of what smog check was and then telling us no one was available and hanging up on us again. Operators can't get covid-19 over the phone and this use of a virtual assistant instead of keeping humans is a needles cash grab. We are now looking into other options for our insurance needs.
