Negative experience: Terrible, terrible, fatal, I absolutely do not recommend this agency. The staff has very poor customer service; they should train them to deal with the public. In Tampa, there are plenty of agencies, and these people think their bad behavior is acceptable. It was undoubtedly a dreadful experience; just going there, the rudeness of the employees and the lack of ethics make it a place I would never step into again, not even by accident!
Negative experience: Terrible service, entering their Tampa office teleported me to the pure misery I left behind. The office looks precarious, it's totally disorganized, they only give 30 turns a day to assist you and you have to queue since dawn to get a turn, terrible customer service. For anyone missing Cuba, just stop by there and you'll have an overdose of the worst, nothing good.
Negative experience: I can only say that I feel in Cuba when I came to the agency, using the bad habits of Cuba with tickets, and the workers treat you as if they were working in the caracol stores. If there is so much demand, they should improve their infrastructure, both locally and in efficiency when receiving goods from customers. Thank you.

Negative experience: I rarely leave bad reviews, but this time it warrants it. Putting aside the situation of the infernal queue that needs to be made early in the morning to be able to get a ticket of only 30 that are distributed, the reason for my rating is the attention from the team of employees. It is inconceivable as customers to have to deal with an employee while he is talking on his personal phone, not urgent calls, but even video calls with everything on speaker disturbing one of the guys who packs. The lack of dynamism that the staff has in processing the packages is incomprehensible, and it is true that many customers send large shipments, but if they put a little more interest and respected the clientele more, they could process the packages more efficiently and thus serve more customers in a day. But it seems that they earn the same attending to 30 people in a day as attending to 60. Another thing is the payment issue; you have to bring cash, otherwise they charge you 4% of the total if you pay with cards. Also, if they are sending batteries, I recommend bringing your own plastic containers that can be bought at Walmart and are cheap, because otherwise, you have to pay them $25 for each one, and they can only be paid in cash. If you don't have cash, you have to go out to find it and let the queue continue passing. NOTE: none of this cash payment requirement was explained to me when I called Cubamax and asked about it; I asked.

The package tracking system is not reliable; the packages are at their destination, Cuba, but according to the app, they are still here in the US, or vice versa. Fantastic experience: I was at the Tampa establishment. I received good service from the manager Gisell. They distribute 40 daily shifts and the people start to arrive early. The shipping is done in boxes of 22, 44, and 100 pounds; you can send meats, fish, sausages, etc. vacuum-packed, all boneless. It is not possible to ship chicken, turkey, and other birds. The truth is that I received good attention.
Negative experience: Now it turns out that you have to arrive before they open to be able to get a ticket and make a line. They give out a maximum of 40 tickets a day according to a customer who was waiting and had number 28 with a wait time of 4 hours. I saw others like me leave because we arrived at 10 and they open at 9 and the tickets had run out. Negative experience: TERRIBLE, I sent a package by air on June 11th and it still hasn't arrived; it's been in Cuba since the 14th and they told my mom that they don't know when it can be taken because it depends on the oil. When they charge you, they say the shipping takes 10 to 12 days and it's a LIE. Furthermore, the treatment from the employees is HORRIBLE; it was an unpleasant experience and it still is because my package has not yet arrived. I do not recommend it at all, please go to another place.
Negative experience: Chat service on the website is terrible. The agent could not answer in English. And the answers in Spanish were very limited and not related to my question. I asked if adding one pound of food would be considered good enough to mix it with the 21lb clothes package. And the answer was 'you can send food, clothes, medicines...' Also, I have been to the office in Tampa. The staff is very nice but the place is super small considering how many customers they always have. The place is mostly packed. Usually, we have to wait outside in the sun for about 3 hours or so. There are no chairs or umbrellas outside. It feels as much a struggle as living in Cuba. It is a headache. None of this should be taken against the staff that work in this office. These issues come clearly from higher management mentality.

Negative experience: I sent a package at this place and from the moment you arrive you literally feel like you're at the identity office in Cuba, a tumult of people standing around and disorganized, you have to ask for the last number like in a bakery in Cuba and they barely respond and there is no organization. There are staff members who are incredibly rude and speak to you imperatively as if they were herding animals, however, there are other young ladies who are nice and polite, like one who sits at the first table with very long hair, she is kind and patient just like another short girl. But there are two older, heavier ones whose attitude is TERRIBLE. I don’t understand why I have to wake up early to send a box to my country and take numbers like in the stores in Cuba, it's horrible to have to waste an entire day there to send a package. Yesterday I arrived at 2 PM and they told me to leave because they couldn’t attend to me since they had already given out 60 numbers and were only serving the 20th, I drove for 1 hour and 30 minutes for this, it is a total lack of respect that 3 hours before closing they tell me they can’t help me. They give you a ticket with a number and time like the MLC stores in Cuba, what a socialist thing in this developed country, they insist on bringing the backwardness of Cuba here day by day. The only positive thing I can say is that I sent a box here two months ago and it arrived on time to my family, but the time I had to wait and the rude behavior I had to endure there are not worth the cost of all this,,, and of course, they can’t manage to stay on schedule because the girls all go to lunch at the same time and it’s hard for even one to stay to help while the public waits there for more than an hour for them... honestly, this place is horrible, I would give it zero stars for everything they make the customer go through.

Positive experience: This is my first time visiting this place in Tampa, my humble opinion is that they should provide a restroom in their facility, as not all of us live in the same city. I traveled from Bradenton. You have to wait quite a bit, you should come with time, we arrived at 9:00 am and did the 27 ...... After the line, I mean we left there after 5:00 pm and XK was closing time, if we hadn't left later. One of the older ladies, plump with black hair, who works there, cut in front of MANY to a friend who arrived with a truck WELL FULL WITH SEVERAL PACKAGES! It seemed to me a lack of ethics, respect, and everything to the staff that we were waiting there. One of the girls, the smallest in height, but with a super supportive heart ❤️ and wonderful service, GOD BLESS HER, she is an excellent human being.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE Everything that is wrong in Cuba seems to be the essence that exists in this place. The inefficiency of the workers, the slowness, the poor service and lack of education. Inside the establishment, it is chaos; they shout, make inappropriate comments, and suddenly people start appearing for some mysterious reason ahead of you. My closest experience to this place was waiting in line for chicken in Cuba. Cubamax is like an astral door that teleports you to any housing office in Cuba where poor work and lack of professionalism make you feel once again like a victim of a corrupt system that doesn't work. I don't know if anyone will read these reviews and care about providing good service, especially in a country where aptitude and capability are rewarded. The workers here do not want to work; they get up from their seats, are absent for long periods, and there are 5 people attending to the public but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Personally, I feel that when I leave the office, I will find a P5 bus stop because there is no difference between this place and any dysfunctional and inept office in Cuba. There are better businesses that offer better services, don't let yourself be scammed!!

I arrived at the place around 2:30, and I’m actually writing this review from the waiting chair after waiting for 2:30 due to the slowness and ineptitude of their workers. They talk (gossip) among themselves, get up from their chairs and go who knows where behind the place. A while ago, we heard a small fight from that spot. Now it turns out they give turns 'like in Cuba' to organize the line. People suddenly arrive and without any explanation, they attend to them first. They kick empty boxes on the floor and shout at each other. Mother of God!! I do NOT recommend this place AT ALL! ‼️

I arrived at 4:20 PM on a Thursday after a 2-hour trip and they didn't want to attend to me because the customers they had inside their office were about to finish. I don't see the logic in that when they close at 5 PM; they are supposed to provide service until the indicated time. It's a lack of respect and poor manners on their part.

Negative experience: Really, at this agency to make a shipment either you don’t work or you are retired because the lines seem like a store in Cuba. Besides the noise inside and outside, everyone talking at once is a torment. The place is too small for the number of people, it’s very uncomfortable and stressful. A lady attended to me and at least she served me well, and there were no problems with the shipment, but I really prefer to send from another agency even if I pay a little more, because they bring the products to my house. Here you have to go to an agency to pick them up. Cubamax should consider opening another location in Tampa since the community has grown. I won't be coming back here.
Negative experience: Very poor service and bad treatment. I was told at 2 PM that they couldn’t attend to me because I needed to arrive early, even though they say they close at 4. They told me I shouldn’t leave because it was already late and they hadn’t had lunch. I live in Lakeland and made a 1-hour trip just to be told they had to take their lunch and couldn’t serve me. Because of such disgust, I didn’t make the shipment; I just left.

Negative experience: Super and extremely bad, I arrived and they were not even able to greet me or ask how they could help me; that is one. Second, they kept me waiting for almost an hour with a small baby there without asking me anything only to tell me that they weren't processing passport photos because they had to take a picture. It is disrespectful and has zero courtesy. But that wasn't enough; they also laughed in my face when I told them that I already had the photo and didn't need to take one. They laughed in my face with the other lady next to them as if it was funny. It would have sounded much nicer if they had politely explained to me that the photo wasn't accepted in Cuba for the passport. Instead, they prefer to treat you badly because she said she only had 16 minutes left, which is not my problem that you have to leave or are tired. The customer doesn't care about any of that; customers should be treated with kindness and respect. Therefore, I do not recommend this place to anyone, neither for this nor for anything else because even the packages take a long time; they tell you one thing and it's another.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with the service, the quality, and especially the security of the packages sent to Cuba. My wife made a shipment of a package to Cuba, which not only took much longer than expected but also suffered losses of parts of it. When the claim was made, the response from the officials in charge was that there were only two options: to buy again what was lost due to their poor work and resend it for free, or simply refund the money for the shipment of the lost equipment. Therefore, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MAKE SHIPMENTS THROUGH THIS CHANNEL.

Fantastic experience: I participated in the raffle for the electric bicycle that was held at the CUBAMAX office located in Tampa. I had a hunch, and because of it, I started sending #55 from the beginning. I did it several times, and it wasn't read (they have the evidence there). Finally, just seconds before showing the envelope's number, someone else sent #55 and won the bicycle. I think: either the raffle is fake, or they purposely ignored my number, or the person was already chosen beforehand.
