Fantastic experience: We have had the extreme pleasure of working (for several years now) with Arthur Balin, a Senior Travel Consultant @ The Cruise Web. He has expertly arranged numerous trips (land and sea) around the globe for us, and without a doubt, has made every one of our vacations special and memorable! Arthur’s customer service, attention to detail, communication and organizational skills are top notch. His planning, scheduling and global travel knowledge is superior. Arthur is such a great listener, knows exactly the way we like to travel, works diligently behind the scenes to make sure all our travels have been seamless and stress free…even through the pandemic! As a retired travel medicine clinician and a husband who works with National Geographic, we know a thing or two about travel and recognize the value of an exceptional travel agent. We can be demanding and bouchie with specific requests but Arthur always accepts the challenge with a smile and delivers above and beyond our expectations! Arthur always makes us feel like we’re his priority. He is genuine, friendly, and an all around swell guy who has become like family:) We highly recommend Arthur Balin @ The Cruise Web for any of your travel needs!!

Fantastic experience: Our first cruise ever was August 2024 doing the Alaska Inside Passage. We wanted to make sure we'd have the trip of the lifetime and an experience to remember so we picked Cunard, one the top luxury large cruiseship brands. Word on the 'net is to use a cruise travel agency as they can get you lots of extras. Researching those showed that The Cruise Web had high ratings and positive reviews, so we reached out. The call went well, and they asked about our goals, our cruising experience (none!), what we expected to see and do, length of trip, and destination. The Cruise Web offered to "hook us up." First, their price (paid directly to Cunard) was lower than Cunard's advertised price. They explained why a Princess Grill level stateroom was worth it compared with the lower level (Britania) rooms. Between the guaranteed same table at lunch&dinner available daily with no wait or line, the open-air balcony with two chairs and a table to enjoy a morning cup'o'tea (we did coffee... but the ship is definitely most British) and other amenities... it was the right choice. They got the daily tip - included. Onboard WiFi - included. Onboard credit per person - included. We were onboard for 10 days, had laundry done twice, dry cleaning once (gala dresses and suits!) and we tipped extra at the bars. For the 2 of us... for those 10 days... our end-of-trip bill was around $1,000. $50/day/person is less than what we'd pay at home in a restaurant for one dinner. We had two minor problems (not The Cruise Web's fault) and each time a simple email got it resolved within an hour, EVEN ON A WEEKEND AFTER WORK HOURS. They even got Cunard to fix the spelling of my gf's name after hours... in minutes. If I'd called Cunard I'd still be on hold. Their communication was superb. I never felt like I didn't know what would happen next. Their "Purple Team" was always ahead of things and letting me know. Would I recommend The Cruise Web? YES. Would I recommend them to friends/family knowing if they have a bad time I won't hear the end of it? YES. Was there anything that in the long run they could have done better? I can't think of a thing.. Thanks, The Cruise Web and Team Purple!!!!!!

Positive experience: Dina Averno was the best part of this cruise. So many things did not go well that were out of her control. Unfortunately I had to cancel the trip for my husband after Dina had spent so much time helping us to organize it. Then I got Covid on the ship followed by a land cruise tour guide that was less than adequate. Dina's persistence to make sure the insurance company was following through was more than efficient, compassionate and down right amazing. Thank you Dina for being there for me and my husband. Couldn't have done it without you!

Fantastic experience: The Cruise Web Team, Maria McDaniel, and her office staff were excellent in providing top to bottom details essential for our cruise. Me, my wife and our friends had a great time on the Cruise, the Norwegian Cruise Encore and on those shore excursions only because Maria and her team helped us. Maria would call with details wanting to make sure we were ready for this first time experience, doing her best to ensure it would go extremely well. From reservations to flight tickets to small essentials to pack for the trip, Maria was on the other end of the phone always. I did not have to look anywhere else for help. Maria was ready and would stay even after her office hours just to make sure that we were happy. I would certainly recommend her for any cruise questions to reservations. Maria is THE go to person.

Negative experience: Sadly, this agency cannot be trusted. It uses a bot. It asks for personal information and phone numbers. Then does dead. They have never phoned or emailed me. I tried several times. Instead of responding and sending an email or calling clients, they choose to ignore us. This is sadly very disappointing for a company that pops us as reliable or punts itself as being the best. They are really irresponsible, unreliable and untrustworthy.

Fantastic experience: Arthur Balin at Cruise Web arranged a trip for us to Antarctica with Seabourn. The trip was excellent and everything we had hoped for. Fantastic experience: Arthur, I wanted to drop you an email to thank you for a wonderful cruise and of course Coley as well for his suggestions and hooking us up with you. I do not see how we could be any happier with the work yawl put into this, you were able to understand our desires and budget and masterfully coordinated and lined everything up, well done! The air transportation was perfect, the transport to hotel in Rome was perfect, the hotel in Rome was awesome, their staff was amazing and we loved the rooftop garden (great cigar lounge ) all the sights were amazing and all but one was in walking distance (the Vatican). The transport to the cruise ship was perfect and the embarkation was simple and seamless. The ship was “to die for” I never got tired of the modern art theme, simply amazing. The cabin was so sweet and very convenient to the main café, the food was very satisfying, I can’t remember the last time I had so many deserts. The cabin attendant could not have been better, Clyde was incredibly helpful and always available, how do they do it so well? The ships crew was always a amazing and so much joy to watch them work as a team , what a treat. Captain Kate McCue was a treat in itself, I had the opportunity to talk with her and get a photo, a true American captain. I thoroughly enjoyed all the excursions and shipboard activities, oddly enough the best pasta meal we had was in Croatia at the oyster bay. The return home flight went off without a hitch and we did have a friend pick us up in Dulles as you suggested and I was home asleep before our connecter left Dulles I think it’s important to let professionals know when they do good just as important when they don’t, so please take a moment and be proud of your work because you did a great job for us and we thank you for that. Where not generally cruise people but we are saving our money for our next one and will be reaching out to you when the time comes, thank you and keep up the good work.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience with Cruise Web especially Trevor Dentz. He answered all our questions and some were silly questions but he treated all with great care. He gave us excellent direction and recommendations. He has terrifc follow through. If you need help, ask for Trevor! We took the 11 day cruise from New York to Montreal on Regent Cruise. Fantastic experience: We have been repeat customers of Arthur Balin, Senior Cruise Consultant of The Cruise Web for the last fifteen years, each time leaving the entire adventure to his management, from our leaving our home to our return. He is, by far, the most outstanding travel consultant we have ever dealt with, and we have had many, as we;ve been to every continent several times. Arthur suggests travel calendars, hotels, land adventures, air transportation, as well cruise ship accommodations and activities. He follows up with repeated consultations until we are certain of our plans, then he books the entire vacation, with continuing reminders of that which we can only do by ourselves. Although with The Cruise Web organization behind him he is so consistent in solving any problem that has ever come our way, his thoughtfulness and understanding are even more appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I have booked 2 cruises with Hans Hansen so easily! He always gets right back to you… calls you or emails you until you are happy with your trip plans! Don’t ever book a cruise with the cruise company unless you want to speak with a new person each day… ugh! One call or email does it all with Hans! Hans makes sure your trip is done right the first time!

Negative experience: My advice is to book your own cruise, otherwise you will not have access to your reservation to get or update information. Once they have your money, you cannot get an "agent" on the phone, they do not answer calls or return emails and for the nearly complete lack of assistance I've gotten, I could have booked my own cruise with the cruiseline for free, cut out the middle man and saved myself (and my travel companions) a real headache. I will NEVER use The Cruise Web again. They are horrible!

Fantastic experience: We were lucky enough to connect with Tim Rudd who works for Cruise Web. He has recommended two cruises for a group of us. The cruises have been outstanding as was Tim in his customer support. He managed to get us some great deals tailored perfectly to our interests. Fantastic experience: We first used Arthur Balin at the Cruise Web ten years ago when we booked our very first river cruise. Since then we have booked other cruises and referred several people to Arthur, and they have become repeat customers too. Not only does Arthur know his cruises, he will assist you with all your other travel plans including hotel and airlines. He is incredibly responsive and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend using him for all your cruise plans.

Negative experience: The travel rep seemed so knowledgeable but we learned that what he said did not come true. We will only book through the cruise line next time to insure what is included is included and the room is located in a spot with full balcony view. Saving 200.00 cost us more in the long run.

Negative experience: The Cruise Web received a $25,000 deposit from me for a senior citizen education cruise a month before the coronavirus pandemic struck. The USA and the world went into lockdown. The ship I booked never sailed, but the Cruise Web refused to return my $25,000. They even told me that if I wanted yo still do a cruise I would have to pay another deposit. I am a 70 year old retiree, with less than $25,000 in savings. After many request they still haven’t given me my money back. I’m now suing them in civil court, and have spent $5,000 on lawyer fees so far. I am sure they have paid their attorney more than $25,000 to fight me in court. I’m disappointed and sadden by such poor service and lack of ethical business practice.

Fantastic experience: Max Pike-Ludwig was our Cruise Consultant, he was fabulous. Booked our Viking Antarctic Expedition cruise (02/2023). We can not say enough good things about Max, he's experienced, professional and we highly recommend him for all your travel needs. Our Antarctic Expedition cruise on Viking Polaris was simply incredible. The ship was new, and SO CLEAN!!! With state of the art technologies and reliable WiFi, the food, whether it be in the World Cafe or the "restaurants" or room service, was always delicious and the service was flawless. The management was so friendly, available 24/7 no matter what you needed and ready to help with a smile. The "Hanger" crew were experienced and always conscious of the guests' safety while ensuring they had the most amazing experiences. Viking also provided proper gear for each excursion, parkas, pants, boots, drysuit, and personal floatation devices, the parkas were given to the guests at the end of the cruse. The "toys" were top quality, Zodiacs, Kayaks, a special operations boat "SOB" and the impressive submarine made the excursions and landings unforgettable. The weather cooperated from start to finish, we had blue skies and calm seas for nearly the whole trip. Temperature hovered around 30 degrees. Captain Olivier Marien and his crew made sure they took advantage of the rare good weather every opportunity to navigate the ship into places that were only accessible when the weather permitted as to provide the best experiences possible for the guest aboard. He delivered! The daily briefings were so informative, they offered an insight into the next days' activities and always stressed being flexible with the itineraries. The onboard lectures and seminars were ongoing throughout the day there was always something to do and learn. The best part was the landings, excursions, and wildlife did not disappoint, no words can describe the beautiful white continent. We observed raw, untamed nature where the resident animals must survive in one of the harshest environments on the face of the earth. We never grew tired of seeing penguins, chicks, seals and whales. In summary, I highly recommend Max Pike-Ludwig for your travel needs and Viking Cruises.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful 7 night cruise on the AMASONATA from Budapest to Nuremburg from the 25th of November to the 2nd of December. Fantastic experience: Our cruise from New York to London/Southampton was terrific. We stopped at Halifax, Reykjavik and Belfast. Weather was so rough we were unable to visit Dublin. Stopped at Amsterdam, then had to skip Bruge and Le Havre due to a medical situation on the ship. Trevor Dentz with Cruise Webb has booked our last several cruises. The cruise was outstanding from transferring from the airport to the ship, boarding and de boarding the ship. Most employees like the job that they do. Associates on Royal Caribbean love their job and it showed. Some companies have suggestion boxes or improvement circles. Royal Caribbean practice continuous improvement with every encounter.

Arthur Balin has been an invaluable resource throughout the process, including the last minute rebooking of transfers when the ship couldn't dock in Venice. She helped me from beginning to end and surprisingly I even got to meet this beautiful agent on the cruise ship. We met had a couple signature cocktails and broke bread together. She is such a sweet and charming individual. I had some struggles from previous bookings and she had helped me handle them to the best of her abilities and stays on top of it to try to get to the best solution. She always has a positive attitude and out look on things, and pays close attention to detail on exactly what it is that you are looking for. She helps you get the booking if a lifetime. I told her everything I wanted and she made it all come true. One of the best travel agents I've dealt with so far. You definitely would want to use her for any future bookings you have coming up.

Fantastic experience: Our cruise travel agent Dina Averno was such a great help for us. We were navigating a 25 day cruise and we wanted to stay and visit different countries after the cruse. Dina helped us through the whole process. She was also able to find us a much better price then I found on my own for the cruise. Negative experience: Scheduled a cruise right before COVID... the cruise got cancelled and rescheduled... decided to just cancel the cruise as some of those traveling with us didn't feel safe with COVID... We were told that we would get a refund and that it could take up to 60 days... We had two different cabins reserved... here we are 60 days later and one of the cabins got their refund but ours has not. Then we were told that only the Cruise Web agent that we were working with us cold help us. This was my first and ONLY time working with Cruise Web as form here on our I will work strictly with Carnival. PS. Now we are being told that some of our money from our cabin was sent to the other persons refund. This place is a mess. At this point just please refund my money.

Negative experience: My wife and I were very dissatisfied with the Cruise Web. We booked a cruise in June of 2021. At the time they were very happy to take our deposit and said we would need to pay in full by October for a November cruise. We were quite excited to be traveling on the MSC cruise through the Mediterranean. At the time, MSC was one of the cruise lines which was not requiring vaccination and so we chose them. There were no restrictions. Fast forward to October. We paid for the cruise in full. A week or so later we were informed that we had to be vaccinated (which we were) and that cruisers would not be allowed to leave the ship in port unless they purchased an excursion to travel with the cruise group. This was not what we signed up for. First off, they changed the rules. Secondly, we like to explore in port, not be taken on a bus to whatever site they wish. Thirdly, the cost of the cruise would over double as excursions are priced and $100-$300 per person. There were 6 stops so you can do the math. We decided to cancel the cruise a month in advance. I called the Cruise Web and they told me they would not cancel the cruise unless I paid their cancellation fee - which amounted to $369 - 15% of the cost of the cruise!! I told them that they changed the rules on us and that was not fair, but they were rude and dismissive and told me pay up or they would not cancel. They told me I could us the $369 against a future cruise, but why would I want to work with them again? I paid it. MSC Cruises were gracious and gave me back all the money they had received - as they realized the reason for the cancel. But the Cruise Web told me to pound sand - they wanted the money since they did so much work - like signing a cruise is that time consuming. I will never work with them again and warn you - do not trust them.
