Garrett and the AAA team helped to resolve an electrical issue with my car that no other mechanic was able to figure out. Negative experience: They are absolutely the worst company! Last night I was stranded on the side of the road with my son. I was told every time I called that they were receiving a high volume of calls and would send someone as soon as they could find a company to tow my car. After calling them for updates, they had the nerve to ask if my son was a minor and still no one showed up to help us. Honestly what does that matter, our safety and a service I pay for is what matters! After waiting over 4 hours (11:30pm- 4am) I had someone else to call and request a tow for the same location and he was told they would not be able to tow the car until a towing company opened the next morning. They made it very clear to him they could not tow in this area in the middle of the night. Now remember they were still telling me it was due to high volume calls and they couldn’t get to me yet due to where I was on the list. At this point I had to find my own towing company who responded and had me picked up within 15 minutes! AAA even gave me a hard time with canceling and their customer service was horrible. They didn’t even want to know how to improve. I had to find a company myself and pay out of pocket to cover the charges. After further review, I have found out that towing companies will not tow for AAA in the Forsyth county area anymore. If you breakdown here know you are own your own until normal business hours and then you still might have to wait days to have your vehicle towed. How can you call yourself roadside assistance and take our money for services you can’t even provide? As a female stranded on the side of the road with my child in the middle of the night this was horrifying! AAA you should be ashamed of yourself and it’s time to look at your management team and company mission! Would you have even cared if something had happened to us last night?

Negative experience: I had my vehicle towed to this location after it became inoperable on May 20, 2023. I was told that this would be a free tow since I was towing it to a AAA car care center even though it was over the allotted miles for my basic membership. I decided to have it towed to this AAA center at 606 S Stratford Rd, Winston-Salem, NC. Upfront they informed me that it would be a $150.00 diagnostic fee regardless of work done. I agreed and they discovered that I needed a fuel pump replaced and fuel system flush. The charge for this work was quoted at $1,440.00. Yep you read that right, over $1,400 to replace a fuel pump and flush the fuel system. Oh and they suggested that I replace the spark plugs and wires along with flushing and replacing other fluids for $400.00 more. I decided to have my vehicle towed to another local shop with several certified mechanics. Their price to replace the fuel pump and flush the fuel system was $550.00. Almost $ 900.00 cheaper to do the same job and if I want them to do the tune-up it would be around $250.00. A total of $800.00 compared to the $1,800.00 AAA car center wanted for all suggested service. I suggest that you only use this location for your car repairs as a last resort considering the inflated prices they are charging for mechanical work. I thought that by being a AAA member the car care center would be reputable, but I don't consider this fair. The roadside experience was very good and the representatives that assisted in that request were very pleasant.

Fantastic experience: Had to get my car inspected and had some other minor items addressed so I made an appointment. They took my car right in and in about an hour, I was on my way. I have not had any issues with any of the repairs done since I have been going to AAA.

Negative experience: I've trusted my 2019 Passat to the care of your facility in Greensboro since it was newly purchased. Due to the expense of premature tire wear. In line with my recommended service schedule I make sure the tires are checked and rotated with each service appointment. My previous service appointment for doing this was on 8/6/2021 as the attached service invoice will show. Heretofore I have appreciated the professionalism and fair pricing that the Carcare facilities offer to their customers. Recently it was brought to my attention by family members that my tires seemed to be exhibiting excessive and uneven wear which took me by surprise since I have always been mindful of giving especial attention in this area. Could it be that a worn front end part was contributing to this? If so, my vehicle is under warranty since it only has 35,000 miles. With this in mind I thought it best to return it to the local Carcare since they have performed all the service work on it up until now. The service manager informed me that based on their records and examination my tires showed excessive wear and even shared pictures of this me on the computer. When I asked why this was never brought to my attention at the time my car was serviced he merely shrugged his shoulder and replied: we sent you a text message on 7/08/2021. I reflected for a moment thinking; ' Did I somehow miss this message and anyway, why would they let me leave the premises without offering me a solution to the problem. What if I'm not good about checking TEXT MESSAGING? Further, often I travel out of town on long trips after some service appointments which would only make worse the problem if unattended to immediately. I probed further, asking: ' what number did you text me to? He shared the records and noticed that in the home as well as the mobile fields my landline number was entered. So the contact information was incorrect. Just the same what a sloppy ( and lazy, I might ad) way to conduct customer relations! I went ahead and had the car aligned on the subsequent visit to minimize further damage to the tires since I'm going out of state again next week. I know as a company you care about customer relations and feel this is something you need to address. If it appears a customer has not been apprised of a needed repair while on site he deserves a PHONE CALL not a text message which may or may not ever reach him. I may be old fashioned but somethings need never change! I just wanted you to know why you will no longer earn our business. Ed & Becky Monkiewicz

Fantastic experience: The heater core had to be replaced. The entire dashboard had to be removed for this. The technician, James, kept us informed of progress and was very pleasant and kind.

Negative experience: Took our Sons car with Check Engine light. Quoted $2000 dollars (with 10% discount for AAA member!) Took to another auto repair and found that they were really gouging us-reputable shop less than 1/2. Reconsidering our AAA membership because of this experience. Take your auto repair elsewhere!

Positive experience: My car broke down and had it towed to this facility because it was the closest place. Never been there before so I tried them out. They did a real good job repairing my auto in a timely manner. It looked like a difficult repair in an awkward part of the engine but they did a real good job.

Negative experience: I had to have my transmission replaced on my Kia in August and it ruined the rest of my year. Not only did the techs break other parts of my car as they installed the transmission the install was not done properly and my car never drove the same. I took my vehicle to the dealership a month later after taking the car back to AAA twice and was told there was 2000 more damage done around the transmission. I had just paid off my vehicle and I had to trade it in and take on a car payment due to the negligence of the techs at AAA. I would advise customers to beware and let AAA stick to oil changes and inspections. They were rude and uncaring about the issues they caused to my car. I will never go back.

Fantastic experience: My experience with AAA was awesome. I had to get my car inspected and I went online, scheduled my appointment and when I arrived and checked in they took the car in right away and about 30 minutes later it was done. Everyone was nice. Easy peasy!!

Fantastic experience: Great overall experience and super professional. Definitely a customer that has made repeat visits. AAA should be proud of this shop because they give great customer service and put the customer first.

Fantastic experience: Had unexpected battery, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and other issues and they cleared all of these issues. Then months later had to get my emissions test done, and an oil change. Great no-nonsense customer service and professional quality staff. Their work is great and I feel safer knowing my car was serviced by them.

Fantastic experience: Great! I recently rejoined AAA and was very glad to take my car back to their service center here. Staff is helpful and friendly as well as Trustworthy.

Positive experience: My experience with them was a great one, truly love the fact they give a detailed explanation about both my vehicles. And a time frame when they would be done along with pictures showing what was wrong. If any more problems come up ,I will do business with them again.
