AAA - Fayetteville: Reviews
Negative experience: sitting on the side of the road for 2 hours still waiting on a driver to be assigned I can't believe I'm paying for this but I won't be anymore, you can't even reach a real operator anymore
Fantastic experience: I had an awesome experience with AAA auto care center. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a honest top notch automotive repair shop .
Fantastic experience: Monty, Matt, and Mickey are great! I've had to take my car to them twice in about a month, and they fixed both issues quickly with great communication. I really appreciate their work and customer service.
Fantastic experience: Thank you AAA for providing our International Driving Permit!
Fantastic experience: I needed an alignment. This was my second attempt to get it done. The first place I went to wanted to charge me over $3000.00 and added a list of other repairs needed. AAA got me in, did a wellness check under my hood and did the alignment all for under $200.00. Staff is friendly, and service was fast for a Saturday.
Negative experience: Waited over 2 hrs for a tow. The app, the automated phone call and the lady I called and spoke to all gave me different times until a tow would arrive. Evidently AAA has gone to more AI bs and less people. It shows.
Fantastic experience: We came in almost at the close of business with a nail in my tire. They didnt turn us away like Black's Tire did. They treated us with a smile and excellent customer service! AAA you did that!!! Thank you, Monty Holden!!
Negative experience: Over priced but they stayed open late to finish my car and has great customer service
Fantastic experience: Monty was amazing! He matched our prices and took great care of my JEEP JEEP. :) THANK FOR YOUR AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
Fantastic experience: got my oil changed and my car inspected today… Great service – Matt was very thorough and very informative!
Fantastic experience: Brought my car in for a state inspection. Vehicle was in and out in a timely manner. Always receive friendly service.
Fantastic experience: Went in for an Intl Driver Permit. Got out in less than 5 min with the permit in hand. Permit costs $20. If you don’t have the two required photos handy they will take the photos for $12. Very satisfied!
Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!! I took my Escape in for an oil change and they overfilled it by a quart. I took it back in for adjustment. They adjusted the level and did another inspection and advised me that I now had multiple leaks that had not been there when the initial oil change was done. The oil leaks were cleaned and I was told to return if it continued to leak. It did. I returned again to find there was a new manager there that was very unhelpful. They now want to tell me the leaks were already there and they will fix for over $1500.00. I have contacted Consumer Affairs since I have not been able to find any way to contact a Corporate Office.
Negative experience: LEFT ME STRANDED ALL AFTERNOON/NIGHT IN DOWNTOWN FAYETTEVILLE (Grove St.). NOBODY EVER CAME TO HELP. WHAT AM I PAYING SERVICE FOR ALL I GOT WAS A RECORDED CALL EVERY 30 MINUTES...THEN NOTHING!!! i HAD TO PAY $200 FOR AN AFTER HR SERVICE TO GET MY VEHICLE UNLOCKED. AND I DIDNT MAKE IT BACK TO WORK.... THANKS AAA. I WAITED 5 HRS FOR YOU IN A DANGEROUS PARKING LOT
Positive experience: The only place in town to get an international driver's license. Arranging travel is like pulling teeth, so I don't advise them as a travel agency. Car care is fair.
Negative experience: I would give it no starts if I could… AAA is Literally a waste of money… I have been waiting for 7 hours. The first time truck called and told me if he towed it would ruin the car’s transmission due to the keys being stolen at the gym and the car would be stuck in neutral. The second truck came and told me the same thing and no one told him because he needs a wheel jack and dolly, after going back and forth with AAA over the course of 6 hours and 7 phone calls we called a tow company that would be her in 20min but he recommended based on the situation to call a lock smith and get a new key made. So we did just that problem solved with no help from AAA I will be canceling AAA it is literally useless. God forbid if it was late at night and I really needed help to n the side of the road.
Negative experience: I have never called AAA when it took less than three hours to get assistance. I’ve been sitting here for two hours now no actually three hours. They told me that they would have somebody out within 30 minutes that was 2 1/2 hours ago. I’m still sitting here beside the road, they never pro good service. There’s always a long long, long long long wait. There has to be a better roadside service somewhere cause cause AAA sucks
Negative experience: Just picked up our car after having the oil changed. This is the mess the tech left in the floorboard and seat after removing the cabin filter. I'm sure if we had purchased a new filter from them, he wouldn't have left such a mess. This car was spotless when we dropped it off. I expect it to be returned to me the same way I left it. One minute with a shop-vac would have taken care of it instead of having an upset customer.
Fantastic experience: The gentleman that came to change my tire Tuesday was EXCELLENT.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my Volvo here for everything! Very happy with their work and customer service. They are very thorough and provide pictures, explanations and costs!
Fantastic experience: Thank you to this AAA team, especially Katie, for their help and understanding! I was out of town here in Fayetteville and ran over a nail. They were closing in an hour and got me in immediately to fix it up and send me on my way. I could not be more grateful for their help and taking the stress and worry off of my shoulders. Thank you so much!! Thank you Katie !!
Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been AAA members since 2018. We both highly recommend Fayetteville AAA Care Care Services. Monty is an outstanding professional certified mechanic. His team provides the most detailed report on your car in Fayetteville. He is very honest, if it is not broken, don't fix it. The team at AAA Care Care works with you as family to family. You will always be treated honestly and fairly at the AAA Care Care center and we highly recommend this center and North Carolina AAA membership.
Negative experience: When I called because I am locked out of my car, the voice recorder could not understand the address, so transferred me to a lady named Annette. She extremely rude, and I understand customer service coming from I work in customer service taking calls like this. I did not understand how the membership worked, and she was very rude in explaining it and transferred to another line without consideration of my situation as I am standing outside in the pouring rain.
Positive experience: Friendly employees but the technical work not so much. I go in to get oil change service and left there with new problem. Before that, I paid for full service and had to return because they forgot to do some of the work that was on the work order.
Fantastic experience: Great service, very organized! My 2d time visiting this office, professional staff, very helpful getting overseas license.
Positive experience: Great service, friendly staff and good communication. Appreciated their shuttle service. Generally clean space. Deliver when and what they say.
Negative experience: AAA Carolinas is hit or miss. Needed a tow from Chadbourn and they consistently misrepresented that we were in the cue and waiting to assign it to a tow truck operator. Went on for 5 hours. Finally one agent told me I could hire a truck and they would reimburse. Got somebody on the first phone call. He told me none of the trucks in the area will tow for AAA bc they cut the rates so much. A week later, when I needed a tow from Lumberton to Fayetteville they got a truck out there quickly. Hit or miss. Just don't get stranded in Columbus County! Don't know why they didn't just say on first call that they don't have any contractors in that county and to hire my own and they would reimburse. And they did! So if they know they have to pay those reimbursement rates, why not just contract with trucks to begin with. Was horrible customer service.
Negative experience: I was told an hour to get car in, well 2 hours later it was pulled in. I have tired needing plugged and oil change. After talking everything apart in engine, 35 minutes the car was put on lift. Folks, my time is worth more than the pictures he was talking to create a report for me. My car was state inspected 5 days ago, tires are 5 months old, and brakes are 2weeks old. This is rediculous. What a way to spend a day off. These mechanics must be paid hourly and not flat rate. It shows. Car has been with same guy for two hours... Tire done, took him 3 trips to fill some fluid... And.... He went to lunch! Screw this place. My time is worth more than your coupon. You are losing money...2+ hours on oil change and your repair. Get a grip AAA.
Negative experience: Been going here for 3yrs. This is my last. AAA Member, I receive coupons for oil change, tire rotation, etc. So the tires have wheel locks. They go to take the tires off, they can't find the lock to take off the tires. I explained the last time they were rotated it was there, therefore they didn't put it back. No responsibility was taken. I was told they can break the 4 off and charge me $8.00 each to replace them or walk over to hyundai and purchase a new set. A new set for $50.00 vs. 32. When my bill is explained to me, he tells me he took off $60.00 for the labor for taking on and off the wheel locks. Seriously!!, you had to take them off to rotate the tires. And, then it costs me after I drive the car , to balance an align them. **So the reason why no responsibility was taken on their part for the lost lock, the carmax report shows the car was serviced elsewhere after it was there last year. This was true. It was at hyundai for Headlight recall. After finding this out ,I went to hyundai 2 days after I was there. They balanced the the tires and did an alignment .
Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience, fast and efficient!
Fantastic experience: Great customer service they went above and beyond for my car battery. Past store hours
Fantastic experience: Staff was friendly and helpful. Got passport pictures.
Fantastic experience: Quick and amazing service from Reilly Faircloth. Went in for an international driver's license. Walked out with one. A++ Service, extremely approachable.
Positive experience: I was able to get my momma mobile in reasonably quickly. Prices weren't super low, but they were fair. Good customer service! I love that they take pictures & provide a detailed breakdown of suggested repairs split into need priority- urgent & can wait a minute. They also have a shuttle, which I didn't use but will next time—Triple A discounts up to a certain amount on labor. The best part is that the work has a warranty on it longer than my regular mom-and-pop place.
Fantastic experience: This facility took my Jeep in right away on the Tuesday after Labor Day. Diagnostics, visual exam of parts & fluids. Needed new trans. Located the trans it needed & had me on my way by 4pm on Friday! Hooray! Jeep runs & shifts like a charm now!! Thanks AAA Car Care, Fayetteville!!!
Fantastic experience: Needed to get an international driving permit, they made it painless. I was in and out in 20 minutes and everyone was super nice. Great experience.
Positive experience: The staff and technicians were nice. Afterwards they came and talked to me and explained what they did and their recommendations. It was a routine "road trip check-up". They also emailed a detailed written recommendation. Great experience .
Fantastic experience: Awesome service! They diagnosed and fixed my breaks quickly!
Fantastic experience: AAA, car care service technician went over my vehicle with a fine tooth comb advised me what I needed and priority. I'm happy with their work I have found a new car care home
Negative experience: I had a 1pm appointment for a state inspection, which I scheduled weeks in advance. I arrived before my appointment time and checked in with Monty, who didn’t offer so much as a smile or a “Hi, how are you?” I ended up waiting for 2 hours for an inspection that should’ve taken 30 minutes tops. When the technician brought my car around, Monty at the front desk was not paying attention so I continued to sit there waiting another 15 minutes before finally getting up and approaching the desk to ask if I was done. Monty looked surprised to see that there was a packet with my paperwork and keys sitting directly in front of his face; that’s probably because he was messing around on the computer instead of having an ounce of respect for my time. Finally, I’m not sure if the car was even inspected properly because they recommended a ton of things that I’ve already had done recently. I won’t be going back to this unfriendly, unprofessional, and unethical shop.
Negative experience: Overly priced. Quoted my Mom a price and proceeded to recommend a credit card with the company to use for payment. There’s no reason anyone should be pressured to sign up for a credit card. All other service was okay.
Negative experience: I hate to post a review like this, but I had a terrible time with this auto shop. My car sat there for almost a month (partially due to miscommunications with insurance, partially due to the shop) before finally being finished. The shop’s mechanics and manager refused to take any accountability for their part in the delays and couldn’t get their story straight about what the issue was with delays. It wasn’t until I threatened to take my car elsewhere (after 3 weeks of the car just sitting their shop) and file a complaint that they seemed to move into gear. I am beyond disappointed with my experience as someone who has been a AAA member since I was 17. I was offered no compensation beyond a measly $50 off on a $2,000+ repair, and no apology when I finally was able to pick up the car. The person handling my payment at the end barely looked at me and seemed like he was rushing me out. This shop and it’s employees need to do better.
Fantastic experience: Last week, I was traveling from Florida to New Jersey with my brother who has autism. When driving through South Carolina something popped and my car began shaking while driving, the nearest service center was an hour north in Fayetteville, so we made the trip only to be denied service at three separate tire shops before trying AAA 30 minutes before they closed. After going in and telling my story to Franz Gillespie he jumped on the problem immediately like it was no problem how late we arrived. Franz and William Wagaman, the technician, were able to diagnose and solve my problem within 20 minutes and that allowed my brother and I to reach our destination of Norfolk that night and gave us the ability to do a lot of the fun stuff we had planned for the trip rather than worrying about fixing the car. Truly I cannot state how thankful I am to Franz and William for being extremely helpful and, quite frankly, saving my trip. I hope this review gets seen by the shop because I could not find a place on the website to post it. Franz and William do great work!
Positive experience: Home charge change and ? diagnosis Technician did not reset clock and seatbelt light still on in dash
Positive experience: Lady at the service desk was friendly and helpful. AAA has moved many of their print services to digital....I miss those tourbooks...
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience. I can really appreciate the professionalism and knowledge of the staff working at this location.
Fantastic experience: Very clean Lobby and Maintenance shop. Staff was courteous. I was able to schedule an appointment online (or call). I called for pricing. Recommend.
Fantastic experience: Seemed knowledgeable about the problem and the solution about my vehicle. He
Fantastic experience: Very God. Courteous, professional service. Franz has been there on my journey explaining everything to me . The entire crew gets two thumbs up .
Fantastic experience: Last minute appointment for a major alignment and oil change came out great. I also got my international driver permit here for an upcoming European vacation.
Fantastic experience: Great Service. I have been going here for all my auto services for years. Always good service and friendly...
Fantastic experience: I would like to thank the staff at AAA of Fayetteville for supplying the students at Seventy-First High School with North Carolina State Maps. We greatly appreciate your support!
Negative experience: After they service my car, My car died on me while I was driving on a major road. The car was towed back to them and after several day, they called to tell me that the car was running fine and that they could not find anything wrong with the car. So I went back to pick up the car and the car died on me again just a few block from the car care center. I took the car back to them and they still could not figure out what is wrong with the car. My car has never done this before. I payed more than $400 to service the car and they said that they also cleaned the fuel pump now my car is not working fine.
Fantastic experience: What ever your AAA needs are Pamela's the agent for you. Become a member with her, she is a professional class act. As her as your agent you are covered with confidence ☺️
Positive experience: Not sure started with not starting the car, but was ok after an hour later. Thought have it check. End of $800 I am not satisfy at all.
Fantastic experience: I worked with Paul and the team to find out the needed repairs to my daughters car remotely. They were transparent and very helpful in deciding what needed done immediately and what could wait. They worked quickly to get the repairs done, completing them far earlier than expected. The overall price was very competive and the team was very respectful in their interactions. I would definitely use them again.
Positive experience: They did great work and gave me some good advice on my car.
Fantastic experience: Staff is very pleasant and courteous. Satisfactory work and technicians go the extra mile
Fantastic experience: Great place to service car, get maps, and gift cards. Always very pleasant staff.
Fantastic experience: First time using this service, but won’t be my last. All staff were courteous and the service was exceptional!
Fantastic experience: Tire replacement was good and they also did a thorough check on my vehicle. The only wait time I experienced was for my tire order to arrive. I like the vehicle inspection report.
Fantastic experience: I went in for an oil change and was very happy with the sales people Fran’s and Paul. I also appreciated the Technician Jay for his wisdom and explanation of the care they took of my car. I will alway return to AAA for my car care.Thank you all, Joni
Fantastic experience: Had to have new belts. Paul and Jay assured me that they would treat me right. And that they did ! Price was reasonable. Much better than Toyota across the street. I will continue to be a AAA member. Thanks to Paul and Jay.
Fantastic experience: The car care team is great. The travel ideas are very helpful.
Fantastic experience: Very accommodating and professional was able to answer all my questions I was a shop owner and mechanic for 50 years and it takes slot to make me feel comfortable in another shop so good job and thank you will be a repeat customer
Fantastic experience: Great experience. Paul Dietzen in customer service was extremely helpful and friendly.
Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Made an appointment, showed up ten minutes early, and checked in. An hour and a half later they had not brought my vehicle in to the bay.
Fantastic experience: I've gotten my last four oil change services at this location and the service is always great, especially from Franz! I definitely recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Rims were bent. Helped find someone to fix them
Positive experience: The customer service is very good and respectful
Fantastic experience: Good experience...nice people; and always ready to serve; they are good service-people; but polite, at the same time.
Fantastic experience: Went to this location to get an International Drivers License and had a small issue with my car that I had just driven from Alabama. Mind you, I was not a AAA member. Darcy helped with the license and Franz helped with the car. Such great service that I now will be returning to my home state to join AAA. Thank you so much Darci and Franz!!!
Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! They ruined my car and tried to get away with it, and still pretty much trying to! I took my car for an oil change because everywhere else was booked and when my oil change was done before I left I noticed the left side of my car was done for! Whatever tech did my oil change did not know how to put a car on the lift and my car has now $2000 in damages! I went straight back inside and their customer service horrible the manager wasn’t there and didn’t have the courtesy to even reach out. It was noted on my receipt and was told it would be taken care of to go get and estimate and let them know when I have done so. It has been a month if not a little longer and still nothing. I sent over the estimate for repair like they told me to and two weeks later no call no acknowledgment nothing! The manager has never not once contacted me ever! My fiancé went to the location today to speak to the manager and he was told he has jury duty but then tomorrow to come back and the manager will be there! After my fiancé stated that’s seems odd how would they know if he still had to be attending or not if they hadn’t spoke to him. Then someone passed my fiancé a mobile phone saying it was the manager who then stated just go ahead get it fixed. Not only had the manager avoided us completely but you except me to go ahead and fix my car and then what happens you avoid us again for payment. I don’t think so. Corporate will me here for myself and my attorney because this is completely unprofessional and not how a business should be handled.
Negative experience: Service technicians do not know how to use state inspection equipment. I had 3 separate appointments to get my vehicle inspection. The 1st time, I was told that I had a "Not Ready" on all three emissions sensors and that I needed to put at least 50 miles on the car. Since I had just returned from a 2,000+ mile trip and had not replaced/serviced any sensors, I took the car to a reputable mechanic. The 2nd mechanic found nothing wrong and could get readings off the emissions. He advised me that the O2 signal was slow but I had no codes. It was going but still worked. I decided to replace it as a preventative measure. I drove the vehicle 100 miles and returned to AAA for inspection. This time I was told that they got "no signal" from my car and needed to take it to the dealership. The document stated that "communication est. : FAIL." The dealership disagreed and I put another 80-90+ miles on the car. The 3rd time I returned to AAA, I was told the same thing and that I could bring it to DMV for a waiver. After waiting in line at DMV, I was told to come back the next morning as they don't issue waivers in the afternoon. However, the next morning, I had an appointment at Firestone to get an alignment. I asked the service manager to run a diagnostic to verify that my car (ECM) was not working and to see if any codes showed up. I PASSED the inspection. I had no codes on the diagnostic. I contacted the AAA service manager and he addressed the issue. This is why I am not giving 1 star. However, since the service techs kept blowing me off and treating me as if I was stupid, I am giving 2 stars. I cannot regain the time (and gas) I wasted dealing with them.
Negative experience: The battery died after 5 years, but had a 6 year warranty. They did not refund the prorated portion as I expected.
Fantastic experience: Wonderful place to get someone to help you plan your vacation and her name is Melissa
Fantastic experience: Great service , and Sam was exceptional , checking us in and informing us on other services we may need !! Great Job with a smile Very Friendly, and I thought there was no customer service left. Thanks again Sam!! Gwen
Negative experience: On Tuesday, November 2nd at 5:15pm I was on my way to work and my tire blew out. I submitted a request for assistance and was informed the service would arrive by 5:52 pm. I called my boss and told them I would be running late. Well, 6:00pm came around so I decided to call and was then given a different time, 6:26pm. Needless to say, 6:26pm came and then it turned into 6:46pm, followed by another change to 7:28 pm. Finally, around 8:00pm, almost 3 hours later the truck arrived. By this time I no longer could go into work. Luckily I was able to make it to a nearby parking lot and it wasn’t too cold outside. All in all, I was extremely frustrated with what transpired. I’ve attached some of the text “updates” I received. I doubt I’ll be renewing my membership after this, I even have the platinum tier.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member for over 25 years and they have Lay's be good to me.
Fantastic experience: Great customer service. Quickly, friendly and helpful ladies in the membership and travel department.
Fantastic experience: The AAA center (on Skibo Rd) was very friendly and very efficient. They offered travel services and other kinds of services in addition to car repair. After a wait for a car part to arrive, they fixed my car in less than an hour. An excellent shop!
Positive experience: I wasn't happy with the customer service. Also, they didn't provide a ride after they said they would over the phone. I saw the shuttle van in the lot. EDIT: Okay, so, they made up for it a bit by giving me a coupon that saved me like $30. So that was cool.
Fantastic experience: The wait was long but the service was excellent. The service person explained everything to me that needed to be done to my vehicle. My second visit there was the same, good service. Staff is professional and courteous.
Fantastic experience: The service was excellent and it is included in your cost. They gave me booklets and a map of my journey.
Fantastic experience: It was pleasant and they got my state inspection done on the same day.
Fantastic experience: Great items for a good price. Clean store with a friendly staff.
Positive experience: I've always been happy with AAA roadside service. However, I'm not super happy with the service yesterday. My battery died and I had previously had a good experience when having the new battery installed by one of your wreckers so I wanted to buy a new battery like that again. When calling the automated service it took "battery" to mean I needed a jump start only. The automated service was super fast and easy, but unfortunately it wasted a wrecker resource because he could only jump start, he doesn't provide new batteries. I can jump start the car myself, and I told the wrecker employee that, but he jump started it anyway. This wasted my time and his. I confirmed with AAA customer service on the phone that my particular area doesn't have the new battery service, but that I could take it to a AAA location. I found my previous receipt showing the battery in the car was from December 2018 and since it hasn't been 3 years, I thought that the AAA location in Fayetteville NC would honor the replacement. I called the AAA location in Fayetteville and was told to bring it in the afternoon. So I jump started my car in the afternoon and took it there. I arrived around 2 pm and my car wasn't looked at until about 4:15. I was told that the battery in it did not fall under the 3 year warranty, since the battery warranty had been bought a few months before. (That first battery had only lasted a few months). I was told the warranty time frame was for the first battery, not the actual battery in the car. (I've had 2 AAA batteries in a row that have not lasted as long as they should have). I no longer have faith in AAA battery quality or the warranty quality. I also declined the battery connector/post cleaning (extra $36) since I can do that myself. I was told it was mandatory. It was not mandatory for any of the other batteries I've bought in the past. Am I being taken advantage of because I'm a small female who could not possibly know how to clean the posts myself?? I even heard the employee describing how to clean the posts with a wire brush to the male customer before me so that he could do it himself. I didn't have time to get anywhere else before they closed and I would like to get to work tomorrow in this car, so I told them I'd pay for a new battery and cleaning. It was done around 5:30 pm. I had to wait over 3 hours for a simple change out of a battery and was forced to pay for the extra cleaning. If I had known it would take this long to switch out a battery I obviously would have done things differently. Wrecker employees or Auto Zone type places can do it in about 10 minutes. Increase by 1 star because the business did refund the extra cleaning cost.
Fantastic experience: We have experienced consistently good service at this location. Employees are professional, polite and knowledgeable. Pricing is fair and competitive.
Fantastic experience: Very detailed service. They took pictures of everything! Best oil change I have ever had. Worth every penny.
Negative experience: I went the Fayetteville AAA center to have a screw drilled out after being told two days before the best time to bring the vehicle back was in the mornings. I was there before the center opened. I was told it was going to be 2hr before the screw could be removed. I left and later that day went to another business who I could tell by the customer volume they were busy. I explained that I needed one screw drilled out. The front person said I will send someone out to have a look. The tec brought out his drill and within three minutes the screw head was off so I could finish the project. Having to potentially wait 2hrs for a three minute process after being told the best time to arrive is in the morning questionable customer service for the Fayettville AAA Auto center.
Fantastic experience: I visited the travel area of AAA. They are supper friendly and helpful.
Negative experience: I made an appointment for the service I requested 2 days prior to dropping off. When I went to drop off my vehicle on the day of my appointment I was told the mechanics that usually work on the service I requested would not be in until the next week. So I went ahead and scheduled with them for the following week only to be told that I would have to reschedule again. I understand things happen and that sometimes shops are under manned but it’s the fact that I was not notified until I dropped the vehicle off on appointment day or until I call to follow up.
Fantastic experience: Everyone was very helpful and understanding. What I wanted completed was done efficiently. Another plus my mechanic was female. Yeah for women! The waiting area was very clean.
Positive experience: After first service. My car was still stalling and tapping after a tune up and oil change.
Positive experience: EDIT: Manager Jay from this location called me this morning and made this situation right. He explained that when the power steering fluid was changed at the last shop it was likely they did not do a flush, resulting in a dirty fluid despite the fact it was changed. This is a plausible explanation. We settled on a fair price for the services that were provided under the circumstances. Jay was very professional, excepted some responsibility, and was a pleasure to talk to. I have raised this rating to a 3, but my son is still getting one star, thanks for taking care of things Jay! My 17 year old son took his car here as he though he had squeaky brakes. He did not ask for an inspection, just wanted the squeak to be investigated. AAA called him back and reccomended $550 in maintenance and repairs. My son, knowing nothing about cars believes the work must be done and approved. AAA charged $35 to clean battery terminals, $50+ to put a dye in the engine to look for leaks, because apparently there were leaks, but they just put the dye in and didnt reccomend to fix the leaks? Did a transmission fluid exchange, a front end alignment, and a power steering fluid exchange. The brakes did not have an issue, but the tech said the squeaking was caused by loose struts. This vehicle has 150k plus miles and honeslty didnt need any of this work, but my son approved so shame on him, however the issue I have is they exchanged power steering fluid that had just been changed 2 months ago. They claimed it was "burnt". I know for a fact this fluid was changed because the car was in an accident and all of the fluid leaked onto the road, no way it did not get replaced during the repair. When I called and spoke to the tech he stated there is no way he could have known this fluid had just been changed, he was just going on what he saw. He stayed the maintenance was not listed on the carfax, as if everything ever done to a car is reported to carfax. I explained that there is not any way possible it is ok to change steering fluid after two months. An experienced tech would know that the fluid was new, so either they lied to my son to get the business, or the tech did not know how to identify worn fluid. These are the only two possible outcomes here. When I explained this to the people at AAA they became very defensive stating they had no way to know, they do not up sell to make money ( yes he really said that...after they conducted an inspection that wasnt asked for and "recommended"work that didnt need to be done). I could not resolve this issue with the tech, so he said a manager would call me back. Guess what!? As you would expect with an organization that lies and cheats its customers the manager has not called back in 72 hours. Today my son drove this car to Florida and it is pulling to the left, so the alignment will need to be looked at again. Honeslty if they would have just admitted they made a mistake with the power steering fluid and refunded the money I would have been fine with it. I get the up sell, and my son needed to learn the lesson. Once they got defensive about their lie and began arguing I knew the whole service was a lie. They have no integrity or care for their customers. I am not sure what it will take for resolution, but this is not ok. This is theft.
Fantastic experience: Very respectful and accommodating service staff. Highly informative and caring. While labor is a little on the high side, it comes with a 2-year warranty and you gotta love that.
Negative experience: They tried to RIP me off!!! Wouldn't let them touch my vehicle, had it taken to Pep Boys a block away, same repair for 45% less. Do not take your vehicle here...
Positive experience: Fairly expensive for the last minute purchase whereas if you think you may ever need them ( and believe whether you do or not eventually will ) for roadside assistance, don't hesitate. Otherwise I understand they charge the membership fee as well as a service charge for implementing them immediately. Although, I always say it never hurts to ask, anyone could be in a good willing to help kinda mood that day
Fantastic experience: We stopped there to have tires checked that we bought that morning in Virginia before hitting the road. They were very noisy, getting worse, and we were concerned. We pulled off I95 at Fayetteville and called the AAA Service center. Spoke to Brad Thorpe who said they would be glad to check out the tires and gave us directions since we didn't need a tow. Turned out one of the front tires was cupped which was the source of the noise. We bought 2 replacement tires. Since our truck was loaded with stuff we were taking to our daughter in St. Augustine, we asked if we could leave the two tires at the AAA until we came back through a week later. Brad said he would hold on to them for us personally if his boss had any problem with it (it was right at their closing time when our truck was ready). We came back today and Brad had our tires waiting for us. Thanks for being so accommodating!! We've had AAA for years and never had occasion to use our membership until recently. Roadside service responded promptly and had us on our way right away on two separate occasions. The treatment we received at AAA Fayetteville makes me comfortable continuing our AAA membership. A special thank you to Brad Thorpe at AAA Fayetteville!
Fantastic experience: They were effective. They said 1:24 pm and 1:23 the personas las here. Michelle supr dice.
