Fantastic experience: We rented our own house but used GolfTroop for the various courses. All went according to plan. Excellent and easy process

Negative experience: BE AWARE! A group of 4 longtime golfers traveled halfway across country to play Torrey Pines, a lifelong dream in late September 2024. The North Course was unplayable. Fairways were variegated to over-seed. There was loud, large equipment running all over the course, including in line of sight between tee boxes and greens. The tee boxes had no grass whatsoever. We were not forewarned of these conditions by Golf Troop. GT had access to advanced info from the City of San Diego about the conditions of the course, which we did not. By its agents own admission, Golf Troop failed us. Further, we rented a home through Golf Troop from Vacasa. The pool and hot tub had bot been serviced in weeks. The hot tub had mold and bugs. Both were unusable and unhealthy. It took more than two days of texts and phone calls to finally get the situation remedied. Not a way you’d like to spend a vacation. Golf Troop was of no assistance in resolving these issues. We paid a premium and didn’t get the benefits promised. Photos below as evidence.

Fantastic experience: Jimmy Rood and his team over at Golf Troops help set up this awesome experience to kick start our Annual Goons Golf Tournament. He set us up with this amazing house with pool/hot tub/outdoor lounge and 5 amazing courses to play at. This was something that all of us will remember and if we end up going back to Arizona I will definitely be setting up another package through them again!

Fantastic experience: Spent Thursday-Sunday in Collingwood with a group of 8. Amazing golf 3 courses 4 rounds 2x 18 one day. Lora bay, monterra bay, duntroon highlands all amazing courses and good price points for the round. Would be nicer to get more drinks/food with other rounds/courses instead of just duntroon - value comes in time spent organizing, and easy payments. rounds were priced reasonably but there is no significant savings from using the package. You pay the extra and you don’t have to worry about a friend falling through on their end of the trip ensuring you all enjoy yourselves, worth the extra in my opinion especially larger groups.

It was amazing and they were very responsive throughout the entire process. My one critique was the golf simulator at the haven was…… rough. But other than that I had an absolute blast and again, 5 star experience.

Fantastic experience: I have booked 2 trips through Golf Troop now. One with Bill and one with Jimmy. Both experiences have been awesome. Both guys golf trips have been excellent as far as the golf and the places we stayed at. The houses in Arizona are built for this stuff, and it’s so worth stretching for a house with a pool and putting green/simulator…no regrets. They check in with you multiple times before, during, and after your stay amounting to first class service. Bill gave me his direct number to make sure we had our questions answered ASAP on check in day! The first trip we needed help with the pool and they came within hours. I wouldn’t stay in Arizona without them! And to top it all off the prices for their packages are better than fair! This is your answer!

Fantastic experience: Bill from golftroop was a legend. He set up the entire trip for us, from lodging to selecting courses and tee times. It made a stressful and time consuming process completely seamless. In terms of satisfaction while on the trip, nothing matches it. The courses were amazing, sceneries we never expected to see coming from Canada. Even with crazy and unexpected weather we all had a great time on and off the course. The lofts were perfect. Extremely luxurious with more than enough room for all of us. We all loved the common space and the hot tub was much needed after a long day on the course. I will definitely be recommending golf troop to any buddies thinking about taking a golf trip and I might have to make another trip myself to play a couple more courses! It is an absolute no brainer for a golf getaway.

Fantastic experience: A group of 12 of us just returned from a 4 night, 4 day golf trip setup through Golf Troop. We personally worked with James and it was amazing. The value of the golf and stay package was amazing. We were able to play 6 rounds at 4 different facilities, with back to back 18s on 2 days. Everything from arriving at the golf course to arriving at the house was easy and simple. The house was amazing and easily fit comfortably 12 guys with their own beds. James covering the Tampa area handled all our accommodations and couldn’t have been more willing to tweak every detail to our liking. Jimmy covering Scottsdale after dealing with my brother openly took my group on and, when they say if it’s not exactly what you want, they are eager to make it so. Fantastic experience: I was looking to book a golf trip but wanted to go to specific courses in Scottsdale. Fantastic experience: Just got back from a 5 day golf outing to Scottsdale booked by Jimmy! It was the easiest and most hassle free trip that I have ever booked. The Sonesta Suites was a great place to stay with walking distance to great restaurants. The courses were beautiful and all went as scheduled with our tee times. Jimmy also booked our car and it was much less expensive than if we booked on our own. All in all, you need to book with Jimmy for a great golf getaway with absolutely no glitches.

I had a few courses and places to stay in mind. The cost was ok, but not ideal. And, it was a bit more of a hassle than I wanted to deal with. Enter, Bill Gehret, and GolfTroop. I can't even tell you how I found him, but I'm glad that I did! I told Bill what I wanted: what I wanted to do, the kind of place I wanted to stay in, and the type of course I wanted us to play on. Fantastic experience: Thank you to GolfTroop for helping me plan a great outing with the guys. We had 9 of us from both sides of the country celebrating my best friends bachelor party and GolfTroop made it easy to plan/organize a bunch of guys. We stayed at The Haven which was a great accommodation with more than enough room for a group our size. With the pool, hot tub, golf simulator, cornhole, ping pong and a pool table the day we took off of golfing and grilled/chilled at the house was full of fun activities. The team at GolfTroop made the booking experience easy and were very helpful as people added on or when one of the guys dropped out instantly updating the invoices and taking a lot off of my plate as the party planner. Fantastic experience: We had a 12 man group and our experience could not have been better. The accommodations at local condos near Old Town Scottsdale were very comfortable new and clean. Also close enough to the casinos for some of the guys. The courses Jimmy Rood helped us select were in great condition and fit our skill levels perfectly with the right mix of challenge and playability, Tee times were all lined out with vouchers so it was just show up and play. It couldn't have been easier. Planning the trip, Jimmy was very prompt with communications and did a great job informing me about options. Everyone in our group thanked me profusely for planning such a good trip but it was all Jimmy. This was the second time I have booked through him for our Arizona golf trip and I can't recommend him any more highly. I will book our next AZ trip with him.

Fantastic experience: Been doing a Ryder Cup style trip with 16-20 guys for the last 25 years. Missed a few years because of the Pandemic, so to say we we're chopping at the bit to play is an understatement. I have never used GolfTroop and was a little worried about staying at brand new accommodations that we haven't seen before. However, the 70th Street Lofts were incredible and a perfect set up for Golfers. We hired Chef Robin, who is associated with the Lofts, to do a Mexican night for us and it was awesome. I'm certain we'll be staying at the Lofts again in the future. Thanks go to James for setting up the trip accommodations and golf courses.

Cannot reccomend this organization enough for booking a golf experience to AZ. The lodging we received was brand new, the courses we played were pristine. Amazing overall.

Fantastic experience: I had a brief window to plan a trip before Christmas to meet my son in Phoenix for a couple of days of golf. Jimmy set us up with a very spacious and clean condo and booked us at Talking Stick and the Phoenician. I had not used GolfTroop before and was very pleased on how smoothly and easy the booking went. Golf courses were a treat to play especially the back nine at the Phoenician along Camelback Mountain. Almost got a hole in one on 17!

Fantastic experience: Jimmy R was the best. I just got back from my trip in Scottsdale and all the headache of booking hotel and tee times was all taken care of. He just sent me an itinerary with all of my requests and times and saved a lot of money vs booking yourself. He was very responsive throughout the whole process. Was able to get tee times at places that the other companies were not able to do. Will be back can’t wait to get back to the warm weather! Only complaint was a frost one day, guess the Golf Troop guys can’t control the weather! Haha

Fantastic experience: Jimmy did a great job of booking our golf trip to AZ. We gave him our flight times, number of rounds we wanted to play and he did the rest. The accomodations were top notch and the golf courses were all 4 and 5 start courses. I will use Golf Troop to book our next trip.

Fantastic experience: Have you never been to Scottsdale Arizona before, I found it very difficult navigating all the different courses and lodging selections. So I turned it over to golf troop and it got me into three amazing courses and set up my hotel also. There were a few questions along the way and Bill always took care of me. I played desert Canyon, McDowell mountain, sunridge Canyon and they were all absolutely fantastic. I would absolutely use them again.

Fantastic experience: Jimmy with GolfTroop was just great! He absolutely was wonderful to deal with and made great recommendations and accommodations that made our trip exceptional. We didn’t make it easy on him either, unfortunately we had people commit and then cancel, arrival dates and departures changed….very dynamic and ever changing because of the world we are in. Having Jimmy take care of everything took the stress off of us and we walked away with memories of a life time. Fantastic experience: I setup my Golf Package through Jimmy Rood of Golftroop back in June to Golf for 13 consecutive days at 13 different golf courses from September 5 to September 17 2021 in the greater Scottsdale and Phoenix area. Jimmy was able arrange all of my Tee Times as early as possible to help offset the heat. All of the Courses were fantastic! In addition Jimmy was able to coordinate a rental car and a really nice condominium in the Scottsdale Arizona area. I couldn't of asked of a better person who took care of my request! I would highly recommend to go through Jimmy Rood to set up your golf package!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with GolfTroop. I was planning our 25th anniversary trip and was very indecisive. These people were very helpful and patient with me through many questions and changes I made. They did follow up calls to see if I had any other questions.
