Negative experience: PLEASE READ TO THE END. THIS AGENCY DOESN'T DESERVE EVEN 1 STAR. LAST YEAR I BOOKED A FAMILY TRIP FOR 4 PEOPLE TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND A RESERVATION FOR MY MOM TO TRAVEL FROM CUBA TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. LONG STORY SHORT, MY MOM DIDN'T TRAVEL AS PLANNED AND NEITHER DID WE. WE HAD TO BOOK A HOTEL NEAR MIAMI AIRPORT TO BE ABLE TO SLEEP (WE DON'T LIVE IN MIAMI) BECAUSE THE FLIGHT NEVER DEPARTED AND THE NEXT DAY IT DIDN'T DEPART EITHER. SO WE HAD TO PURCHASE TICKETS ON OUR OWN TO GET THERE BECAUSE MY MOM WAS ALREADY AT THE RESERVED HOTEL IN PUNTA CANA. ALL THIS SITUATION CAUSED US LOSSES, AS SINCE JULY LAST YEAR 2023 UNTIL NOW THEY HAVEN'T PAID ME BACK THE EXPENSES WE INCURRED DUE TO THEIR FAULT. NEITHER THE HOTEL WHERE WE HAD TO STAY, NOR THE PLANE TICKETS WE HAD TO BUY, NOR THE DAYS WE LOST BECAUSE THE PLANE DIDN'T LEAVE AND OTHER INCIDENTAL EXPENSES. I HAVE ALL THE RECEIPTS AND MESSAGES. BELIEVE ME, WHAT WE THOUGHT WOULD BE A DREAM TRIP TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE, AS THERE WERE MANY MORE THINGS THAN I CAN WRITE. I HAVE TRIED TO BE PATIENT BUT I FEEL A LOT OF AVOIDANCE TO NOT PAY. I SHARE MY EXPERIENCE SO YOU THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING WITH AN AGENCY LIKE THIS THAT IS UNABLE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ITS OWN MISTAKES. SINCE I STARTED WITH AGENT LIZANDRA, VERY KIND AND ALL, BUT THERE WERE ERRORS THAT COULD HAVE COST ME A LOT. FOR EXAMPLE, SHE NOTIFIED ME OF MY MOM'S INTERVIEW AT THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC CONSULATE IN HAVANA ON THE SAME DAY AS THE INTERVIEW. AND IT WAS AT THAT TIME THAT SHE SENT ME ALL THE DOCUMENTS MY MOM NEEDED TO TAKE; I HAD TO FILL THEM OUT AND SEND THEM TO MY MOM SO SHE COULD FIND SOMEONE TO PRINT THEM AND TAKE THEM, RUNNING TO BE ON TIME. AFTER WE RETURNED, ALSO UNDER GREAT INCONVENIENCES, SHE WASHED HER HANDS LIKE PONTIUS PILATE. AND THE PERSON WHO SUPPOSEDLY HANDLES MY CASE AT FIRST GAVE ME A 'JUSTIFICATION' BUT HAS NOT RETURNED MY CALLS. IT IMPRESSES ME THAT WHEN THEY ASK WHO IS CALLING, THE INSTRUCTION IS TO MAKE UP SOMETHING TO AVOID ATTENDING. ALL THIS CAUSES ME A LOT OF SADNESS BECAUSE ALL WE WANTED WAS A GOOD VACATION FOR MY CHILDREN AND TO REUNITE WITH MY MOTHER AFTER ALMOST 5 YEARS WITHOUT SEEING HER. MY INTENTION IS TO RECOVER SOME OF WHAT WE LOST. I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO IF I DON'T HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO SAY, I'D RATHER NOT SAY ANYTHING. BUT I HAVE WAITED 1 AND A HALF YEARS PATIENTLY WITHOUT RESULTS AND I BELIEVE THAT ANYONE INTERESTED HAS THE RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT THEY'RE FACING IF THINGS DON'T WORK OUT WITH THIS AGENCY. I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS MATTER WILL END, IF BY TELLING MY EXPERIENCE THEY DECIDE TO KEEP WASHING THEIR HANDS. I WILL CONTINUE TO INSIST AND LEAVE EVERYTHING IN GOD'S HANDS.

Positive experience: It was the first time I was going to book with you and I wanted a date for 13 days from now. They gave me a good offer but when it came to paying, they only allowed me to pay by Zelle or cash, (something I never understood) because it was very close to the date, as they told me. In the end, I learned to book my own vacations and it turned out to be cheaper. So I think it's my first and last time. It's a shame you lose customers.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, the outbound flight was delayed by 3 hours just like the return. I paid for a package for my family from Cuba and they arrived the day after the hotel check-in because the flight from Cuba to the Dominican Republic left at 6 pm and they returned to Cuba at 7 am on the day of the departure, so they lost two days of hotel... I will never travel with them again.

This weekend I returned from Punta Cana and my flight was canceled. They sent me to a hotel and the Puncana team was in contact the whole time, so much so that I immediately had a return flight with another airline the next day. This was something that was out of their hands but the important thing was that they resolved it quickly.

Negative experience: After the third time traveling with Puncana, my experience was terrible. At the hotel, those traveling with another travel agency had priority. We were given our room at 6:00 PM. We went to the concert, which ended in a problem, and Puncana did not guarantee us a seat to sit because to have a table we had to pay $240 for a bottle. When it was time to leave after the problem arose, we didn't have a bus to return to the hotel, and when we complained, the Puncana representative told us that we hadn't bought a bus. I hope my comment serves as an experience for many to think twice before calling them to travel with them!!!

Positive experience: Our family trip was spectacular. The hotel was in very good condition as was the staff that works in all areas of the facility. The selected tours to enjoy with the family met all our expectations. What was quite contradictory for us was related to the concert that was supposedly free and included in the reservation. It turns out that in order to have the right to sit somewhere, we had to pay for a table and a bottle of drink at a cost of $250, otherwise we had to stand, as the tables wherever they were set up were considered VIP. After speaking with the person who attended us, we called the supervisor of the venue, and there were no arrangements made. We had to pay even though only one of the four consumed that offered drink. And the other family members also had to pay for another table. This was never clarified beforehand. In fact, other families with children and elderly adults left the place when they were informed of the payment needed to have seating. However, on another previous occasion, we went to the concert of Gente de Zona, we had an assigned table, and they did not charge us for it, and whoever wanted to consume the drink paid for it.

Negative experience: The checking at the hotel was horrible!! We were waiting for a room for 5 hours and the concert ended in a horrible fight, when we were ready to leave and go back to the hotel there was no bus for our family to go back to the hotel very disappointed with the hotel and Puncana service. I am done with Punta Cana!!
