Fantastic experience: Not my first time using them to renew my driver's license and they didn't disappoint. In and out in 5 minutes. Reception was friendly and made sure I had everything. The photo lady was great. Now, this AAA is about 25 minutes for me one way. Why do I keep going there? Because I've been to the DMV, and I've been to other AAA's. This one never has a wait and everyone is always super friendly. I called this morning for the hours, and she gave them and made sure I had everything I needed so I didn't drive for nothing.
Negative experience: Website says open till 6pm. Arrived at 4:18pm and was told they could not renew my license b/c Harrisburg closes at 4:15 and "so do they".
Fantastic experience: Went in for a title transfer, Kimberley (with an -ey!) was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. She made the whole process easy and fast. Would recommend this location any time.
Negative experience: Went here to remove a name off a title. What an experience and I’m not talking in a positive way. I guess we got the new employee and I get everyone needs a chance to learn. But this lady really needed someone to sit with her and walk through everything instead of leaving her on her own (asking questions to another employee). It took over an hour. She didn’t know that removing a name off a title you just treat it as a gift. I knew that much. She tried giving me a license plate for a truck. I corrected her and she giggled. Kept asking where we all needed to sign and would forget right after asking. Screwed up the prices over and over. i hope im driving a "legal" car. I keep waiting to get pulled over or get a crazy bill from PennDot for AAA mistakes.
Negative experience: Don't go here for a car title transfer. They have no idea what they're doing.

Positive experience: Service here may vary (as it does in other stores/offices), but I was very disappointed in the service I received when inquiring about completing an identification form for displaced residents (i.e., currently no street address). Offices are clean and organized. 10/29/24 I should add that I have been a AAA member in the past when I owned a car.

Negative experience: Well I been with aaa for 29 years instead of me going to there every year to pay my bill I told them to take it out of my bank account instead of me going there gave them all my info for the account they never took it out so disappointed never had a problem with them nobody gave me a straight answer when I called

Fantastic experience: I went here today to complete a title transfer. Miss Darlene helped us out and was an absolute peach! She was totally knowledgeable and processed us very quickly. She was so kind! I was even talking to my friend who was transferring the car to me and I noticed a little poster on the wall about fish that interested me. Darlene produced a fish and wildlife magazine that I was able to take home with me, that contained the poster I was admiring! It's such a neat little magazine and I learned a bunch of neat things. Back to the actual place.. Bonnie got us in super fast and efficient, and made sure we had everything we needed for our paperwork. Darlene got us and within maybe 30 or so minutes. If it was longer, it sure didn't feel like it! Darlene and her peers were far more pleasant than sitting in a DMV all day. 10/10 would recommend for your titling needs!
Negative experience: I didn't have a pleasant experience while transferring an out-of-state title to PA. The lady who attended to me was rude. Their wifi was not working properly, so I requested that she do a Google search to find out the sales tax in VA. The service lady didn't agree with my request, and her behavior was rude. I have been a AAA member for many years. If this is how you respond to AAA members, it has compelled me to consider giving up my AAA membership and changing my insurance to another company.
Fantastic experience: I am a young adult who purchased their first car recently, and I did my entire transaction (car sale as well as buying insurance) right there at Pleasant Hills AAA. The entire process was so smooth and easy to understand thanks to both Keith and Darlene. They were both very kind and patient towards me and explained things in a way that was easy for a first time car owner to understand. Not only that but this is the perfect one-stop-shop to get all of your things done!
Fantastic experience: 8/2/23, 9 am: Pleasant greeting and help from the young lady at the front desk upon my arrival. Excellent, fast, efficient, knowledgeable service and help from Natalie L, Branch Specialist IV. Process to register and title my car in PA went smooth. Everything goes well when you have the proper documents and Natalie L taking care of you! I was there about 30 mins to accomplish all my tasks. Very happy!

Negative experience: It really irritates me when I call the direct line to this specific store & speak to "someone who knows" abt my specific quandary...then show up with everyone in tow & get told they can't do that! Time & aggravation! If you're "the one that knows" then why am I walking out with NOTHING & have to come back?!! If someone calls before & asks a very specific question & details, then coming in person all prepared should've been simple!
Negative experience: The woman at the front desk was rude. While walking away from her desk, I overhead her make a remark to the other customer about us trying to sneak past her. My aunt is blind and I was taking her to a seat so she didn’t have to wait in line with me. Brian in the photo center though is 5 stars. Very personable and friendly.

Positive experience: I generally have a positive experience here for license updates or travel plans. Unfortunately I called 10/7/2022 and they no longer offer foreign currency exchange. This service is still listed on their website at the time this review was published. Its a shame because they offered excellent rates to members.

Positive experience: I recently went to the Pleasant Hills, Pa office outside Pittsburgh. I was applying for a handicapped placard. There were a couple of minor things wrong on the form, specifically the medical providers license number. Kimberly searched using the online data base patiently waiting due to slow computer response time. The search there didn't provide the answers we needed so Kimberly called the medical provider and got the correct numbers. Kimberly went above and beyond to insure that the form went through and that I would be able to get What I needed.
Negative experience: They take forever! Slow & they don’t know how to type address worth of anything!
Negative experience: The lady at the counter when you walk in is nasty. She is always there and always says that what you need cannot be done. She basically won’t let you in or talk to someone who perhaps knows what they are doing. Today marks the 4th time that I have called and was told that what I was asking for was doable only to find out when I get there it’s a different story. AAA is useless anymore. They can’t take driver license photos, they can’t do title transfers, their insurance rates are one of the highest quotes I got and they can’t even manage to send a tow truck when you are stranded. I have no reason to continue my 33 year membership.
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at this location. I needed to transfer my FL plate, title, and registration to PA. Joe was the individual that helped me out and was extremely kind and accommodating. The process was smooth and fairly quick! It cost about $170 with purchasing the membership which actually saved some money. Your vehicle will need to be there in order to do this process and you will also need a copy of the title. If you own the car, you can just bring the title in but if it is still under finance, AAA will need to receive it from the bank you financed through (make sure you do this ahead of time to avoid having to make 2 trips!).

Positive experience: Went to this location to get my title and plates processed. The wait seemed longer than it should be, but the gentleman that helped me was efficient and friendly. He walked me through the charges clearly. It seemed strange that there was about a $50 charge paid to AAA for the service when I'm not aware of any other options.

Fantastic experience: Went to get my photo taken for my driver's license. No wait, great service, felt welcomed when walking in. The photo taker was very nice and efficient. The greeter was willing to give help and information. I needed some info on obtaining a passport and she was very helpful, got me tge info I needed. I highly recommend this AAA. Kudos!
Fantastic experience: Chuck in the Photo ID Drivers License Center was fantastic, professional and explained everything. My son was a bit apprehensive and Chuck put him at ease and helped him through the process.
Negative experience: So this is the third and final time I've been let down and dissatisfied with the service at this location. Today I stopped in the verify I had the correct documents to transfer vehicles from one business to another around 1pm. Wait time was fairly prompt and Joe helped me. Told me I needed title to the vehicles and to contact my bank for the title I did not have. Perfect did that and returned with titles that I did have with other vehicles. Came back around 5pm. Sat down and waited a little longer this time to get service from a woman who could only renew a registration for another vehicle didn't know what/how to help me with my other business transactions. I was put back in line. At 615 mind you im the last person in the facility at this point Rebecca comes over with a poor attitude and proceeds to tell me I need several other documents to conduct my business and the she wasn't going to entertain helping me or answering any more of my questions. Then proceeded to tell me go to another notary if I didn't like her decision. What a way to loose business. The biggest problem with corporate America there is no accountability. So now I have almost 4 hours of my day taken up and was able to renew one registration for one vehicle when I have 5.
Negative experience: The website says you can buy kennywood tickets here. I went to the office to do that and was told they are not selling the tickets right now. They need to change the website. I wasted my time and gas and the receptionist didn't seem to care. Also getting into the parking lot traveling south on rt. 51 is dangerous.
Fantastic experience: Just had to get my picture taken for Driver's License. Asked lady about Real id for travel she suggested passport can get at AAA. She rocks!!! young lady who called your name very nice and kind. Fast service and these two ladies and man beside them very Professional. Give them a raise.

Much, much better than my first experience there in 2017. ******************************** Update: I recently went there in March 2022 to have some license plate work done and to renew the registration on my vehicle. Kristie helped me in getting my new disability plates and streamlining the registration process. I arrived at 1105 and left the parking lot at 1140 with my new plates on the vehicle and my registration in hand.
Negative experience: Horrible they booked me for a trip to Vegas, I mean the flight was good but the hotel she suggested was dirty, smelly,, if you ever go to Vegas DON'T I REPEAT, DON'T STAY AT THE EXCALIBUR. MAKE SURE AAA GIVE YOU MORE THAN 1 OPTION OF A HOTEL. AAA SHOULD'VE TOLD ME OF ITS 2.5 STAR RATING

Fantastic experience: I don't know if it is typical but Saturday morning around 11 am the place was empty. I could have gotten any DMV service I wanted without a seconds wait. I got a new plate for my vehicle within 5 minutes of walking through front door. I also noticed no one was waiting for drivers license photos.

Negative experience: They're taking the silly Covid thing too far and if they are going to be strict with it, then the information they give over the phone should match in-person. I called needing something notarized. Told to come right on in, no appointment needed only to be greeted by someone at the door who said no one was available right now, give us your phone number, wait in the car, we'll text you when ready. Silly. However after waiting 25 minutes outside, the transaction was quick.

Fantastic experience: We have used this location for notary services, PA Dept of Transportation services and they planned our big 2 week family Hawaiian trip years back. Everyone there is so professional, lovely to talk to and they always get the paper work done correctly and in a very timely fashion.
Fantastic experience: Went in a little after 9am on Saturday to switch my title to PA state, get registration and a special license plate. Couldn’t be happier with how easy and quick it was. The receptionist who’s name I didn’t catch was incredibly friendly and helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. Erin then took care of the whole process quickly, and was very kind throughout it all. I was in and out within an hour, even with all the different things I needed done. No lines, no hassle of any kind and some of the nicest people I’ve dealt with. So much better than going to a separate notary or title work, then to the DMV for registration. Will definitely be recommending this location to any friends that need registration or title work done!
