Fantastic experience: Arrived at 4:30pm on Sunday for my international driving permit. There was about four groups areas of me. Finished around 4:58pm. $20 fee, filled out the application (1pg), bring two passport photos, I used the extra from two years ago. You can take them at Walmart for $8 with 4 copies. Efficient

Negative experience: I just had the worst experience at this branch. Overall a bad experience with AAA. I called the Brokaw branch to pay my bill and asked what will be my monthly bill coming up. They said $262. I said wait that is what I was paying for when I had three cars on my policy and I had taking it off and they still want to charge me same price. I was told it would be cheaper since I had previously payed $162 for two vehicles. The excuse was that they raised our insurance $800 annually but stated they knocked off $109, yet I’m still paying same price. They said they would call me back the next day and try and fix this after they found out I was paying so much but no reply. I called today and kept getting forwarded to the Milpitas branch. The lady there was kind but the same charade. No one really explaining why I am paying same price but that the rates went up. I have several friends who have AAA and they aren’t paying close to what I am paying. Worst experience and the biggest ripoff! Hopefully I get in touch with someone competent and not trying to rip me off.

Negative experience: Been a member for a long period of time and had been rejected to use DMV services to renew registration and staff here very rude and disrespectful and wood be subjected as condescending You pay for AAA services but when attempting to use them there rejection and policies on why you can't use what you pay for

Fantastic experience: I went there to obtain registration & title for vehicle purchased out of state. Susanna was incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. I definitely recommend this branch if you want to have your job taken care of fast and easy. I had gone to another branch on Capitol Expwy. where they were inefficient and seemed to be looking for problems in a simple process that was straight forward.

I have question regarding my policy and she said wait someone will call you and I waited like half an hour over there sitting and they are just talking each other and laughing and someone came after me and they called out them first.

Fantastic experience: I was here to apply for International Driving Permit, and was in and out in about 15 mins. $ 29, good for one year and cover 150+ countries. I had printed out the application and filled out the paperwork before hand, but needed to take photos which AAA does. When I entered the door I was greeted by a friendly staff and she asked me the purpose of my visit and took my paperwork, and the pointed me to where to take the passport photos. That way she could take care of my paperwork at the same time -- so efficient. The girl took my photos are super friendly as well, and she even let me used a mirror and checked the photos before she printed them out. Friendly, helpful, efficient.

Negative experience: The insurance agent, Amanda Phan, was always checking her computer or playing with her phone (sometimes even not looking at us), while talking to us, which is not professional. Because our native language is not English, she became impatient and rushed us to sign the contract. And even told us there would be another customer and ask us to sign the contract quicker. But actually she was answering her personal phone call. Notice this because we came back to ask another question and she was talking with her friend. This is our first experience with AAA. Still signed the contract, but the overall feeling is bad. The reason to give 2 star is for the kind manager and the receptionist.

Wait isn’t very long from oil changes , security system, road side service, DMV services, auto insurance we always receive information in a timely matter and leave satisfied. Fantastic experience: Went back and forth with DMV, as they would not take my registration payment due to an emissions recall. Somaya at AAA was extremely helpful in applying my payment, explained next steps, and even went the extra mile to ensure I walked out with a temporary operating permit.

Fantastic experience: Easy to pay my DMV registration. They also have a DMV Machine there I noticed while waiting in line. There might be a fee to use it, but the convenience of this location is great and the staff has always been inviting on my visits. What I thought was cool and safe is if you're a member and want to sell your car. You can use their locations as a meet up spot for the test drive and take care of the registration and fees at the same time.

Negative experience: I have been trying to get my car registered for over 5 months now AAA in Hayward told me I need a letter from Nv to show proof of registration I finally got the letter took it to AAA in San Jose it's close to my job When I get out of work everything is close AAA refused to help me said I need to go to DMV I decided just to deal with even if I have to stand in that long line I joint AAA FOR CONVENIENCE so I don't have to wait in that long line at DMV

Can't express the relief and time from an actual DMV, which I must add is doing very well keeping lines moving. But yes it's true! Pay for the membership to get the little perks too. Fantastic experience: Stellar customer service. I had a vehicle inspection done and they're very thorough, and I'm scheduled to have a series of maintenance services done there. The member discounts and guarantees are great.

Negative experience: 1st time I went, they were closing at 2pm. I was the last in line. The guy outside was rushing me. When I got in the 2nd guy said I had to pay my DMV registration renewal with a credit card only. I had only cash. He started doing the renewal without telling me ahead of time credit card only. I could not Pay with credit card that day. He spent 10 minutes cancelling my transaction. He had to ask for help to cancel the transaction while I waited. After he was done he said to me have a nice day no apology for the miscommunication. I told him I received lousy service that day. He responded why? I reviewed the above to him and he said again have a nice day. Those 2 people need better training at customer service. Why does AAA not take cash?

Negative experience: I went in for a transmission repair and the since I was not quoted until diagnostics($148) had been run I didn't know the cost. When I received the cost from the customer service they offered me 2 costs structures fOR a P0750 code, 1. $1500(fix-they said maybe) and 2. $4300(total tear down and replacement), but I know a new transmission cost $1800 for my truck(2015 RAM 1500) and the labor should cost no more than 1 day or around $1000(they charge $135/hour for AA members). I felt like I was a victim of upselling and treated as a dollar sign and not a customer. I went to another shop in the same area and they are charging me $950 for the repair. I will not go there again for auto repairs. Good customer service though.

Fantastic experience: Excellent COVID-19 Safety Protocols are observed at this office. Patient, professional & polite staff. They wipe the counter & credit card stylus after every use. AAA saved me again! I had deployed w/ the Red Cross to support the Counties Wildfire responses & forgot that the DMV had not mailed (or it was lost in the mail) my car registration renewal. W/ only a photo of my insurance card AAA was able to complete my registration& issue me a new sticker. Absolutely vital since I probably will not return home until after my registration would have expired. Thank you AAA. Note: I think last year it was cash or check only. This year no checks but credit card is OK!

Negative experience: Horrible. I sold a car with them in person and they said "Everything fine, we filed all paperworks to DMV and you don't have to worry about anything". I asked 3 times , are you sure? They said yes. Don't need to file anything to DMV, you are good because you made it inside of office. Now new owner didn't finished paperwork and i got lien mail. (yes for the car which i sold years ago). They only told me when i contacted them after years. Now when i contact them they are telling that they are not liable. If you are not liable what "Everything fine, we filed all paperworks to DMV and you don't have to worry about anything" means? Do not use their DMV service, just go to regular DMV office, you will be safer. When i ask them can you give me a proof that we had transaction, they basically declining saying that they do not store anything and its my own responsibility. Avoid using their DMV service.
