AAA Waterford

Fantastic experience: I'm a member of AAA, but the real reason I am is because I went in there to renew my driver's license one day and saw that I could pick up my Amazon packages there. Trust and believe it's a nice, secure place to have your packages delivered instead of your house or apartment. Folks love to "find" items from in front of your door or off of your front porch and take them. This avoids all that!!! Try it, you'll like it!!!!!

Negative experience: Zero claims, clean record, insurance went from 232 when I signed up a year ago to 324 now..SCAM. everyone else offering me low 100s. AAA IS A RIP OFF.

Negative experience: I have had AAA for decades and AAA needs to have competition to offer better value and dependable road service. I called approxamately abbout 8:15 AM because my car needed to be towed to my service station. The reason it needed to be towed was because all the idiot light started to flash, the breaks were not responsive and there was fluid leaking. I drove only a few feet and parked the car in front of my house. The folks at my service station said to have my towed and DO NOT DRIVE IT. So my first call was at 8:15 AM. I talked to the gentleman, he took down all the needed information and asked me to hold so I did until a phone system cut me off. I expected a call back it did not happen. So about 10 AM I called again and a young lady answered, she apologized, took down the same exact information and said that the tow driver will be there within the next hour and ten minutes and I will recieve an update. The tow driver finally arrived after an hour and a half and said oh you can't start you car. I said no, my car needs to be towed because, there are a number of issues with it and that it should not be driven. He looked at me puzzled and then asked me where are the tow hooks on the car? I told him that he is the person who is doing the towing and that I know nothing about towing. etc. etc. etc. AAA I am not going to remove this review and write to some do nothing department you have. You need to revamp your customer services, and have real time acess to solve issues and not wait or chasing down people on a phone tree. Irate, frustrated, and disappointed.

Negative experience: My car broke down and I couldn't drive at 3am. I am a rideshare driver and when I called aaa they told me I would have to wait 4 hours before they could tow my car home!!! I was extremely mad how is it OK to leave someone possibly a woman by herself in a car God know where for 4 hours or longer?? Even as a man that is dangerous and aaa is NOT cheap!! Why are we as customers expected to pay $200 a year if don't get quality car service I realize that this is the page for the Waterford retail location but it was the only way I could think to leave a review. Even a cop checked on me and couldn't give me a ride home and explained aaa has fewer and fewer tow truck drivers. That there was nothing he could do. I had to leave my car and pray that it didn't get stolen or vandalized. Luckily it didn't and I got rideshare home for myself. But this is inexcusable!! Lower the price of aaa or provide faster service somehow. Get more tow truck drivers or aaa locations!! Now!!

Negative experience: My husband had to call for a tow today, he called at noon, was told it would be CDLS doing the pickup, and it would take about 120min (2hrs). Forward to 4pm, still no pickup, no calls. He calls AAA again, he's told it may be 6-8hrs more before pick up! Ryan said that the call hadn't been accepted yet, so there was no way to know WHEN the tow would be done. We've had AAA since 2000, this is the absolute worst! No excuses, the service sucks!

Fantastic experience: After locking my keys in my car AGAIN, the process of getting someone to come out was super easy online (like, insanely easy) and I had a very affable guy helping me within the hour. As always, I'm so grateful for my AAA membership.

Negative experience: I never got a Membership Card. I had to have two different strangers on 2 occasions lately to jumpstart my car as it was impossible to get in contact with AAA. I need to cancel.

Fantastic experience: I went there recently and had multiple people help me, my child, and my elderly father get passport photos and update my driver's license. They were very prompt and kind to all of us. I wouldn't bother going anywhere but here!

Negative experience: I made an appointment with a travel agent for 1:00 today. She confirmed twice by text. We were told on arrival she was running a little late. 95 minutes later (and zero communication with her) they said “another 15 minutes.” We left without a single apology or explanation and will not be returning. If I could leave less than one star I would!

Fantastic experience: Best experience ever! I had to change my name on my driver's license and make a reservation for a rental car. Kyle, who helped us was just amazing. He was thorough, very knowledgeable and gave us some good tips. It took all of 10 minutes to update my driver's license (the nice lady at the photo area was so pleasant). This location and everyone that works there are just wonderful, and the customer service is superior. Thank you for what I thought would be a grueling experience turned out to be easy and fun! KUDOS to Kyle who even offered some "free" marriage counseling (he made our day!)

Negative experience: Extremely displeased with their travel agents. I booked an appointment online and when I arrived, that agent was not working. Another agent (Kris) decided to meet with me. She provided maps and took notes as to what my needs were. The only thing is that she never followed through. She never emailed me any travel information, returned my calls, or met with me when I stopped in the office. Of course, AAA took my money to renew the membership, no problem!

Negative experience: Impossible to call local number! Get routed into a national cue. Just needed to find out if they sold travel pillows. Could not get through to local person. Such is the new way of outsourcing I guess. So much for having local brick & mortar if you can’t call them.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for years and they’re always very friendly at this branch. My most recent visit was for foreign currency exchange. I tend to shop around And they offer the best deal with it comes to that. The fee was only $12 which technically covers the overnight shipping that’s required every time you order currency. Not sure if the prices might change for non-AAA members.

Negative experience: Called for roadside assistance for young lady in distress at 4:58pm and was told someone would call with ETA. Called back at 640 after not hearing from anyone and I am told that my service call got placed a number of calls behind other people. It is now 7:32pm and young lady is still waiting in the cold for AAA to dispatch someone. Not worth the money to have people lie to you when you're in need.
