Negative experience: Rooms are overpriced. And when you turn the water on it pours out rusty water for a few seconds. Also take the hot water 5-10 minutes to get hot. Won't be staying there again. But the free breakfast was not bad.

Fantastic experience: I had a ball friendly clean fast assistance and would definitely recommend it to friends and family I will be returning!!!

Negative experience: I got sick from black mold behind my bed frame and also In bathroom tub if you notice everything and some rooms seems to be patched or covered seeming like they’re just trying to cover it don’t recommend this place at all

Fantastic experience: I read many reviews before booking here. My experience was rather different. I booked online upon arrival the gentleman at the front was very professional, polite and helpful. I was very concerned about entering the room but to much relief the room was comfy and clean. Had no issue with tv, heater/ac, and water. Plenty of hot water. $100 deposit is pretty common at any hotel. For this hotels location it was quite and really decent.

Negative experience: The bathroom wasn't clean the floors were dirty and the water was barely warm enough to consider it not cold and I tried to get the front desk to assist me all they would do is tell me to let the water run fo 10 minutes which would be fine but even after a full 30 minutes the water was hardly room temperature if I thought getting a refund was possible I would and just try the hotel next door but it's to late and I'm exhausted from driving all day I just know I'll never stay at another country side inn ever again just sad for the price I paid along with a $100 deposit it's ridiculous this place is terrible

Negative experience: Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and both days our tv didn’t work called both days to see if somebody come fix it the first night I understood cuz it was 11pm when we checked in but the next day they said they was gone have maintenance come and he never showed. During check in they charged us 120.00 talking about the 100 is refundable but the 20 isn’t because it was a processing fee through booking.com she said they charge her card for (which I asked for her to show me where this was stated she never did of course) idk what that had to do with us and it had to be cash sounded suspicious but I was tried so I just paid it and moved on. The atm there was weird first it said it was depositing my money then the next thing it’s saying a error message took about 5mins for it to put my money back on my card after she unplugged it and plugged it back in all and all room was decent nothing to special I wouldn’t stay here again though we should have been able to use everything and to not have something as simple as a tv is crazy

Negative experience: Thing are going on here that's against the law how they don't pay there workers it all. And there charging ppl extra for using a debit card this place is not good they look the door where u have a hard time getting in also there rooms are trash stuff missing and stuff doesn't work if you ask for a receipt they will bs you and keep pushing it off and just won't give you one but the part of working for them and he thinks he doesn't have to pay and lock the doors so you can't confront him that's OK you getting turn in in America we are at least payed min wage and I got nothing it all and have proof on it all I'm not letting you do this to me or to anyone else you need shut down and never to run one again

Negative experience: First room we checked into it was almost 11pm tv wouldn't work so the owner/ manager came to fix and got on the phone with direct TV and cussed them out over the phone in front of my kids. Then after 30 mins we changed rooms. Bathrooms are filthy

Positive experience: Not sure what to think of this place yet. You can't get in the building no matter what time of the day it is. Until you call a number and wait for one of the 3 people working there to open the doors. But the rooms are nicer than expected. Lots of homeless people hanging around outside. I'm guessing that's why the doors are locked.

Negative experience: They stole everything I had of value from the room, the person at the front desk said they entered the room without my permission to set up a fridge, and they missed a couple things including the Apple Watch, and they said no one just entered the room, we asked for the video of the camera and he said it doesn’t work, we called the police and made the report which they lied and gave 2 different versions, and an hour later everything was at the front desk just by magic. they say I left the door open but surprisingly everything appeared in the Laundry room, next to the front desk when I never did any laundry and I was staying on the second floor don’t go there for anything!!!

Negative experience: They stole my sister stuff from the room the person who’s in the front desk said they enter to the room without my sister permission to accommodate a fridge,and a couple stuff including my sister apple watch was lost and they said nobody just him enter to the room,we asking for the camera video and he said is not working,we call the police and doing the report and a hour later everything was in the front desk just magicccc don’t go over there for nothing!!! Hhahahahaaha what a joke we made a police report and the stuff appears with magic later we was at the hotel like an hour after the stuff was lost and then appears in your front desk with two different versions,and yes of course i was yelling such a robbers,and the gest she doesn’t know was she said,just check on all yours reviews,any reviews are goods,anyways she doesn’t live here in Kansas City i am and i never will stay there of course,and don’t recommend this “hotel” to anybody,plus when i get there to visit my sister there’s a door with wood no door there i told here where in the world are you staying,so thank you we pass for next time!!!

Negative experience: Absolutely worst treatment and experience of my life. Upon arrival at 11 pm I was told there was a $100 deposit and $10 hotel transfer fee since I paid online. I was not made aware of the deposit and I didn't have $100. I began to panic and crying. The lady yelled at me to stop crying and call someone for the money. It's late a night and I don't have anyone to call. She told me I could leave and when I got the money come back. I said miss I have no where to go. I will be sleeping on the street. She said not my problem!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Negative experience: This place is absolutely GROSS. My husband went in to check in and the lady at the front desk was SO RUDE. She wanted him to pay our $100 deposit in cash and he told her no, she proceeded to yell at him and tell him she had an ATM for him to use right there. He refused so she charged him a $19 fee on top of it. We went to our room and immediately knew we were not safe there. The TV was on really loud when we walked in and Magic Mike was playing. We tried turning on the A/C because it was so hot in there and it was barely pushing out any air.....We got our bags and walked right back out. There were fruit flies (or little black bugs of some sort) flying around. The sheets were stained. It smelled SO MUSTY in there. The bathroom was gross. There was mattresses and garbage all over in the hallways. My husband went back and asked for a refund and she refused. AND kept our deposit. We ended up getting a different room in a different hotel and spent $500 more to get the hell away from that place. DO NOT STAY HERE. ITS GROSS. THE STAFF WAS AWFUL.

Negative experience: Horrible I wouldn’t do it again, we went into a different room because the 1st room they gave us the key didn’t work, the 2nd room had no refrigerator, or microwave, and the water was cut off, and the guy name Rog his service was good, but the lady Pryia I can’t say the same, she told me that they had an Ice machine just after I told her we ain’t got no refrigerator, just to then go to the Ice Machine and see that the ice machine is broken! She told me to come back a few hours later, I come back 6 hours later and it’s still not working. Why not just tell the truth and say that you don’t know when it’s going to come back on & put a sign saying “Ice Machine currently down.” I would say look at the reviews before accepting this place

Negative experience: I’m sitting in my room waiting for a staff member to come fix my tv and ac now for 10 mins over the time they told me they’d be here. It’s set on 60 degrees and still very hot in the room. Tv doesn’t work at all. No refrigerator no trash can not even in the bathroom. Pee in the toilet when we entered, Wall outlets sticking out of the wall!!! Highly disappointed. Also the phone number listed is a personal cellphone and they may or may not answer. I did take pictures but I don’t know where to post them.

Negative experience: I'm giving 1 star for everything I haven't even went in the room simply for the fact that they got me to pull in here with their $49.99 room sign & charge me 100$ deposit that will take 5 days to be refunded back to my account & $90 for the night or $80 cash. OK I'm in the room now. It smells like cigarette smoke. I don't smoke....alls I'm saying I got lied to from the get with their sign n in five days my deposit better be back on my account. I'm tired from driving and trying to get some rest in this ghetto motel. I'd prolly rest better in the damn truck cause now I'm just plain mad while I'm typing out this review in this smelly room with no breakfast to look forward to in the morning. Don't let those room pictures fool you, it's not that big & the electrical tape in the tub?! Cmon now. Gahh. SMH. I guess I can only be mad at myself for paying anyway. That's how they get you at the middle of the night when you're tired and the most vulnerable. I feel taken advantage of. On the plus side, I have a bed to sleep in tonight. So thanks. In my eyes should have cost the $49 as advertised. N here we are $290 later mad as hell n trying to sleep.

Negative experience: Probably the most disgusting place we ever been to. Floors were dirty and our room smelled. When we got there at check in, they lady at the front needed a $100 deposit. No problem but then she required a $67 transfer fee for using Priceline which is cash only. Then she didn't have any damn change so she had to accepted the $60 I had since I only had $20s. When we tried to extend a day they changed their price from $50 a night to $120 a night because of Father's day. Not to mention the man working the following morning tried coming into our room unannounced saying we didn't pay. They put our money on the wrong freaking hotel room and tried getting us to pay another $120. When we went in we had no fridge and no microwave.. Second day we were there the power was out the entire day and they started yelling at us when we asked for a partial refund. Their are people drinking, smoking and shooting up on the side walks as well as talking about crimes they have committed. Mostly felonies. This place is trashy and we will never go back. Also, we are sure the cash grab is so they don't report it to taxes so we will be contacting the IRS to audit this hotel as well.

Negative experience: No refrigerator or microwave , hazardous, had to change rooms, I've seen by the hour motels and hotels better organized, walking into a room without knocking..I've spent most of my life in hotels and motels, b4 I could crawl.. rip off, sneaky, Nosy.. charging more than advertised.. rip off cash deposits is what Wyndham hotels have sold out 2.. .. save your $, go to a national forest.. Allways with protection..

Positive experience: Service was okay but nothing to brag about, the cleaning is fair but too many smells inside the apartments even after being cleaned,... And it's weird to be in a somewhat furnished room and you can't open the windows to air it out and for the life of me I don't get why they have a coffee machine but no coffee being brewed in the morning. And for the smokers there is no designated area shown you just have to walk around and hope to find it

Positive experience: Overall positive experience. The place is a little shoddy (needs some serious handyman love) but other than appearance things were generally fine. Reserved three nights but only stayed one because the place had been recently treated for bugs and the chemicals didn’t agree with my skin. However, this didn’t affect the person I was with. Service refunded the remaining two nights and deposit without any issue at all. Service was impeccable.

Negative experience: When I drove up to the hotel and I seen the window gone from the door and it had a big plywood up there I was very disappointed. But I had to stay cause there was no money back. I got to the room and was very disappointed. I was afraid and it was hard for me to go to sleep. The water in the sink file up and it took 5 minutes for the water to go down and the mini refrigerator was like something you got from a garage sale. The TV it only had a few channels and the carpet need to be cleaned and it was a bored under the sink in the bathroom holding it up. The agent that help me need to be fired. That place is awful.

Negative experience: By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Photos online are INCREDIBLY misleading. The photos make it lool like a nice, clean hotel when in reality it is dingy, dirty, smelly, and it is clear that the bare minimum has been done to make it a hotel. Walls are covered in mystery spots of mismatched paint. cobwebs in the corners. even a half dead wolf spider in our bathroom. The bed had giant marker stains on the headboard, and the while the door locked, it did not close completely and left a crack open. paper thin walls, i could hear the tv in the next room. they also have a bunch of rules and regulations that are not posted online, or through priceline where i booked the room. they also charged me a $10 transfer fee when my previous hotel cancelled my reservation due to overbooking. sleazy hotel. will never stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Positive experience: I stayed here last Monday night while heading back to Idaho from Missouri to catch the solar eclipse. The price wasn't real bad but not cheap either. The hallway leading to my room had an odd smell to it. The room seemed a little run down. While this is an easy motel to get to from I-70 it is a little ways from the downtown Kansas City action

Positive experience: I paid $100 dollars and they said I will get it after a few days. Now I am calling back to fight for my 100 dollars.

Negative experience: Dirty room, In desperate need of repairs, Smells. Shady owner. Quoted price was much lower than actual price. Save yourself some money and hassle and go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Crooks! Charged me 10$ fee to keep my 100$ deposit they sprang on me while checking in. Reason was I checked out late. Rooms were not clean and the first one they gave me wasn't even made up after the last guests stay. Never book this place they will find any way they can to rob you of every penny they can steal. I would like my deposit back. I did leave late but never got a knock phone call or anything letting me know it was checkout time. Show the world you aren't crooks and refund my deposit. I would even edit my post in kind.

Fantastic experience: Good place! My husband and I stayed here. We were very well treated and anything we needed was provided.

Negative experience: Over all terrible experience lady at front desked did help me by waving a 100 deposit so I wouldn't lose my money but other then that terrible room was disgusting worst then a motel 6. There was piss on the toilet from last guest bathtub was dirty. Online looked like it was a decent hotel tried to save 30 bucks definitely not worth the Hassel or conditions. I asked room service to clean my room or put me in a new one and they said they would clean it at 10 am. Got back to my hotel that night around 11pm and it was completely untouched.

Negative experience: I paid for a room here on Priceline, got checked in and saw a roach in my room within 5 minutes. Went back to the front desk for a refund and they told me to go thru Priceline. Called Priceline and tried to get my refund and the hotel denied it even tho they said they would approve it to give me my money back. They did not so not only are they filthy there but also scam u out of ur money. 0 stars. If your gonna scam ppls money at least clean your nasty hotel. Even took a picture and they wouldn't refund my money within 5 minutes of being there. Almost 100$ down the drain and still didn't get a hotel room cuz they refused to give me my money thru them or Priceline.

Negative experience: Never made out to the room. When we had to call a number to get in the front door, we should have left. That was sign number one. Then the note on the counter said $100 deposit. She said it would take 5-6 days to get that back after we checked out. No thank you. We left right then.

Negative experience: This is the worst room you could ever book the owner kept telling me I needed to pay more for taxes when I used a booking app that included taxes .. then while I was at the desk demanding a refund others came to join demanding a refund heat wasnt working and the hot water did not get hot . And it says no refunds for that reason so when u notice what's wrong they can say it says no refunds .. please don't waste time staying here.it deserves no stars but couldn't post without it

Negative experience: This place is definitely not for children, I saw stains everywhere, the bathroom was dirty, my chair was dirty and stained, the TV was on because the control didn't work, in the refrigerator there was a plate with spoiled food, when I arrived there were police officers and just people smoking and talking with obscene language, I really don't recommend it and I give it a zero out of 10, the place is very dirty and ugly, it's disgusting to bathe, I slept and being there

Negative experience: This place is awful. It smells in the hallways. There’s no one at the front desk. Rooms need a significant update. Bathroom needs a deep clean and possibly a renovation. Bed was terrible. Pillows sucked. I was traveling alone with my 9yo daughter for a concert and the the owner knocked on my door at 1am accusing me of having a man with me when I said it was only her and I. Scared me to death! He stated they saw a man come in after her and I arrived back from the concert. After me telling him multiple times there was someone outside with their dogs when we arrived back, but they weren’t with us and I had no idea if they came inside or not, he tried to come in my room to verify. I had to promptly tell him no and close the door. Stay far away!!!!

Fantastic experience: It was a lovely stay. They have lots of shows to choose from. It is clean and comfortable. Excellent location; walking distance to five guys, Panda Express, big lots, and a grocery store. I couldn’t have chosen a better hotel. I’m so grateful I chose the right one. They have breakfast every morning and the front desk was so kind and helpful. She went above and beyond and even helped me with my iPhone troubles. Will stay again when I am in town next. Positive experience: Very affordable rooms for watching a game at Arrowhead. Friendly staff, but be aware that you'll have to call to get someone at the front desk for check-in. Check-out is easy: Just leave your room keys at the front desk. The rooms are clean, and though it smells like the hotel was once a smoke-friendly establishment, we have no complaints.

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service. I felt welcomed. Room was clean and comfortable. It looks as if it was recently remodeled. Staff was quick to help when I locked myself out of the room. They were very kind and assured me, this happens. Helping me feel better about my mistake. Easy on and off major hwy.

Negative experience: The sheets were stained. The bathroom floor was dirty and there was hair on the bath towels. There was no: microwave, fridge, iron/ironing board, or hair dryer. The wiring for the a/c was a fire Hazzard. The wiring was frayed and exposed wires were capped off. I was afraid to sleep under the blankets. I will NEVER stay there again.

Positive experience: I'll start off with the good. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were nice. The TV was big. Shower had hot water. Air conditioning kept me cool and was a quiet unit. The bad: I did see a couple cockroaches. I would have liked to have taken a swim in the pool but it was shut down. No coffee in the lobby. Price seemed pretty high for the room definitely run down and not cleaned very thoroughly.

Negative experience: The pool as described is covered up, the gate to it is chained up, the door from hotel to pool area is locked and chained,. There is no mini fridge in the rooms, the bathroom looks cheap and nasty, there was no toilet paper stocked, the soap they provide stinks and the TV remote is broken and taped with black duct tape. Only 3 pillows on king size bed. The pillows are soft and bed is comfortable though, other than the bed itself there is nothing positive to say about this place. Very disappointed in my reservation and wish I had booked anywhere else. Very sleazy vibe, hood like motel. Update, when we got up the following morning of writing this review I went to take a shower and the hot water barely trickled out. I contacted the front desk who sent maintenance. Maintenance said he tried fixing before but was told to leave it and work on the rooms they were renovating. I do maintenance for a living. It needs a new valve installed. The.part is about $15 and takes about 30 minutes to replace in the mean time they are still putting guests in room 104.

I actually was dreading and fully regretting booking this reservation which I do almost every time I come to Kansas City anymore, specifically due to the lack of respect and any type of service I’ve endured the last year. I assume due to the homeless epidemic KC is and has been suffering from, HOWEVER, to my surprise and delight the staff here welcomed me almost to the point of tears!! Fantastic experience: Excellent clean rooms, nearby all the locations for food and drinks , awesome hospitality, quick check in, and lobby decorated. People are nice here, quality people family friendly people.

Fantastic experience: Walked into the hotel, wasn’t expecting to be greeted with such hospitality from the desk clerk. Also from the entrance to the hallways even the rooms were amazingly clean.. Google has it as a 2 star hotel I think it’s a 4 start I my opinion. Highly recommended this hotel. Very convenient by food and gas stations. Anytime I come back to Kansas City I will be staying here.. Thanks ownership and staff… !!!!! Great job !!!!!

Negative experience: If I could put zero stars I would. First off, the room we had booked supposedly had a problem with the TV. Booked a king room. He put us in a double room and expected us to pay the difference. Absolutely not. So they let us in anyways for the king price. Next thing, zero towels, wash cloths or hand towels in the room. Advertised having microwave and refrigerator but has neither. So here we are, stuck in a room for 3 nights with no way to heat up food or keep food cold. Vending machines are all broken or not working. Parking lot was trash. The only plus is the room size. I'll never stay here ever. My husband and I come into town every weekend and stay but I will not stay here again. I'll sleep in my car first!

Fantastic experience: We were greeted promptly with a smile by a member of management/owner.I was so surprised how nice everything was. When we walked into the room it smelled FANTASTIC first off! The room was so big and was decorated very nicely. Everything was clean and the beds were so comfortable. I am really glad we found this place! This is our new favorite place to stay now! Thank you so much for making the check in process so simple and putting a smile on my son's face.

Negative experience: I am not one to leave bad reviews but if I could leave zero stars I would. I booked a room through the Countryside KC website (not a secondary party) on April 26th - 3 months in advance - for our trip to see Taylor Swift at Arrowhead. I received my confirmation number and assumed all was smooth. On the day of check in, I drive in from 4 1/2 hours away to find a red-tagged hotel "Unfit for Human Occupancy" with a managerial staff that walks out acting confused, stating they have been shut down for 2 months and that there were for sure rooms right up the street.. haha good one. We were left stranded with no hotel on the busiest weekend KC has seen since a Chiefs playoff game, left spending hundreds and hundreds of more dollars to somehow find a hole in the wall to house us for two nights. Why were no emails sent out or contact attempts made to notify guests of hotel unavailability?! Was this a system glitch or just complete disregard for patrons who booked at your "suite." I am so put off by Countryside Suites regarding the expenisive inconvenience and frustration that was put on me by this establishment. It could have been the perfect weekend, instead of a stress-ridden weekend of panic.

Negative experience: Only posting 1star so I can leave a review. I booked this room because there were no other options.. now I see why! You totally get catfished with their online pictures. No refrigerator, no microwave, no towels, smoke detector hanging off the ceiling, no smoking but the entire place smells like cigarette smoke, cigarette burn marks on the sink, shower didn’t work, water smelt like sewage. Definitely not worth the 100$ I spent for one night. Whoever comments on the reviews…Please don’t comment with an apology and saying you’re going to do better because you clearly are lying.

Negative experience: I don't even know where to begin with this rathole. We booked online, the pictures looked nice. All the other hotels were full. Well, I had a bad feeling as soon as we got there. Walking in was dirty, things were broken, etc. I opened the door to my room to a smell. I started looking around at the paint stains everywhere, holes in the walls, outlets with no covers, dirty bathtub, broken toilet lid, BUT the Final Straw was when I lifted the corner of the blanket and the entire corner on the box springs was covered in MOLD, I mean growing green MOLD! There is absolutely NO WAY a person could put a sheet on the mattress and not notice it! I don't think I've ever been more grossed out. I went to the front desk to tell them and get a different room. (we didn't have a lot of time before the concert we were going to, or would have switched hotels) I showed the lady at the front desk my mold picture, she didn't even act surprised! No apologies or anything, acted like it was putting her out to move me to a different room. The second room was just a bad, minus the moldy box spring. No comforter and no fridge. I didn't touch anything I didn't have to, and slept on a small part of the bed. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING NEAR THIS PLACE! The pics on the website are NOT accurate at all!!!! And, I have pics if I need to show proof!

Negative experience: Hotel needs to be updated. Looking for a place to crash for a night, ok! Blanket on bed was thinner than the sheet!

Negative experience: I would give it 0 stars if possible. RUN from this place. Absolutely filthy! Floors looked matted. Shower head fell apart while showering. First towel I grabbed had big brown stain, second looked refolded from last occupant and put back as clean, was also stained. People hanging around parking lot all hours of night. Sketchy place and sketchy people. Moved to a much nicer hotel and for less money!

Negative experience: The wrong was dirty in nasty the bed linen was not clean in the floor was dirty as well and it stinks real bad I had to buy incense to block out the smell I would never go there again to stay the pills was really flat I did not get a good night sleep I would never go there again or recommend anyone go there to sleep.

Positive experience: The ladies at the front desk was marvelous.the only problem i had was a lot on the online website was not true.like no continental breakfast,no refrigerator, no pool etc. That was the reason of my visit to takeout girls swimming.but with a little straightened,it will be a Great hotel.like I said,the employees are Great.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible, we were sent here from another hotel because the other one gave our room to someone and this one was disgusting, the room was absolutely horrible and the person at the front desk had the audacity to say that someone worked on it the same morning

Negative experience: Rooms riddled with water damage and mildew. Staff unfriendly and dismissive. Just walking barefoot felt gross, the carpets are very old, damaged and geasy. About the only positive is the air conditioning actually working. Just go somewhere else.
