Negative experience: Not good. Placed a currency exchange with 7 days before the trip. Went every day and was told the same story of “it’s not here yet.” Mother went to check while I was overseas and the money was there…the entire time. Staff is rude, inconsiderate, and do not communicate with each other. Go to your bank for currency exchange, not here.

Negative experience: I had a nice lady who was explaining and trying to sell me service and same time help me with my problem and i feel bad that her co-worker ruined everything and still I don't understand why she should get involved someone is helping me mind your business and help someone else who is in line rather helping me that I already have someone helping me.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and all the staff are super helpful
Negative experience: The people working behind the desk did what they could to help, and the person at the photo counter was very nice. However, even with a scheduled appt time, the wait time was over 45 minutes in line.
Fantastic experience: This place is great and convenient. Very friendly staff, they will help you with anything you might need, the best investment I did was buy my AAA MEMBERSHIP!

Negative experience: Requires appointment to register a car. Earliest appointments are two-weeks out. Per MA law you need to register a car in 10 days. Why am I paying for a service that logistically doesn't work when the RMV gets it done sooner?

Fantastic experience: I am so glad I have AAA they make things so convenient and easy, I just renewed my registration, also got my real ID drivers license renewed, and my son got his learners permit issued from them, they are making things easier to deal with better than the registry

Negative experience: I walked in to renew my driver license. I was told it could even be a couple hours and that their schedule did not look bad that day. Cleared my whole day just to get it done and over with. Decided to be patient and wait it out without complaining. Went to ask once about my chances when. It was quiet and got a blunt answer. 5 hours (!) later left without my license renewed. Watched the lines empty several times . Left feeling that the staff had absolutely no intention to help me.

Positive experience: Despite the difficulty of making an appointment, I didn't have to wait super long once I arrived. Everything went smoothly.

Fantastic experience: They couldn't assist me with my Real ID issue today, but Sarah was pleasant and willing to try. Unlike the RMV that won't let you in the door. I am extremely frustrated trying to secure a Real ID. I was able to renew my driver's license at the Congress St branch in Boston last Thursday. So I can drive to any state but soon I won't be able to fly. I am amazed that the same documentation was not good enough for my Real ID, but more than sufficient for an driver's license and previously a passport. Simply astounding.
Positive experience: I stopped by to re-new my license, but you need to make an appointment online first. Not very convenient. And the RMV, needs to open everything up now, they are providing a service also, Covid is pretty much over, require everyone to wear masks, so that you can get your required paperwork and licenses taken care of, with having to wait two to fours weeks out, to get an appointment.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, easy parking right in front of the door. The only thing that could be improved a little is to make it somewhat clearer what you're supposed to do when you get in (several people seemed confused) and move the waiting area (for those who checked in) a little away from the waiting line (for those who still have to check in) to avoid confusion about who's in line to check in.

Negative experience: Westwood AAA has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my life. Lauren was incredibly rude and she lied to us. She said she didn’t take anyone without an appointment. She lied because 5 people were checked in above my sons name and 2 customers were seen while we were there. Lauren made us wait for 3 hours with no explanation. She never checked in with us, tell us how long and she wouldn’t answer any of my questions, nothing! At one point, after 2.5 hrs, we were they only people in the lobby. Lauren went to the bathroom, waiting for someone to show up. She never called on us. Our paperwork was perfect compared to all the other customers. This was unacceptable! Lauren also took 20 minutes for each customer. It was painful. The amazing women who retired before Lauren only took 10 min and she was kind, knowledgeable and would never make you wait! My son had the worst 16th birthday waiting patiently to get his permit. Lauren never apologized. She should be fired. The next day I got an appointment in Quincy. Quincy AAA is top notch. When we walked in, we were welcomed by 4 friendly, nice, knowledgeable and accommodating staff. We were taking right away. She got the paperwork done quickly and my son got his permit in 10 minutes. Lauren from Westwood took 20 minutes each customer and we waiting 3 hours. Westwood had 1 teller and 1 useless teller. He had no clue what he was doing. He was an idiot. He couldn’t work by himself. He had zero knowledge of AAA. Quincy had many people without appointments. The wonderful tellers said of course we always take stand bys. There is no comparison with Westwood and Quincy. Lauren from Westwood AAA is the rudest person I know.

Fantastic experience: I've been here to get a Real ID and my wife has been to get her passport pictures. So quick and easy and the staff is incredible. If you can avoid the RMV, I highly recommend this branch.

Negative experience: I was not pleased with my visit to AAA Westwood. They were unable to help me obtain an EZ-Pass and the half-hour I spent there was a waste. I recommend visiting the Newton location instead.

Negative experience: Went in to notarize a form at 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday (a 2 minute exercise), was informed of a line, no problem. Offered to wait, was discouraged from doing so ("AT LEAST 30 minutes till so and so gets back which we have no idea when it will be"), offered to make an appointment, told that is "not an option". So I left and went to UPS store with a 1 star review (of all places) and had it done within minutes. Will be cancelling this service due to the way I was communicated to, which was basically "its busy, leave, we dont want you here". I would have waited 45 minutes or whatever. Ill take my chances on needing a tow. Edit: they replied telling me to "reach out", which I did, and haven't had a response for months. So, that's just for optics apparently.

Negative experience: Some of the agents there are extremely rude and bossing around customers. I cannot believe what I experienced. I felt some of them behave like my superior army officer. The agent called Rudis ordered me of something without even bothering to look into what I asked. Was I treated like that because I am an Asian? Really? I cannot believe they think it is ok to be so rude to any of their customers.

Negative experience: Driving school is awful. No one knows anything, they give conflicting information and then cancel. Messages are often not returned and then no one knows anything and will transfer you to the person who doesn't call back. Great system.

Fantastic experience: I have been posting #ShutDowntheRMV tag for a while. I believe when that happens, this organization can easily take over the business at 10% of the cost. The RMV is especially terrible in Braintree. Good place to get an Int'l driver's license in order to avoid issues in other countries. These guys would have helped me with the motorcycle learners permit but the RMV is not giving them access/view for over a week forward. Always drive safe.

I was a wreck, and they calmed me right down. They gave me a printout of my new registration and said I would receive the hard copy in the mail. What a relief! Many thanks to them for their help!

Fantastic experience: We tried to rent a car with the HELP of Doreen Costa at the Westwood Massachusetts branch. (12-17-2024) This is our first time in 34 loyal years with AAA and never met such an unpleasant agent. This lady was more than rude, banged on her desk claiming that she already explained us for three times information that we just wanted to clarify. I recommend warmly to have somebody better, more polite and understanding your AAA customers.
