Negative experience: They promised it was worth it to invest they said that they get cheaper flights and hotels but everyone i try and use it i get better deals when I call and talk to the hotel concierge and then great resorts tels me that can't even match that price these people are a joke and you can't ever cancel not to mention they hit you with annual fees at every turn literally the worst company ever

Negative experience: Can you please stop sending me scam calls? I don’t want your overpriced travel packages nor do I wish to sit through your 2 hour long “presentation” before claiming a useless travel voucher (not even through your OWN company) — that should say a lot just by itself. I’ve already been tricked before by you guys because I filled out a raffle at the state fair, yet I continue to receive calls. I feel bad for people that end up wasting their time going to your location just to deal with high pressure sales tactics. I don’t even know if these 5 star reviews are real people. If they are, you must be paying people to do so.
Our product is not for everyone, and that is okay. You may call our admin number to be taken off our lists, or be placed on our internal DNC list. 866-223-4929. If you entered a drawing, either through a rep in the community or through an entry kiosk & provided your contact info, and agreed to the terms and conditions, then you are entered to win an actual prize. You did not win the grand prize, but instead were qualified to receive a promo trip, which you will be able to claim if you attend a product presentation. These promo trips are incentives for presentation attendance and meant for prospective members interested in our company. You are welcome to claim the promo trip even if you are not interested in club membership, you just need to hear out the presentation. You remained in our database as someone who has a gift status. As for our promo trips, we purchase those through Casablanca Express, a travel agency of over 40 years. It is not a useless voucher. This is the way we have chosen to provide a vacation experience to those without access to our own inventory. You do not need to be a GRV member or purchase anything to use the promo. A refundable deposit fee to occupy their booking calendar is usually required. If taxes are required for the chosen promo (usually a choice of 3 options) the deposit will go toward those taxes. Otherwise, additional costs would be due to upgrades, such as additional people added to your party, extra tickets for places like Disneyland, an upgraded hotel room, a longer stay, etc. The promo trip will also have date availability limits depending on the season you’d like to travel. Negative experience: I put in for a contest for an ebike, but yet I won airfare and hotel. Ok, figured I would check it out. Not what I was told (phone, text, and email), told I won round trip tickets of choice no restrictions and two nights hotel in marriot or best western over the phone. Not the case. Its a voucher to some other company to book travel. To many restrictions, story changed, and I was lied to over the phone to get me in. I was told I would leave with tickets in hand, not the case. Felt very greesy, we left after 10 minutes. We left and saved our Friday afternoon.

Negative experience: Received a mailer from this company offering a 7-day cruise. They must be incentivizing all the positive reviews here, because if you look on Reddit everyone is united and how bad this experience is. Not only do they make you jump through a million hoops to get the free offer, (which has a lot of fees attached) look at the other reviews here to see the scammy tactics they use to stop you from being able to cancel their terrible service.

Negative experience: To much pressure to buy their vacation contract. Time will tell if it ends up being worth it or not. They said we would return to the place and do a 'training' but it ended up being a zoom meeting and the presenter did not turn on their camera and training was very short. We were supposed to also get a free trip voucher at the training but the person said they would mail it ..... that was two weeks ago and we are still waiting.
Negative experience: My daughter filled out a survey at the Boise Hawks game with the correct information, then her number was drawn and after hearing a long presentation over the phone, we were told we don’t qualify for a prize which information was provided before hand?. What a way to try to make people waste their time…! Please, be more professional in your selection. Thanks.
Hi Isrrael, hope to clear this up for you. We do have no-conditions drawings, but we primarily offer promotional gifts for potential club members and have strict marketing requirements. Your daughter did not win a no-conditions drawing, but based on the information she entered in the survey, was qualified to receive a promo gift as a thanks for letting us pitch a presentation. We have an age and income requirement, which is disclosed in all our drawings, raffles & marketing opportunities prior to entry. Your daughter may be financially ready or at a point in her life where she has the desire to invest in our product, but we won’t risk bringing in individuals who are not ready, or might be emotionally swayed to enter an investment they can’t afford or have no need for, as many younger individuals have different vacation habits & preferences. Your daughter's age and income was updated to reflect that she did not fall within our marketing requirements. Sorry for the inconvenience. Negative experience: Excited to travel :-) this place offered me great deals took my money then turned around and it didnt give me any great deals. I was looking at getting a flight to Alaska. It cost the same amount that it would have costed me to book me own flight then booking my own flight then using their website booking myself would have also saved me 6 extra hours. On top of this I won a trip that cost me money (so the "free trip" isn't free) at a hockey game. Went back won another trip at the game and they said "I couldn't receive my second trip because" I had already won once, it seems like they are just giving away so called "free trips", so They are just giving out trips to get you to sign up for their rip off prices. Now I'm in a contract to pay this money for trips ontop of the already same prices I would have paid with this extra expense but it's up to you what you want to do im just saying this place is a joke.

Negative experience: We went to the presentation and we're impressed enough to sign up HOWEVER we were lied to and I am very disappointed we were scammed out of our money we could have used to save up for fun vacations. You have 3 days to cancel for a refund BUT we didn't get our access until a week later. When I looked at it, I did price comparisons on my own and I wasn't going to save money by using them, maybe $100, and the "great" week deals, be warned there are no pictures available so you have no idea the condition of the place you would get. Very disappointed and sad we as a young family just trying to make memories with our kids were duped. Please, please, do not sign up with them. It's too late for us to get our money back but save yours and do NOT sign with them.
Negative experience: This place isn't a scam, but it certainly isn't worth much. Once we got access to the site and actually price checked against what we could find online the savings were pretty minimal. If you go just to get the "free" cruise/flight/whatever they are promising you, be aware that you are going to have to pay taxes and fees, which are going to come out to several hundred dollars at least.

Negative experience: Run. Save your money and do no business with this company. After a high pressure sales pitch in exchange for “gifts” we could never redeem, our account sold from in-house to out of house financing in mere days despite promises to the contrary, and wildly misleading promises of availability, I could not be more unimpressed with the operational side of this company. On the promised service side of things, equally as lacking. Limited call hours, unclear policies, convoluted process, and in the time I’ve had my account I’ve found a better deal elsewhere and had to fight for price match every time.

Negative experience: I have received 4 unsolicited phone calls from this company in the past 3 months claiming that I had won a prize from a random drawing. Having no knowledge of this, the marketer assured me that I must have forgotten that I entered the drawing and tried to continue with the call. I then specify that they are calling on a business number, which I never use for anything but business and would certainly not use on a contest entry. They continue to argue and then finally hang up on me. Having a history with this company, I am not surprised that they ignore the DNC list, of which I am a part of, in an attempt to peddle their expensive basically-a-timeshare resort plans. I'm of the opinion that if they are deceitful from the beginning, then I'd be a fool to enter into any contract with them.

Negative experience: I attended a meeting multiple times, promised multiple things, not one was true. Called the company multiple times and they said to take them to court to get my money back. They didn’t care what they promised because I signed a contract saying I would pay them. I wish I would have called my credit card company right away and canceled it. BE SERIOUSLY CAREFUL!!! Very dishonest and unprofessional. They take advantage of people and don’t care. They will not even look into the situation. Not a good company and wouldn’t give them anything if I could do it again. I should have known better but they took advantage of my situation with my family.

However, even if you had doubts after signing by feeling pressured after multiple meetings, there would be no need to contact your credit card company, as you still would have had 3 days to cancel, no questions asked. Negative experience: If you’re seeing this, I hope it’s not too late for you. We dropped 15k, that we didn’t really have to be able to stay in condos at a discount that is not that discounted. Still paying all other expenses for flights to travel. I’m thinking we paid for a membership to stay in Timeshares or something. In the briefing we were shown huge discounts on overnight stays. Those slides must’ve been during covid because the grv website does not have the same prices. My family of four is still going to drop 8,000 if we want to travel somewhere. I feel sick that we did this and there is no way out. Instead of paying these people 15k we could’ve used that for a vacation. Now I’m stuck living paycheck to paycheck paying off a membership I doubt I’ll ever be able to afford to actually use. I hate to say it, but if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I was just hopeful that we stumbled upon something wonderful. People in general are only looking out for their own best interests. Also, they have you leave a review before you have had the chance to utilize this service, so many reviews are 5 star based on their customer service not actual experiences with traveling and use of their services.
It sounds like you might be a new member & might need help understanding your membership type, or even how our product works. You can’t own timeshare with our company. We are not a timeshare company. We provide wholesale vacations for thousands of members, and we are extremely proud to offer endless access to a wide range of vacation experiences, from quaint to luxurious. All deals are not equal. Some are comparable to other travel agencies, which is why we offer a 110% price match guarantee. We will match the price and take off an additional 10%, as long as the bookings you are seeing are exactly the same. However, the best savings are found in condo stays, for example, looking in real time, as of today, Timber Condominiums has condos (full kitchen) for 4 at Island Park with 10 week-long vacancies from now through April starting at $565 for off-season and $945 for peak. That’s for 7 nights, taxes included, and represents our base (cheapest) membership, which a total investment would be far less than the $8,000 price you listed as just one of your trips. You might have purchased a Prime or ELITE membership, in which case you will have access to even deeper savings, wider availability, as well as exclusive access to timeshare companies not available to the public (unless you already own a timeshare at a company like Marriott or Disney Club), through our points borrowing program. You don’t own it, so you are not obliged to pay timeshare fees like maintenance. Each membership is also not equal. One family's budget and travel habits may never need a higher priced membership if they only vacation a couple times a year. We understand not everyone will be a good fit. Our member Experience Manager can assist you if you are having difficulty understanding your membership, schedule you for better ownership training, or even discuss your options moving forward. We strongly recommend using the concierge service to help you. Not sure what location and timeframe you were looking at and for how many people to get to $8,000, unless it was for an all-inclusive dream vacation experience or during a peak season at a very popular area. Btw, you’re not locked in for life, but have the option to renew your membership every year. Your contract price is locked in as long as you continue your membership (“lifetime”) & will never rise, even with market changes, so if you had joined during the pandemic, your contract rate and any point borrowing wouldn’t experience any sort of inflation affecting value. You ARE locked in to your initial member fee until it is paid, as with any product, unless you opted to cancel within the three-day right to rescission stated in the membership contract. Negative experience: Avoid this company like the plague. You can use points to “save” on travel is what they tell you. Points cost money-fine, points cost money to transfer to another company-ugh. The cost of the points and the cost to move them will cost you more than any savings you receive when you book a hotel or anything else. Their contract allows three days to cancel. What they don’t tell you is it takes three days to enter your profile into their website. Only reason why they have a high rating on here is because they use high pressure for potential members to post reviews before they even had a chance to use their product. Very shady company..

Negative experience: I entered a raffle and supposedly won a roundtrip flight and three day vacation to either San Diego or Las Vegas. They contacted me and started getting me through the process of picking up my voucher. Walking me through the rules, my partner had to be with me, where to go etc. I got my appointment scheduled and everything finalized before the individual finally asked if either myself or my spouse were 27 years of age. Off by two years, I was informed that we were now ineligible to receive the voucher and that he could “call us back in two years”. Waste of my evening when I had to enter my birthday into the raffle in the first place. Who picks an arbitrary number like 27 anyway? Sounds like a scam to me. Never use this company. Too many things are off with them.

Yes, we have an age and income requirement, which is disclosed in all our drawings, raffles & marketing opportunities prior to entry. It is not an arbitrary age, but one that is designated based on years of experience. You may be financially ready or at a point in your life where you have the desire to invest in our product, but we won’t risk bringing in individuals who are not ready, or might be emotionally swayed to enter an investment they can’t afford or have no need for, as many younger individuals have different vacation habits & preferences. Positive experience: Did you just win a trip? Congratulations. If you are reading this before the presentation than you are off to a great start. Having seen the presentation and even spent some additional time really trying to give them the best opportunity to represent their services this is my understanding of what those are. Great Resort Vacations as I understand it is a travel company that partners globally with a number of travel related businesses, resources, and timeshare slots that they can then utilize to aid their members in any travel related interest that a member might have. These partnerships open doors to locations and affordability that wouldn't exist when trying to book comparable trips on your own. As with most kinds of membership programs, what specifically your plan contains will vary based on the plan you choose, with benefits increasing with plan levels. Back to that presentation, be prepared to make a decision on joining before leaving the presentation as many of the most affordable and expansive options exist for those that are willing to do so. For those that opt not to join before leaving the presentation, no worries, enjoy that trip and should you decide after having taken your trip to become a member, they would love to hear from you. That being said please understand the unavoidable realities that come with such services; availability of any given hotel, condo, timeshare, and discounts will vary from trip to trip and even with the number of connections they have, flexibility on when you take your trip will lead to them being able to find you the most impressive options.

Our members who are more open to vacation openings travel more often and are more satisfied, but those who plan well in advance have every opportunity for great experiences too. We try to match our contracts with the budget and travel habits of each individual/family. There is more to it, which is why our presentations are information-packed, and not everyone will be a good fit for our product, as we uphold age and budget requirements before an investment. Negative experience: This is totally (((((((SCAM)))))))))!!!!! I don’t know how they still open! First of all, they will call you and tell you that you have won a flight trip to California and It is free and they give you an appointment Then when you go to the appointment they will ask you to pay $100 for the (free) flight! Then will ask you to fill in your personal information Then you will realize that it is a different story. They will try to do their best to make you sign on paper and if you say no they will almost fight with you They also have some associates who sit with you acting like they are a costume like you at the orientation just to let you feel more confident and comfortable and not just you there at the orientation I felt scared and didn’t believe that could happen in Idaho sitting in their office was a scary experience. I was freaking out and you saying (NO) it is not an option! We told one man, No, and he brought another one and tried to keep pushing us to make us saying yes I felt trapped. A hour and half of going back and forth on saying no. I knew when sitting there I could not afford this in anyway. Since we left the office we have tried to speak with corporate to tell them of our experience and we have yet to speak with anyone. We are just told they will call you,, I am working with the court to close this business ASAP

Negative experience: Almost got my honeymoon completely ruined with the hotel booked for the wrong year. We arrived at our honeymoon location and almost had no place to stay in a foreign unfamiliar place. And support reached out to resolve the matter took longer than desirable. Had to book hotel on our own outside of business hours for the emergency. That said, the membership entry fees and the membership annuals are quite expensive. So I expected better service and perks. Totally not worth the price. You can get better vacation packages elsewhere like Costco Travels or hunt for special deals with Airlines directly. And by the way don’t expect any airfare deals from the membership either.
