Negative experience: Stopped here instead of my local Murrieta location for trailer registration. They are not as knowledgeable as other offices. Waste of time
Negative experience: Their insurance side is a joke. They are far from the cheapest but for a start their service sucks, second, they gave me a quote then rescinded, the explanation? We have a shed and a jaccuzzi less than 10 ft from an egineered retaining wal built by the developper 20 years ago. Their logic, if the jaccuzzi leaked they both could end up in my neighbor's back yard. Seriously, after all the rain we've had the past few Winters and the 20 years the retaining wall was built??? What a joke
Fantastic experience: I'm so glad I got Triple A for my vehicles and renter's insurance. It's always nice being able to walk in here and get the proper help I need for whatever it might be. I highly recommend this Triple A. 10 stars for sure.
Negative experience: I signed up in May, asking for auto insurance that was $180/mo out the door. They assured me that the plan I had was based on their quote stating that. And then charged me $206. I talk to them every month since about how what I'm being charged is higher than what was agreed upon. Every month they have a solution to lower the price that does nothing. In fact, it's gone up. Last month when I went in person to dispute being charged $228 for July, the representative assured me that the price would go down if I signed up for auto pay. I get the bill for this month and it's $226. I have no idea why my problem is being unaddressed. If they couldn't put me on a plan of that price then they shouldn't have quoted me that price.
Fantastic experience: You can have “fun” at AAA. If you get a man named Aaron to help you, your AAA experience will be a breeze. He assisted with DMV documents and make the whole process enjoyable. His personality was delightful and you leave AAA as if you were chatting with a friend. Bravo Aaron! Customer service is still alive!
Negative experience: 1030 am trying to make a policy change. After waiting on hold it transfers, rings several times and hangs up. Great service!
Fantastic experience: This staff does an amazing job. Anabel is very nice and knowledgeable. When I've had to deal with Mary, she's terrific. They're always working hard and I'm always happy with the service this staff provides.
Fantastic experience: Joshua Board, give this man a promotion! He gets the job done and will set you up for success for your behind-the-wheel test. He knows the in’s and out’s. He’s an exceptional instructor. I don’t need “Jesus, take the wheel” when you have Josh!
Fantastic experience: Anabel went above and beyond to help me with my car registrations! The DMV's system for out-of-state registrations was being temperamental for many days, but she called me back in as soon as it came back online and took care of it (even though it was at the very end of her day). She was extremely friendly and helpful through the entire process, as was everyone else I interacted with at this branch. The atmosphere here is much more relaxed and pleasant than the DMV. I will be back!!
Negative experience: I had to call 3 times today to get someone in Escondido to tell me if they are open or not because of Wasington's Birthday. Horrible on-hold queue...
Negative experience: I would put 0 stars if I could. Their policy is not in favor of their clients but theirselves. Spent a week working with the wrong representative to only be told I have to continue to wait another week or go through my insurance company when I’m not at fault! I have no side view mirror and my safety is at risk everyday. Ridiculous! Get it together!
Fantastic experience: Recently, I went to get my AAA insurance and Wendy Rodriguez explained to me everything in details. So helpful and knowledgeable. My car now has a premium insurance, and I even got a fire insurance! Wendy was so helpful and made me feel confident having AAA insurance and an agent available without hassles when is needed. Positive experience: The staff overall here are great! This review is pertaining to (1) particular insurance agent, Miguel Montoya. I went in to add my 2020 Chevy Bolt to an existing auto insurance policy. Miguel was assigned to assist me. He asked all of their standard questions and based on the information I provided, I was given a quote I could live with. He then proceeded to ask why my homeowner's insurance wasn't with them. I explained that in the past, AAA couldn't beat what Allstate/Pacific Specialty quoted me. He put together a quote that not only was lower, but also lessened my auto quote as well! Perfect right? Not really. He submitted my information to the underwriter and instructed me to hold off on canceling with my current carrier until it was approved. There was a claim that I had made 4 years prior dealing with a neighbor who caused my den to flood but wouldn't pay so I had to claim it on my own insurance policy so he wanted to make sure it wouldn't change my quote. I even gave him the Allstate agent's information to corroborate my claim scenario. Two weeks passed and I called and asked a couple of times if that quote was going to stay as is. Miguel stated it would and so I proceeded to sign on with them and cancel my previous carrier. Not more than a few days after, I received a letter from the underwriter stating they were not only raising my premium, but also forcing me to go to a higher coverage amount, thus being higher than my previous carrier's rate! My complaint with this agent is that even after I repeatedly asked about the quote he gave me and getting his assurance it would be what he quoted, I feel I got misled into switching my homeowner's policy. I asked what could be done and he replied they could cancel it, but I'd also lose the bundle rate applied to my auto insurance. I'm beyond disappointed and completely feel like he didn't have my best interest. After all, they work on commission and my policies probably made him a decent amount. If you are seeking any insurance from them, ask for another agent and ask questions over and over until you're reassured you're getting what they quote you. I for one, will be requesting I deal with another agent moving forward there.
Fantastic experience: Josh was the best driving instructor we have experienced for my daughter's driving classes. He gives the best attention to detail, while creating a low stress environment. Though AAA needs more instructors overall, Josh is by far the greatest!
Negative experience: Worst service at DMV counter that Ive ever received. Completely unhelpful. Doing business with AAA since 1992. Time to move on.

Fantastic experience: Went in today to deal with a title transfer. Was helped by Mary & her supervisor. Both were absolutely wonderful, timely, and accommodating.
Negative experience: Totally useless now. We came to notarize a one page standard form. I had it on my phone, but they refused to print it... Tried to renew a passport, but they do not do that anymore either... Full of staff, but no customers, and no desire to work.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely very helpful, had to register a out of state RV that I had purchased, they were very helpful, suggest going in the morning to avoid any wait time if your going for any car or rv registration issue, had to go twice, wait time was only about 15 minutes
Positive experience: Very happy with the AAA drivers training program through the Escondido location and Josh Board
Negative experience: Went in at about 4:20, there was three people before me. About 10 more showed up after I was “checked in” and all got helped before I did. I had to go back up to the front and check in again to get helped. I ended up being at this office till pretty much close time while everyone else got helped.
Negative experience: This AAA is slower than the San Marcos DMV using “get in line now”. Repeatedly I’ve waited 45 minutes to do a simple title transfer.
Fantastic experience: This AAA Insurance branch provides outstanding service! Staff at this branch are always super polite, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. Anabel, Mary and others provide super service with DMV needs. The agents at this location are also friendly and helpful. Oscar Rodriguez is an exceptional agent in particular. Positive, helpful, efficient and always looking out for the best possible coverage to meet the needs and budget of his clients. I highly recommend AAA Escondido!
Fantastic experience: Title transfer was quick and easy but don't forget to get a smog.
Positive experience: I had to come back to AAA with a smog check to complete the registration on a new (used) truck we just purchased. The truck is already registered, payment was already made and now I'm waiting, waiting and waiting to simply drop off a copy of the completed smog cert. The employees are nice enough, but the long wait times and lacking sence of urgency reminds me of the DMV / stereotypical complacency / bureaucracy. I hope AAA doesn't continue to resemble more of the attributes and customer service deficiencies of the state DMV.

Negative experience: Tonight, we had a flat tire. We didn’t feel the need to worry because we had AAA. Boy, were we wrong. Instead of the caring company that people used to rely on for help when they needed it, AAA has become one more predatory organization that takes advantage of its loyal members when they need them most. Our little flat tire problem turned into a much bigger one, thanks to AAA. After ordering a service request through the automated system, we were quoted an hour to get a tow. That didn't happen. We called an hour and a half later. We were told they have one contractor with one driver for all of San Diego. They told us he had finished his last service and was on his way to us. They said he would arrive in 30 minutes. He did not arrive. I called and spoke to Jesenia. Aside from the virtual assistant, we placed the initial request through, she was the most caring. However, she confused us more. She said the driver that was supposedly free and on his way to us, wasn’t. She said he was being held by the CHP. When we told her to cancel the service, she said: “Are you sure you don’t want to wait a few minutes?” When I asked how that could be possible if he was being held by CHP, she had no answer. We canceled. So after waiting over 2 hours for nothing, we got a ride home and had to leave our car in the parking lot overnight. In the morning we will need to drive back to try to fix this issue. If our car is still there. The people that we spoke to showed the worst level of apathy and officiousness that I have ever experienced. Not one note of empathy or understanding. Just matter fact statement of policy. If AAA's goal is to create a membership of disappointed, angry members, they have trained their staff well.

Positive experience: I give this place four stars because it is always busy, I wish they would hire more people. But if you have membership you can do your car registration and other DMV transactions here. The staff is very friendly but I just think they're a bit understaffed.
Fantastic experience: Extremely helpful! Was able to get insurance for my car in Arizona even though it was registered in California. So I was able to drive to Tucson Az with insurance even though I still need to register it! I was able to do this after the title was transferred to me.

Negative experience: The woman Rosa or Rosie in membership was rude and unwilling to help me solve my problem. She told me to call the membership number on the back of my card. I was being charged through automatic withdrawal for my daughter's card that neither of us authorized or signed up for.

Fantastic experience: I went to AAA to change my name on the title. There was about a 10 minute wait. The staff was very helpful and efficient.

Fantastic experience: I was in and out so quick I was so amazed. I went in without an apointment at around 2 in the afternoon on a Tuesday, to pay for my vehicle registration and get new tags. I did have my registration renewal with me with a check already filled out for my renewal amount. It was Hassel free and recieved new stickers on the spot. They take DMV payments by Cash, Check, and now Visa or Mastercard. They may take other credit cards, but didn't add them in my review since I am not 100% positive. Note: it has to be a credit card and NOT DEBIT. The reason you have to pay with a CC if using a card is because they do charge a little over 2% fee for not paying by cash or check and this fee can not be applied to a debit card.

Negative experience: I was at AAA in Escondido today to pay the registration of my car, also I was at AAA in Escondido for the same reason after checking the website to find out it was closed. I have been a member for 43 years for the first time I had to deal with a woman that wasn’t interested on helping she thought she was in a popular contest carrying a conversation with another woman how great they were I ask her why they didn’t change the website to let people know they were closed and she answer me is because we deserve a vacation. I don’t know if I will continue to pay my dues after the bad experience I had today with that woman she kept telling me to move like a menthol retarded just ruin my morning

Negative experience: TOOK MY MONEY, CHANGED MY POLICY, RAISED MY RATES all within 2 days then charged me a cancellation fee. CROOKED!!
