Fantastic experience: This is out 2nd trip with OrangeSky, first with Brian and he was nothing short of awesome! He kept us updated, on schedule and made a busy day so much easier on chaperones and students. For me personally this allowed me to fully enjoy the last field trip I will ever attend with my oldest child before she graduates. These are memories I will cherish for a lifetime and I can’t thank you enough.

Positive experience: Orange sky does a great job planning and managing the trip. They help coordinate payments and itinerary as well as real-time schedule during the field trip. The downfall is that this comes at a cost - the trips are generally fairly expensive for the time spent. The cancellation policies even with several months notice are strict and unforgiving as well, if you don’t purchase the additional fee of “trip protection.”

We work hard on behalf of the schools and travelers to provide the best experience possible, which requires us to book and pay in advance of the trip, thus causing the non-refundable timelines. Those payments are often several months in advance of the trip. Since we pay on the travelers behalf prior to the trip departure, we must cover those costs-thus necessitating the non-refundable portions of the trip-to cover the cost of those we are unable to recoup should someone decide to cancel. We are truly grateful to partner with a Travel Protection company to offer that option for those who choose to do so. This allows the opportunity to cancel without the worry of recouping funds-they are able to be easily accessed by filing a claim. We appreciate you traveling with us and hope to have the opportunity to do so again in the future!

Fantastic experience: This was my second trip with Orange Sky and 1st as a teacher. Both trips were smooth and great. This trip was with a large group of 3rd graders. We had Gena Greer, who was fabulous. She kept us organized and moving through a packed day. This was my favorite field trip ever. We are planning to make this a yearly trip and I intend to request Mrs. Greer as my trip leader! Thank you!

Negative experience: I will not travel with them again. Firstly, their hotel choice was unacceptable. The hotel had major AC issues. Despite many complaints, myself and others were left to deal with the hotel ourselves. The hotel did not have enough food for the guests. I watched several of our kids walk away from the buffet empty handed because there was nothing left at the buffet. All while a chaperone on their team paced back and forth around the buffet himself. It wasn’t until I took it upon myself to run and grab food for the kids, that the Orangesky staff paid any attention. Now before you say this is a hotel issue not an Orangesky issue, who planned this event that we paid them for? They should be the ones coordinating with whomever they choose and plan accordingly. Secondly, at the baseball game we attended. They allowed other people to sit in our kids section and steal their seats while they went to grab food or use the restrooms, leaving our kids seatless. Again, I had to intervene and ask the people who took our kids seats to move, despite a chaperone from their company sitting one row behind the stolen seats. And he just shrugged it off and said something about his seat being taken as well. Ridiculous. What are we paying them for? I can’t imagine sending my kid with this group again and expecting anything from them. Unfortunately, they are pressing hard for our schools to use them and our schools are caving. I personally will not attend another trip with them.
We're sorry to hear of the frustrations you had with certain vendors and situations. After our call we understand better where you were frustrated. Although issues may have been resolved after you had left in some instances, we understand that you were still frustrated at the circumstances. We are sorry your experience was not fantastic but hope that actions we took have helped to make it right and look forward to the opportunity to earn your business in the future.
Fantastic experience: I am a teacher and chaperoned a trip to NYC. It was a fantastic time. But what I mostly want to comment on is Brian who was our guide. He was phenomenal. Request him if you can! We had some trouble with our return flight and TSA and he handled it so well. I felt very safe and confident following him around the city. Really great experience with Orange Sky!

Fantastic experience: My 11 year old just returned from a 5th grade overnight trip planned with Orange Sky Travel. Bill Mann kept us parents who did not travel in the loop during their activities and travel. My 5th grader had nothing but great things to say about the accommodations, travel and plans made by Orange Sky. Thanks for all of your hard work in making some great memories for our 5th graders!

Fantastic experience: We had an awesome experience with Orange Sky! Despite some unforeseen circumstances with the buses, our handler Alan Taylor is top-notch! His welcoming personality was great. He interacted with drivers, faculty, and students with professionally and respectfully. His knowledge of operations and logistics is the best I’ve seen with a trip facilitator. Even thought the bus company had some unforeseen issues with a couple of bus, Erin, Jason, Toby, and other administrative staff worked hard to ensure the safety of our students while trying to stay as close to schedule as possible, so that we were almost about to complete everything in on jam packed 3 day trip! Highly recommend Orange Sky. It’s and committed and consumer oriented company.

Fantastic experience: We recently traveled with Orange Sky on an overnight, 5th grade field trip. It was very well organized, and our handlers did an outstanding job communicating with school staff and parents. All of the students seemed to enjoy the planned activities. Fantastic experience: Today marked the end of my 4th trip with Orange Sky. Every experience has been wonferful!! Our handlers have all been great!! (Shoutout to Nalani, Ruth, and Desmond!).. Our handler this time was Justin M. He really connected with the kids, he communicated well with the parents, and made everything about the trip fun. Even the bus ride. Our plan for day 1 needed to change and half the parents weren't even aware that a schedule change had happened because it was so smooth. I can't say enough good things about orange sky and everyone from the company I have come in contact with over the past few years. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience with Orange Sky travel. Our handler was the best most organized person I have ever met. She was truly the best and made the experience amazing. Major an amazing bus driver who went above and beyond to keep us safe and secure! Nalani (tsunami,salami,balami) was incredible and helped make this teachers trip perfect. Fantastic experience: I was surprised because I haven’t had as great of experiences as I did on my trip to Atlanta thanks to orange sky travel. Our orange sky member provided us with movies to watch and provided us with ponchos and snacks. He was really nice and I enjoyed it a lot!

Fantastic experience: I was a chaperone for my son and from pick up to drop off, the service was excellent. This was an awesome trip not only for me and my son but I know a lot of the kids enjoyed themselves and Justin's helpfulness and personality. Justin was our point person he was both helpful and personable. He also knew how to speak to the students. He kept us on point every step of the way he kept us well informed and he guided us through the city as if he lived there. Fantastic experience: Orange sky was very professional. They took care of us all the way through. They were personable and you can tell they really like their jobs. It was nice that as a chaperone, I only had to worry about heeding the students. The schedules were made and everything from start to end was very professionally organized.
