Negative experience: Do not invest in ICE Rewards!! The Wed site stinks. It takes over a minute to load a page, and trying to return to the previous page is impossible. They sell you on the value of points but neglect to tell you that 10000 only equals $100. The points expire if you are unable to book a vacation in their time frame, and you can not use points and your travel cash together for the same trip. They charge $20 for assistance with a booking and use Expedia to book (I can use Expedia myself)! When you log into their website to browse possible vacations, expect to receive at least 3 calls a day from Ice from a different person each time, all claiming to be your personal assistant. They do not research the properties they list, so the description is usually outdated or flat-out wrong. I could go on, but the bottom line for me is they talked my 80 year old mother out of $3000 + dollars and are the worst company to deal with.

Negative experience: Terrible and I mean Terrible customer support. Had an issue with a booking with one of the hotels and tried to resolve with booking, travel, and finance department from ICE and everyone and I mean everyone has been passing the buck. Promises of resolving the issue over 1 month. Every time we had a discussion with a representative or a alleged " Supervisor" we have been asked to call back in 24 to 72 hours not to include promises that they will call back. We have bucked several vacations not to include they are deducting a monthly payment and they had the audacity to put a hold on our account until " THEY" figure out what's going on. There wasn't a phone call or a warning or a conversation. Keep in mind we have current vacations booked, pay on time, and can't even get in to the system and every time a diffirent response and asking us to call back in 24 to 72 hours. We have been calling back for weeks with the same response talked to multiple "Supervisors and agents" We have been told that we had to pay for a failed service that wasn't our responsibility. They gave us points to make up the differences as a good faith gesture, but still locked us out of the account that THEY did not resolve and promised to take care of . This is one of the worst customer service experiences and as a faithful paying customer it's a tragedy. As of today 9/14/2023 , I was on the phone with another agent who spoke with a supervisor by the name of Joseph who says he will take care of this issue and to call on Monday. We will see. Beware if you have an issue with your booking, they go through a 3rd party and if that 3rd party denies the issue, ICE is going to run like rats in a tunnel and give you the run around and not communicate and they will blame you and want you to make the payment knowing it wasn't your fault. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE , support for customers and they are incompetent in resolving problems. ......... BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Have a cruise planned for 2024 and have been making small payments to pay for it and I am not getting receipts and every phone call takes 30 minutes plus horrible service they tell me go online when my membership expired and I am only using my last cruise certificate wish I never bought them. Wish I could just deal with the cruise line.

Fantastic experience: We've mostly had good customer service and good quality resorts/hotels/accommodations.
Positive experience: I've been a member for 15 + yrs. The quarterly specials choices have change to only one offer for the next year vacation. The other reservations on the quarterly specials have to be made by mid December. The restrictions for Vidanta & El Cid limitation, lets you only one week every 2 or 3 years. The choices in the Quarterly specials, resorts have few choices, when you take away El Cid &Vidanta. The prices for hotel stays are not much different than the off sites, with no membership yearly fees. Cruises either. Flights made through Ice is just a convenient. Prices are higher than if you made them on different web sites. Keep your Ice contracts and screen copy anything to do with these representatives. I lost my points with no expirations dates to use them in 2 years. If you make a vacation using your cash earned and the hotel/resort decides to cancel your stay. You'll get the cash back in 1 - 2 weeks. You will lose your cash if you don't make another reservation using in 30 days. If you call to make a reservation, there is a service fee now. All reservations should be done on line now. I don't get emails from Ice for upcoming events including when quarterly specials are happening. I do with Gov Vacations and AFV, ( these are similar with Ice Rewards) And I only have limited membership with Gov & Military vacations.
Fantastic experience: ICE Rewards program is a great value to people who like to travel and experience the world. They are easy to work with and helpful. The savings are great.
Positive experience: While the selection of vacations is good, the ICE website has always been incredibly "glitchy", resulting in a frustrating experience when trying to choose from the selection offered. Everything goes well until you try to get extra information on a particular resort, or choose your specific dates. Most alarmingly, this time our confirmation email said in bold letters that our transaction could not be completed due to credit card issues. We called customer support, and a very kind gentleman assured us that everything looked fine on his end. Still, I'm worried and frustrated; do I have a vacation planned?? Nevertheless, we have enjoyed our vacations booked through ICE in the past.

Negative experience: Had a cruise booked 5 cabins and needed to change the dates. Was on the phone 5 hours to try and get this changed. REQUESTED to be in the middle of the ship… after 5 hours on the phone, mostly being on hold . I looked at my cabins after he changed them and all were in the front of the ship… no one ever calls you back and your on hold forever, very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: One customer Rep said I had points and weeks to use, as it turned out another Rep said I only had 1/2 my points, no weeks, I was very disappointed at the misinformation and confusion. 1st Rep said I could call her to make my vacation plan at any time, she no longer returned my call, i tried, no call back, finally I heard from her manager. At this point I used another customer Rep. He helped me. Not a great customer service experience
Positive experience: The main reason I join ICE was because of the Quarterly Specials. Sales from $49 - Abt. $700 for a week/s vacation for 2. The choices for stays have declined since 2007 . There are fewer choices and times of the year one can take vacation. Stays are once every 3 years at El Cid or 2 yrs at the Vidanta resorts. Vacations are during non prime time, May - December. Vidanta & El Cid have taken over the site for the Quarterly Specials. If you like to travel every year, don't join ICE.

Fantastic experience: It would be less stressful if the customer could have at least 24 - 48 hours to go over their notes and speak to their 'spouse, family or partner, and then commit to at least the first payment/down payment at another meeting with the 'counselor', and have those days count with the ten days to decide to cancel or go ahead with the agreement of payments or decide if they want to pay the whole amount of the 'program' off.

Positive experience: Well the last trip I was on, the resort stuck us in a horrible room, the beds were old, hard and had an old sponge mattress topper on it. When asked to have it removed and replaced all they brought was a clean mattress cover. The beds were still hard. Also had mariachi bands playing until 3 in the morning. Also the board walks were under major construction so it was very dusty and dirty. So I hope the next trip to Tullum will be better.

Fantastic experience: Renaldo explained quickly and precisely the advantages to upgrading with ICE and I really liked his suggestion to involve other family members to enjoy using the large number of points that have accumulated. I also felt grateful to Renaldo's wife, Abigail who saved us a thousand dollars in cost when we needed to change our tickets for upcoming international travel to Bolivia. She contacted the CSA Travel Protection people and made the changes to our protection plan FOR ME! That was huge and saved me from having to file for a refund after paying the new premium up front. These two employees are "SPECIAL" and a huge asset to your company! I never want to deal with any other company again as long as I can get their help and experience. Abigail really understood our situation after only one explanation and went to bat for us with United and CSA. Why would we ever want to go to anyone else?
