Fantastic experience: We recently went on a trip to Costa Rica set up by Travelbyjen. The package included air travel, a car and two hotels. We booked with them through Nick Paone who was very helpful and recommended activities of which we chose three: 1)Chocolate & Coffee tour (NorthFields, La Fortuna) where our host was Stephan who gave us excellent information, coffee and chocolate in an engaging an interesting way. 2. Hanging Bridges and Waterfall where our guide was Minor who was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna and the history and was also vey engaging and personable and would highly recommend him. 3. Volcano walk, . Our guide was Alverez(?) aka Kojak. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain how the volcano formed and all the consequences of the eruption. He then took us up the lava field and pointed out physical features of the landscape and also the many rare and beautiful flowers and trees that now grow on the lava. Also highly recommended. I needed some information from TravelByJen in country support which was provided by Manfred Carillo who responded quickly and efficiently. I will confess prior to this trip I had my doubts but it all worked out very well and we were very pleased. Happy to recommend TravelByJen.

Negative experience: The sales Lady Samantha is no help this place is a scam!!! They list places on there site to get you to call so they can tell you it’s not available and then offer you same trip for double the price!!!

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS: In August 2024, I booked a group trip through Travel by Jen for a February 2025 vacation to Tulum with five friends. Earlier this month, we discovered alarming recent reviews about our chosen resort: foot and mouth disease outbreaks, widespread black mold, undrinkable brown water, plumbing issues, severely limited dining options, and misrepresented room conditions. When we contacted them to cancel due to these serious health and safety concerns, their response was appalling. Despite being over 60 days from our travel date (their website clearly states they offer 50% refund 30-45 days out), they insisted no refunds were possible under any circumstances. When confronted with their own written policy, they claimed their website was incorrect. Their customer service was shockingly dismissive. I personally called separately from my group and I was told someone else already called. Our travel agent had left for the day and I was told to call back tomorrow. I was never offered a return call from the agent. It has been over a week and I haven’t heard from anyone at the company. They brushed off our legitimate health concerns by suggesting that just because other guests had terrible experiences doesn't mean we would too. They didn’t offer me a solution as a paying customer. We've each initiated disputes with our credit card companies, who are supporting our cases based on Travel by Jen's published terms and conditions that directly contradict their current stance. I only used this company because another group member made the arrangements, but I strongly advise against booking with them. Their deceptive practices, hostile customer service, and refusal to honor their own policies make them completely untrustworthy.

Fantastic experience: We just got back from our first vacation using Travel by Jen and we had a great experience. Suzzanne was our agent and she was very helpful getting the whole trip booked. The airlines made a mistake (no fault of Suzzanne's) and when I called her at 7:45am she answered and was able to help us resolve the issue. I will be using Travel by Jen in the future for sure.

Fantastic experience: Sue helped us with all our travel plans for our family reunion. We had about 20 people total. She was very knowledgeable on the hotels and things to do in Cancun. The whole trip went very smoothly. We will definitely be using her services for our next trip!

Negative experience: POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS BEWARE: Booked a trip in August 2024 with 6 people to Tulum for a Feb 2025 girls trip. On Dec 2, 2024, we became aware that our resort’s rating took a serious dip due to a series of disturbing events: several cases of foot and mouth disease, black mold, brown water running from faucets, toilets backing up, only one functional restaurant having the same limited menu the entire week and rooms not being as pictured. Of course we were most concerned with the infectious concerns so we wanted to cancel our trip. According to their terms and conditions on the website, there is a 50% refund if you are within a 30-45 day window. We are over 60 days out so should have been fine for a complete refund (minus any fee the airline may charge). When we called to cancel, they immediately told us there were absolutely no refunds for any reason. When I told them what their website said, they told me their website was wrong and that they told us verbally that there are no refunds. They said they could move us somewhere else at a significantly higher rate. They were extremely rude and even had the audacity to say that just because the many reviewers who had bad experiences didn’t ‘enjoy themselves, it didn’t mean we wouldn’t!’ Who would intentionally go some place with the conditions we saw listed? Who would want to work with an agency that was so rude, attempted to hold us hostage and thinks they can keep money for a trip we haven’t taken when we are more than 60 days out and their own terms and conditions contradict what they are telling us? I have traveled to over 30 countries and have worked with many agencies and have never had such nasty customer service. We are working with our respective credit card companies to dispute & refund the charges. They are amenable to do so because of Travel by Jen’s own terms and conditions in writing on their website. I will never work with this company again and only used them this time because someone else arranged this trip. I will stick with a more professional company who has arranged trips for me from Cancun to Jamaica to Belgium to Paris: Impressive Travels out of Houston Texas.

Fantastic experience: Booked a November trip to Costa Rica with Cody. San Bosco Inn in Arenal was our first hotel and we could use Volcano Lodge facilities (extensive hot springs, gardens, and great birding!). We did not let the rain bother us at all! Then moved on to Manual Antonio where our hotel had an onsite restaurant. We rented boogey boards and swam in the Pacific (and wished for the hot springs!). The 3 long drives we made were stressful due to rain, mudslides, suicidal motorcycle riders and narrow, curvy, dark, hilly roads. Staff and guides (we scheduled trips on our own) were very friendly and helpful.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE TRAVEL BY JEN!!!!! Would love to give zero stars. We booked a trip to Costa Rica. Included in our package was a sloth tour. We were given clear instructions on when and where to meet our guide for the sloth tour. We arrived at the appointed time. No-one was there. We attempted to contact the tour provider but could find no evidence of them online. We contacted Travel By Jen but were told they could not do anything about it until after we returned. We went ahead and booked with another tour provider for $50 per person. After we returned, we emailed Travel by Jen numerous times to request reimbursement. We were asked to provide documentation, which we provided. They said they would attempt to contact the tour provider and then they would get back to us. They never did. We reached out numerous times but did not receive a response. As we see it, we are still owed $150 since the tour company did not exist and we paid additional money for this specific tour. We travel a lot but we will NEVER USE TRAVELBYJEN again! We are disappointed that they were so quick to disregard us. They contracted with a fly by night tour provider who did not deliver. Travel By Jen owes it to their customers to correct these types of mistakes and to stand behind the packages they sell.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Samantha for 3-4 years now! She is amazing! I send her some dates, some airports we can fly out of, and my price range. Within hours or even less she has me a handful of all inclusive’s to pick from! She is quick and professional to say the least. Every trip I’ve planned with her she takes care of the round trip transportation to and from the airport and resort. This is such a huge burden lifted for us. I didn’t read my email all the way last year and freaked out because I didn’t know who was picking us up from the airport to the resort (Totally my fault!) I called Sam’s direct number in an absolute panic and she explained the drivers would be in turquoise shirts and white pants and assured me everything was fine. If I would’ve read my email completely she had all those little details in there that make your trip hassle free! I literally just booked another trip with her a week ago! I honestly brag about Sam all the time that I have the best travel agent ever I recommend anyone and everyone to use this agency! I seriously cannot say enough good things about Samantha!

Fantastic experience: Sue Dibenedetto was so helpful! She recommended tubing down the Rio Celeste with horseback riding. Manuel Antonio national park, canyoning (rappelling down waterfalls, pool jumping, ziplining) our most adventurous activity!, and finally the LaPaz park (amazing waterfalls and wildlife). All in all amazing vacation!

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time! Customer service agents are horrible and do very little to assist you based on whatever your families goals are for travel. If you have an online booking system, that is not currently up-to-date or updated within a reasonable amount of time you should remove that platform from your website.

Fantastic experience: I have always had the best experience with Suzanne B. at Travel by Jen. We have used this company many of times and always had an Incredible trip. My girl over there, Suzanne, is always looking for the best deal and the best price. The cool part is, they have an 800 number that you can call and she will answer the phone. In this new generation with everything going to automated systems, it’s good to know that you’ve got great people out there doing their job and doing it well. She is on it, call her and relax as she put a package to together for you.

Fantastic experience: Travel by Jen is absolutely amazing! Both Jenny and Samantha assisted me. Let’s talk about Samantha’s very demure nature though! She dealt with my STRESS with ease and ensured me that her job is to take away my stress during the process of booking my getaway. Hotel choice was very poor, very far destination from airport to hotels , driving roads are very bad and dangerous. Very cheap & same breakfast offered every morning.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I really enjoyed the travel by Jen costs rica vacation. It was an amazing value and adventure. We were skeptical going into this. How can it be such a low price. Each of the three hotels exceeded expectations. Volcano view and birds singing out seen from our bed with a great included breakfast another beautiful view and vanishing edge pool all close to mountain and rain forest adventures. Second stay was quite a drive but do worth it with our private bungalow just a walk to the beach. Porch with hammock and picnic table (no AC but fans worked and it was all screened in do no mosquitos in the toom. Third stop was in town closer to airport. Amazing breakfast, nice room and not far to great restaurant bar scene. Not fond of spirit airline but all else great.

Negative experience: Used this company for a week trip to Costa Rica. There was no customer service when I needed to change a single night of our stay. They talked me into upgrades that provided no benefit and after checking prices found I was overcharged and could have booked on my own for much less. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: Overall we had a great time, but I wouldn't use Travel by Jen again. Spent "4" hours traveling to our first hotel. Hotel was great and volcano tours terrific once we got there. After 3 days spent another "3 1/2" hours to the Beach hotel. Travel times were not what we were told. This hotel was awful. Rooms were tiny and in the elevator were signs selling off units. We ended up checking out after our first night and going to a nicer hotel. Three days later had to spend another 3 1/2 hours to get back to the airport. Love Costa Rica and will probably go back Will book our own reservations the next time. Dave

Negative experience: Simply terrible! We booked with Groupon and the flights were canceled because of a potential hurricane. No notice, no response from this agency until Monday. All weekend left my family high and dry. The emergency line and email gets you NO Where! Do not book with these people via Groupon! Terrible all around. I would give them a negative 5 stars! Run for the hills!!!

Negative experience: I spoke to Suzanne DiBenedetto. I was talked at not to. She never really found out what I wanted. I felt rushed. She never introduced herself. She only stated her name when I asked for her to send something via email. What she sent has me at the same place I was before the call. I have no idea of location of hotels, I don't know the excursions and she has slotted a SUV to rent, why not a car? She was negative on the time of year I requested. She was negative in general.

Fantastic experience: I’m sure everyone who works here is great, but we were lucky enough to have Samantha helping us. After issues with flight cancellations due to a hurricane, she called me to let me know of a cancellation even the airline didn’t notify me of, and was incredibly supportive as we worked to figure out next steps. I reached out to try to salvage the plans we had on the trip and she answered just about immediately with hotels, rental cars, and even tours fixed for our new flights. With a reality of talking to machines or bring on hold for hours, it was incredible to be able to call an actual person and talk to them right then. Can’t recommend enough, specifically Samantha, whose kindness, responsiveness, and efficiency was out of this world.

Negative experience: It is rare for me to leave a negative review, but in this case, I felt that I had to. My friend and I booked a trip to Costa Rica this summer. We used Samantha. She was very responsive throughout the process, but once we got to our destination….nothing Here is the issue we had, she sent us a list of excursions. We picked four of them. Obviously we don’t know our way around Costa Rica, and how far things are, so that is why we used a travel agent. When we got to Costa Rica, we realized that two of our excursions or three hours EACH way. Spending six hours driving is not something that anyone should have to do on vacation for a day excursion and driving in Costa Rica at night on the windy. Rainy roads is very unsafe. We sent four emails to let her know the issues, and to possibly change to excursions that were closer and left two voicemails after we got back from our trip. No response at all. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Pay a little more for someone who will actually help you and respond. Very disappointing.

The lady I worked with for my 2 trips to Mexico (her name is Christine English) was in it!! Found a wonderful place, checked all my boxes, answered all my questions within a day or so. Absolutely wonderful! I reached out to Jen with some things I was looking for, for our next wacation. She answered with attaching an employee to my email and said she was the girl to get the job done.. well.. that was in early June.. she said she had some places in mind.. when I reached out a few days later she said she was looking for the best deals.. and I've heard NOTHING since

Fantastic experience: Travel by Jenn was great. Samantha was absolutely amazing. As my son and his family did not have passports yet so there were many calls and repricings. Samantha was incredibly patient and professional all the way. We had an amazing time as a family, and we all pushed our limits a little to enjoy it all. Hotel Mountain Paradise was natural and incredible with the customer service and the views. Margaritaville was fun and crazy. All in all Samantha put us on the right path for adventure and fun. Fantastic experience: I called Travel by Jen with such a complicated situation trying to book a deal coordinating with friends out of the country, and Samantha (Sam) was SO kind and helpful. Positive experience: We just returned from a 6 day 5 night, Costa Rico trip. First resort in Arenal was wonderful, the buffet breakfast that was included was top notch and we had dinner there one evening which was great as well. Things went downhill when we headed to Jaco, terraza del Pacifico was subpar by far. One old Fashioned key per room, for starters, then the breakfast buffet was not available, no coffee in room or available till 8:00 with breakfast, no ice Machine, the walls were so thin it was tough to get a good nights sleep with the trucks and the Jake brakes, and bus load of kids that came in running Around. In addition the resort played horrible loud Music over speakers till quiet time at 10, it was highly annoying. Liked the area but Would never recommend anyone To stay at the second resort. Negative experience: We had an amazing experience in Costa Rica and everything went swimmingly at Wyndham Tamarindo and Linda Vista del Norte hotel. Two significant items I called TravelbyJen to address. Never would I recommend staying at Fleur de Lys in San Jose. TravelbyJen Agency should have checked all of their venues out thoroughly before booking at this hotel. It was in a very economically depressed dangerous area. We felt that unsafe to walk around. It was also 30 minutes from the airport. The hotel itself was abysmal. No air conditioning, no onsite parking (required us to park a couple blocks away), no amenities. It reminded me of staying in a college dorm room or a hostel, at best. The other item that TravelbyJen did not provide is early morning transportation from Solid Rental Car to the airport. We had to be at the airport by 5 AM and we were on our own to figure out how to get there. Not acceptable. I may use them again in the future, but I am going to double check all the details before booking with them again.

Negative experience: I would not recommend booking with this ‘travel agency.’ First, the website is not very user friendly, which was my first indication that something wasn’t quite right and wish I would have paid more attention to that red flag. Second, I received a call from them because the flight combos and the timing wasn’t what they would recommend because of the drive to Arenal from the airport. This was considerate of them, so I thought, but I had already paid for the flights and they have to send you a quote for the travel insurance instead of being able to purchase with the package. Not to worry, they said, everything was fully refundable within 7 days and that’s when I could purchase the travel insurance. So, they recommended we take the Delta red eye instead of the Southwest flight that the package included, which was more expensive but more convenient. The caveat was I had to do all of that booking myself and the cancelling of the Southwest flights. No problem, I thought, everything was refundable. Well, after a month of not receiving the refund for the Southwest flights I contacted Southwest and they said they don’t receive the funds until once the trip is completed when booked through a third party, I had to go to the travel agency. So I did, and was told it could take up to two billing cycles to get the funds back on my card. Well, it has been over 3 months now and I haven’t received a refund and both Southwest and Travel by Jen are blaming each other and saying they aren’t responsible, so I now have to dispute the charges with my credit card company because I’m getting the runaround from both. Third, it’s very hard to just get a straight answer out of them. For example, I was told they had to charge my card right away because we were traveling over Passover and the hotels wanted funds immediately. I said okay, you have my credit card and I’ve already signed the form allowing you to charge, go ahead. Well, the charge never came and since they don’t send you any type of confirmation information until right before the trip, I started to worry that our hotels weren’t booked. Send an email with that simple question, it takes days and they finally call me saying well if the hotels don’t bug us we just don’t worry about it. Finally, some of the information they gave us was inaccurate. With the rental car, they said it would be up to a $1,000 deposit, but it was actually a $2,000 deposit if we didn’t get full coverage. Also, they called me and said that the national park in Manuel Antonio was super hard to get into if you didn’t book in advance, and they recommended booking through them early to get a spot. I was able to go on the website and book it myself for less than half the price, and we ended up going at a different time with no problems. And they didn’t warn us about the locals trying to stop your car to get you park a mile and a half away from the park that pretend to be with the national park. Overall, I had a really bad experience with this whole process and I would not recommend using them to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Great vacation package deal , my hubby and I paid more because of our daily activities, but if you’re more like a vacationer (no activities) then the deal itself is worth it. Went to Costa Rica for the first time and had no problems. We went from San Jose to La Fortuna and Tamarindo which is a far drive (there are some rough roads and potholes, it’s bearable just be careful) , which came with the deal and it was worth it. Other than that, best trip!

Fantastic experience: We worked with Samantha from TravelbyJen. She was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Fantastic experience: We recently got back from a trip to Costa Rica and our first time booking with Travel by Jen. With any first-time booking, we were apprehensive. As very seasoned travelers we made an extremely rookie mistake and forgot our driving licenses at home (we assumed passport was sufficient - totally forgetting we had a rental car this trip). After spending half our day trying to come up with a resolution that wouldn't be VERY costly (uber the whole island which would have been close to $1000 with everywhere we were going), I decided to call our agent (Samantha) with Travel by Jen. To our surprise they answered and IMMEDIATELY stepped into action to help us. Samantha and Jen (the owner) spoke with the rental car company and were able to get us a plan of action that didn't completely ruin our trip. To me this was above and beyond - this was our error and they could have done nothing at all. The rest of our trip went smoothly, good lodging and all activities went as planned. Positive experience: To be transparent, we booked late…only 10 days to departure. The Costa Rica 7 days from $499 ended up being closer to $1000/person even after driving from OKC to Dallas for better flights. Spirit Airlines is awful. Try to fly a different airline if possible. Stay at Costa Verde in Quepos as Hotel San Bada was deep into area and for elderly groups, not family.

Fantastic experience: Our 8 day holiday in Costa Rica was amazing. The hotels that were reserved for us were top notch. The Volcano Lodge in La Fortuna was fantastic, the lodge had its own hot springs to enjoy till late in the evening. The breakfast which was included was of great quality including the individual omelette's made to order. Also the excursions made available to us were great. We then went from the rain forest in La Fortuna to the Pacific coast where we stayed at the Margaritaville Beach Resort. To our surprise we were given a FREE upgrade room wise. We were given the best room at the Resort, a two room ocean view suite with two balconies, one facing the beach the other the pool. Beach Front Room, AMAZING!!!!!! We also were given breakfast everyday with those made to order omelette's along with everything else that goes with breakfast. Lauren at Travelbyjen did an amazing job setting up this holiday for the 4 of us. We did have to travel back to San Jose the Friday before leaving on Saturday. I would suggest staying in a hotel in San Jose after flying into Costa Rica on day one. It is difficult to get in and drive 4 hours to your first hotel if you have to drive at night. The roads are difficult to navigate at night. Our San Jose hotel was amazing also, Studio Hotel Boutique. It was living at an art gallery. Plus the 2nd story outdoor pool. THANKS THANKS THANKS to Lauren and Travelbyjen for making my first trip to COSTA RICA a success.

Fantastic experience: We first used Travelbyjen last year to travel to Costa Rica. Suzanne D. the agent that assisted us was wonderful and adjusted the package so that we were able to attend a wedding and still take advantage of the package offer. Negative experience: NO REFUNDS! Booked a trip to Costa Rica with this company. Once they have your money don’t expect them to answer you. Reached out several times in regard to vouchers for tours that were advertised and included, but not sent. Nick Neone has ignored any of my attempts. NO REFUNDS! With good reason. They advertise a certain itinerary and accommodations, but change either or both…..and there is nothing you can do about it! NO REFUNDS! Because you are probably not going to get what you paid for or what was advertised. NO REFUNDS! Out of 348 reviews on yelp, they are rated 2.6…..

Hey Nori, All the hotels you booked where on Request when you booked it as they are really small hotels and you booked over holiday break where we tried super hard to get you accommodations. You say we didnt give you the tours but Nick said you did not want the tour he said you had told him you could not do them, so I am really confused why we got such a bad review? The hotel we sent you to was an upgrade from the one advertised. Also yelp only post bad reviews unless you pay them which is why we try really hard to focus on Google where we feel it's fair. It would be better if you try to contact us to resolve any issues you had while away as we are a small family business and try our best to make everyone happy.. Still don't understand what or why you needed a refund? You took the trip and declined the tours which were in the trip inclusions.

Fantastic experience: We had a great trip to Costa Rica. Our travel agent was Sue, and she was so helpful. She recommended we upgrade one of the hotels (at Arenal), and it was awesome! The car rental worked out well, and the second hotel at Manuel Antonio was fine. What made Sue so helpful and amazing was that I had to change the trip dates because of my mom’s health. Sue was so helpful and accommodating and just cheerful! I don’t typically use travel agents but I would highly recommend travelsbyjen.

Fantastic experience: This was our second trip to Costa Rica using Travel by Jen. Lauren was extremely helpful in getting us the trip we wanted within our budget. She was always available to answer any questions we had, and she even gave us her direct number before we left in the event we had any issues while we were travelling. We didn't have any problems with the hotels we stayed at, and they were all very accommodating. Getting around by car was an excellent opportunity to see so much of the country. Hiking, horseback riding, and beaches were great. Keep in mind there are additional fees for car insurance and airline fees (e.g. baggage, seats, etc.).

Positive experience: My husband and I just returned from a 7 day vacation in Costa Rica. Overall we had a great time, however, there are a few things that I wish we had known. We landed at SJO and had a 3 hour drive to La Fortuna. Volcano Lodge was amazing and we loved it. After 3 nights it was time to move to our next location, which was the coast. It took about 4 hours to get there (yes I could've researched this prior to traveling, but isn't that why we hire a travel agency??). The following day after arriving on the coast we realized the excursion we booked was about 2.5 hour bus ride BACK towards La Fortuna where we just came from! So that would have been 5 hour round trip excursion. We were unable to get a refund for that excursion after we chose not to go on it. I wish someone from the travel agency would have said to us "hey you may want to rethink this excursion" And then finally it took us about 6 hours to get from the coast back to San Jose to fly home. Again, the roads and drive time are not the fault of the travel agency, but I wish we had been prepared for those long travel times. We may have chosen to go somewhere other than the coast.

Negative experience: I booked Travel ByJen booked this entire Costa Rica package through Groupon, which 1 star out of 5-star rating, your company is also responsible as well since we are getting NO WHERE with Spirit Airlines or Thrifty Rent-A-Car. They do not have anywhere near an A+ rating with BBB. Day 2 at Bungalow #8, Limon, we had a broken toilet.  They said they fixed it twice.  This is false.  We came home to poop in the toilet and would like to get a one night's stay fully refunded as well as a partial refund of our fiasco with Spirit Airlines.  I cannot tell you accurately in words how much of a complete disaster this has been trying to get this matter resolved with Spirit Airlines.  We did ask the hotel if they would refund a one night's stay and they said to take it up with the agency you booked with. We had to switch bungalows late at night in the pouring down rain.  Attached is the broken toilet note from the hotel. Javier could not get it fixed. The car you reserved for us was a complete joke. It didn't have much horsepower and it was old and very, very basic and poorly maintained. The upgrade we rented much better- minimal horsepower and poorly maintained. Thrifty Rent A Car charged us four additional items that were outside the written contract and did not inform us ahead is time including a $57.00 charge in refuel even though we told them very clearly, we would bring it back full and they ignored us on this as well.  We are getting nowhere with them either.  See attached receipt. It took us 5.5 hours to get from Limon to SJO. That left us 2 hours to catch an international flight home. Thrifty overcharged us $300.00, completely ignoring the prepay we had already signed and paid for with Travel by a Jen. Please consider refunding us a portion of our trip with extensive amounts charges from both companies.

Positive experience: Booked Cancun all inclusive NYX hotel. Good price and got air ticket in 2 days after placed order. I bought airport transfer from airport to hotel round trip. The way from airport to hotel was great. But the way from hotel to airport is terrible! Transportation company want to pick us up 5 hour before my departure time. I asked them to pick up 2 hour before departure time. They said my transfer price is not private transfer. If I want to do my time I have to pay them $40 per person! Taxi from hotel to airport cost only $35-40. My suggestion is DO NOT buy transfer. You can get taxi easy and cheaper than using them.

Positive experience: I had the pleasure of working with Lauren to book a beautiful trip to Costa Rica. After reading the reviews, I was skeptical about the type of experience I was going to have. I think it is important to keep in mind the lowest costing option is presented to you at first. If you want more bells and whistles then you have to make the adjustment. I chose to upgrade to the 2nd tier of hotels (Wyndham Tamarindo(my favorite), Montana de Fuego, and Autentico Hotel) since I planned to explore and would not be in the hotel a lot. I also chose to do tours Catamaran Sunset Cruise, Hanging Bridges and La Roca Canyoning and did not experience any issues with them. If you are staying at Montana de Fuego, they have adventurous activities on the property too. The complaint I read about and prepared for was purchasing insurance once you pick up the car. I also upgraded from a Sudan to a Jeep which, in total with insurance was an extra $550. I wanted to know I could drive anywhere and have peace of mind with the 4 wheel drive. Overall this was such a memorable trip that I could never forget. Everyone I met was so kind. Each town you can walk around and there was amazing food, sights, and energy. I would definitely book another trip with this agency.
