Positive experience: Working with David was a plus Working with David was a plus; I would definitely recommend working with him; he was always available. The resort was great but I was not fond of the lack of availability of what the resort provided; yes, it was the off season, but the price was not; lack of food/restaurant choices; also the constant solicitation got to be unbearable; also, the deposit upon arrival to the hotel was a surprise, especially after all the money spent for the vacation. Very grateful for the transportation but there needs to be a better system in place between Amstar and the drivers; one guy just came and grabbed my bags and an Amstar employee had to confront the guy to let go of my luggage; I had never been to Jamaica, so I had no clue what to expect. The Amstar drivers need distinctive shirts also. The Mobay experience was giving everything it needed to give. Overall, the resort was ok, for the money, should of been a lot better. The customer service was good, even though I did not see my personal concierge for 2 days.

The company itself is great when she has to be the best worker. I was always updated to the point of where there was a price change significant enough for them to trigger a savings and she let me know on my next vacation that will be taken off because I had basically credit with the company and this day and age nobody works that hard to make you happy. They have firsthand knowledge of the properties. They’re sending you to whether they’ll be good if the food will be good and will you be safe and that makes me and my wife extremely happy we will be using this company to travel internationally Until we stop. Most people don’t read long reviews, but I know I do if somebody takes their time to let somebody know the truth this company is legit and she is the best. I’m booking a trip to Mexico right now.

Fantastic experience: My (now) husband and I chose Modern Travelworks to assist with our room block arrangement and help our guests book their accommodations with the resort for our destinationwedding. From our very first conversation with Sheba and Fereshta, we knew we made the right choice. They were very warm, funny, knowledgeable, professional, and made everything incredibly easy from the first day up unto the wedding. Sheba was very quick with guest quotes (sometimes multiple for one person), and went over and beyond tracking people down and getting them to book (I've learned people procrastinate a LOT- that part was a bit nerve-wracking!). But she got it done with minimal work needed on our part. Closer to the wedding, my best friend's husband had another serious complication from a brain surgery he had months prior and they were unable to attend. I had fronted the cost for their stay because I really wanted them to be there and I know medical bills were piling up for them. Once I learned they couldn't attend, I reached out to Sheba to see if there was any way I could recover any of the money I paid. I knew it would be a long shot since I didn't remember to buy the travel insurance (I highly suggest getting it just in case!!!). However, Sheba was able to recover the full amount once we submitted medical documentation! I don't know how she did it- I can only think she's a magician or something! Needless to say, we've been very impressed with their service and highly recommend them for guest accommodations for any wedding or event. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts!

We decided we wanted to host a Destination Birthday Celebration for our 60th birthdays in 2022. We found Sheba Mathews, Team Leader, Modern Travelworks on line and she did not disappoint. Sheba helped us plan a fabulous Destination Birthday Celebration for us and our guests; 35 in total at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa Resort, Cancun, Mexico. The five star resort was spectacular. Sheba coordinated with the resort to make sure our vacation was Amazing and Memorable. We could not have experienced such Awesomeness without Sheba. This was one of the best vacations I have ever experienced. I’m still smiling. Throughout the process, Sheba Mathews was professional, approachable, responsive and very patient with the hostesses and our guests. She worked with the resort in order for them to provide us with a complimentary space for our meet and greet and a complimentary cocktail hour and dinner for our birthday celebration. Plus there were numerous surprises for all 5 hostesses and the 4 guests turning 60 in 2022! We felt very special! Everyone had a fabulous time! I mean everyone! The all-inclusive resort was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food was great! I will definitely use Sheba’s services again! If you are planning a destination wedding, vow renewal, birthday celebration or just a vacation with family and friends, and you need a travel agent to assist, I highly recommend Sheba Mathews!

Fantastic experience: Modern Travelworks is a GREAT and TRUSTWORTHY travel agency to use when booking your vacation to Mexico. Like most people, I take online reviews with a grain of salt, but truly, this travel agency went far beyond our expectations for a special trip and helped when I experienced an unexpected turn during the trip. We primarily coordinated our trip with Krystal Aziz. Due to pandemic, the emails went back and forth for over a year. Krystal always responded in a timely matter and provided recommendations to make the best out of our trip! Krystal was able to get us the hotel room we wanted, for the entire duration of our trip, so we didn’t have to bother with the hassle of trading rooms in the middle of our vacation. Krystal made it easy on us by setting up transportation from the airport to hotels. This gave us the confidence knowing what to expect on each leg of our trip, and knew our logistics would be there so our vacation would not be interrupted. Lastly, a special thank you to Mike Hart as well. Mike was covering for Krystal when I unexpectedly needed transportation arrangements. Within the same business day, Krystal and Mike worked together to secure transportation while even considering earlier pick up times for expected heavy traffic. All of this assistance proved valuable, our trip was great, and would use Modern Travelworks again to plan our next trip! Thank You!!!!

Positive experience: Very good experience with this travel agency. The resort was fabulous, travel flying in and out, and the transfers were all smooth transactions. If you’re concerned about the virus, everything was done in accordance with health guidelines. No complaints, except with getting my name corrected in-line with my passport. (The reason only 4 stars). I called the airline and after being on hold for about 40 minutes, I was able to speak with an agent who was very helpful in getting the corrections completed. Great trip!!!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!

But unfortunately the pandemic happened and that caused a lot of worries and issues for us, but Kristin was responsive and quick with addressing each of our issues/concerns that popped up because of it. Fantastic experience: Anna D makes traveling easy!!! Just the thought of getting two kids from an airport to a resort was so overwhelming to me. But Anna and Modern Vacations takes care of it all! They give honest feedback about resorts and really listen to what you want in your vacation to help pick the best spot. I’ve used her two times and have a third trip planned this summer! She also answers my calls and messages on the weekend. Great customer service!!!
