Seabrook Inn: Reviews
Positive experience: No frills motel. Towels were sandpaper. Continental breakfast was just ok.
Positive experience: Least expensive hotel in the area for a reason. Still, the place was clean.
Positive experience: I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. Despite booking a smoke-free room, the smell of cigarettes was overwhelming, which made my stay uncomfortable from the start. As a woman, I also faced issues with the shower. It was difficult to properly wash my hair, as the water pressure made it nearly impossible to rinse out shampoo fully. The breakfast was disappointing. It was the same limited selection every day, consisting mostly of bread slices, English muffins, butter and jelly, boiled eggs, bananas, cereal, and machine-dispensed juice and coffee. I typically expect a bit more variety, especially when it comes to fruits and healthier options. The bed was by far the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. I barely got any rest during my stay, which affected my overall experience. On the positive side, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Their kindness and attentiveness made a huge difference and somewhat balanced out the negative aspects of my stay. Another plus was being able to park right in front of my room every night, which was convenient. While I appreciated the friendliness staff and convenient parking, the other issues made it hard to fully enjoy my time here.
Negative experience: Major health concerns!! MOLD! DIRTY SHEETS AND MATTRESS! HUMAN FLUID STAINS COVERING RUG! ITCHED ALL NIGHT....AND NOW WE HAVE LICE AFTER STAYING ONLY 1 NIGHT!!! I have many pictures and are still trying to download them for room 212.
Negative experience: Probably ran. By damn Patel's who don't care about anything just the money and don't have to pay a tax love our gov free for foreigners to live but us Americans get screwed need to put motels on higher standards
Positive experience: This place was decent. The one star reviews are unjust imo
Negative experience: Beware ! Rooms are old, dirty, run down and smell like smoke. There was creepy people lurking in the parking lot and watching us. Front desk did give us our money back and we went and found someplace else
Negative experience: They have bed bugs
Negative experience: It served its purpose. Very surprisingly with how dirty the place was, there were no bugs. There were piles of dirt in every corner and in the chair cushion. It was very old and run down. The shower was dirty and barely worked, and the bathroom so small I had to stand between the tub and the shower to open and close the door. The AC was super loud and made it difficult to sleep, but it was very humid and hot outside we had to deal with it. The room ceiling light up against the TV was odd and had to be turned off or you could not watch TV because of the reflection. Breakfast was meager and cold. The wi-fi barely worked, and we were right near the front office. The whole thing was very overpriced at $150/night.
Negative experience: The carpets were black, as if they hadn’t been cleaned properly in months. The shower was stained with soap scum and god only knows what else. The sink also had soap scum and remnants of whatever else and was cracked near the drain. The shield was off the register, so had it been winter; it could’ve been very hazardous to children. The toilet seat was broken. Messy pool areas, never kept stocked with towels. The pools themselves were clean and the outside areas are nice for the most part, though; guests have a tendency of leaving the tables trashy.
Negative experience: Stayed 1 week, never got any cleaning, when I asked for towels and toilet paper they appeared to think I was robbing them. Noisy motel motorcycles starting at all hours of the night, partying, lots of drunks. Thus is one of the worst motels I have ever stayed and I am 68 years old so I have stayed at hundreds of motels.
Negative experience: If you like sleeping, this is not the place for you. Writing this review after maybe 4 hours of heavily interrupted sleep. OK, I can overlook the decor. It is a very old hotel and it is used and abused. It was the cheapest hotel so I know what I’m getting into if I booked the cheapest hotel (it was $200 a night!). It’s not going to look great. The hot water worked. The lights worked. It was functional. The staff was extremely accommodating and nice. I would say they are the highlight of the hotel. now onto the part that has me writing a review. Things finally settled down a little bit by 11 PM. I went to sleep. I was woken up less than an hour later by at least half a dozen people yelling and slamming doors outside. Then at 2 AM the same thing. Then at 4 AM the same thing. Now it is 5 AM and it seems like there are construction people and other loud people like that outside. I have literally been up all night and I was only here to sleep. I am on a very long drive. there is not a problem with the hotel itself, but the people around you staying here are piles of trash. Absolute garbage. They are so loud and completely inconsiderate of everyone in the hotel. They slam doors and yell all night long. The hotel does nothing to stop this. if you like to sleep, don’t stay here
Negative experience: Booked here for the convenience it has to Hampton Beach & the Price was Good. Just a heads up they "don't accept" online banking cards such as Cashapp, Chime, and PayPal debit/credit cards. In fairness, I DID read the reviews regarding the smell... and it was all true. It's very musky, smells like old water in the rooms. Even with airing it out, the air was thick. Even spraying it down and the window didn't have a screen so we couldn't really keep it open due to bugs. They really need to rip out the carpets ASAP. The rooms are a bit outdated, the towels had some stains on them. The pools were okay and kept clean, however the big bucket was broken along with the water slide and the pool are hours are 10am-7pm unfortunately it closes so early. Didn't make it to the light breakfast because it ended at 930. I don't recommend bringing small children here or people with respiratory issues due to the smell and air quality in the rooms. Would I stay here again? As a last resort.
Positive experience: In my experience the room was clean, the location is great if your not trying to go far for food or drink, with a liquor store around the corner and Master Mcgrath restaurant serving prime rib steak that I rate a 10/10. Along with the fact it’s only a 12 minute drive to Hampton beach, I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a low budget vacation. They also have a pool available to swim and picnic table areas with park style charcoal grills next to them.
Negative experience: room was dirty, stains on sheets so probably wasnt cleaned properly. also when going to leave the room and check out, one of the male house keepers screamed at me and my companion about needinh yo leave right now(even though we were bringing out bags out of the room) and that he was going to call the cops on us for "not leaving" mind you, this is all before our late checkout time. will never, ever get a room here again. horrible horrible costomer service!!!
Negative experience: Would Leave zero if I could. Very unprofessional, rude and disrespectful too women. I've spent a lot of money there.I would rather sleep in my car than go back there again!!!
Negative experience: The room smelled like wet dog. We had to buy air freshener to get rid of the strong smell. Bed was uncomfortable, shower tub was dirty. Walls were paper thin and you could hear the loud street noise. The breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, small cinnamon bites, stale bananas, poached eggs, milk in a fridge and juice/coffee. No yogurt or hot food. Front desk was on a personal call while multiple people were in line. Do not stay here!
Negative experience: Bathroom was dirty looks like toilet not cleaned in years..trash behind the dresser...hot water trickled out not enough fir a shower..ice bucket but no working ice machine e..appeared dried blood on side of mattress ...horrible conditions
Negative experience: To put it mildly, this was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The beds have what appeared to be blood stains. The sheets were stained and possibly not cleaned. The floors were obviously not cleaned. And there was a big pile of something on the floor under the table that resembled puke. No way we could stay in a place like this. No wonder it was not refundable.
Negative experience: Rooms haven't been updated since the 1980s, carpets were gross. One of the worst interstate hotels I've ever stayed at. Don't stop here unless you have no other choice.
Positive experience: Will I stay here for 2 weeks the first week I was in a room that was very nice clean upscale the second week they put me in a crackhead room which was completely out of order
Negative experience: You get what you pay for. Which is basically nothing. The latest check-ins, earliest check-outs. And you get to hear their family stomp around in-between mice visits. Not complaining. I made the choice at the time. Marriott has far better in the surrounding towns, twice the service for half the price. Your continental breakfast here was bought at the local Walmart, and even knowing that, somehow it's disappointing. If you want extended stay in Winter, they have deals that exceed, but they're better Winter options for apartments, only temporary. Picture your cousin buying a hotel. I travel the US frequently, this is worse than a motel 6 20 years ago (the decor matches), but it makes sense with those running it. 3rd world service and expect that.
Negative experience: By far the worst hotel I've ever been in we walked into a room. With the rattyest carpet known to mand kind. the bathroom I had had to clean before I used it we were there two weeks asked them every day for vacuum to be told they would send someone tomorrow tomorrow never came switched rooms to only be told we had to much stuff we had to go down right rude employees rude management yelling at a poor woman's two disabled kids about money there mother owed when I just heard her tell them she was going to bank to get cash no compassion for anyone even if your room is paid you got to much stuff you gotta go never felt so disrespected or down embarrassed that this is what this country has become
Negative experience: Do not stay here if you have another option…the rooms are too old. Just spend $5-10 more and stay somewhere else! The rooms smell damp and smoke infused. This will seep into your clothes if you bring a case into your room. The carpets are old and worn with blood spots on the carpet. Don’t think I need to say more The staff were very helpful and apologetic, offering us a different room (unfortunately they are the all the same)
Negative experience: With the average reviews on this place I figured it was a gamble. Nothing went well here. The shower was disgusting with mold around the drain, the shower head wasn't any better with some kind of sediment in/around it. Hot water lasted maybe 2 minutes maximum then became lukewarm. The mini fridge was disgusting with mold as well. The door coming into the room was gapped so far you could see light from outside and feel the breeze. The lock was so questionable we actually used a chair against it for security. We also had key card issues where neither card was letting us into the room. When I went to the office for help both people At the counter were short and rude, seeming like I was inconveniencing them with the issue. The only positive thing about this travesty of a hotel is it's location. Anything we wanted was no more than 30 minutes away. Avoid this place unless it's either here or a tent.
Negative experience: This is the secret smoking motel. Room smelled like it. Eau de fart. Also someone needs to take a bleach rag to the corners of the bathroom.
Negative experience: This place has really gone downhill. The owners have become blinded by the money they make. On multiple occasions I was double taxed when extending my stay because the desk person couldn't look and see I've had a dog the whole time. Also I've never heard of a $50 pet cleaning fee per night! Especially since in my 6 day stay they never entered to clean, or offered clean linens! I've only ever paid $75 per visit no matter the number of consecutive nights.? Not to mention the rooms are one star only because the one I was in had new carpet. I thought I'd help out by taking the sheets off the bed and cases off the pillows... to my absolute disgust the pillows are yellow instead of white. The shower curtain was yellow and covered with black mold across the bottom. I bought cleaner and rinsed it in the sink!! AND on one entire side of the mattress was a huge blood stain which has to be a health violation! Which I will look into further. They have a lot of rooms what could possibly be wrong with those? I do not recommend staying here.
Negative experience: Unprofessional customer service. The General Manager does not follow up with customer complaints. They profile their customers. So if you are presenting a passport (keep in mind the TSA takes with out questions), be prepared to be asked for a second form of ID. It’s unfortunate how down hill this place has gone.
Negative experience: Just don’t do it. On Priceline it says adults only. Not true at all. It’s not that I don’t care for children but it was a place to relax during a long motorcycle journey and was purposely selected for that reason as well as the pool. The pool was not open either. But it says so in the Priceline site. Also the room was dirty, hadn’t been cleaned completely. The shower had used soap and no toiletries except one bar of soap and a small lotion bottle. There were dead flies as well as live and two of the lamps were inoperable. What was even more aggravating was the blow off from the front desk. She just shrugged her shoulders and said yup it’s closed since last week. And the other issues were met on the phone without a care or offer to rectify any of it. So yeah I wasnt expecting a palace at all but I was expecting a clean room. I also think that Priceline needs to refund when the hotel misrepresents itself. After reading so many reviews of displeasure and mold (I didn’t check the ac’s but I couldn’t stop sneezing so I’m sure I was affected also) and i also immediately checked for bedbugs also as mentioned in another review I feel it’s necessary to call the State and report them and also the BBB and attorney General. If I hadn’t arrived exhausted and with a migraine and almost passing out with heat exhaustion wanting to jump in the pool that was closed to cool down stat, I would have demanded a refund right there. But my health wouldn’t allow it. Calling in the am to all of the above mentioned agencies. Taking guests money for filth needs to be stopped stat.!
Negative experience: Those Indian people in this place treat people like trash, and I'm still waiting for my refund
Negative experience: Stopped there on my way to Maine, I would highly recommend staying away from this place. As soon as I Stepped in the room it smelled terrible, the beds had stains the carpet was ripped up and the area had a drug problem for sure. We went to the front desk to get our money back and while we were waiting to get refunded 2 other family’s came up to get refunds as well. Stay far away!
Negative experience: We have stayed her before and it was nice so we decided for a short trip we would stay again. This time however, the rooms were gross, the staff was slow and rude(but super quick to be knocking on doors well before check out) the breakfast provided was definitely different but better than nothing I guess. The pool and kid area was clean, the grounds were ok. Fairly quiet here. The beds are not at all comfortable. This was a nice place last time we visited, it was a lot cleaner and the staff was much nicer. Sadly we won't return.
Negative experience: Stayed for a few days with extended family spread out between three different rooms - EVERY room smelled BADLY of must. Our room was very unclean. The mattress’s were stained (we checked for bed bugs)- the comforters had cigarette burns in them (in a non-smoking room). The edges of the room seem to have never been vacuumed. Aside from the cleanliness issue it’s important to know that there is an aggressively bright light outside each door that shines thru the window all night long because the (ripped) curtains sit far away from the window- so if you like it really dark at night to sleep it’ll be a problem. Also, staff does not enter your room at all during your stay, so if you need fresh towels you need to collect them and bring them to the front desk to exchange for new ones. There is one tiny trash can for the entire room that fills quickly with a few days stay that you must empty yourself into a bigger trash can outside the building. In our bathroom the toilet handle can be pulled completely off, and stored directly next to our toilet was a plunger kept in a garbage bag (see pics). The television in the room works but is old and very low resolution. The only good things I can add: My kids did like the pools which seem decently clean. It is close by to many things. It is less expensive than other options.
Negative experience: I'm consistently the person that searches for the cleanest, nice, quaint places to stay. In this instance I went against all of that thinking we would try this establishment. NEVER AGAIN. Once given keys we went to check the room before committing. (We overheard other guests complaining.) So we thought it best to check first. It immediately smelled like bleach. The shower was dirty, the bed had stains, the comforter had multiple holes in it. The air conditioner had mold and chips of plaster in it. YUMMY...RIGHT? We immediately left and went to get a refund. Once we got in line 3 other families were in line either complaining or checking out. A couple in front of us was given room keys where the room was already given to someone else. It was just not a good feeling at all. Please stay anywhere else. There are a few reviews that say it's an alright place. I tried to go with that thought and boy I wished I didn't.
Negative experience: Staff was friendly and very helpful, our first room was supposed to be non smoking but the lights and switch plates were nicotine stained. It smelled like an ashtray. When we complained the staff switched rooms and the second room was much better. Not a great room, but definitely better.
Negative experience: DO NOT BOOK HERE. While checking in we heard two people in front of us voicing complaints to staff about uncleanliness of rooms and destroyed furniture inside. We went cautiously to see our room and opened the door on another hotel guest who had been staying in the room for days and wasn’t checking out for two more days. While requesting our refund another guest came back to request a refund claiming their room was filthy and a/c had mold in it. Im generally wary of bad reviews because people love to complain, but I truly would rather sleep in a tent. Unsafe and unsanitary.
Negative experience: The hotel room was a decent size and did have all the amenities that were listed on the website. However the room was not very clean. There was a hole in the wall behind the toilet. The phone didn't work, I had to shove the whole outlet back into the wall. The floor was not vacuumed. Paint chips and dust everywhere. In order to use the microwave you had to unplug something. There were clothes left in drawers. Little to no effort put into cleaning in-between patrons. The have a rule that quiet hours are from 8 pm to 8 am, no body follows that rule. Very loud and I could hear everything through paper thin walls. The pools were amazing, so clean! The playground was also great. Fun fact there are bunnies everywhere at night. All in all I probably won't be returning again.
Negative experience: 0. Had no other option. More than 3x the price that would be commensurate with the experience / amenities. Terrible.
Positive experience: We were skeptical about this property based on reviews but it was within our budget for the area that is high during peak season. We were pleasantly surprised!! 4 (2) story buildings with ample parking. Exterior of buildings, grounds, and 3 pool areas well- maintained. No elevators. Pool towels provided. Adults stay off the water slide!! Continental breakfast available daily with efficient attendant present. Guests gluttonous, treating this as if this is their only meal of the day. Room interiors clean enough. Linen and towels clean and stain free. Refrigerator and microwave present. Carpet edging around furniture and baseboards could use some extra attention. Housekeeping is doing the best they can with high volume to quickly turn rooms. Individual air conditioners are awkwardly located. Needed to stand on a chair to access controls. Window coverings are in need of replacement. Guests are inconsiderate and smoke/ vape on balconies which draws smoke into the rooms. Guests please use the many dedicated smoking areas!! Ice and vending machines available. Playground for the little ones. Management is stern with check in and check out times and other rules that are well posted. Abide by them and you will enjoy your stay! We would stay here again if the opportunity arises.
Negative experience: Honestly, one star is too many. My reservation was booked ahead as I was traveling 1700 miles. My card was charged morning of for the "room hold." Which was peace mind knowing everything was all set. After 14 hours of travel and arriving at 12:30am I went to check into my room, but was denied because they don't accept my debit cards bank. (Chime) Yes, the EXACT card that had already been charged $162. They also said they couldn't accept the 2nd card I provided either! Trying to navigate an unknown town and figure out another option at 1am on a holiday weekend was a nightmare. I've requested a refund for obvious reasons but its not been returned to me yet. Regardless it cost me so much more between new hotel costs, a taxi, and 100 mosquito bites. This experience has been absolutely defeating. If they are able to process a payment on a card, they should be able to use it.
Negative experience: Over priced, musty unvacuumed rooms, unhelpful attendants, minimal breakfast, had no coffee at 8am and didn't know how to make more. No chance of coming back
Negative experience: BEWARE THE MOLD! Seriously, check the air conditioner when you get into the room and if it smells musty at all, (especially rm 129) DONT STAY THERE! I ignored the negative reviews of this place, and it was truly awful. The room smelled like mold and dust when we first arrived, and after calling the front desk about it, we were given a vacuum to clean our own floors! After we did the best we could to clean, we still couldn't get rid of the moldy smell, and only on our second day did we find how caked in mold the air conditioner was! We headed for the front desk, and were told we could get our room switched. We were told the manager had checked another room and that we could stay there instead. When we headed there, we found a room with a hastily wiped down air conditioner and such a strong smell of bleach that we felt nauseous and had to leave. When they offered no other rooms, we decided to cut our loses and switch hotels for the night. We ended up getting only a 20% refund from the over $100 we paid, but we were just glad to be anywhere else. NOT WORTH THE PRICE, GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
Negative experience: Photos WILL SAY EVERYTHING. People say some reviews aren't true... LOOK for YOURSELF!! The main attraction I came for and figured I paid for WAS A WASTE!!! SO DEF NOT WORTH the price I paid thru Priceline at $129. SHOWER IS HOT!! costumer service was great. Shower still had someone else's soap left in it tho. Pool is empty and other is a swamp!!! Does have a playground seems nice but is down a hill. Just saying.
Positive experience: You get what you pay for not bad over all honestly if the wifi could have reached the room would have been better
Negative experience: Filty, massive flood damage to room that was never addressed, vending machines don't work ice machines don't work, wayyyyyy over priced, paint pealing in room smells like an ashtray, first room smelled like pot, bedding is trash, full of cigarette burns on all surfaces, leaking faucets outdated everything. 0 out of 5 stars. I've stayed at 25$ a night hotels that were substantially nicer. Don't recommend to anyone.
Positive experience: Rooms are nice and clean, free continental breakfast. Boil eggs only on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. ( After that, they will say ohh boill eggs are finished I don't know when they will show up to bring stocks )
Negative experience: Some what clean, comfortable beds but not all rooms have the same beds. Free breakfast every morning. Convenient if traveling, it's right off Interstate 95.
Positive experience: Great place to stay for cheap money. It's a bit dated, but clean and great bed very comfortable. With tax under $80, good sleep and hot shower
Negative experience: The staff is polite; however, the room was not clean. The sheet had a cigarette burn on it and the room smelled of cigarettes and stale air. Non smoking room. Coffee pot was broken. Paint peeling. Carpet dirty. I paid $172.00 for one night and expected at least a clean room.
Negative experience: Very dusty room and bathroom. Dirtiest carpets i ever seen. Under bed looks like its never cleaned. Dusty bed sheets. I would NOT recommend this hotel/motel at all. Too bad because it could look very nice if they took care of it
Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend unless you "need" a place to hunker down for the night.
Positive experience: Polite staff, make you feel at home. Good breakfast, better than most since the covid definitely. Nice property and location. Nice size rooms, and they don't charge anything extra for the double beds like most hotels do now. I very much like that you just have to give your card to have on file and they don't put a hold on your card for a deposit like most hotels do now. All things considered, one of my top choices to stay.
Negative experience: Disgusting...smelled musky. Old cheerios and candy wrappers underneath the desk. Fruitloops and others along floor of the bed. Room was clearly not vacuumed. Bathroom was so gross that me, my husband nor my 3 year old could shower or bathe. I would rather pay an extra$50 and stay at a 4 star hotel
Negative experience: The people who worked there was nice. As for the room.... It had a foul musty oder as if you walked into an very old house. The bed: Sheets blankets and pillow cases were clean. When my husband pulled up the blankets up to cover up you could see a huge stain that looked like dried up puke on the box spring. The bathroom: towels and face cloths were also clean. My husband and I would not dare to take a shower due to how dirty the bathroom was. Red residue that looked like blood on the tub walls, black finger prints on the tub walls as well hair also. Floors: looked like they weren't vacuumed. There was candy and cereal in the corners of the room and around the bed on the floor. We only stayed for 10 hours, long enough to sleep. We had our 3 year old daughter with us who I didn't dare let off the bed to play. It was not worth the $172.00 for 10hrs if you asked me. Feels like we were ripped off for that ridiculous price.
Negative experience: Horrible smell that made my husband sick!!!! We literally felt UNSAFE as we had to sleep with door open for fresh air!! Was filthy and hot water took over 5 min!!!! Toilet was loose wiggling all around!! We may of slept for an hour and left at 5 am as we could not take the smell anymore!! WORST I have ever stayed in!!!
Negative experience: We came in at night.woke up in the morning and the room was very dirty, had cobwebs on the walls and back of bathroom door.would not stay there again
Negative experience: Gross!!! The shower hadn't been cleaned, the bedding dirty, the carpet torn up & stained by God knows what, the toilet seat didn't even match! Very ghetto! Thank God we only stayed one night! You'd be better off sleeping in your car!
Negative experience: Nasty not clean toilet dirty as well as floor sink n shower also coffee maker. Wouldn't give extra towels. Should probably get a refund for being so dirty. Tip was still left from previous tenant.
Negative experience: Room was in disrepair paint chipping away, many patches in the wall, DEADBOLT WAS BROKEN!! No locking our door, bathroom toilet barely flushes, housekeeping skipped our room all in all don't recommend it
Negative experience: Had a room reserved paid over the phone with my card, next day I drove 2 hours away to get there and when we got there and handed him my debit card they then told me they don't accept my bank even though they already accepted my payment over the phone . And wouldn't let us stay there .
Negative experience: Price was $215 which in season I guess is normal. We were given room 177 bldg 1b 2nd floor. The wooden stairway was tracherous and on verge of collapse. Leaning almost fell 2 twice. The room smelled of mold. The sheets smelled. Bathroom was clean. 12 midnight people outside room yelling fighting. Asked them to plz stop. This went on till 2am. . TV cord taken out we had to fix. Bad night sleep. We woke up to find the treacherous stairway had now been closed off before collapse. I notified front desk of horrible room. . people yelling fighting in front of room . Just overall bad experience. The guy said the people were removed 2am. And smiled when I said the room was a dump and the stairs were ready to fall off. I almost fell 2 times. He acknowledged me with a thank you and walked away. We met with others checking out to find the same exists in other rooms mold smell. Old. Dumpy. For 215 dollars you are better to sleep in your car or road. This place was the worst. Ever
Negative experience: Bugs in the bed! Showed a video of the bugs crawling in our bed to the front desk and they said we should have checked for bugs at check in and they wouldn't issue a refund since we brought it to their attention the next morning. And they said even if we brought it up to them at night they would have just switched rooms; if theres bugs in one theres going to be bugs in others. There were no managers or supervisors to talk to, only one manager Patel and they weren't there or on call. They also blamed us for flies if our door was open this is not a fly it was a creepy crawling bug on our pillow my poor son couldn't sleep all night! I never leave bad reviews and don't want this to ruin our wekend at the Beach but please do not let your kids stay here. If these bugs come home with us on our clothes or stuffed animals I'm gonna be soooo upset.
Positive experience: Great service, comfortable rooms. The grounds are kept up with and the pools were fun. They exceeded my expectations, would recommend!
Negative experience: Trashy no stay over maid service , and the staff was very rude to everyone I saw them interact with, I paid 400 bucks and they couldn't even leave fresh towels and replenish the coffee supplies !! Men cat calling me and my 16 yr old from to other side of the motel and then knocking on our door don't stay here unless you can't find. A Walmart to buy a tent camping would be better then this
Positive experience: Rooms were average but clean. The beds were comfy and clean. The pools for kids were nice. I felt safe and comfortable here. I read a lot of bad reviews for here but don’t feel they were accurate for our stay. We have three young children and felt good about having them here. It’s close to food and shops and an ok distance from the beach. Quiet and pleasant experience. Staff was very kind.
Negative experience: Disrespect from the other guest my husband and I got about two hours of sleep the second floor guest sounded like a heard of elephant's and others stood in front of our door and yelled for other guest We put on the ac to try to drown out the noise and that didn't even work
Negative experience: There were10 people displaced last night at a Salisbury fire at the Dunes Motel. The Red Cross came on scene To help with a financial donation. Upon arriving to the hotel they were told that the hotel would not help because the cards we had were a scam They were kick out of the hotel. The lady refuse to answer any questions and slam the window in the face of a woman When the Red Cross called the hotel they were told there was no rooms available The manager of The Dunes paid for everyone's room so we had a place to sleep for the night I hope karma comes to them and maybe they will learn to not turn people away after telling them there were rooms available
Negative experience: Room was clean, make no mistake. But stay FAR AWAY from this place! Loud, obnoxious guests blasting rap music and shooting off fireworks all night! I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'd have been better off sleeping in the car off the highway!
Negative experience: Bathroom was dirty. Shower had no pressure. Not worth the weekend cost.
Negative experience: I don’t recommend staying here whatsoever, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was filthy and the sheets had piss stains. I kindly asked them to either clean the room or let me switch it to another room. They refused to do either, and when I requested a refund they would not. The women that was managing was very unkind to me, she didn’t do anything to try to accommodate me. She also said very disrespectful things about me to the other staff members when I finally gave up and walked out the main office.
Negative experience: I had a 3 month old son and a 7 month as well. And we had to sit outside from 10 am to 4 pm. We couldn’t even sit in the lobby to keep the kids from the heat. I am disgusting with the wait time as well as how they teated me and my family. I would never spend my money here again the only good thing was the maintenance they help us out.
Positive experience: I stayed in 3 separate rooms over several days. I'll start by saying the staff is friendly and the sheets and towels were always clean. The TV, fridge, electricity, and hot water work. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are secure. However this place is in major need of renovation. The rooms have a strong smell of stale cigarettes despite no-smoking signs everywhere. The cleaning could be a lot better. There is aged grime in every corner. The carpet is old and filthy and needs to be replaced. The furniture is in various states of disrepair. Overall, I'd say the rooms are cheap and acceptable if you're in a pinch. You kinda get what you pay for. I wouldn't want to stay here with kids.
Negative experience: Terrible. Room smelled rank, WIFI was spotty and cut out at certain points, and the floor of the bathroom was a nasty carpet. Couldn't turn the light on in the room of the toilet without waking everyone up because it also turned on the fan. Only stay here if nothing else is open.
Positive experience: Looks amazing on the outside. Insides not the greatest but manageable. I'd stay again but only if I had to. The to go baggie for breakfast was nice
Positive experience: The rooms were clean and the towel & trash services were punctual. Staff was nice and helpful. The amenities I saw didn’t list a microwave in the room but they do have small ones in each room. I would stay there again.
Positive experience: Not as bad as we thought it would be. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, hard as a rock. Bathroom fan when turning on the light was obnoxiously loud. In the end, it's a motel. It served its purpose.
Negative experience: Room was dirty starting with the carpet, so dirty you couldn't walk barefoot you have to keep your shoes on. The refrigerator had mold along the door. The sink was dirty. They need to hire a private cleaning company to thoroughly clean. I'm done
Negative experience: Before booking a stay at the seabrook I read some of the reviews and thought many may have been over exaggerating. Immediately when I arrived at the Inn I could tell many of the poor reviews were justified. This place is absolutely disgusting. Our room smelled so strong of stale cigarettes you could taste it in your mouth. We had to buy air-fresheners at the local gas station to try and mask the smell. The floor was so gross we didn't even take our shoes off, there was mold all over the bathroom and some of the bed sheets were slightly wet. The fact that this place can charge 150-200 a night blows my mind. If you are considering booking a stay at the seabrook DON'T. Spend the extra 50-100 dollars and stay at the best western down the street.
Negative experience: Place are in nice and good location, Rooms are in poor condition, dust under the bed, sinks and toilets not working properly, bathroom has mold, and a/c filter are dirty, i will give less than one star for this property and for the $ , it ridiculous
Negative experience: Just went there 2 weeks ago!! The 1st room as we walked in smelled like mold and mildew, so They let us stay in another room, 1st there was 1/4 roll of toilet paper, so they gave us more, 2) Sink was clogged , water would NOT go down, 3) Ac worked great except it got to SO cold we put the heat on It WOULD NOT WORK We did exactly like the worker said to do Turn the plug upside down witch we did Pressed every single button 5 times and still NO HEAT!! 4) TO get warm in the bathroom , put on the space heater, Right away my asthma started acted up because there was SO MUCH dirt and dust under it It looked like NO ONE cleaned it for 3 years!! When we complained in the office There reply was You should of asked for another room!!!!! UNBELIAVABLE!!!!!!! I don't even think they deserve 1 star but if you don't select at least 1 star IT will not post!!
Negative experience: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I actually had a blast staying here but unfortunately the rude staff with poor customer service ruined my stay. Upon check-in there was dog food scattered around the floor and the toilet paper holder was broken with the toilet paper just on the back of the toilet. Not to mention the poilet paper was not even new, it was left from the previous people. When I called the desk they told me maintenance was closed and there was nothing they could do about it. I shrugged it off but at check out I mentioned it again and they said you should have said something at check in. When I explained what happened, they said oh well there's nothing they could do. I won't be staying here again.
Negative experience: Dirtiest motel room I have ever stayed in. Everything very outdated, floor heavily stained. Trash left behind nightstand from past visitors The filth in the corner by the light was awful. Would not recommend for the price it cost.
Negative experience: Learned my lesson in trying to plan a last second trip to the wal mart of beaches. You get what you pay for! Set your expectations exceptionally low; this hotel could use some SERIOUS TLC. It’s extremely outdated and absolutely violates health codes. The carpets can probably tell you more than the staff about the place! I never took my flip flops off, definitely not in the shower. Bring your own towels and bedding!! I just felt gross the whole time. There’s a first and most definitely a last for everything! I wouldn’t recommend but if you’re in a jam, you gotta do what ya gotta do. Enjoy
Fantastic experience: Love this place we came with our parents when we where kids. Now i bring my kids and my grandson
Negative experience: Seabrook Inn is the most disgusting place I've ever stayed at; filthy, nasty, possible bed bugs (my husband woke up with bites on his neck), the lock was broken and look at their fire protection, a friggin hose. I have plenty of pictures.
Positive experience: Good place for kids. I wanna bring my granddaughter here.
Negative experience: Was informed by staff when I was locked out of my room because key card wouldn’t work as long as they didn’t find what they did last time ( a dead body) oh great! Rooms had pubic hair all over the bed and bathroom. Never got clean towels asked mutliple times. Amnesties we’re not the same as listed on website. Do not stay here !
Positive experience: Not sure what all the bad reviews were about, almost scared our party of 10 off, we ended up staying here - 2nd floor of the main building, room 132, 134, 136 - all were clean & tidy with no trace of smoke or anything. Decor is a bit dated, but I'm paying for a bed and some basic amenities, not updated decor. Breakfast might have been included, didn't bother to check to be honest, there's an awesome diner just down the road a bit (Jimmy K's) and a fantastic Irish pub/restaurant across the street (Master McGraths). With all there is to see and do near Seabrook I didn't spend much time at the hotel, but the time I did spend there (Mostly at night) was quiet, calm and clean. Thanks for the great stay!
Negative experience: DON'T GO! GROSS! Broke toilet, bugs, blood on the walls, filthy, stains on floor. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!!
Fantastic experience: I have NO idea why so many people left such poor reviews. We are on our second night there right now and really like it. Very comfortable air conditioned room with a large bed (6 pillows wooo hooo), mini fridge, coffee maker, iron, microwave, big screen TV… everything is clean… just a very nice hotel. I think people just like to complain. ♀️
Positive experience: I see all these bad reviews about the hotel, but I’m not sure where they were or what room or anybting. I was on the second floor of the second building. Checkout was a tiny bit long but nothing too long and once we got to the room we smelled what smelt like cigarette smoke. Second layer the smell went away and everything else went very smoothly. The tv has a lot of channels and was coming in good. The. Beds were clean and super comfortable. The shower had really good flow and pressure. The towels were perfect. And overall the room was great. Check out was super fast and everything else went smooth. My only complain would be the fact the pool doesn’t open until 10 AM and then closed at only 7 PM and the fact we did smell smoke for some reason at first. Overall a solid hotel that I’d come back to
Negative experience: Comically bad hospitality. Will be shut down within the year. Hotels like this should be on the news. Accommodating to the crackheads in the area, specifically told us that the property is not kid friendly. My family has been coming here 30 years with 3 generations of children. Mind you there is a 2ft deep kitty pool, water slides and playground all on site. Please help us spread awareness about this unbelievable “business”.
Negative experience: Rude owners and a dirty hotel. We were kicked out because our kids were riding scooters by the pool. Ridiculous!
Negative experience: Used to be good. Now it's terrible. Features and amenities they have listed on their website aren't actually available (breakfast, arcade, Freddy the frog slide) The swing set is broken which apparently "broke today" ,if you try to tell them the OWNER/MANAGER says "you lie, you lie" Found food from the previous guest in the microwave. Absolutely DISGUSTING! It stunk up the whole room. I mean just imagine how much cleaning they actually do in between guests. ZERO. All they had to say was "oh wow" stay far away from this place. Would rate a zero star if I could. Checking out early and going to take an acid bath.
Negative experience: I haven’t stayed here and from what I hear I wouldn’t. This once family friendly hotel has turned into a disaster. They need to update their company website that the previous owners developed because there is a lot of false advertisement. A lot of the things they once had to entertain the kids are no longer there. They also treat their employees very badly. The previous owners took pride in their hotel. These owners take pride in their money they make by pretending the be the great hotel it once was. Save your money and find another hotel. A campground tent would be better to stay in.
Negative experience: This hotel is filthy. I don’t want to even leave a one star review because it isn’t even worth that. There were holes in the walls, water stains and exposed Sheetrock screws in the ceiling and dust and debris in, on, around and behind the furniture and baseboards. The bathroom had a literal crud covered shower head, mold/mildew along the rim of the bathtub and grime on the floor of the tub. We should have slept in the car. We got to experience this for the bargain basement price of $200 - - an egregious sum for the disgusting accommodations.
Negative experience: Disgusting rooms. I’m not sure how they can rent rooms at this place. There were stains on the walls, rug, ceiling, pretty much anywhere you look. There was even a spider in my bed. Never again.
Negative experience: We booked this hotel yesterday morning after seeing that it would be about $140 total with fees, and the rating of the hotel was decent enough. We were not able to check in until very late, about 2 AM. After a long night we were ready to relax and sleep. The check-in process was very long and arduous with several papers that needed to be signed and a piece of paper that we had to put in our vehicle which stated that if our vehicle was damaged in any way that it wasn’t the hotel’s responsibility. There was also another woman in line acting very shaky and strange; she was going back-and-forth between the ATM trying to gather up enough money for herself to be able to stay the night. We get to our room and when we open it, an immediate smell of old animal pee and smoke hit us hard. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Strike 1. Strike 2 was that the temperature control did not work in our room at all. It was chilly that night and I wanted a little bit of heat. Nothing worked. The rest of the strikes are as follows and I have pictures… filthy stained carpets, a broken lock on the door which is another safety issue, dust and grime all over everything, debris on the floor, also the sizing of the pillows was terribly small as you can see in comparison to my hand, a missing dresser drawer (so who knows what happened there), a lamp held together with tape, a piece of black dirt came off of the toilet seat, a cigarette burn on the comforter…I’m sure we could go on. It just got worse and worse the more things we found and experienced. There were also loud and creepy people outside this place, at times making loud noises and at one point even playing around and banging something on our door. The vibe of this place and the creeps outside really made us wonder now about why this hotel would make us put a note about damage not being the hotel’s responsibility in our car window. We are feeling lucky that nothing happened to our car. We are in the process of requesting a full refund of our money. Obviously the only reason we ended up even daring to stay there last night was because we knew there would be no other options at 2 AM in the morning at that point. Honestly, if we felt a little safer in that area, we probably would’ve just slept in our car instead. This hotel needs to be inspected and shut down by OSHA or whatever appropriate authority handles safety concerns in this area. This is honestly a safety and health issue, especially with a pandemic going on right now. If they can’t even clean their rooms at all, then how can this hotel be expected to be safe from Covid, and safe from other harmful things like mold and other diseases? Just horrible, and the AUDACITY to ask for $140 for this? Wow.
Fantastic experience: Let's start this off with the obvious, the place needs a major renovation. But the staff is friendly, room was clean, shower was hot and the bed was comfortable.
Positive experience: Linens were clean and service at the front desk was quick. But... They didn’t mention that the continental breakfast was closed when I booked the room or when I checked in. I stayed two nights to give it a fair shot but my nonsmoking room smelled smoky and there were noise disturbances late both nights until about 11:30 and one night after midnight. (Sunday and Monday night.) Plus the deadbolt was missing and one half of the clothes rack was gone. Overall can’t recommend it.
