Fantastic experience: We had a blast on the half-day Browns Canyon trip with Jake! He's a super experienced raft guide, great communicator, and just really cool dude we'd kick it with anywhere. The water was low since it was mid-August, but we still had a good time - just know that if you want crazy big rapids, you should book in June or July when there's peak snow melt. Also try to stay in Buena Vista at one of the hot springs resorts (Cottonwood or Mt. Princeton). BV is an awesome town, and our biggest regret of the trip was that we'd booked non-refundable lodging in Breck before TAC got on our itinerary so we had to mosey on north after rafting, when we would've much rather stuck around BV and soaked in the hot springs. Next time!

Fantastic experience: We had so much fun rafting with the Adventure Company. This is our kid's experience rafting, we did a full day rafting at Browns Canyon National Monument, and they loved it. Our guide Cortland interacted well with the kiddos, age 14 and 9. He explained everything very well from safety to the rafting trip itself, provided a step by step instruction to navigate the rapids, showed us the 2 nice spots to do a dive and provided us with a good fajita lunch. Thank you for a great adventure!! Highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: We had such a great time rafting down Browns Canyon in late season. The water was low and we past a number of fellow raft groups that were stuck on the treacherous rocks exposed. Our guide, Courtland, was an expert at navigating this river and we had no problems since everyone did their parts paddling when needed. Thank you Adventure company for such a memorable experience, I cant wait to come back with more friends next summer!

Fantastic experience: We went on a full day trip through Browns Canyon with Jake. Awesome experience! Jake made us all feel comfortable and safe on our trip and did an excellent job of navigating our way down the river. Due to the water being lower this time of year there were a great deal of rocks to make our way around. I was honestly very impressed on how easily he got us through some very tight passages. We also had a great lunch of fajitas, made by Jake, on the side of the river. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Just completed a raft trip down the Arkansas river in Buena Vista Colorado. We floated through Browns Canyon with the The Adventure Company outfitters and it was extremely beautiful and fun and just a blast all around. The water was really low, but the guides did an awesome job making it fun for our family group of thirteen. We had an awesome time and all of our guides were fantastic! Shae, Simon, Free and Kaylee were all very professional, friendly and experienced. Our guide Free Thrower was great and told us the geologic history of the area as well as his original first time jokes. lol. Would recommend this company and their people very highly!

Fantastic experience: Our river guide, Free, made us feel safe, and the Milk Run was the perfect beginner run. The safety talk made us feel a little anxious at first haha and it was a little bit more of a workout than I expected (I pretty much thought it would be more of a lazy river float vibe for the milk run), but it was so fun and beautiful with the perfect amount of excitement for the whole family ❤️

Fantastic experience: I went rafting with a few friends this past Monday and we had a fantastic time! We did the full day rafting trip and enjoyed every second! It wasn't too busy on a Monday, so my friends and I were the only people on the boat with the guide, so it felt like a very personal experience. Our guide Myranda was absolutely phenomenal! She knew a lot about the river and other attractions in the area. She was great at describing what we were about to do and how to best prepare. Lunch was fajitas which were really good, and we were able to swim in a few different spots along the river. TAC also has jackets you can wear in case if it is cold, and GoPro helmets which you can mount your GoPro to, so I really appreciated that attention to detail on their part to have those things! I've gone white water rafting in a few different places in Colorado, but this one was by far the best and I highly recommend.

We decided to do the full day browns canyon and the trip didn’t disappoint. The fajita lunch on a nice little pull off was great! We got to experience a private trip with just the 3 in our group that morning! Myranda made it really fun and I felt super safe the whole time! This is my second trip through this company and I will continue to use them everytime!

Fantastic experience: We booked the 3 hour private white water rafting excursion for Browns Canyon this weekend for a bachelor party. Such an awesome experience, insanely beautiful and a good mix of fun with a challenge. Jake and Jess were the best guides! Would definitely recommend booking with the Adventure Company.

Fantastic experience: We went in our first rafting adventure yesterday with Tom in Buena Vista CO. And it was great! Can’t wait to do It again! The tour leader Corey was great too. Funny and informative. And the Browns canyon is stunning! Rafting is an awesome way to see it!

Fantastic experience: We love rafting with The Adventure Company! Highly recommend the Pumphouse Run if you have smaller kids (was great when our youngest was ~5 years old). Most recently we did the Brown’s Canyon full day which was great now that our youngest is 8. The whole family had fun! Zach and Miranda were fun, friendly and very experienced. Next time we’re back in Breck we’ll be rafting with TAC again!

Fantastic experience: Five-star experience on July 25th! I and a big ol bunch of family went out on a half day trip. Zac was the guide in my raft, and my family members and I all agreed that he did a fantastic job. Knowledge about the area, great communication, fun personality, and a wealth of experience made him a fantastic host for the seven of us. We had a blast in the rapids as well. Would gladly choose TAC and Zac again!

Fantastic experience: Good times with beautiful scenery. Took the 8a.m. trip and we're lucky/glad to more or less have an otherwise crowded river to ourselves. Getting wet was a welcomed refreshing gift.

Fantastic experience: If you are considering white water rafting, absolutely use The Adventure Company! There were 3 of us that had never been and we had Free as our guide. We can’t express how great he was, making sure we knew what we were doing, making us feel safe and having a blast doing it. He was very knowledgeable about the Browns Canyon area and made sure we took some time to take in the views. We are so excited we did this and will definitely come back again!

Fantastic experience: Went white water rafting for the first time today with my family and significant others, and before it was even over we all agreed it definitely wasn’t our last time. Our guide Tom was extremely knowledgeable about rafting, as well as friendly and focused the entire time. He also had lots of knowledge of the area and great tips about local food and things, would definitely recommend TAC and come back next time I get the chance.

Fantastic experience: Grayson was our guide and he is excellent. Told us about the area, what to expect on the next rush of rapids and what to do. We had a blast and loved that this company wasn’t like the giant and commercialized ones that are pushing tons of people thru. Our experience was much more personalized and we loved it! Fantastic experience: We had a blast! Our guide Simon was so helpful as I had two replaced knees and moved a little stiffly. We wanted to take our 8 year old grandson on his first rafting trip. Simon helped us get in the raft and out of the raft. He pointed out wildlife along the river and told stories of the area. We left a nice tip for him at the office because he helped make this trip possible.

Fantastic experience: We booked 1/2 day Brown's Canyon 8 am trip for 3 adults, for my mom's 60th birthday. We had Tom as our guide and Jason driving us there and picking us up, and they were amazing! 10/10 would raft with Tom again! My mom was very nervous, her first time doing this, and ended up having a blast. I highly recommend waking up for the 8 am trip. We had the canyon practically to ourselves, it was so peaceful. Photographer also did a great job, thank you for the awesome shots!

Fantastic experience: Great time on the river with Jess and Courtland for my friend’s bachelor party. Both guides did a great job getting us prepared ahead of the trip with safety equipment and a safety briefing. They were great at giving instructions and guidance on the river while sharing fun stories about the area and the river. Ginger was the best and most prompt bus driver I’ve ever seen. Absolute legend that guy! We booked the trip through Liv and the entire process was smooth and seamless. The team at The Adventure Company was great all around. Highly recommend!

He was easy going, humorous and very knowledgeable about the area which helped to make my granddaughters’ (ages 6 and 7) first river raft trip memorable. Fantastic experience: This was my first time white water rafting and I had the time of my life!! I cannot wait to go again. Mitch, our guide, was amazing. If I had a choice he would be our guide every time. If you are looking to book, I highly suggest going at 8am. We were the only ones on the river. Company provided wet suits, wet suit shoes, jacket, life vest, helmet with go pro attachment. Thanks so much for the experience!!

Fantastic experience: Our guide, Tom, was amazing! He was knowledgeable and made us feel safe. The wetsuits were free and a great recommendation since the water was freezing. It was such a fun experience, though. Our friends, my boyfriend, his 13 year old son, and I had a great adventure on the Browns Canyon Intermediate tour. This is perfect for any beginner, but you do want to be in at least decent physical condition. We had a very athletic and strong group, so we did finish an hour early. We had to wait quite a while for the bus to arrive to pick us up because of this. I would recommend them making it easier to remember and find a way to tip our guide, though. We weren't aware to leave tips at the desk when we were there. This isn't a bad tour to take children on. It's recommended ages 6 and up, but I think maybe more like 9 and up. You must be at least 13 to participate. The guide was great about having my boyfriend's son sit next to him in the back where he would be the safest.

Fantastic experience: We had Craig as a guide and he made us feel safe and secure. His safety tips were so efficient and applicable for our ride. He kept us laughing and allowed us to really experience the rapids! Highly recommend choosing Adventure Co!

Fantastic experience: This was our 4th trip white water rafting and first time we’ve said “We’ll be back!” Cory led us through some of the best rapids we’ve seen and by far the most instructive guide we’ve had. With Simon and Mitch alongside us ready for action and Xavier’s easy driving, we felt safe, excited, and ready to concur the numbers!

Fantastic experience: My co-worker Deanne and I, from Swan Mountain Resort, went to The Adventure Company today to go white water rafting! It was a really fun experience and everyone with the company was so friendly and accommodating! We enjoyed a great lunch prior to getting on the bus to head to the river. Our guide Mitch was awesome and he prepared us for all the "rough spots" of our Class lll route. The scenery is so beautiful and the water was raging from huge snow melt!!! We were all in wet suits today because it was cloudy and 52 degrees on June 19th, 2024! There are many rafting companies to choose from here in Colorado, but I highly recommend going to The Adventure Company in Buena Vista - IF you really want a fantastic and memorable Adventure!! The photographer took great pictures of us too! Call and ask for Mary to book your trip while the river water is UP! Diane : )

We came early this year in the season and the water was higher, faster and all around more exciting experience! Highly recommend this team and this company!

Fantastic experience: Man did we have a blast yesterday river rafting for Father’s Day! I asked to go rafting as my gift, and we took our two young boys (11 and 8) along with the rest of the family. What a friendly, stress-free operation! Eli and her compatriots at the front desk were happy, helpful and professional. I started with a reservation for 4 and then added two separately a few hours later; Eli called me, made sure we were the same group, and put us all together - that might seem a small task, but the fact that she did it sets her apart from your typical clerk behind a counter. Our guide, Free, was a riot - just as happy and as funny as can be. And yet, standing by the river (where levels are higher than they’ve been in over a decade), he was absolutely serious and professional. As a retired Army officer, I can appreciate levity in stressful situations (it helps the nervous ones ease up), but when it comes down to the actual event at hand, you have to take safety seriously. Free embodied that concept perfectly. We had a great ride, the kids had a field day, and we couldn’t be happier. Well done, everyone!

Fantastic experience: Where to even begin! I read A LOT of reviews before settling on this rafting company and I was not disappointed Due to river conditions we weren’t able to run the Numbers trip so they were able to accommodate my boyfriend and I on the Brown’s Canyon 1/2 day trip for the same day and it did not disappoint! The company is really well-organized while still being super laidback. Corey did an absolutely amazing job wrangling everyone and kept me in stitches laughing even during the serious/scary safety stuff. We were so fortunate to have Lindsay as our main guide. I’ve only been on one river trip before so I was a little nervous. She was super knowledgeable and funny and did an excellent job with giving us all the information and instruction we needed in a direct manner while also maintaining the Type 2 fun that comes with river activities. We had an absolute blast and really appreciate the expertise it takes to guide. Absolutely we will be back… And probably again, and again, and again!

Fantastic experience: I went with my group from work. It was my first time and I was really nervous but excited. Free was our guide and he was OUTSTANDING! He guided us through and made us work for it, but also showed us some amazing sights. He is very knowledgeable and it's obvious he loves what he does.

Fantastic experience: We floated the Numbers full day trip on June 6th 2024 at HIGH WATER! The Adventure Company is the BEST in the business. There are a lot of companies to choose from, but TAC is by far the BEST! Their professionalism is unmatched and they take care to make you feel comfortable from start to finish. Kotty was an amazing guide and knows the river very well! Corey wasn't our guide, but is hilarious and made the bus ride to the drop off enjoyable. The kayaker(I forget his name) is a great asset to the company as well. We will never go with another company again.

Fantastic experience: 6/2/2024, our family of four went on the full-day, 17-mile trek through the "Numbers" led by our truly excellent guide, Corey. (I don't know if you can specifically request guides, but Corey is the real deal!) He is a skilled guide, knowledgeable, and with a good sense of humor--exactly what you want. The flow rate for the river was about 1550cfs for our trip, so a healthy class IV rating. Corey, being more experienced and ex-military, took a little more time explaining safety and technique, but we appreciated it and felt super confident at all times on the water--even when things got a bit intense. We got a visceral reminder of why that is important just a few minutes into our trek, when we encountered a raft of another company (which will not be named) tightly pinned against a rock and all the occupants, who were thrown into the river, having swum or were pulled to shore. (Everyone was ok, although a few got slightly banged up.) Checking in on this incident, Corey offered our raft's assistance (which wasn't needed) while also skillfully guiding us through the same rapid. I'm not going to speak ill of anyone, but The Adventure Company's guides are *top-notch*. Following that, it was lots of fun. Bumps, splashes, roller-coaster waves, great lunch, etc. We even tried our hand at "surfing" the standing waves in Buena Vista's whitewater park. It was a fantastic day. We did the full-day Brown's Canyon trip with The Adventure Company last year. It was also awesomely great. If you're looking for a fun day on the water, I could not recommend Corey and The Adventure Company more.

Fantastic experience: Everything about our experience with The Adventure Company make me want to return soon! The staff helped us select an ideal family trip through Brown's Canyon. Our guide, Kotti, was outstanding: professional, experienced, and engaged throughout a great day on the river. TAC's gear is in great shape, lunch was delicious, and a hot shower on site at the day's end was really welcome. Great time!

Fantastic experience: Awesome trip! Our second time, first time we did milk run when the kids were younger… this time they were the perfect age for Browns Canyon (9 and 11) - Free Thrower was an awesome and knowledgeable guide and he taught us so well that we caught on pretty quickly - no mishaps just lots of fun!

Fantastic experience: We went on an intermediate rafting trip and Lindsey was our guide. This was a girl’s trip for us and we had an AMAZING time! Lindsey was so awesome. Gave us clear and concise instructions on the do’s and dont’s with what we needed to do to be safe but while still having fun. If you ever get a chance to take one of these tours ask for Lindsey as your guide you won’t regret it! Can’t wait to visit again…THANK YOU Lindsey…from the lean back girls!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I rented out the adventure company's house for our wedding party in 2019. Then rafted with them before the wedding. We were impressed with not only the cleanliness of the house but the thorough safety review prior to starting the rafting trip.

Fantastic experience: Such a great experience! Our kids’ first time white water rafting (age 7 and 9) and they loved it! Adventurous enough for all of us, but not too scary for the youngest.

Fantastic experience: The adventure company is a small ish business with a great home town feel. Please support this company. I’ve been to a few places in Buena Vista and I’d choose this crew over and over again. Shayna, Valdez, and Squirrel were phenomenal. My friend and I were blown away by the fun we had over the course of 3.5 hours. Definitely will be back and so should you!

Fantastic experience: Great adventure, we did a rafting tour with our kids. They still talk about it and want to go back for bigger rapids. Ross was our guide and he did a great job - navigating and motivating everyone in the boat and telling interesting facts about the area.
