Negative experience: An agent told me I couldn’t exchange British pounds, as I had not bought them through AAA. As a longtime AAA member, I thought I deserved a rationale for the policy. Nope. Gobbledegook was all I got. Classic.

Negative experience: I have never had such a hard time reaching an agent in my life. I have been with AAA for a decade. I decided to switch my insurance to them last summer. I can NEVER reach my agent. I leave messages and no one returns my calls. I have waited on hold for over an hour and still no one answers. It’s insane how you simply cannot reach your agent or any agent at all. It took over a week of calling to speak to a person and they weren’t even helpful or seemed to be able to answer questions about my policy. It’s not acceptable that you can’t reach an agent when you need one.

Negative experience: This place is a joke. I had a lady coughing...no hacking a lung every 5 seconds. She coughed up a phlegm onto my paperwork & I didn't notice, she handed it back & there's a massive yellow glob of phlegm on it & she sees it giggles & says oh sorry. I had to hand it back and ask if she could get it off my paper and she totally changed from kind to rude and came up with this ridiculous issue and made it her mission to be as unhelpful as possible. If you can go to a different office, save yourself the headache & go elsewhere. It wasn't just the gross lady. It's too much to text but that place is a nightmare. I've had to go there 3 times, 3 different representatives, & everyone I interacted with was awful

Negative experience: Do not get auto insurance here! They couldn’t handle a simple transfer of an auto policy. Had all my info wrong and I had to pay for the bogus policy and the corrected policy. After dealing with other insurance companies, I realized the AAA staff is inexperienced. You don’t talk to someone experienced until there is a problem. Saved a lot going elsewhere!

Positive experience: I was not very happy about being on hold for 2 hours and 36 minutes. I eat breakfast, worked on my puzzle, shaved my legs, and took a shower all while being on hold. So, after showering I took a ride to the AAA location all while being on hold. I am a AAA member and this location is very convenient, so I was not happy to walk into the location while still on hold. Was not a happy camper at all. Something need to be done with taking someone call. What happened to customer service. The worst part was I had a real quick question.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I renewed my license at a facility other than the DMV. From now on this is the way I'm going to do it. I was in and out of the AAA office of Lowell in 20 mins. All you have to do is make an appointment two weeks prior and bring the appropriate paperwork needed to get your license renewed and they take care of the rest. The staff here is much friendlier and more courteous than the grouchy miserable people at the DMV of Lowell. I would hardly recommend anybody renewing their license to do it through AAA. You will have less hassles and be in and out of there in less than a half an hour

Fantastic experience: Amazing service when renewing my license. There were some issues when trying to complete the application however the team were incredibly good, phoned the RMV and managed to ensure it all went through. Highly recommended - thank you

Fantastic experience: Thank you Melanie, Kerry and Mary Beth! I went in to renew my license/real ID, but somehow dropped one of my documents. It was by appointment only, and I would have to go back home to retrieve this document. I was able to return and the ladies still honored my appointment. They were incredibly kind and patient.

Fantastic experience: I came to AAA to renew my license as it had expired on my birthday on July 6th. I didn't realize that the RMV was by appointment, and I wasn't going to be able to get an appointment until July 25th. Being able to go to AAA for my RMV needs really was super helpful and convenient as I was able to do it on a saturday good morning. Not only was convenience a factor but also they are very knowledgeable in everything you may need and friendly. Would definitely recommend for RMV services

I walked in, waited in a short line for about 2-3 minutes. One of the managers (a blonde woman) was genuinely kind and in a positive mood, happy to help me out and make sure I had all my paperwork, took my photo, printed my license and I was out the door in under 15 minutes. So happy with this location and with my experience!
Negative experience: AAA drivers refuse to go here because of numerous altercations with the owner Chris the owner. He's EXTREMELY RUDE AND RIPS PEOPLE OFF....Even the cops said that they are always responding to calls and issues there. This place should be shut down....The owner clearly has either a psychological or drug problem.....If you don't like your job, give it to a nicer person. Nicer people, better world!........THIEF

Fantastic experience: I wanted to add a family member and renew my driver's license/get a real ID. I had an DMV appt for two weeks after license expiration, earliest opening. I'm old school, go to registry on your birthday wait for hours, get it done. Oh no, times have changed. Enter Mary Beth, gave her my info. Added the new member quickly, Lowell office was totally booked, but Tewksbury had an opening the next day, my birthday. Booked it, I had all the info needed for real ID, went to Tewksbury, got my real ID, no issues. Great!! So 5 stars to Lowell, Tewksbury AND Mary Beth, she's the best!!

Negative experience: The day before Veterans Day I called the Lowell office to ask if I needed to make an appointment to come in the next day and meet with a travel agent for help with flights and hotel for an upcoming trip to NYC. She said Nope! Just come on in and someone will help you! So the next day I made the half-hour drive to the Lowell branch, only to find it dark and locked and closed for Veterans Day. Needless to say I was not happy. So I drove home and the next day, again made the half-hour drive to the Lowell branch. This time, Yay! They were open! I went in and stood in line, only to be told by the man at the counter that THEY DONT HAVE ANY TRAVEL AGENTS WORKING OUT OF THE LOWELL BRANCH! When I told him of my phone call with one of his coworkers two days before, and my now TWO wasted trips, he kinds chuckled and shook his head. He was kind enough to give me the phone number of a travel agent in the Tewksbury office, which I called as soon as I got back in my car. Got voice mail, left a message. Still haven't got a callback a week later. Anyway, made my own travel arrangements without them. I did send a complaint via email to the national office oh, five days ago now. No response. Not sure what I'm paying for with my Plus membership...not much, I guess.

Negative experience: For the 1978 mini winnie Itasca motorhome which is run by a Chevy van 30 engine call AAA tell them that and then they give you the AAA Plus for RV but then when you need a tow they tell you you don't have RV coverage in Massachusetts so you end up paying for a membership that you can't use you can't get a tow they charge you $250 for a tow and don't reimburse you so if you have an RV and you live in Mass think twice about calling AAA! Not to mention they don't even get the name of your motorhome right.
