Positive experience: I went to get a couple of maps and how to get yo the travel book on lines. The person up front came back with the items I asked for plus a book just on the area of Myrtle Beach I'm going to. I was looking at it and it's dated 2020 so none of the coupons or shows are pertinent and probably half the restaurants are gone or changed.

Negative experience: Everyone is very nice, but came in twice within two weeks for a check engine light, first time they said it was a "miscellaneous misfire" charged $1,500 for spark plugs and fluids, second time they said it was the starter and that would cost me another $700 and that my coolant was leaking. Took it somewhere and they quoted me 10k for a new engine because both head gaskets were blown. How was this not caught the first time?? Seems like the issue was there and if they were thorough the first time it would've been caught.

Negative experience: This is the end of my 30+ year membership and I would give a negative five stars if I could. Here is my experience in a nutshell: 1- Daughter had brake problem on Saturday 7/21, called AAA towing to schedule tow. Waited 7 hours and no tow truck ever showed up. No updates, etc... She called and canceled after midnight so she could go home to bed. 2- Re-scheduled tow on Sunday 7/22. Over 12 hours before they showed up. Again, no updates after telling her initially it would be 45 minutes. 3- Towed to Glenside Car Care. Daughter called and left voicemail regarding the issue. 4- Daughter called back Monday, 7/23 and was told they would look at it tomorrow....then told her that everyday until I called today, Friday, 7/26. 5- When I called, they ummmed and hawed and finally told me the car had been assigned to a tech earlier in the week who was on vacation and no one knew it so it had just sat all week.....then once again, they said, we will look at it "next..." An hour later they called back and said it was an ABS pump for the brakes and they were incapable of performing the work and I would have to have it towed somewhere else. Somewhere competent. On top of that, I had to call and schedule AAA to pick it up instead of their service team handling it. What a bunch of buffoons. I am dropping AAA today and encourage everyone else to do the same to avoid this same situation.

Positive experience: I went here to renew my international driver's license. The place is very clean and bright. Free coffee & bottled water while you wait. Quite a crowd on a Saturday. Had to wait, but not too long. The representative who assisted me was very professional, polite and friendly. Nice that they will take the photographs for you. Also bought a set of four empty travel bottles. Nice selection of various travel items. Nice to get my member discount on everything.

Fantastic experience: Suzanne Sauve-Smith was superb in helping us plan a vacation to the Oregon Coast. She had a perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness to put us at ease right away. She very efficiently helped us make hotel reservations by pulling up the excellent AAA database to see our options. She also quickly made phone calls when we needed more information. We never felt rushed to make decisions; only well served by her knowledge and supportive listening. Negative experience: Went to have my oil changed and they checked everything else. I know I need tires and windshield wipers and it was checked off that my wipers were fine, but they're not even fine at all,(justwaitingforpayday to buy new ones), they're ripped and broken... so why did they state that they're fine? Obviously they never checked them but stated they did. Not good at all! Makes me unhappy that I can't even trust AAA Car Care. They're the ones I trust the most, but not now. To top everything off my car at certain times starts bucking and is very sluggish while driving and it was totally fine before I brought my car in to AAA Car Care at Glenside Drive in Virginia. People have a tendency to take advantage of "women" with their car issues and I feel like I've just been taken advantage of. Why all of a sudden is my car acting up when it has been running perfectly fine. I just needed an oil change and now I have other car problems to worry about suddenly. Very upset customer who is tired of bringing my car into a service station for routine car and leaving with added problems that all of a sudden happen overnight. I've been through hell with a 2 other cars that I had and those places serviced your car and then caused something to go wrong with the car so that you bring it back again for more untimely service resulting in more money to dish out while they pocket the money for a low repair volume quota. I'm not saying that they did that, I don't know...but many places do do just that. Maybe something was hit loose or knocked out or off...I just want my car fixed. (You can see that my 2 wipers are torn, as shown in the photos, so how is that overlooked?)

Negative experience: We've been to AAA Car Care before for minor maintenance issues: inspections, battery, etc and they did a good job. A few weeks ago, our car was having difficulty starting, so we went to AAA to find source of the problem. The diagnosis: a new alternator. $650+ The next day, we were driving to the grocery store when our car shut down entirely, leaving us stranded on a busy highway. We called AAA for a tow to their Car Care Center. Four days and ANOTHER $350+ they finally declared they could not fix it. We had it towed to the dealership and finally repaired. So $1000 and two replacement parts later (and the car wouldn't even start) tell me that beyond the basics, AAA Car Care is not up to the challenge.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in to get an International License for Japan trip. Met by Trayvon Harvey. This man could not have been more helpful. His manner of trying to sell me on some extras was very professional and not pushy. I did not upgrade at this time, but if we do it will be because of Mr. Harvey and his professionalism.

Positive experience: There are a lot of mechanics in town but I've been coming to this branch specifically because service and professionalism (which I experienced with car inspections, car service, tires, international drivers permits, etc.) is very good. Today's was just so-so. Megan's demeanor didn't appear in line of what I expect from this branch, or any other service sector employee for that matter. Car service was fine but soon after I left and put my wipers on to remove some pollen I realized they didn't refill my wiper fluid.

Fantastic experience: Had no idea this place was even here! They offer international driving permits - super simple process. One snag was that their photo machine was down, but I appreciated that they knew to recommend a CVS just down the street.

Negative experience: Do not come to this place. Customer service is not their priority. I brought my car to get the tire replaced and the representative took the phone call as I am standing in front of her waiting. I asked for a manager Pamela and asked her is it normal policy to ignore the customer and take a call and as she continued to go around in circles her final answer was YES. They (Triple A) can’t be surprised people are leaving and gong with their insurance.

Negative experience: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. If I could give this 0 out of 5 Stars I would. Hands down one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. My car was having issues with shutting off while I was driving so I took it to them because of how close they were when I broke down. They had the car for a couple of days and quickly "fixed" it. When I came to pick it up, I wasn't even able to get it up the road 2 miles before it started to overheat. There is no way they could have did a test drive in his car before they returned it to me because if they did they would have found out that they made a mistake somewhere. I then had to turn around and get towed right back to the shop. The lack of empathy, urgency and accountability made the situation 10x worse. TERRIBLE customer service and problem solving abilities. They did not own up to even the possiblity they made a mistake or that the car was damaged while in their care. I was advised that leadership/ownership would reach out regarding my written complaint and have failed to do so. It's been a month now.

Negative experience: Very poor communication while the car was in the shop. Didn't reconnect a ground cable causing a whole system to report as failing. Only realized their mistake once a different mechanic checked the car. When calling about it, no empathy or apology from the manager. Stated there wasn't much she could do. Negative experience: We started having problems with the car starting in mid-July. They replaced the alternator. Problems again in August. Took it back twice and they said the car started. Picked it up on Tuesday and it completely died on Thursday. Had it towed to AAA. Was told by Pamela that there were four people ahead of us and hopefully we would hear something by Friday evening. Fast forward to Monday. Called in the morning and they had no update. Called late this afternoon and they still haven't got to it. Now we're looking at Tuesday morning at the earliest. Don't take your car here!

Negative experience: My car sat at AAA for 8.5 hours after I was told that they would be able to inspect it today. When I called after 7.5 hours to ask if my car was ready, they had not gotten to it and sounded like they forgot about it. Very disappointed in the customer service.

Fantastic experience: While in Richmond on a trip with a friend yesterday my brakes started squealing like birds. I called AAA and spoke to advisor Mike with some amount of desperation in my voice. He talked to the techs and then agreed to squeeze my car in for a brake inspection. After that he advised me the techs thought it would be unsafe to for us to continue our trip home without replacing the pads, rotors, and calipers on both rear wheels. The team of Mike and techs Justin and Noah sprang into action and performed the required work within three hours time, allowing us to resume our trip and arrive home in daylight. Many, many thanks to Mike, Justin, and Noah, and to AAA for making sure we could drive home safely!

Negative experience: Another horrible customer service experience. This is the third time I’ve tried to use this place for different reasons and had a bad experience. Called on Wednesday about getting our car inspected and was told to drop the car off on Thursday. They will do it first thing Friday and have it done. Well today is Friday called at 1 o’clock and was told that our car was the next car in and it would be done by the end of the day. Called back at five. We were told that our car hadn’t been brought in and will not be done today. The lady on the phone was very rude both times. She told my daughter that clearly she didn’t know how the inspection process worked. We won’t be going back.

Negative experience: Deep frustration at the inability of the AAA Car Care team to offer an idea of the expected wait. The person at the desk refused to provide an idea of how long it would take for a State Inspection last week, and how long for the re-inspection today. Of course they cannot give a specific time - but AAA Car Care would not offer any idea of how long it would take. Altogether I waited 6.5 hours at AAA. I do not recommend using AAA Car Care Glenside unless you have unlimited time to wait.

Negative experience: The only good experience I had with AAA is the gentleman by the name of Juston that works in the automotive care center he was polite and very professional, I have call for a tow on two occasions and no one showed up and I am a premium member. I called to get my car keys out my car because they were locked inside, it took more than 3 hours,I ended up getting the keys out myself and cancelling the call,they showed up in the fourth hour ,after the was already cancel. The service I have received as a premium member has been very poor.

Positive experience: Nice enough folks and service was OK. Building entrance is bizarre, you come in on the corner and around the back from the desks. Stupidly laid out. When you walk in its unclear where to go, and it took a long time for anyone to guide me or help me out. But I got what I needed fairly quickly. I'd suggest they add some signage or have someone greeting folks as they come in.

Negative experience: Used this location for Amazon hub pickup. The person attending the transaction, with long fake blond hair was exceptionally rude and took way too long to conduct a package pickup. Also, no place to park. If you are going to use for Amazon hub pickup, I would absolutely go elsewhere. And finally, none of the employees were wearing masks which seemed disrespectful to the customers as well as just mind boggling.

Negative experience: We made an appointment early in the week for an early Saturday morning appointment to have a diagnostic performed on our vehicle. We were given a 2 hour time frame that would be confirmed by a representative. That confirmation never came, so I called to check on the appointment, and ended up having to make it for 1pm that Saturday. It's Tuesday now, and not a peep from AAA. I've called several times proactively, and was told that someone was on a job, then taken off, then on again, and performing the diagnostic. I called today and was told that the car hasn't even been looked at.......needless to say I will never be back, and would never recommend.

Fantastic experience: My experience today at AAA Glenside was wonderful. My interaction involved the help of two office staff, Christine and Mr. Rule. They were both incredibly helpful and generous with their time and efforts on my behalf. The atmosphere is peaceful even with many staff working there and the building, itself, is modern and clean. Fantastic experience: Saturday, November 20, 2021, I started my car and the battery check engine light appeared. Of course, I was scheduled to go out of town, for the Thanksgiving holiday. I stopped at the AAA Glenside Car Care in the late afternoon. I encountered the most knowledgeable CSR. Pamela was amazing and worked me in for service. Between her and the service technician Thomas, I was safe and secure. Turned out it was not a battery issue, but the alternator!! Thomas diligently worked on the vehicle until finished. I am so grateful to this establishment, for retaining such dedicated individuals. They are the representatives of this company and corporate should take notice. In a time where employers are having great difficulty in obtaining employees, I would definitely praise those individuals that go above and beyond! Additional Review!!!! Saturday, January 8, 2022, Wow, this seems like dejavu! Once again, I went to start my car and nothing. This round was the battery and AAA Glenside Car Care was there to lend a hand. CSR Pamela and Aaron were most helpful. I was able to purchase a quality battery and have it installed in less than 45 minutes!!!! The shop tech Jesse was most gracious and went the extra mile. I highly reccomend this establishment. Great customer service.

Negative experience: Took my car in to get a oil change and serpentine belt changed. They left my oil cap loose so oil spilled all over my engine. Took it back now my serpentine belt is eaten up by the engine.. Let's see what happens next

Positive experience: I came in for an oil change, alignment, and specifically a tire rotation. I will say everyone was super pleasant and accommodating, hence the three stars. However, the technician opted not to rotate my tires because "they didn't need it," but my reasoning behind why I wanted them rotated was due to the fact I have one new tire that I wanted to be moved to the back because it causes the car to pull to the left. I wish I would've been asked about this. Once I realized I called, they offered to have me bring it back, but this would be a waste of time and gas. I guess I just expected more for having a platinum membership and paying $100+ dollars for services. I'm not trying to get anyone documented or anything. I think that there should simply be a change to this procedure.

Positive experience: EDIT: Spoke with new GM Aaron on the phone today, assured me that under his management these type of bad business practices do not occur. Aaron seemed like a good dude. Original Review: Had the Spark plugs on my 2005 Mustang GT changed here roughly two years ago. I recently took my car to the local Ford dealer for some normal maintenance and they alerted me to the fact the spark plugs in my car were some terrible third-party brand that should have NEVER been put in any vehicle. Glad to know that this AAA branch likes to squeeze out every dollar in savings possible by putting low quality parts in customer vehicles. Will NEVER use this location for service again.

Negative experience: Car was dying. Had battery replaced first. Car still died. They said it was my alternator. They replaced my alternator and car kept dying. They never ran the codes on my check engine light. I ran them myself. Ended up being my CAM sensor. Paid about 1200 dollars before they even diagnosed the problem correctly then paid another 200 for the CAM sensor replacement. You would think any mechanic would take the time to run the codes.

Negative experience: I had my vehicle towed to this AAA location and unfortunately was not satisfied. This was my first time needing a tow to a AAA car care center since moving to the area. My previous experience with other AAA car care locations have been wonderful. I brought my car to this location due to me being a member and me having the confidence in the team to provide me with the most accurate information about what possibly is going on with my vehicle. However, when given the diagnostic information of my vehicle I was told that my motor needed to be replaced. I was not given a clear explanation as to why or what resulted in that conclusion (piston jam, Oil Pressure Sensor broken, ect.). I was told that from the look at the condition of my vehicle, as well as that I do not get oil changes on the regular, (information that wasn't even asked about), I needed a new motor. I requested that the Oil Pressure Sensor be replaced before dumping money for an engine that may not be the issue. I had not received a call once that part was replaced, and I had to call and inquire about an update on my vehicle. I was informed that my vehicle was in the same state as when I brought it in, and that the motor needed to be changed. I decided to tow it to a Hyundai dealership, and upon arrival for my vehicle, my vehicle was actually not left in the same condition that it was in. When I dropped off my vehicle it was not turning on. When picked up to be towed it actually turned on. Not happy with the lack of communication. Hyundai tech was able to give me a possible explanation without looking at it just yet, and the explanation made complete sense. I just wanted a valid explanation, and not a reason that seemed to be focused on hitting my pockets. Update: I received only an email asking me for my information and when the best time to talk would be. Never received follow up communication after that. Also, found out that my engine did needed to be replaced... but it was due to a recall. Triple A looked into a recall for my heat pump, but didn't look into a possible recall for my engine. Once again, I believe they were focused on hitting my pockets instead of looking for my best interest.

Negative experience: On June 4, 2021, I took my vehicle into the AAA Glenside Car Care Insurance Travel Center. My vehicle was diagnosed as needing a new air compressor for the a/c unit. I am using an extended warranty and I was informed that the individual that processes warranty claims would be out of the office June 4th through the first few days of the week of June 7th but my vehicle could be repaired the week of June 14th. I was told that he would file my warranty claim on my behalf when he returned and then I can bring my vehicle in for repairs to start after the claim was approved. I called AAA a number of times the week of June 7th for updates and was told that my warranty claim had not been filed but I would receive a follow up when it is. I never received a follow up so I called on June 15th and was then told that in actuality nothing can be done for me because before they can file my warranty claim they will have to have my vehicle left at the facility. I went up to the facility that same day to schedule to have my vehicle left and repaired the week of June 15th but the customer service that I received from the Assistant Manager (I believe his name is Michael) was horrible. He was very rude. When I attempted to explain what I experienced and what I was promised prior, he rolled his eyes and said "WELL I'M TELLING YOU NOW THAT I CAN'T GET YOU IN UNTIL NEXT WEEK". Next week is the week of June 21st, well after what was originally discussed and promised. The Asst Manager's service was so bad that I asked to speak with the store manager in which he replied "He's new and I don't have his contact information." I asked for the store manager's name and the asst manager only said, "Caleb, and he started 6 days ago". This is unacceptable. I could have had my a/c compressor repaired long before now if I went elsewhere, but I was promised service from AAA and they refuse to deliver. This AAA Car Care center has wasted my time, provided bad customer service, and did not honor their word.

Negative experience: The staff were all very friendly with me, but my experience overall was pretty bad. I had AAA tow my car the day prior, and sent to this location. This location wasn't able to service it, because they don't have an A-tech and couldn't get the car inside the garage. This part was understandable, but the part that earned this review was that I was never called or informed of this, and only found out just before closing when I called them to ask. I was never updated about this, or given any information. To their credit, when I was afraid I would be late due to slow Lyft times, an employee did say they'd be willing to stay and make sure I was able to retrieve the keys for a tow truck (I said I'd be up to 10 minutes late). It should have been easy to let me know within an hour of open though, if they couldn't get the car inside, and I'd have been able to get my car handled elsewhere about a day earlier, and avoided a lot of headache in handling it.

Fantastic experience: We went in there to check on auto insurance and the woman who helped us was very friendly and extremely helpful. We ended up getting auto and home insurance and she was able to save us almost $800.00 a year.

Fantastic experience: I loved getting my oil changed here! I had a coupon from a kroger receipt and they were so accommodating. Not as fast as one of the drive thru places like valvoline or jiffy lube, took about 40 minutes, but way more worth it. Feels very thorough, and my car feels better to drive now. Usually with JL or Valvoline changes, there isn't a noticable difference. Here they checked the battery, changed oil, rotated tires, changed oil filter, checked out all hoses, checked fluids, filled wiper fluid, checked tires. So much better
