AAA Lakeland

Negative experience: Specifically for Vasthi Laurore a licensed insurance agent at the lakeland location. While switching insurances for 2 autos and house she allowed me to get billed twice due to her mistake for not canceling one. I had a terrible experience and it was difficult to get any kind of movement to resolve the problem. The agent took poor accountability. It was inconvenient to take unexpected time off of work, spend hours on phone, and to keep returning to the office.

Fantastic experience: Excellent and quick service, came for passport photos and was in and out within 20 minutes.

Positive experience: Excellent staff, the facility could use a bit of modernization

Negative experience: Horrible experience have now been on the side of road blocking traffic for hours now and have been told more then twice someone was 10 min away to find out they can't find a driver

Negative experience: So we have been a member of AAA since 1994. We needed a Florida State map. Simple, right? I go to this office and they don't have any. Really? Ridiculous. AAA , you need to do better. Very disappointing.

Negative experience: I broke down on interstate 4 last night while coming back from the beach with my dog and called AAA like I had always planned on doing in this emergency. Everything seemed to go fine with the online process of telling them where I was through the link they send you but after an hour of waiting with no confirmation or hint that someone was coming to get me I started to worry. I called again and was sent the same link that said we are on our way. Another hour passed without speaking to someone about when I might get off this road so I call again and go through the menu options to ask for any additional options I might have the phone was on hold for about 30 minutes and then it went back to the pre-recorded dialogue at the beginning of the call. After waiting a total of 3 hours without hearing from anyone I had a family member drive out to pick me and my dog up and left my car sitting on the side of the road. I will no longer have any faith in AAA for future emergencies.

Negative experience: Man set up your own trips. We had to double pay for our rental on the other end. And we did not get the vehicle we wanted in Atlanta after they confirmed we had it. Getting your money back you have to escalate everything. But they take your payment every month. And don't be late.

Negative experience: Wait so long, after 3 hours you can leave the vehicle, But if you do, your vehicle won’t be towed for over 8 hours, and then no one cares , you cannot talk to a manager as they say your vehicle is unattended. So just sit in your vehicle 6 hours, then they may help you! Canceling my membership tomorrow. Never had to use until now and very disappointed

Negative experience: AAA did not help us at all. We where stranded for 3 to 4 hours. We had to get someone else to help us. The tow truck driver called us at 7:30pm, at our home, he said he just got the e-mail from AAA. We called AAA at 3:00pm for help. Not good service at all, very disappointed in AAA and I am a long time member.

Fantastic experience: Lindy was wonderful. She helped me get a lower rate for my car insurance and saved me a bunch of money. She is kind and professional. Would definitely recommend her as your agent if you need auto insurance

Negative experience: Let's see which time first time was 6 hours waiting for help on I4 in florida, then husband waiting for a tow to local dealer 4+ hours they says oh gotta find a truck to tow your vehicle, it a Ford 150. Really seems Aaa has gone down hill looking for new new company for emergency services

Negative experience: AAA misdiagnosed my vehicle. 2.5 years ago they replaced my battery. This weekend my vehicle would not start. AAA tested it and they said that the battery wasn't the problem. I went to the dealership and they replaced the battery tested the electric system and found nothing else wrong. I suspected the battery all along. My car is now working well, AAA test procedures/ equipment not so much!

Negative experience: I think they are going out of business. Waiting 2 days for a tow. Actually happening. Customer service on phone will hang up on you for no reason. Tow truck companies stating the dispatcher at AAA is not working. They cancel your tow and will not keep you updated. Very rude and incompetent service. My insurance company is more respected from the tow truck companies theman this company

Negative experience: Since 10am today to 7pm no tow truck came. All tow truck companies also told me the dispatcher here does not know what they are doing. Gh etto fabulous customer service to go with this. I called tow truck companies and AAA today to figure this out. 4 tow truck new calls it what it took today. A few tow truck owners spoke to me today telling me they will no longer want a contract from AAA.

Negative experience: Well i called in a call at 1:36 today im still waiting for them to pick up my trailer at 6:45 I ordered rv plus to be able to have trailer hauled if I had issues. Well ive got issues n they don't even send an update to let me know they're still working on it or nothing. I've had to call 3x n all I get is I can call someone myself in submit it for a refund. Well my friend Amanda did that 3 yrs ago n never got it back. So they have really went way down in customer service. From 5 stars to known. I only pushed 1 star cause it wouldn't let me post stars

Negative experience: The tow truck or roadside assistance service is terrible; this is the second time we've had to wait more than 4 hours. Is there only one tow truck? I've been in Sebring since 6 PM, and it's 9 PM and it still hasn't arrived. It's deficient; the tow truck personnel they hire are awful. They tell me the tow truck was coming from Orlando? You really don't care about people.

Negative experience: They sent me an email saying that they could save me 3 to 4 hundred dollars on my car insurance. I went to get a quote and it was $100.00 more than what I'm paying now. AAA is a joke, don't waste your time.

Negative experience: Contacted local AAA for roadside assistance and had vehicle towed. Was under the assumption that towing service is up to 4 times per year with the Gold Plus Plan. Was informed that the service is One tow per breakdown, which did not help me today when it was most needed. Was unaware of this policy and customer service was not helpful. Have been a member since 1994 but will not renew again. There are other automotive clubs out there that appear to be more accommodating to their customer needs in regards to the Roadside Assistance.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed in the car service. We have purchased a battery from AAA. The battery is dead and needed to be replaced. We spoke to a service representative. She looked it up and said it was still under warranty. When the service man came, he said it expired. It actually didn’t expire until June (this is May). We called the customer service and they said they will send another tech. He never showed up. Called a 3rd time and was told the tech cancelled the appointment.

Negative experience: On April 8 I called for service I had 2 wait over 4 hrs for a tow truck & that truck came from ORLANDO the driver was pleasant enough, but bearly spoke English or understood English, but he tried I was never informed I could call another company & send AAA the bill for reimbursement

Positive experience: I've been a member for decades and it's been a great service for years. Key assistance, roadside assistance, towing, travel planning, discounts, and even purchasing luggage has been amazing benefits I used for many years. And the Lakeland AAA location has been wonderful as a full service location, but I haven't needed to use my benefits in quite a long while. Recently, I decided to use the travel company again, but after multiple calls and messages left, no one has responded. I cannot drive to the office since I work during the hours of operation (8-5, M-F) and since I can't seem to find help from them, it is making me question if continuing to pay for my membership is still worth it. Unable to get assistance, I have changed my international travel plans and may reach out to someone else next time. I have hope that they may surprise me and reach out since I have moved on to planning next year's trips.

Negative experience: Useless. Unlocked car and left. Y9ld them keys were in trunk and they said idc cant help you. Terrible service

Negative experience: We called AAA TODAY AT 2:15..WE LIVE IN Winter Haven 10 min from Legoland in FL. Gave us an eta of 2 1/2hrs we called twice asking where they were given the run around both times finally we called a tow truck to come and give us a jump.we have a 2017 Ford escape . Never had a problem begore..I myself have ha AAA FOR 30 YRS AND PROBABLY USED THEM TWICE IN ALL THE YEARS WELL TODAY DID IT! NO ONE SEEMED TO CARE and that's pitiful!

Positive experience: I gave 3 stars because the tow truck company that was supposed to come tow my car to my house kept calling and yelling at me and blaming me they had the wrong address when I clearly gave triple a where the car was getting towed from and too.

Negative experience: My car broke down so I had to call AAA numerous times due to their automated line then got everything squared away after an hour waiting in the heat for an hour with no tow truck call I called again they informed me I had at least another hour and a half. What a joke. We'll see how this plays out.if I get heat stroke there's definitely a lawsuit coming

Fantastic experience: We had to get some documents notarized so I called up AAA and they said come on down. We went inside and checked in and in just a few minutes Robert came out to help us. We were his first notary job since he got a certification. We read through everything and he was able to help us out with everything we needed. Very friendly people in this office nice waiting area and fast service. We could not ask for more. So if you go in and say hi to Robert.

If presented with a situation that is unknown to them , they will work to find the correct answer. I've been a member of AAA fo 32 years and I have used their services several times from tire repair, battery issues, towing, leisure travel and emergency cross country travel. Thank you to all AAA employees who have made this possible.

Negative experience: So I have been a AAA member for 10 years and had to use their roadside assistance for the first time today. I am on the northbound side of Highway 429 in Orlando with my disabled car. It’s now 2 hours since I called and there is no sign of the tow truck. AAA turns out to be a complete waste of time

Negative experience: This is the second time I use AAA service and their projected ETA is simply a lie. My experience has been they have limited service providers and they are not jumping at the AAA service calls but rather turning them down. I just called for a gas service after running out of Gas on the i4 and the ETA was one hours after a hour and no updates I call and the provider on my confirmation had turned down the call and I had to wait two more hours for them to find a provider that would take the service call. Terrible service.

Fantastic experience: Member Representative Linnea Vogt took care of my travel plans when I was in the Lakeland office a few weeks ago. I had two trip planned and so happy I went to her office. Within minutes she chose the perfect driving route for my trips. Supplied me with tour books for each area,, maps, and TripTiks. Even printed out extra information for each city including highlights, suggested hotels and restaurants.. Linnea is so helpful and professional with her wealth of knowledge pf travel. She made my trip a breeze. I just want to thank her for all her work and attention to details. I have used her services in the past and would not make a trip without her. Thanks Linnea for a job done well beyond my expectations!
